Post Dobby Out, Kreacher In
It seems that when Harry gave Dobby the sock in Chamber of Secrets, he helped Dobby out of the series altogether! MTV.com reports that Dobby the House Elf will not be seen in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Toby Jones, the actor who voiced Dobby in CoS gives his opinion on why the part of Dobby was cut :

"I know that the filmmakers have a problem with each new film because the books are getting longer — there's so much to include in them,"
The article also says that Kreacher will be in the film, and notes the possible role of the house elf in the mysterious dissapearance of the locket at Number 12, Grimmauld Place.

One scene to look out for in the movie is whether or not Kreacher is seen taking a locket from Harry or Hermione while the pair clean Sirius' house.

No Dobby! There has to be Dobby in OotP! I agree with LunaLGood1, who else are they goin' to find the Room of Requirment?

Well, at least Kreacher is in OotP. But, for HBP, they have to have Doppy in it! And Kreacher of course.

I wish that Dobby was going to be in this movie but then what do us commoners know. I have thought that RAB could be Sirius's brother for a long time. With the mention of the locket in the 5th book it doesn't surprise me that it really could be Reguious.

I'm kinda miffed that Dobby keeps getting cut - I really like him and the dinamic that the house elves bring to the story...but I'm excited to see Kreacher.
