A dozen white feathered Pekin ducks could be found gracefully swimming or sunning themselves in this pond in this pond. With their orangish-yellow legs and feet and short yellow beak, this particular variety of feathered creatures is among the friendliest of its species you will ever come across.
The rocky ledge surrounding the pond allows you to take a seat. You may even dip your feet into the pristine water if you like, just beware of the ducks wanting to take a nip at your feet for the fun of it. Or maybe they’ve mistaken your toes for a tasty treat? Speaking of treats… have you brought along a snack for these magnificent creatures? While bread is not high in nutritional value for them, they will accept fresh and small pieces of it. Lettuce, oats, seeds and cooked rice will also suffice.
Play nicely with the ducks! While they are social, they will not take kindly to anyone being cheeky with them!
OOC: You are free to RP for the ducks though there should be no serious injuries!

The weather was still rather nice outside, and Tea was planning on taking advantage of it. Well, she had been taking advantage of it, getting in some skateboarding time out in the pathways and such, practicing with obstacles that were different to what was available inside the castle during inclement weather. The RoR was nice, but it didn’t always provide every little detail of what she needed. Given it wasn’t traditionally magical even if she wanted it to become so.
But breaks were always nice, and she’d chosen to take one at the duck pond, slipping her shoes off and trailing them at the edge of the water before laughing at one of the ducks coming to nibble at her toes. “Hang on, little one,” she replied, feeling not the least bit awkward at talking to a duck while she rummaged through her pockets for and treats she might have hidden inside.
“Here you go,” she added, tossing a few sunflower seeds that, honestly had probably been in her pocket since summer. But at least it was something.

Jae had been told, repeatedly, that if he wanted to keep dancing at the level he intended to, he needed to take his cardio seriously. He already did, but it did explain why he'd been halfway through another brutal circuit around the grounds, lungs burning and shirt clinging damply to his back, when he'd decided that a brief getaway to the duck pond sounded considerably more appealing than another round of sprints.
He slowed to a jog as he approached, pushing a hand through his still bubblegum pink hair and leaving it somehow even messier ― but in that effortless 'this could have taken hours to style' kind of way. His gaze flicked from the ducks, to his housemate sitting at the edge of the pond, and then down to her bare feet being investigated by a particularly bold Pekin duck.
A grin immediately tugged at his mouth.
"Well, well," Jae drawled, coming to a stop nearby. "Didn't know ducks were into that sort of thing."
He bent forward for a moment, hands braced on his thighs as he caught his breath, before straightening again. The movement did absolutely nothing to make him look less sweaty. If anything, the damp fabric stretched rather unhelpfully across his shoulders and chest.
Not that he seemed particularly bothered by it.
"Bit forward, aren't they?" he said, nodding toward the birds. "Can't say I blame them, though."
A wink followed, shamelessly obvious.
