Brand-new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was shown at Las Vegas' ShoWest convention earlier today. FirstShowing viewed the screening, hosted by Alan Horn, president of Warner Bros, and gave brief summaries of what they saw: Quote:

Ralph Fiennes' noseless Voldemort-- had dots on his face marking the future digital alteration that really makes him who he is. But they weren't just bold in what they showed us, but how they did it-- the first scene of the extended trailer was Harry and Voldemort's confrontation in the woods outside Hogwarts. Harry, bloodied and visibly terrified, approaches a cold Voldemort (flanked by Bellatrix Lestrange); Voldemort taunts Harry, "The boy who lived, come to die."

We saw little bits of everything, from the seven Harry Potters escaping from the Dursleys house (totally surreal) to the attack at Bill and Fleur's wedding to the escape from Gringotts on the pale dragon and even Hogwarts on fire. With unfinished effects it's hard to really say how it all looks, though some of the most effective moments were the simplest-- Ron and Harry's fight in the tent, Harry visiting his parents' graves, running away from the Snatchers in the woods, Harry defiantly telling Voldemort that he stays alive "because I have something worth fighting for."

UPDATE #2: Collider stated that the footage was about 4-7 minutes long, and also showed Rufus Scrimgeour, Harry and Ginny's kiss, and Harry and Voldemort's confrontation in the Forbidden Forest. Quote:
The footage started with Voldemort walking in the forest with all of his followers around him. He was looking for Harry. While I assumed the footage was going to be just from the first Harry Potter movie coming this November, I think the opening was from part 2 and it was from the big climatic battle between Harry and Voldemort!
So we see Harry coming towards Voldemort partly beat up and with a look of nervousness. It was then we cut away…

ok so we know that the cursed fire scene with malfoy has been filmed as its been stated in a previous article. but we also know that crabbe is not in that scene after he was dropped by warner bros after his drugs scandal........ question is who is replacing crabbe or will it be goyle who conjurs the fiend fire that destroys the tiara horcrux. just something to mull over. by the way it would be so cool if the rest of the world could see this preview altho im not getting my hopes up. i think it will be late july beginning of august when we start to see trailers. i aint putting your hopes down just being realistic. but if there is a trailer in the next few weeks that would be amazing.

OMG! AH AH AH AHHHHHHHHHHHHH AH AH AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! So sorry... I think I just got a heart attack... There should have been a sign saying beware/warning or something cause I definitely wasn't ready for all this exciting news. November seems so far away  I will be crying like a baby during the forest, Fred’s death, the graveyard, and Harry and Ron's fighting scenes. This movie is worth watching even for people who are not Harry Potter fans. All the special effects and additional scenes seem cool... I'm not complaining | |
