Daniel Radcliffe & Tom Felton talk Deathly Hallows on Test Match Special (UPDATE #2)
Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton were today interviewed on Test Match Special on BBC Radio 5 live. They spoke about cricket, the match (England vs. Australia) and answered questions emailed in by fans, which prompted discussion about Deathly Hallows.
Dan confirms they have just done a week of night shoots and that Tom is in the film 'quite a lot'. Dan says he learns his lines the weekend before a shoot and goes over them on the morning of filming.
Dan goes on to compare cricket to Quidditch, saying they're both 'needlessly complex'.
They are also asked, should they get stuck on a desert island, what would they rather have; a cricket bat or a Firebolt.
Additionally they talked about how their close friendship developed, thanks to Tom's girlfriend, Jade, who Dan's particularly close to. They candidly talked about how they go from hating each other on screen to chatting about cricket and how Tom's now bleach-blonde hair attracts fans at matches. Dan waxes lyrical about cricket and compares test matches to a five act play & the parrallels between the achievements in filming and on stage and on a cricket pitch and also describes their and Jade's reaction to the balcony seats they're in. They admit to 'dragging' Jade along to 6 matches, consequently getting her into the sport. They also talk about the charity cricket match they played in last weekend.
UPDATE: Rotae has provided us with a partial transcript.
SPOILER!!: Dan & Tom interview
Aggers: Lots of people saying, Tom, I know you don't like your hair very much, but apparently, you look very much like Stuart Broad. Dan: *loses it in hysterics* HA HA!! Tom: Oh, don't! Dan: That's what your girlfriend calls you! Tom: I know! The weird thing about this, is that I went to a party, I don't know where it was, 'cause it was a few months ago, in which I met Stuart Broad. Dan: Did you? Tom: Yeah! And all their team came up to me and said, "PLEASE take a photo with Stuart, because we take the mickey out of him and call him Malfoy!" Dan: *laughs* Tom: So it's not just on my half... Aggers: Is that his nickname? Tom: Apparently so! Apparently... Dan: Even if it's not, we should start it. Tom: Let's start it, yeah. Dan: "And now Malfoy's coming in to bowl" Tom: "Malfoy's coming in to bowl"... I'd be honoured!
Tom: [Jade] knows the players, she know Broad very well, and she knows everyone else... so it's great! Nice to bring someone else along. Dan: She knows Broad very well just cause, you look like him. Tom [slightly exasperatedly]: Yes, thank you, Daniel.
[Indistinguishable] Tom: Only he's like, three foot-taller. When we had a photo together, I looked... physically abnormal next to him. Dan: Yeah. Tom: He is huge. Dan: Well, you've got a good three inches on me, Tom. Tom: Well, let's not go there...
Dan: Listen, I really do see parallels between cricket and acting. Tom: You mention this all the time on set... Dan: I know, I know... Tom: ALL THE TIME! Dan: I know, I'm dull.
And from the BBC Sports live commentary: 1343 - Aus 177-2 (51 overs)
Draco Malfoy to bowl from the Vauxhall End... sorry, it's Stuart Broad again, and Ricky Ponting lifts him over the helmeted Ian Bell at Reasonably Short Extra Cover for four.

I don't know much about Cricket but the interview was Hilarious!! LOL I love Tom and Dan, especially when they are so candid!! hahaha Great Pics as well!!!
I actually listened to this earlier today, and I really enjoyed it. I know absolutely nothing about cricket, but it was fun hearing them talk about the game and also about the movies and their characters. Really cool that they are such good friends off screen. And on the subject of cricket, I've tried to find videos of games so I could watch and try to learn more about it, but I can't seem to get more than a minute or two long clip here and there. Any suggestions?
I love these pictures of the two. Every single one.
They seem very relaxed and comfortable together.
They seem to be developing a deeper friendship and comaraderie.
I look forward to hearing the dialog, have not done so yet.
HP fan 71. If you are serious about wanting to watch DVDs of cricket. Go to amazon uk and try and find the 4 DVD box set of the 2005 ashes. This is the highlights of a fabulous series, will give an insight to the passion of the series and has wins, defeats and draws. It is the highlights, so don't expect that type of excitement all the time. Also, if you go to Amazon uk try and find a small humourous book called 'what is a googly' by rob eastaway. It explains some of the rules and the foibles of the game. But, it is not an easy game to get into. As Dan said, you can't explain the game that easily, sometimes it's more a matter of osmosis. just watch or listen and just enjoy, because people have watched this game for years and still don't know every thing about the game
