| | | False article doing the rounds
A translation of an article from 'Total Stars' magazine, is doing the rounds. It claims Dan said he wants to return for 'Order of the Phoenix', amongst other things. It has been confirmed that Dan did not say the things that are in this article. Quote:
Allegedly, Dan said the following in an interview :: Total Stars Question :: Will you participate in the next Harry Potter movie? Dan's Answer :: I really hope so, but I heard that I'm now too old to play Harry, and it doesn't surprise me! And they say the same for Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. I think it's ridiculous, and very sad... So we will see. Of course, if they let me make the decision, I will do it again!
Please let me stress this right now - IT IS TOTAL RUBBISH, Dan never said that.
Please be careful when reading rumour posts like this on other sites, especially translations of alleged quotes he says in teen or specialty magazines which are often fabricated. If I don't post it on this site, chances are I didn't because it is either untrue or it was from an unreliable source - and in this case Dan DID NOT say the things that are now circulating on the net from this article.
Quote:
Jenna said: "Dan has not done any interviews with any media this year yet, and that was confirmed with WB."
The only one from the trio who has said whether they want to stay on for film 5 was Rupert Grint. Quote:
"There's no reason, really, why we couldn't go on. I don't know about the others, but I want to go on."
However, Dan and Emma have expressed that they'd like to continue doing the films, in the past, if it's possible. Age shouldn't be an issue with Emma as Hermione is 15 in ' Goblet of Fire' (as she's born in 1979 as confirmed by Jo Rowling) and so is still slightly younger than her character.

I hope its the same actors because they're...familiar. The movies wouldnt be the same if they switched actors. I dont think I'd enjoy them nearly as much...

^ Me neither, I'd just spend the whole film pointing out how they were doing everything wrong!

I don't think they'd ever replace them. It's all or nothing; these kids or the films stop. WB know they wouldn't make a profit so what'd be the pointin continuing if one or all decided to leave or grew too old?

Dan, Rupert, and Emma have become the permenant image of Harry, Ron, and Hermione in my mind. The movies wouldn't be the same without them, or Tom, or Bonnie, or any of the others. Even if they are considered "too old", there is the miracle of Hollywood makeup and computer enhancement. Look at the transformation between Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban!
I agree completely with Marcella Riddle. It's all or nothing, people, all or nothing.

I can't see WB changing actors at this point, like everyone is saying they have became the image of the characters they play. Plus some people always look young for their age maybe these kids will.

I'd think it would be really hard to replace Dan, Emma, and Rupert by now. It's the same with Tom, Bonnie, and the rest. When people read the books and they're picturing Harry, Dan is the one they picture. At least that's the way it is for me anyway. It would be stupid really to change people by now. With every year Harry, Hermione, and Ron grow. So does Dan, Emma, and Rupert. They grow along with their characters. I don't see a clear reason as to why they'd change people for the roles. I think they'd have a lot of people all over ther world angered if the did that. I know I wouldn't be happy at all.

Whose ideas were to even fake up an interview?!? O.o If there were to be another generation of Harry Potter kids that remakes these movies within, say, 50 years or so, then that would be a different story. But to replace them now and on the spot, I won't live with that since, as everyone says, they've become an image to us.

I can't see anyone else playing Harry, Ron or Hermione. I won't watch the movies anymore if they put other actors. I mean I already have a hard time adjusting to the new actor that plays Dumbledore, let alone Harry Ron and Hermione.

Them being replaced isn't an issue because it'd never happen. If they did leave, that'd be it, no more films. But as I said, Emma is still younger than her character and although the others are alot older, boys do tend to age slightly slower than girls. They should be alright. If any left, I think it'd be out personal choice, not age.

Yeah. They all turn 15 by the end of the year/beginning of the next one anyways, just like the British school system. She just has her birthday early in the academic year.
I defiitely think it's all or nothing in regards to the trio.
