I think that JKR has a lot of humor in her books, but some books more than others. Which one do you think was the funniest? I personally thought the Order of the Phoenix. |

| I'm going to have to go with OoTP as a whole. The twins, R/H/Hr., and McGonagall! I loved the McGonagall vs. Umbrige parts! I also liked the part at the very beginning where Harry gets smart with the Dursleys about the news. There are too many funny quotes to list.
SS also had a few good quotes. I love the one by Vernon when Hagrid is talking about Hogwarts. It was the first time I ever really laughed reading HP.(pg. 58-59)
Hagrid: "......an' he'll be under the greatest headmaster Hogwarts ever had, Albus Dumbled--"
"I AM NOT PAYING FOR SOME CRACKPOT OLD FOOL TO TEACH HIM MAGIC TRICKS!" yelled Uncle Vernon.
Also when Hermione said, "I hope you're pleased with yourselves. We could all have been killed -- or worse, expelled. Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to bed." after the Midnight Duel and meeting Fluffy incident. That's a classic Hermione.(pg. 162)
On page 278 there's a funny Ron/Harry/Hermione scene when they're down in the chamber with the Devil's Snare.
CoS also had some great Lockhart quotes, particularly the big paragraph of his in the middle of pg. 91.
PoA...I'm having trouble thinking of any funny hilights in it...
In GoF I liked the whole first part with Ron's letter to Harry about the big Quiddich game and when the Weasleys come to get him. And who doesn't like seeing Malfoy being turned into a ferret!?
HBP was also really funny. There was some awesome, hilarious conversations.
I haven't really thought about the humor in DH yet, though.

OotP for me. Fred and George were just too funny in that one.

I wasn't too sure at first, but now I think about it. OOTP had the pure hilarity of the Weasley Twins Vs. Umbridge, which kinda tipped it to OOTP rather than HBP, there's some humor in them all though, even DH!

I liked OoTP because the characters just seem to get funnier as they mature. Maybe its just Jo was getting funnier, Idk. But I certainly laughed my way through all of the Fred and George scenes.

Well I was going to choose The deathly Hallows but its not there.... I think the deathly Hallows is funny purely because Hermione takes a ragi <--(gos crazy)
when Ron comes back and the part when it says her limbs are unlikely to unravle for several years...I just think its funny because you dont see her do that often. Quote:

out of those six its hard to tell , some of them had more of a morbid sort of humor in them, but if i had to say a book that had a bit of humor that actually made me laugh then it would probably be the order of the pheonix, with all the tatoo talk about harrys hippogriff and rons pigmy puff.

I thought there was some humor in Half-Blood Prince. Particularly with Hermione and Ron.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Kaylee Darkwater First Year | I agree, Fred and George's exit in OotP is uncontested. But I also like particular passages in other HP books: Philosopher's Stone Everybody finished the song at different times. At last, only the Weasley twins were left singing along to a very slow funeral march. Chamber of Secrets "A Study of Hogwarts' Prefects and Their Later Careers," Ron read aloud off the back cover. "That sounds fascinating." Prisoner of Azkaban "Would anyone like me to help interpret the shadowy realms within their orb?"
"I don't need help, it's obvious what this means: there's going to be loads of fog tonight." Goblet of Fire Dudley had done the thing he was threatening to do since age three: He had become wider than he was tall. Half-Blood Prince "Do you remember me telling you we are practicing nonverbal spells, Potter?"
"Yes," said Harry stiffly.
"Yes, sir."
"There's no need to call me 'sir,' Professor." Deathly Hallows “And as for this book,” said Hermione, “The Tales of Beedle the Bard … I’ve never even heard of them!”
“You’ve never heard of The Tales of Beetle the Bard?” said Ron incredulously. “You’re kidding, right?
“No, I’m not!” said Hermione in surprise. “Do you know them, then?”
“Well, of course I do!”
Harry looked up, diverted. The circumstance of Ron having read a book that Hermione had not was unprecedented.

Hard one.
I gotta say Order of the Phoenix.. Or the Halfblood prince.. But Gobleto of fire was pretty fun, too. Can't decide. All of them are fun! (:

OOTP! Fave quote from that book:
"Ron, we're supposed to show the first years where to go!"-Hermione
"Oh yeah. Hey--Hey you lot! Midgets!"-Ron
"Ron!"-Hermione
"Well, they are, they're titchy...."-Ron
"I know, but you can't call them midgets. . . ."-Hermione
So funny! I love those two!
