| | | Adult Deathly Hallows cover art most popular The Sun reports that various retailers are finding that the British adult edition cover art for Deathly Hallows is more popular with customers than the children's edition. Quote:
Nearly half of orders at Waterstone’s are for the adult edition — and more than 40 shops said adult orders were overtaking.
Quote:
Wayne Winstone, of Waterstone’s, said: “The fans are growing up. They’re not comfortable with a cover for people years younger than them.”

The adult cover is the best one; the children's one looks cool it's just a bit...overwhelming with all that it has on the cover.

Interesting... It's great the kids are growing up! But I would have thought that they would be old enough to keep their collection consistent. Maybe that's just me....

| No surprise there
I always like the Adult covers best but I seem to never get them...
The UK Adult is WAY better! Especially comparing it to the Children's one. That one creeps me out... 0.o
I like the American Adult ones the most... my collection is out of shape in that sense because my brother owned the first three (I think it was the American children's cover), the 4th is the UK children's cover, and my books 5 and 6 are the American adult cause I like those covers better... and it's easier to fit in my bag cause they're not as small and thick.
EDIT: the difference is the cover and the size. The cover is different, but for the children's one it's usually smaller, but thicker, and the adult one (American) is longer in length but not as thick.
I think there're other factors too (my cousins compared the HBP, children's copy, to my adult copy and they were like 'they didn't say that in my copy' or something)

Yeah, the adult one looks better. And they are right, the kids that read the books when they first came out (I think 1998...) are all teens now. And so they don't want the kid cover. I don't. I'm getting the adult one.

The copy of Deathly Hallows that I pre ordered is the adult cover. I think they look really kool, not that the cover makes a huge difference it's what's between the cover that counts right?
