| | |  Dissendium Announces Triwizard Captains
The voting was furious this past week with webmasters vying to become captains of the three schools in Dissendium's Triwizard Tournament. Websites were nominated for the position and the ten sites with the most nominations competed for the three captain spots.
I am proud to announce that Snitchseeker came in fifth in the voting and I'll be the Assistant Captain for Beauxbatons beside Captain Melissa from The Leaky Cauldron. The other captains are Emerson from Mugglenet for Durmstrang and Jeff from HPANA for Hogwarts.
While enrollment in the tournament is technically closed, as one of the captaining sites, we have a special code you can use in order to sign up. (The special code is: SNITCHSEEKER)
For those of you that have enrolled already, you can now be sorted and head on over to your school's interactive common room. Hope to see you there! Note: If you're having trouble with seeing just a black screen for the sorting, try this:
Open the window. It will turn black.
Right click and choose “settings”
A little box will appear—ignore it
Right click again and choose “play”
The sorting hat will finally come to life for you.
Hit “close” on the little gray box that is hiding the sorting hat
Answer the questions and ta-da! You have been sorted!

Thanks for the sorting help, Kris! It worked like a charm and I'm sorted in Beauxbatons, baby! *boogies*
As for the site problems, I waited until the internet traffic went down (very early in the morning) and I didn't have any lag or slow loading times. On a dial-up connection, too! So, for a suggestion, try to get on the site when the traffic is not busy to get sorted.

hmm... Do you have shockwave installed? If you don't then you should get a plugin notice not black, though... hmmm... have you tried right clicking and 'play'?
EDIT: Nevermind, I'm having the same issue and just double checked their news. I thought they said they fixed the CR issue but, they are still working on it: Quote:

i tried since i got sorted yesterday to get into the common room, but with no success
i already had shockwave installed but the page is still blank and nothing comes out
i've tried this back in my office and not at home but still i can't get in
maybe dissendium.com have issues with their servers or something because now there're massive number of people who are trying to access their site
it would become a problem when the first task starts, so i hope they'll fix it in a jiffy before more compains are out

And yeah, they've already said that they've been having issues so people don;t need to keep posting that they are having problems. WE KNOW and so do they. Please be patient and let them solve the problem, they will post an announcement on their main page at www.dissendium.com when everything is up and running.
