Sky news just reported that they got information from Warner Brothers today that said,

GOF sold 40 million cinema tickets in the UK and 180 milion dollors worth of tickets in USA which makes GOF have the 4th largest openeing day ever!

hilfog 11-21-2005 11:44 AM

It didnt beat azkaban becuz it was friday for half the earth....

http://www.inthenews.co.uk/screen-an...-$15095368.htm

and it will do better in USA next weekend isnt it thanks giving?

and it still has large countries to open in!

tonks26 11-21-2005 02:09 PM

No surprises there...though there are no official reports yet here in the Philippines there's no doubt that its the biggest earner in recent weeks...there are some movie centers that show nothing but GoF! And the queues are deadly...reservations for the opening were well sold out days before Nov 16th.

KA-CHING! I guess, for WB. :D

Kazters 11-21-2005 02:15 PM

bbc are now reporting the same

Ever since the announcement that Emma Watson will be playing Belle in Disney’s live action version of Beauty and the Beast, two main questions have arisen. 1. Who will play Beast? Unfortunately, there’s still no word on that. 2. What does Emma’s singing sound like? Well, we have the answer.

Back in August 2012, while in Reykjavik, Iceland, filming Noah, Emma Watson sang backup on Ben Hammersley’s Pantomine, along with instrumentalist Ólafur Arnalds. Have a listen (she comes in at 2.05 and 3.10).
