End-of-Term FeastThe time has come to say GOODBYE to another year at Hogwarts! Enjoy a great meal and good conversation with friends before the Hogwarts Express in the morning!
If you are a graduating student, the time has finally come for you to approach the pedestal against the far wall and sign off like all those before you. The Memory Book is where you can leave behind an account of your favourite memories of Hogwarts and advice for future students to read. Should there be any lingering thoughts about the school, now would be time to let them go before you join the adult world beyond.
This is likely the first time you have ever gotten this close to the pedestal. You notice that the book those you saw writing in it all these years has been bound in brass and brown leather. Although the book is old, it surprisingly has been kept under great care as only the beginning pages are starting to turn yellow. Feel free to flip through the pages, read up on what your already-graduated friends and even your parents had to say. Whenever you are ready, simply pick up the self-inking quill set beside the book and pour your heart and soul onto the first crisp blank page you see.

Antony had nearly decided against writing in the memory book.
He had only been at Hogwarts since his fifth year - and even if he had been attending since he was eleven, there remained the fact that he wasn't sure what to write. He had no advice he desired to give, nor did he intend to write heartfelt messages to his friends. They had been the best part of his school experience, but those thoughts were the business of no one but him and each individual friend. Such vulnerability was already difficult for him even when kept private; he therefore had no desire to parade it before any random future student to read.
With a brief perusal of previous entries, he bought himself some extra time to think. There was always the fallback idea of simply writing his name, he supposed.
But after a bit more thought, he finally decided on something, and he picked up the quill.

Good times were had. Good times are ahead.
Goodbye, Hogwarts.
Antony Vexmoor
Ravenclaw, Class of 2117
Simple enough.
Antony set the quill down and then headed down to take his place at the Ravenclaw table.

It took Kartik a minute to find his bearings for what he wanted to write in this memory book. He wasn't even sure he wanted to, but Krittika had and there was no way he would leave Hogwarts without one last competition. Scanning through the book, he read a few of the familiar entries including that of his dormmate from the last three years. Some long-winded, others concise. Finally flipping to the next empty spot, he picked up the quill to write.
SPOILER!!: Kartik's Entry
I once read an inspirational quote from the late Mark Twain. "To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence". If there could be a more accurate quote as I embark on this next chapter of my life. I might be ignorant about my future endeavors and career options but I can tell you this - I will do so with the confidence of knowing that Hogwarts has provided an excellent baseline of education.
This is only the beginning.

And back to the Ravenclaw table for the remainder of his last Hogwarts feast as a student. Perhaps he'd stop by for another farewell to Rose to wish her luck next year for her seventh year.

Ary was still marvelling that his seven years at Hogwarts had come to an end so drastically quickly. He had made so many memories here, the majority of the good kind. And more importantly, he had made more friends than he had ever expected, when he thought he would have made none.
Now that Aryan was standing before the ancient book, he turned the pages. Many familiar names jumped out at him. Aside from those of his dads and three siblings, of course. There were entries from his aunts: Hady, Lux, Janelle, Ilia, Margo, Marsha, Ava and Olathe; his uncles Henric and Franklin. Of course there were also from Nova, Melody and Logan. None of them were related to him by blood but they were family, nevertheless.
Then came his turn to write his entry. Ary already knew what he wanted to say so it didn’t take him long to neatly write his words before stepping aside so that Jan could leave his.
SPOILER!!: Ary’s entry!
Looking back on my years at Hogwarts, I can’t help but feel deeply grateful. This Castle gave me more than an education: it gave me experiences that shaped me, adventures that came out of nowhere, and - most important of all - friendships which I hadn't expected and that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. From late-night hang outs in the common room to the quiet magic of the library, every lesson, challenge, and triumph in between, Hogwarts became a home in the truest sense.
I leave its halls with a heart full of gratitude, knowing that wherever life takes me next, I’ll always have the memories and the people who made this place extraordinary.

Jan approached the podium when it was his turn with the Memory book. His hand rested on the book for a moment to feel its texture. It was bound in leather and had a feeling of warmth...a light pulse, even.
Flipping it, Jan considered reading some of his parents' past entries... but he didn't want a bias inflicted before writing what he wanted to write. So with that, he turned to the first empty page and dipped his quill in...
SPOILER!!:
Hogwarts,
You taught me a lot. Not just in the lessons I attended and the friends I made along the way, but also dealing with adversity and challenges. Between the occasional chaos at Hogwarts, there were many great memories made that overshadowed them. Finding the light within the dark is something worth grasping and taking into the real world. To my little brothers and sister, I hope you had as thrilling of an adventure at Hogwarts as I did. Keep being yourself as much as possible within the school rules. To my friends, girlfriend, and mentors, I'll tell you in person.
Thank you

Now that he had finished his entry, Jan closed the book and turned to enjoy the rest of the ending feast. Where he could make the most of his remaining time at Hogwarts before they all head home.

Thena… wasn’t sure what she wanted to write in this ancient book. That was the reason she deliberately waited until most of her fellow seventh years had finished with their own entries before she somewhat reluctantly approached it. During that time, she reflected on what could be the possible cause{s} of this reluctance. It was concluded that the future Astronomer was simply going to miss the Castle. Don’t get her wrong, the young woman was quite looking forward to attending University, seeing more of her girlfriend, having lots of time with her dads and siblings… just… this place had been her home for seven years. One did not attend Hogwarts for that long and not get a little attached, even with some wild situations that occurred here once in a while.
With a soft nostalgic sigh, Athena, with great care, flipped through the pages of the Memory Book. Naturally, familiar names were found and she quickly scanned the entries that corresponded. They made her smile and did sort of inspire her to put her own thoughts into words:
SPOILER!!: Thena's entry!
If there’s one thing Hogwarts has taught me, it’s that the world is as vast and full of mystery as the night sky I’ve spent so many hours studying. I came here with a telescope and a head full of questions. Now I leave with so much more. I’ll always remember the quiet walks back from Astronomy Tower, the friends who stayed up late charting stars with me. And, of course, the professors who encouraged me to keep reaching higher, farther, braver.
In short, thank you for everything, Hogwarts.

How had her seventh year simply flown by so quickly?? Emma was simply flabbergasted because it just seemed a whirlwind between quidditch and lessons and scouts at her matches. While Hufflepuff hadn't taken the Quidditch Cup nor the House Cup, she was thrilled for the Hufflepuff Gobstones team. She was also thrilled of her own performance as seeker, having caught the most snitches compared to fellow seekers this term. Deciding to just get it over with, Emma approached the podium, reading at Jansher and Aryan and Athena's entries. It seemed silly this book, didn't it? Like who did they leave these entries for? This was her first time skimming through it, so was it meant to be for the younger students? Just a way to say you were present? As she flipped back a whole lot of pages, she finally stopped when she came across it. Her father's. Tears welled up as she read the long-winded entry, particularly as he talked about one of his Hufflepuff friends. For all the dung he gave about hating Hufflepuffs, the way he talked about Oakey Gunter was just ... touching. She touched her fingers to his signature. Appleby Arrows. Military Pilot. He hadn't achieved that dream of being a military pilot and Emma had to wonder why?
Wiping the tears from her eyes, she flipped back to the present-day entries and the first blank spot.
SPOILER!!: Emma's Entry

And it was time to go enjoy her last Hogwarts feast. Setting the quill down, she headed off to the Hufflepuff table, stealing a gaze over a certain wizard at the Ravenclaw table first.

Upon entering the Great Hall, Florence had walked purposefully toward the memory book. This was her first stop before sitting at the Slytherin table for the final time.
While she enjoyed her time at Hogwarts, she was more than ready to move on. Those she cared about, she would ensure that she remained in contact with them. There was little need to write about it here. She was not one for sappy, tearful goodbyes anyway, and even less someone who would write her heart upon the page for the world to see.
It would not take long to write her entry into the book.

Signing her name with a flourish, it was done. One step closer.
Florence set the quill down, then walked down to the Slytherin table once more.

Rose dragged her feet as she slowly and reluctantly made her way up to the memory book to write her entry in the ancient book after her peers. She didn't want to leave the safe familiarity of the castle walls and writing in this book made it final. There was no going back. This was also her last feast to sit which caused a tear or two to fall down Roses cheeks as she finally stepped and gripped the quill. Rose didn't know what she wanted to write, but eventually wrote down a few lines of gathered knuts of knowledge.
SPOILER!!: Rose's entry!
A few knuts of knowledge that Hogwarts has taught me is to not pretend to be someone you're not. It's always better to be true to yourself, and follow your dreams. Knowledge is vast so keep learning! I've learned new things everyday in these halls and so could you if you're just open to it. I will always remember my housemates who I've shared house cup wins and lions den shenanigans with. A special thanks goes to my professors who encouraged me both in though times and in successes. Be brave, have fun and mostly I'm going to miss you Hogwarts!

The rush of seventh year and NEWTs left Ascella Paige Archer with little time to deal with most other things. Her parents had written to her often, mostly to remind her to eat and to be kind to herself during such a stressful phase. Which she did follow, mind you! But Cella didn't realise just how tense she was until she finished her last practical, and until she finally had a moment to take it all in. Her very last exam. Her last year. Her last anything at Hogwarts. She wasn't the most sentimental member in her family, but Merlin did that hit her hard.
Amid celebrating the end of seven years in Hogwarts with her classmates, Cella had also finally allowed herself a second to breathe and ground herself to the present. She wrote back to her parents and Aquilla, and then to Maggie and Aunt Maebh and Uncle Reuben. She even ripped open all of her uni letters, too! Every acceptance and scholarship offer left her more grateful than ever. She also went and wrapped her siblings and Rosie up in a big hug for each of them... for no apparent reason other than it felt good.
Then, the End-of-Term Feast came. Cella was ready to get going and leave Hogwarts behind, but she wasn't about to discredit how big of an impact her time here had been - and that is what motivated her to stand before the memory book. It had been a good decision, too, because she couldn't help the affectionate eyeroll and the chuckle that bubbled out of her after reading another one of her dad's infamous plant puns. In his own memory book entry at that! Always had dad humour, that Brian Archer (né Woods), even as a teenager.
Flipping to the next fresh page, Cella wiggled the quill between her fingers as she thought about what kind of mark she wanted to leave. And as quickly as she worried about what constituted a good mark, she too wiped that idea from her conscience. Because it shouldn't matter what everyone else thought of. This was her entry. It will always be a good mark in and of itself.
And so it goes.

Turtles, my favourite of animals, have exceptional navigation skills and are able to return to their respective nesting beaches even after crossing every ocean on earth (well, except the polar regions). Like turtles, people will sometimes find their way home, back to where they belong – drawn by every memorable ebb and flow that defines them.
Maybe one day I'll find my way back here, Hogwarts. Maybe. I'm not quite sure I want to experience the growing pains all over again, though.
But perhaps I would if it meant a repeat of all the ups and downs that I shared with my friends and my family. I only know True North because of how brightly they shine for me, guiding me, helping me, being with me through every step of the way.
For the meantime, I'll continue riding the rising tides and cruising for a bruising. Kidding with that last one!
Onto the next great adventure called university.

Surely someone was going to skim through her entry and think of how much of a gigantic nerd she was. But did Cella care? No. Not one bit. In fact, she was proud to be one. Her mum and dad didn't raise her and her siblings to be ashamed of being themselves, and her dad's own punny memory book entry was evidence of it.
Cella lightly blew over her words so the ink could dry faster, before setting the quill down and walking back to the Hufflepuff table to join her friends. One last time? Don't mind if I do, especially if it meant feast food in the next minutes.
