Speculation arose when a key was spotted on a promotional banner for ' Half-Blood Prince' at Borders Bookstores.
An informant from Borders has said,
"The key is a visual element only, it also appears in our Harry Potter email alerts."

oh!! But my cousin told me that she read in a newspaper that here in India it was releasing on 16th August. I didn't want to believe her at first because the movies release on the same day world wide so why wouldn't the books too release on the same day?
It would make sense that way. Maybe the newspaper got the wrong information.
