Brand-new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was shown at Las Vegas' ShoWest convention earlier today. FirstShowing viewed the screening, hosted by Alan Horn, president of Warner Bros, and gave brief summaries of what they saw: Quote:

Ralph Fiennes' noseless Voldemort-- had dots on his face marking the future digital alteration that really makes him who he is. But they weren't just bold in what they showed us, but how they did it-- the first scene of the extended trailer was Harry and Voldemort's confrontation in the woods outside Hogwarts. Harry, bloodied and visibly terrified, approaches a cold Voldemort (flanked by Bellatrix Lestrange); Voldemort taunts Harry, "The boy who lived, come to die."

The footage started with Voldemort walking in the forest with all of his followers around him. He was looking for Harry. While I assumed the footage was going to be just from the first Harry Potter movie coming this November, I think the opening was from part 2 and it was from the big climatic battle between Harry and Voldemort!
So we see Harry coming towards Voldemort partly beat up and with a look of nervousness. It was then we cut away…

Oh my God...
My heart stopped reading this, and I completely froze... the Harry/Voldemort part gave me CHILLS (both parts), and I nearly screamed and freaked out.. just.. omg.. then I read the Quidditch Pitch.. burned.. and started crying, even though I was already tearing up quickly from just the description of the scenes alone.
Gah. -Wipes tears- I'm getting emotional because it's almost over. We're on the final adventure. No more HP after this. T__T I just wish I had been there to see it! XD Hopefully we'll get the clips on the internet as a "Behind the scenes" look or something, unless this means we're getting a trailer soon? :D

david yates has one final movie to reprieve himself. im not saying half blood prince was bad but the ending could have been spellbinding the shot of dumbledore conjuring the fire again was to short as was the final battle in order of the phoenix. i only hope that the final battle out does the lord of the rings final battle. the final part must be epic and spectacular and last for at least an hour. this final battle is what fans have been waiting for and dont want to be dissapointed. i just wonder if there gonna bring out an extended dvd of order of the phoenix where you get to see bellatrix and sirius duel coz i know they filmed those sequences and also in half blood prince where dumbledore says to harry im not worried im with you was also cut from the movie. at least mike newall tried to keep as much as he could in from goblet of fire and the final duel was amazing with harry and voldemort, but david yates seems to skate over the action parts with his versions of harry potter, even the dueling at the burrow which of course was not in the book was a little under done,. we should have seen remus and tonks and mr weasly blocking curses and firing them. i just hope that we get to see alot more dueling and battling and its not underdone in deathly hallows or i wont be buying the dvd.

dont get your hopes up on these last two movies guys that way you wont be dissapointed if they dont live up to your expectations. alot of people were geared up for half blood prince and many were let down because of the huge cuts that were made to the final film. i wasnt let down coz i went to the cinema with an open mind knowing what cuts were being made and knowing that the book and movie are two different things and that the movie wouldnt be exactly like the book. as for the final 2 movie yeah there have been things added like the burning of the quiditch stadium but i think this will add to the action and drama of it all. im not opposed at all to these additions and its sounding like they are finally staying pretty faithful to the book this time. if they get this right it could beat lord of the rings for the most epic finale of all time. fingers crossed eh.lol

just because they never said the Quittich pitch was burning doesn't mean it didn't "happen." a lot was happening at once in that book. i think it's a good idea and can't wait! Quote:
