The other day I bought a Christmas stocking kit off of Amazon that I plan to make for my youngest niece, Claire. She saw the one that I had made for her older sister a few years ago and I asked her if she wanted one of her own for next year - I was planning to make her one anyway, but still wanted to know. She definitely wanted one! So that’s one of the projects I’ll be working on this upcoming year.

And I thought I would start off by showing off the stocking that I made for her sister a few years ago:

This was another kit that I bought off of Amazon. I made this stocking for when Emma was around two, which is Claire’s current age. Emma is definitely a fan of her stocking! She enjoys seeing it every year. And she turned out to be a fan of birds and she loves cardinals.

Took me quite a few months to do the sewing for this. And I did have help with constructing it. I’m… not the best with a sewing machine. Even when I wasn’t very out of practice I wasn’t amazing at it. And this is with me taking a class in high school where I was required to use a sewing machine on a regular basis.

When she’s older I’m more than happy to make her another one that’s more adult. But for now she’s still happy with it. She’s going to be six in February, though. She’s growing up so fast!
