Several well-renowned and legitimate news sources are reporting that Daniel Radcliffe will finish his run as J. Pierrepont Finch on How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying before the new year, to be replaced by Glee and Harry Potter musical actor Darren Criss for a three-week stint beginning January 3, 2012. Deadline and E! Online stated that Criss' confirmation to the role will be announced as soon as this Monday.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that Dan's final day at How to Succeeed will be January 1, 2012, and he will indeed be replaced by Criss. The press release is below.

The producers of the 50th Anniversary production of the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING announced today that Darren Criss, breakout star of Fox’s Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning smash hit television show “GLEE”, will make his Broadway debut as J. Pierrepont Finch, performing a strictly limited three week engagement from January 3, through January 22, 2012. He will replace Daniel Radcliffe, who will play his final performance on Sunday, January 1, 2012. Tickets for Mr. Criss’ engagement in HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING are now on sale.

“Daniel gives an extraordinary performance eight times a week and we knew finding someone to fill his shoes would be nearly impossible. When we learned of Darren’s dream of performing on Broadway we knew we had found our Finch but presumed his “GLEE” schedule would eliminate any chance to work with him,” said director/choreographer Rob Ashford. “We are ecstatic and grateful to Ryan Murphy and his “GLEE” team at 20th Century Fox TV for helping to make both Darren’s and our dream come true.”

As much as I love Darren Criss, I kinda don't want to him to be in this musical (if it's actually confirmed to be true) because it seems like he's following Dan's footsteps in a way. If it's any other musical, I would be perfectly happy for him. But since it's this one...

I completely agree with you! Somehow, I got used to see Dan as Finch (even though I haven't watched the show yet) and I dunno, Darren just doesn't look like that sort of guy. I hope he'll be great though!

i dont know what to think...darren is amazing and i met him two times and daniel is amazing as well in the play since i saw him! now im going to have to see darren on broadway and see how he does! i know daniel wasn't going to last too much longer. i mean he needs a break from it all :]

Don't know the guy. inexplicably dislike the guy after seeing him on the red carpet at the uk prem for Harry - leaping around for the cameras. However, i Understand the reality of 'the show must go on', once Dan leaves. Who is replacing Larraquette? and who will take over after the three week stint? Or is this the start of the novelty casting?

I am so disappointed he'll be there that long because the first report I saw had him leaving November 6th. That would've meant he'd be able to attend the celebration event down at Universal Orlando!
