A picture of Dan Radcliffe, half an hour before he takes to the stage for a performance of Equus, has been featured in The Half: Photographs of Actors Preparing for the Stage by Simon Annand. The concept of the book is to capture the raw emotions experienced by an actor just before they launch into a live performance.  Quote: Daniel Radcliffe

“I wrote to Daniel’s father, who is also his manager, saying that some people in the book started their working lives in the Twenties and he was the youngest person in the book. He was becoming part of a tradition in the theatre and that meant something to him. He’s very serious about his work. Even though he’s carried these multi-million pound movies, he’s also a 17-year-old like any other. So I had to talk a lot during the shoot. We talked about cricket.”

 i really admire the guy's guts to do a nude play at 17!in fact he's 19 now but it doesnt make being nude onstage easier..any type of play takes a lot of work and guts but being nude takes a lot of will power!he looks serious and determined in that pic...good actor.

I love the pic, he looks so nervous, god, I hate to perform in front of a full theatre, I've only performed in front of 50-100 people and that's nervewracking. I hate to think what's going through Dan's mind.
