| | | Emma Watson attends & Tom Felton wins at 2011 MTV Movie Awards
Harry Potter actors Emma Watson and Tom Felton, as previously announced, hit the red carpet for the 2011 MTV Movie Awards, which will air live on the network at 9pm EST/8pm EST. Photos of Emma, in a short, white Marchesa cocktail dress, and Tom, can be found in our galleries.
Emma will present a new clip from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II as part of a montage of the Harry Potter film franchise. We will have the footage as soon as they're online, as well as if Tom, Emma, and Deathly Hallows: Part I win their awards. UPDATE: The first two awards have been given out: while Daniel Radcliffe lost out to former Harry Potter costar Robert Pattinson in the best actor category, Tom Felton won the Best Villain award for Deathly Hallows: Part I.
We will have a brand-new post for the new Deathly Hallows: Part II clip, to be presented by Emma Watson in a matter of minutes. | |

Emma was just stunning and gorgeous-love her hair...Tom looked hot!! Congrats to Tom
As for the other awards, the TW nonsense was a JOKE...we HP fans NEED to be out FULL FLIPPING FORCE NEXT YEAR!!!! We need to take back what is rightfully ours
The clip was nothing special but still cool to see nonetheless-nothing really new except for the start-kind of happy-dont want to be spoiled!!! |

EMMA looked sooooooo pretty!! AHHH I'm so jealous of her!!! Aghhhh I love her!! And I'm so happy for Tom! Even though Draco isn't really much of a villain
And I'm really sad that HP didn't win any other awards! It lost all of them to twilight people oh well. Maybe next year for part two?

Emma looked gorgeous!
I don't get Tom winning either, I love him but even in the scenes he was in, he hardly played the "villian" . Now Emma should've won for her category!

R-Patz won over Dan Rad? Well... Congrats, Tom! You deserve that award! But HP should have won way more. 38 days! AHH.

I wouldn't worry about the large-scale popularity of Twilight over Harry Potter - it's actually all about demographics with the Twilight wins for the MTV Awards. You'll notice in the voting you can sit there and vote over and over again for the same nominee. Twilight has a certain fan base who has the time and willingness to do such a thing. Harry Potter's fanbase is more diverse demographically - over age, gender, nationality. Many Harry Potter fans - such as myself - would never even consider watching the MTV awards - I've aged-out of them. I did see one clip when Kristen Stewart won and even she seemed to acknowledge the absurdity - she said "sorry Natalie - I got the popcorn!" It was pretty funny - she was basically recognizing that no female nominee had a better performance than Natalie Portman the past year.
Hey - the clip was awesome though huh?!
