Entering the shop, you'll notice a cozy little area to the left, filled with a couple of sturdy and actually pleasant looking chairs in front of the rather large window. Underneath sits a rustic rug, comfortable enough to put shoe-less feet upon, though would be ill advised to do in a shop like this. Wand boxes filled every nook and cranny in the shelves surrounding the area, and as far as the eye could see down the back. Stacked neatly near the window is a nicely organized and clean section that holds the wand holsters, polishes and kits, and their new line of House Wands with prices labeled neatly underneath each item. Need a friend or something extra special for that shiny new wand of yours? You're in the right spot. No doubt find one or the other here.

OOC: You may make your own role plays here. Your characters may chat to one another or wait for a friend to be helped at the counter. Please note that this area is in view of the counter and the wandmakers can see what you are doing, so be sure your character does not cause trouble or they'll kick your character out! This is an unmanned thread and if you require shopkeeper interaction, you'll need to post them at the Counter and Wand Fittings area.

Once he was inside, he stepped aside from the doorway and slid his hands into his pockets casting a look around. Talk about a packed place. To the side he noticed what seemed to be some sort of station probably to do with wands. Duh.
There were other people sitting here, probably waiting for someone. Squinting ahead he could see a counter and a separate area. He wasn't sure what to quite do now. But he was in no hurry now that they'd made it here. "What do you think? Cool, huh?" He elbowed Jamie a bit hard which indicated excitement on his part.
When this day was over and done with and he was back home in his bed instead of the floor to the greatest shop in the entire world, he was going to remind himself that he did a really good thing and would make his grandparents happy. If you asked him, they should be happier with one less mouth to feed--two because Dante was leaving but then he could understand how terribly he would be missed and it kinda wouldn't be fair to deprive them of their only remaining grandchild.
Entering this new shop, the first thing he realized was how crowded it was. It was....wow. A lot of people wanted their wands....kinda made him feel worse he wouldn't be getting one and all these people and chairs...he wasn't gonna get to watch his brother get his wand either?
"Owwwww." He whined, completely deflated by the thought--and the elbow to his rib HURT. Jamie sunk into one of the seats looking more miserable than when he'd had to leave the joke shop. He was meant to be happy for his brother, just...not right this second, Okay? "It's crowded and loud and someone just misfired and you shouldn't get hit because I don't even think they know what their wands are doing yet." Expert opinion. He gave those.

This wasn't labor, though. Wandlore was NEVER labor. In fact, all the books on the subject sprawled all over his room back home said otherwise. It was Gansey Baltazar's passion. His ambition.
Hoisting the strap of the satchel that ran diagonally across his torso, Gansey glanced around once he entered the wand shop. You could bet a furry ogre's butt he brought his notes along with him. Just in case. One couldn't ever be too prepared.
"Hello," he called. "I'm Gansey Baltazar and I'm one of the interns." THE Intern, mind you. He was going to rock this. Just watch him.
One of the interns? Right on time!
Peaking up over the counter, just enough for his forehead and eyes to show plus his awesome hair that he so wasn't loosing what, he squinted at the young man for a moment before springing up into view. "Hello there! Gansey Baltazar." Yea, he had a fun time trying to figure out how to pronounce that name from the application.
"You haven't seen the other intern around by any chance, have you?" Did he even know that there was another?

His eyes were fixed on nowhere as they darted from corner to another, so many things to notice in here and he was not sure where to start. He was really eager to go and get that wand of his. He obviously was intrigued by the process, too. But his brother's tone distracted him.
He turned to his brother who now was in one of the seats. Dante thought Jamie was excited, too, about coming here?! He even promised ice-cream on their way out from the joke shop, was that not enough? Apparently. "I won't get hit," he said confidently although he did not see how he could stop it. He surely wouldn't be able to keep an eye on everyone with their wands.
Of course he knew his brother didn't really mind the place being crowded nor loud. The older brother casually slipped into a seat next to his brother, "You better keep your eyes peeled because this is gonna be our wand we're going to get," He didn't even care if it wasn't the way things worked neither that it technically couldn't be theirs both because it wasn't fair that he was getting one and his brother wasn't. It also wan't fair that he was getting help to get into school while his brother didn't. It frustrated Dante a lot especially that there was nothing he could do with it.

Jamie was bored of this shop. Okay no he wasn't because it was cool too but he didn't want to be here anymore. Just look at all the happy kids leaving with wands. His brother would be one of them soon but not him. They should just get ice-cream now, maybe he'd feel better after.
"How do you know?" He challenged at his brothers obviously too confident declaration. Didn't even seem like the wand makers themselves were safe behind those counters of theirs. "What if the magic does some kind ot ricochet thing right off a wall or someone else's magic then you get forzen or turned into a statue and I can't take you home on account of how heavy you are but I can't leave either because I don't know the way home from here so we get stuck in THIS shop. I don't want to be stuck in this one! Freeze at the joke shop!" Jamie might or might not have gotten himself carried away. His brother, afterall, was not frozen and the likelihood of it was rather slim. Still. Don't freeze Dante.
The stubbornly worried look on his face softened at the mention of the wand being theirs. He..he rather liked the sound of that. "Fine." He puffed a cheek, still trying to look as sullen and unreasonably upset as possible but his armour had already cracked. "Fine, I'll look--and I'll make sure you don't get a lame one picking you." He didn't know how he'd do it, but he knew it had to be done.

Claudette knew she was running late but there was no use running like she had a pack of hippogriffs on her tail to get to Ollivanders. Pushing several blond strands of hair behind her ears Claudette opened the doors to the wand shop and headed inside.
Coming up to the counter she saw a good-looking boy about her age (Balthazar) hovering nearby where the shopkeeper stood. Flashing the shopkeeper her sweetest smile which nobody adult could resist she said. "Hello, Claudette Poignont reporting for duty. Sorry i'm late. I had to stop my granny's tortoise from getting out of the yard."

He really wanted and go get that wand of his but he couldn't simply just look so urgent and excited when his brother was like that. It was actually too easy to sense his brother mood. He wasn't babbling and gawking at things when there were things worth gawking at so something was wrong and Dante could't leave it.
"I just know," Worst answer ever and he knew it. "Besides there is a wandmaker here. Do you really think he can't unfreeze me?" And there were other adults who could use their wands so that shouldn't be a problem. And he really doubted he was going to get frozen. It was one of the things his brother liked to make up to argue.
One corner of his mouth lifted and a pleased look crossed over his face at the slight change of Jamie's mood. "You do that," He clapped his hand on his brother's leg not so hard this time. "And if I do, merlin forbid get a lame wand you can have my ice-cream," He hoped that was a bit enough. And now he really was thinking about the possibility of getting a lame wand. Wow, he spends too much time with his brother. He dismissed the thought reminding himself that every person had a wand suited for them.

The dudette was late!
He was being squinted at. Gansey had the urge to squint back and play along, but instead he took a step toward the peeking person before stopping when a man sprung into view. "How do you do, sir Bryce McLaughlin?" That was his name, right? Or was it the other one?
Nah. He looked like a Bryce and a McLaughlin, and if not then...wouldn't this be awkward.
Oh, there was another intern? That meant he couldn't hog up all of the attention to himself? That certainly did suck.
Or...maybe not...

He...never thought of it that way and it made the look on his face even more stubborn. The wand maker COULD unfreeze his brother, with his own cool wand, because he was someone else that would have a wand and Jamie wouldn't. The boy changed his mind. This shop was stupid afterall.
"How do we know the shopkeep's not stupid? What if he's only pretending or if someone polyjuiced themself as the shopkeep because they thought it'd be cool being a wand maker." It was just as unlikely as his brother being frozen but Jamie still felt very strongly about it and didn't think they should have been so willing to take the chance.
Oh but wait. Waaaait. The 12 year old's eyes went wide and for a moment he forgot all his worries. "You mean it? The whole thing? And you won't even ask me for a taste?" The boy wasn't being selfish, he was being hopeful, there was a distinct difference. "I mean, not that I hope you get a lame one or anything..." Nah. Still wanted his bro having a cool wand.

Sir Bryce McLaughlin, that was him!
And he better have been called Sir because he looked like a knight in shining armor and not old. "Good, good." he nodded to the young man. Hand shakes, he could do those. But the other intern just arrived and he got distracted.

Thank gosh for not all boys this summer. Especially since Ruby could show up at any moment apparently, but she was off on that Greek thing for a week wasn't she? Hehehehehehehehe. Hehe. Guaranteed Ruby free week.
Though this girl...he didn't know if that was just an excuse or was a legit reason she was late. Not that he'd actually DO anything because she was late, but curiosity had set in!

Playing with a lock of blond hair she looked from the shopkeeper to her intern buddy as she smiled sweetly "Yes, I managed to stop him just before the fence. Arnold, that's the name of my granny’s tortoise, he is as big as a small tent so I had to tackle him in order to stop him." Not that her clothes showed any grass stains or anything. Claudette knew how to fend well for herself and her clothes. Turning to the good looking boy for a brief moment she regarded him through her blue eyes as she held out a hand for a shake. "I guess were intern buddies this summer. I'm Claudette, and you are?"
Eyes moving back to the shopkeeper she quipped with keen interest. "So Sir Mclaughlin, are we going to get to help with finding wands for students and adults?"

Layla was starting to get into this not waking up for work everyday and staying home with her family, dogs and children included. She wondered how long the feeling would last though, since staying at home had never really been her thing. Today though, the children were needy for their dad and she was happy to oblige them, even though she knew that he would be busy.
Family first. That was their motto, hence her taking an extended leave of absence from her work.
Magnolia led the charge into the wand shop, while her two year old brother tried to keep up. They were followed closely by Layla who was more than happy to let them go in the shop. She looked around for her husband.

Sir McLaughlin seemed to be interested in the tortoise as well. Woah! A tortoise the side of a small tent. That was huge! Gansey's never seen one that large. Merlin's fluffy socks. What a wonder. His lips stretched at the mention of Claudette tackling the tortoise. He'd like to tackle one some day, test his strength and all.

As big as a SMALL TENT?
"Wow." Eyebrows were raaaaaised. Bryce was impressed to say the least. Both about the girl tackling the tortoise, and the fact that her grandmother had one. Maybe Layla would let him get one when he was that old. Didn't take too much to take care of right?
"Alright." he said, clapping his hands together once and rubbing them together. Let's get down to business! "No...unfortunately the task of finding wands for the customers is up to me and Ira. You'll meet him later. Though you may shadow us during the process and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. But yes, you caaaan examine the wands. I trust you two know not to wave them." Having been carefully drawing on his own eyebrows with marker, he looked to see who just entered the shop through the mirror. "LAYLA!" He bounced up, hopping over excitedly to her, but then fidgeting and pointing to his face.

Oooh excited greeting from the hubby. This meant kisses and hugs no?..Nope. It meant that once again Bryce had lost his eyebrows. She shook her head and took his face between her hands so she could have a closer look. Yep...definitely burnt off. Between all the times he had it burnt off, she was somewhat a pro at fixing it.
"Hold still..." She took out her wand and in two taps her had eyebrows...slightly arched..but eyebrows...."There..now my kiss." She smiled and him and waited.
That seemed like fun...Magnolia took out her own wand, a sparkler wand that is and held it up to her brother's face to tap tap like she saw her mother do with her dad.."hol schtill Cowwer!"

Laughing at their surprised expressions Claudette explained. "Arnold is only so big because my granny breeds tortoises." Yes, she was something of an expert breeder. Something Claudette could definitely see herself working as in the future. But with her the job aspirations changed every day. Glancing over at Gansey she said “It’s a pleasure to meet you. Do you go to Hogwarts?” It would pretty cool if he went to Beauxbatons like she did. Claudette doubted it though. If he did go there then why hadn’t she run into him earlier?
As Mr Bryce started to provide them with instructions and rules for what they could and could not do Claudette did her best to hide a huge pout. They could only observe not help with the actual wand picking. Raising a brow at Mr Bryce’s comment about Mr Ira she asked "Mr Banner is a grumpy man? He doesn’t like answering questions?" She’d just have to charm him. No adult could resist her. Claudette just had to smile a lot. That’d make Mr Ira happy right?
Shaking her head she said "I have no other questions." Glancing over at Gansey she wondered if he had any questions.
