He sat back in his seat relaxed, no concern showing on his face. He had been working quite a bit with level 7's department head Lourdes lately and was really excited about the plans they were making for combining a new division between their departments. But that could wait at least for now. "I heard you were there for the trial down in level 10." he began his hands coming together in front of him meeting at the tips. "I was a bit worried about one of the divisions you're a part of and am considering changing your position. I know it'd be the second time in a year, but I fear with having you in that trial, being an undercover buyer might potentially put you in danger."

An eagle circled around the room and landed on the desk and unfolded itself.

Harland's breath caught a bitas Gidyun brought up the trial. Oh... he hadn't realized that was what this was about. Maybe that was a bit naive of him looking back on it. He sighed ever-so-slightly and gave him a small nod. "I suppose that does make sense," he said with a slight frown. He was just getting used to his new position too.

Gid noticed the change in his manner, and wondered if he'd made mistake in thinking that, maybe it didn't bother him none in regards to the possibility. Was he, Gid being too overly cautious? As an auror he tended to be a bit overly cautious but maybe it wasn't that big of a deal. "I'm not going to force you to change positions, Harland. Honestly if you'd rather stay in the position as Undercover Buyer and Trade Personnel, I have no problem with that." To be honest it would save him the need for an extra person in the inter-department division that they were starting. Hmmm, "I guess I'm leaving this up to you. You can either take it or leave it, if I was to change your position from that area, I'd put you as Magical Product Tester and Excise Service Personnel. But I can see how it'd start getting frustrating after having changed already just recently."

Looking up as an eagle appeared, surprise etched on his face watched as it fell and unfolded itself. Picking it up he started reading it and nodded. Hmmm he wondered what that was about but glanced at his calendar, that shouldn't be an issue at all. Quickly writing a note himself he sent a response and sent it off.

Zach let Gidyun lead the way towards the office. Its his first time in, so he doesn't know what to expect. As he was let in by the Department Head he can't help but look around. This reminds him of the Study in their ancestral house in Australia. It looks very fancy and all. He likes it.

"How are you, Mr. Yenorin, er, Gidyun?" he said breaking the silence and to hide his amazement. After the first meeting he had with Gidyun, he felt relaxed than before. But not too relaxed that he will be tactless, this is after all official matters.

Entering the office behind the man he shut the door behind them so they wouldn't be disturbed. "I'm good thank you." he said with a small smile. Gesturing towards a chair, he let the man decide if he wanted to sit by the desk or if in the small seating area that was a little more comfortable.

"How about yourself?" he asked conversationally. He was curious as to what changes were about to happen, honestly.

Zach smiled as a response. "I am very well thanks." he said and added, "How was the holidays?" as he move towards the comfortable looking seating area. Even though this is an official trip, Zach couldn't resist the urge to try those seats. Hope the Department Head wouldn't mind him bouncing a few times. His inner kid is trying to show up, given the fact that this reminds him of their, well his place now.

Zach's expression went from playful to a little bit serious as he started with, "The Minister of Magic wanted to impose a new rule upon the employees of the Ministry, and I would like your opinion on the matter." well it will be imposed even if Gidyun disagrees but he wanted an input from those who will be affected.

"It was fantastic, fun with the kids and all." he said with a nod and smile. "Your own?" Taking a seat himself in one of the chairs, he sat back with a notepad and quill so as not to miss anything. A bit of a smile playing at his lips when the guy looked around at the different chairs.

Nodding when Zach started in on what he was there for. "Okay fair enough. Anything that's going to cause quite a stir?" he asked curiously, his face turning thoughtful. How much was it going to affect his employees, he wondered.

Zach smiled and played his hands feeling the material of the chair he is sitting in. Lovely. The question about the holiday was thrown back and he replied saying, "It was amazing. I went back to South Africa for a few days to visit a friend and had the rest of my time in Australia with the folks." he said leaving the long list of things he did while he was there unspoken.

A stir. Zach thinks the new scheme will cause more than a stir. "Well, we are going to impose a uniform system for the Ministry, I am here to finalise the research on the requirements per department as to what suit their needs in terms of dress code." he said trying to clarify the subject.

"What I, we, wanted to know is that, does your department need something in particular in terms of how to dress? Does your employees run around outside the Ministry?" he said posing some questions. He knows exactly what will be done, but these research will pave way to a more tolerable change and possibly a helping hand for implementation.

Tilting his head slightly "Quite a bit of travelling. Pleasant to see friends and family though I'm sure." He missed the travelling he used to do, though it was nice still getting to do a bit of it through his job, he still missed it. But he wouldn't change anything for the world now. He loved having the time with his family! They had done some travelling, but didn't want to do much with Emma being so little, though they had gone to Russia...

Listening as Zach explained why he was there, he nodded. "I don't think that will be too much of a problem here. Many of my employees already consent to a dress code with their position, especially the Immigration officers, Foreign Relations and Ambassadors." Not to mention those on the councils. "The only problems I could foresee is when they're out on the field and wanting to work undercover, but they'd be in Muggle attire then, so it wouldn't matter much."

Thinking a bit, he sat forward in his chair a little. "I don't believe so, as I said if they do, it's either undercover work in Muggle attire, or needing dress robes for council meetings and such. I really don't think there will be a problem with the dress code for our level."

"I was a well travelled person even when I was doing my Researches." he said adding to the travel comment but not mentioning anything about his family. He love his parents but he feels indifferent to them. Maybe because of the fights they had when he changed his course of study from medicine, to research and then law.

Well, as expected, the International cooperation and he hoped, the Mysteries department wouldn't be any trouble. And International Cooperation is great for this. But the thing is, it will be a Ministry-wide dress code.

"I applaud you for that. I was wondering, because it will be a Ministry-wide change. Do you have anything that your employees might require?" he asked, thinking of the needs of the employees. And also to make the transition easier.

Ugh. This was exactly the part of work that Harland didn't like - having differences of opinion with his boss. It wasn't that he was completely careless and didn't bother trying to stay safe, it was just... well, in this case he didn't see the issue. "Well, I was just thinking that, as press coverage was minimal - especially after the portkey fiasco - and the fact that I don't see said criminal returning to the public eye very soon just to be caught again, I just don't see the danger." He shrugged.

Adjusting his seat a little bit, Harland tried to see it from his boss's perspective, but that was a challenge for him. And Magical Product Tester? Sounded more like a job for an intern than a veteran. At least if it was permanent. That wasn't at all what he signed up for.

Nodding, "I'm fairly well travelled myself, spent about 10 years travelling before settling down in Atlantis for 2 years and then Italy before this." A little more than he normally would have said, but he did enjoy travel! "Kind of miss it a little, but it's nice to finally be settled down finally. Not as young as I used to be, ready to jump up and just travel whenever I please."

Chewing on his lip he sat back again, and shook his head "I don't believe so. There isn't anything we especially need uniformwise. Anything that has to do with important meetings, don't typically happen right here in the ministry. So I don't see any reason for specific requirements for our department."

"That's just fine then." he said with a shrug. He wouldn't make the man switch areas, if he felt he was safe enough in that position! Wait a second, sitting forward, he caught that little bit. Had he missed something? Was Harland obliviated after the trial? "Harland....Talone escaped. Midtrial, she just vanished from her spot on the stand." Merlin, had he just undid something he shouldn't have?

Harland's eyebrows rose slightly as Gidyun continued worriedly about the trial. Huh? "Yes... I was there. I just don't think anyone who would take that much trouble to escape would come back anytime soon and jeopardize her freedom. Do you?" This was the first time Harland had been uncomfortable with talking about the trial. Something was just nagging at him now. Ummm... he was more than ready to go back to work now.

After .... whatever that had been in Harmony's office - and he hadn't even bothered with the lifts this time - he arrived on Level 5 and flashed his A&C badge to anyone who questioned him being on the level. Time sensitive information over here, excuse us.

Approaching the Department Head's door, Aron knocked on it twice with his knuckles before pushing it open. Time to play owl. Meh. "Pardon the intrusion," he said in attempt to lay on some humility for the moment. He had never spoken with the bloke before, so there was a need to be polite he supposed. "I have a memo I need to pass along to you from Creatures."

Shrugging, he wasn't going to argue with Harland. If he thought he was safe in his position, then Gidyun was fine with it. He was only looking out for the guy's best interests. "If you wish to remain as an undercover buyer, I won't force you to switch positions, I just wanted to make sure that you feel safe in the position and if you didn't we'd put you in another one." It was funny, he never thought Harland particularly had enjoyed getting that position...hmm.

Looking up as a knock sounded on the door he was about to say 'come in' when Aron opened the door and stepped in. Getting to his feet, he gave the man a slight smile and nod, "Anything serious?" he asked wondering if he knew what Harmony had put in the memo, or if Aron had just happened to be heading his way. It had been frustrating with the memos not working any longer!

Glancing towards Harland, he wasn't sure now if he wanted it said aloud if it were serious. Didn't exactly want to make people concerned! Or have rumours to start flying around his level!

"I'm going to be posting a notice on my level once I finish here. The more people in the know the better." He would have made a pass at some dry humor about asking if there was anyone one Level 5 that could read auras, but Gidyun didn't seem the sort to appreciate the gesture.

"There have been more mutant spottings and Creatures needs everyone's cooperation in capturing them. Skylark asks that everyone be aware of any peculiar activity or damaged office items along with knowing that these mutants seem to dislike bright light, so act accordingly if and when you spot one." And then he passed a memo to him that pretty much repeated what he had just said.

And now he was done playing owl.

Nodding he looked towards Harland again, he listened as he explained the situation with the mutants. He'd heard about the ones in Muggle London in Diagon Alley and even the ones in the ministry, so it wasn't new for him. But he could certainly help where needed! "I'll put the notice out, as well as encourage level 5 to help out and help out in any way I can as well." Taking the memo from him, he read it through, "I've noticed some damage, but so far it's been missing items."

Looking back towards Aron, he nodded "But if more appear or a mutant appears here we'll take action and let Harmony know, we got one here as well. So far none have been seen on our level."

Aron nodded and nodded a little more. Good. Messaged delivered and accepted. Now could he have a treat?

He was being sarcastic, for any parties that may be wondering.

"Great," he said, pausing for a moment before adding one last little detail to the story. "Some of my employees will be stopping by to inspect things, perhaps take some samples as well. They shouldn't interrupt the work flow here on your level, but I just wanted you to be aware that they would be here." Perhaps even with some cages that Harmony had supplied.

Okay. Now he was done. Really.

"Sorry for the interruption, again," he said with one last bow of the head. "I'll be heading back to my level now."

Nodding he smiled but then listened as he mentioned inspection, "Good, I'll make sure everyone's aware and cooperate if there's anything needing help with or being done around the level." He wondered if maybe they'd find and collect whatever was making marks on his wand, though he wasn't sure, that was anything on his level though either. Hmm.. "I'm not worried about the work flow, if we can get the issues contained and stopped that's what's most important at this point."

Giving him another smile, "Don't worry about it, thank you for the heads up."

Is that rain? Snow? Something must be very wrong with the climate controls, because it seems to be precipitating indoors!

Aron had left, and he was going back to his desk when suddenly it started raining inside the office and he stared around him before looking towards Harland. What the heck??? Taking his wand out quickly he put charms on everything before anything got damaged, and suddenly it seemed as if half the office was snowing and the other half raining. What in merlin's name was going on??

"Uhhh, I guess, just go ahead and head back to the work areas. I need to go and talk with maintenance I think." Shivering as some snow landed on his neck and ran down his back under his shirt as it melted he let out a breath trying not to yelp. Yeah....he hadn't made someone mad down there, that he knew of. He hadn't even talked to anyone from maintenance yet!

Waiting til Harland left, Gid headed out the door after him towards level 8.

With Branxton in pursuit, Simon made his way down to Level 5 from the holding rooms, stopping only once to write down the names and locations of the schools for future reference so the lab team had the pamplets themselves to take care of. With that done, it had been less than rocky trek between floors, before finally being deposited on the correct level by the lift. With no awaiting persons such as receptionists in the lobby they had been greeted with upon their arrival, he proceeded to lead his young collegue into the actual work area. He would get his barrings later when he was looking at the department more in depth.

At the door designated the office of one Gidyun Yenorin, he lifted up his arm and gave a simply bunch of knocks upon the wood to alert the man of the presence of visitors should he be in. Simon's other hand slipping absently into his robe pocket where the list resided. Hopefully they would be making some headway, he mused, exchanging glances with Genevieve.

Genevieve shadowed Simon all the way from Level 2, content to let him take the lead on this sort of... unimportant mission. It was nice that he'd claimed her for this task, and it was nice to get away from the group and do something different for a while, but she wasn't sure what exactly hinged on these pamphlets. In her opinion, de Talone couldn't be so dense as to think no one would search her cell.

Unless she just didn't care.

"This place is pretty quiet today. D'you suppose Yenorin isn't in the office today?" Like maybe they could slide a note under his door and go get a coffee.

The YATI's words resounded in the auror's head. "Yeah, there is always that chance," Simon agreed, wondering their options should that be the case. They could always leave a note but given the sensativity of the information to be past on, regardless of anything panning out, needed to be dealt with sooner rather than later. Emily had made sure they were aware of that even if it hadn't come naturally in one's mind. So they couldn't just leave.

And he had his own task on the level. Perhaps he could give the young woman a taste of security proceedings in the meantime while allowing the department head to make an appearance. Or gain a response from another enployee within the department instead to better make a decision on what to do next.
