Exclusive: Half-Blood Prince London, Japan & New York premiere dates
 

We have just received confirmation from Warner Bros that the Japanese premiere of Half-Blood Prince will take place on Monday, July 6, 2009. The date was first announced at a fan event that took place in Japan on April 19, after which we inquired about the date.

Warner Bros also states that this is the FIRST world premiere, and that two more will take place afterwards in London and New York. The London premiere will take place on Tuesday, July 7th, and the New York City premiere will be the next day, on July 8th.

At the moment we do not know which of the stars will be attending the Japanese premiere; that information will be made public closer to the July date.

I'm fairly sure they kept it so close together so that they'll take less time to promote in order to go back and continue filming DH.

I assume you're referring to the misprint by Glam Sham magazine that the film will be released in June. The film's release date for India is still slated for July 17 per Warner Brothers.

Well it is, London is the big one, but the first premiere takes place in Japan.

Aww, all of those places are ages away from me. I doubt I'll be able to go all the way down to London for it. I'll just have to wait for when it comes out in the cinemas...

Yes, you are correct. I only want EVERYTHING to happen in the US, specifically the southeast because it would be convenient for me....kidding.

It REALLY is an amazing experience! I´ve only been in LA premiere two years ago and it was so exciting to see Rupert, Emma and Daniel (Actually I was trying to see just Emma) attending at Graumman´s, so many people attends and you can make new friends if you want. Now seems that the premiere is gonna be in NY, which is really cool but so far away from here... I´m not sure being there this time :(

Anyways, we should keep waiting for any more information about this before booking or planning. Just a little bit more ;)

Ack, you're right... I forgot that Japan's on the other side of the world. I blame my brain for wishing it were closer. They're 8 hours ahead of London, at least, so... yeah, with that time difference, it is completely possible. I feel a little dumb now. :D

Hey guys, I live in America but I'm actually going to be in London for the premiere!!! I've never tried going to one so I'm not really sure how to go about it... do you just show up outside of the cinema or is there something I should be doing ahead of time? This will be the greatest night of my life if I can actually pull this off!
