Overview
The Thanatos family was always a family of 4 - the patriarch, Renner Thanatos, the twins, Vera and Vasco, and the youngest little cherub, Vesper. But as the kids all began to grow up and leave the nest to go to boarding school to start their magical educations, they also couldn't help but worry about leaving their Papa home all alone by himself.

Which was why in the summer of 2111, the two girls hatched a plan to try to set their Papa up with someone else. They hadn't expected that unsuspecting individual to be Quidditch star, Raju Misra, nor did they expect exactly how well their half thought out plan would truly go.

Now in the summer of 2112, the two men have been together for nearing a year and things have been progressing well. But how well will the kids and Raju mesh together? And will things continue to go well?

There was the possibility that they both were correct in their own thoughts. However it had happened, Ren would never change a thing. It all worked out exactly as it was meant to. The two of them deeply in love and married with one more child added into the mix. Life was crazy at times but it was also pure perfection. As for that, perhaps that were true as well. There was no other career that could ever suit him the way chocolate making did.

"I should like to hope so seeing as to how I don't plan on even letting you out of my sight," the man joked, grinning happily. "Hm, as true as that is I like to think that we cross their minds daily because they miss us and all the fun we have." Their goofy shenanigans was what they children loved best about them, yes? Gasp! "So you think you can eat of this yourself?" Renner didn't think so, which was why the spoon soon made its way back into the deliciously smelling treats and straight to his mouth! "Oh my, now that is delightful!"

Raju too, would never change anything about him and Renner being together. It was true, over the years as a Quidditch player, he had had an extensive dating history. Those relationships had never worked out for him, and after meeting Ren that fateful day in Diagon Alley, he understood why. The two had shared a torrid bond from the moment they laid eyes on each other.

Raju laughed at that comment. “Possessive, aren’t you?” he teased. But he liked that Ren was so vocal about his feelings for him. “It’s a good thing that I have no intention of going anywhere without you.” They were here on this vacation together so they would have all their moments together as well. “That’s a positive way to look at it. Which reminds me, we should take some pictures of the sites. Perhaps one day they would like to follow in our footsteps and make the trip here.” Wouldn’t that be lovely if they did?

“Think? I know!” Chuckling, Raju took another mouthful of the food. As flavour flooded his tongue, he reached for a spoon to return the favour. “On second thought, I just might share with you, husband.”

While Ren did know all about Raju's many dating partners throughout the years, none of it concerned him. Why should it? He was the man that had not only caught Raju's eye but captured his heart as well and held onto it. There was never any denying it that they were made for one another. Their very first meeting had been an instant connection and the rest was history. Whatever Gods had been in the favor that day will forever be thanked.

"Only when it comes to you," Ren answered without a moments hesitation. "Can't let anything happen to one of the best things that have ever happened to me." The other best things obviously being their children. "Thank the heavens for that because what would I do around here all on my own?" While there was plenty of things one could do on a vacation alone, this man never wanted to have to experience that. Even the thought of it didn't sit well with him. How had he been alone raising three children for so many years? Take photos for the kids? That was a good idea. "We should. Not only might they all enjoy seeing what we've been up to but it'll be a great way to keep it all fresh within our minds... Especially since we're getting up there in age." Sorry but he couldn't help but toss that joke out there again.

Ha! It was a good thing for them both that they could throw around such playful banter about literally anything in the moment. "What a thoughtful man you are! I might've starved without you kindness." Ren winked, holding back his laughter so he could partake in the enjoyment of more food finding its way to his mouth. Mmm, he might very well need to look into this recipe and try to make it for them at home!

One thing about Renner that Raju would always admire - and there were many - was the manner in which he was secure in this relationship. So Raju never had to worry about or defend his past dating. So the other man was correct with him being the only one now and forever. That was why the comment drew a pleased smirk. “You say the most romantic things, my love. I feel the same about you, and I always will.” And yes, the kiddos could not be left out! Then it was settled then! They would explore together at all times during this vacation! The jocund husband got a laugh in return because of the next words. “You’re right about taking pictures for our own benefits, but speak for yourself. I’m reminding you that I’m still young.” Raju winked.

“Then you must forever hold gratitude towards me,’’ the Coach remarked, an innocent smile on his face. Indeed, their bantering never grew old and tiring. In fact, it always gave him life. He was all too happy to feed Renner as much as he liked. And if Raju knew that Ren was already scheming to possibly try this recipe at home…

That had come with their instant deep connection. Renner was sure of that much. It had also helped that Raj had a way about him that could calm a raging storm. All he ever needed to do was lock eyes with the husband and all was well. "I say what I mean and I mean what I say." No words would ever be spoken unclearly or without reason. "Oooh, yes. Please forgive me. Such a young man I'm married to. Remain that way and keep me young too." Ren winked. Every photo taken would be the perfit reminder of how wonderful their lives are together.

Yes, yes! The dark haired man laughed joyously. "Indeed I shall. I'll forever be in your debt." Such silliness. It was these moments that kept him on his toes and having a great time. Oi! Well then consider him a spoiled man! Ren was thoroughly pleased to accept any and all offered food that came his way and in return was more than content to feed Raju as well. Now, this would remain a secret up until the day that he gave it a go in back in their own home and hopefully pulled it off without any major mishaps. "So how much of this food do you actually reckon we'll be taking back with us tonight?" If they continued eating the way they currently were, none of it would be making its way back!

Raju didn’t know what Ren was talking about. He was just him. But… on second thought, maybe being able to calm raging storms was also why he was a decent Quidditch coach? When it came to him and Renner, it also helped that the husband was the type to listen to understand before they both moved forward. He grinned yet again - something that was easier for him whenever Ren was around. “Don’t you ever forget it,’’ Raju commented, laughing quietly in the process. “I can certainly share some of my youthfulness with you. Fear not, husband dearest.”

Renner’s laugh, as usual, was like music to his ears. Though the other man laughed easily, Raju still felt the thrill whenever that melody was heard. Perhaps this is why Raju enjoyed being extra silly with him. He then tilted his head at the remaining food, surprised to see how much the two of them had put away so far. “Judging by what’s left, not much.” There was a laugh from him again. “Oh well. We can always order more to go or we can get room service later.” Raju never hesitated to spend on good food and this was good food! “But I do think I won’t have much room for dessert now so we can definitely take some back.”

Being HIM as Raju so often put it, was what Ren always expected. Nothing more. Nothing less. What he had seen that first afternoon that they had met in the park is the same wonderful, caring, gorgeously handsome man he still saw today. The only difference being they were married. Excuse him? Decent? No. Ren would argue that any day of the week and instant that his man was the best at what he does. Ha! He had no choice there but to join right in on the light laughter. "How shall I ever forget when I'm reminded on a very regular basis that you my dear Husband are way more youthful than I? I shall always be grateful for how well you look after me and my aging self." Cue a playful wink.

That laughter of his always came easily around those he loved and felt most at ease with. The surprise on Raju's face when he saw how much of their food had already been eaten had him grinning. They did eat quite a fair amount of it. "We can always do both. Anything we order to take with it can be put away until we're ready to eat it. If we choose not to eat the same later tonight we can order in for a little change." Either way all of the food be eaten at some point. Nod nod. Agreed. "We definitely have to take some dessert to go." Ren needed to sample those sweet treats later on!

Park?

Had Raju known what Renner was ‘reminiscing’ about, he would have reminded the other man that they actually met in Diagon Alley; at the Fountain to be exact. He would have also understood that his husband’s memory was due to old age. Speaking of aging… “And I shall always take care of you!” That was what they had vowed both during and outside of their wedding ceremony, hadn’t they? Raju took those promises very seriously, regardless if Renner was grateful or not. Though… knowing his other half, he needn’t worry about the latter.

The Coach supposed that one did eat a lot when they were with excellent company, and such was his current situation. “That sounds great! Let’s see what we’ll take back then. I confess however, I’m leaning more towards dessert.” He reached for the dessert menu to study it. “Hmm…carac sounds delicious. Chocolate’s an ingredient… are you tired of eating chocolates, Ren? We could always get something else if that’s the case.”

Oi!

Yes, indeed. The husband was spot on with his own memory were at times... Some things did tend to muddle together in his own head. Not that he would tell anyone so. Most certainly it was his age getting the better of him. Thankfully he had a very handsome man in his life to keep him on track with whatever he needed. "I'll hold you to that shall you ever try to deny saying so," Ren joked, winking playfully at Raju. They would take care of one another to the best of their abilities for as long as time allowed them to.

When chatting and having a grand time, one didn't always tend to focus on how much food or drink was being consumed in the moment. Especially such delicious food as this. Ha! Raj's confession of wanting to take home dessert didn't surprise this man in the slightest. "When have you ever known me to turn down chocolate? I don't know how it's possible but it's something I never seem to tire of." Good thing too since it was his passion and line of career work. "Choose whatever you like and I'll happily samble it all."

In response to that wink, Raju displayed a small but playful smirk. It was true: the two would always take care of each other. That went without saying or question. One such form was ensuring they had ample deserts to take back to their room. Knowing himself, Raju would get a craving later on but that might mean having to wait on room service or going out to get something.

Just one thing… Ren might regret giving him full control of picking their sweets. Raju wasted no time in placing a heft order, a bit of almost every kind that was listed on the menu. After the order was placed, he grinned widely. “That’s going to last us for a bit.” But in no time their orders arrived to-go and Raju grabbed the bags. “Shall we? It’s still nice out for another walk.”

Even with his 'failing' memory and aging self, Ren would always do his best to take care of whatever the husband needed. The children too of course. If it was within his power, no thoughts would be given. As for the amount of dessert they would be returning back to their room with, more was always better.

Ha! Regret? Not this man. Perhaps if it were the children making an order such as this and then them consuming it all much too quickly he would have to shut the idea down. Raju though, nah. They would snack and rest and snack and rest and get some walking in. No real chance of making themselves feel unwell. Hopefully. "Only because it's you and I and not the kids." Ren chuckled light. "Yee, walk off all we just ate and make room for more, splendid idea." Raising to his feet he held out a hand to take some of the bags. His other hand then reached for Raj's free one.

Scene 4:
Summer of 2120: Vi visits Lundy Island for the summer holidays to spend time with his sister - and nephew, of course!

How neat was it that every summer was packed with activities for him? Quidditch, time with friends, trips to Italy, time with family… Viano loved every moment of it!, Something he did not take for granted since he knew if he hadn’t been adopted by his papas’, he had missed out on all of this. Where was ‘this’ exactly? Lundy Island in Devon. At Vesper’s and Emily’s place, to be precise. The one that Papa Raju had been so nice to gift Vesper as a graduation present from Hogwarts present. Someone else might have felt jealous of such a grand gesture but not him. He thought that his Papa was incredibly generous, and Vesper was just as incredibly deserving.

Besides, this just meant that Vi was free to pick himself up and come here whenever he wanted because Vesper would always welcome him. He was her favourite sibling, after all. Sorry, Vera and Vasco!

“Vesp!” Viano descended from upstairs where he had just kept his belongings after arriving. Where had she disappeared to? He could have yelled, sure, but he didn’t want to bother little Eraos. But hopefully the newest addition to the family was awake. Vi wanted to play with his nephew.

How was it that her baby brother was seventeen?! Vesper couldn't imagine it. In her eyes Viano was still that sweet adorable little boy she'd met on the beach. Yet here they were. The final summer before her brother graduated and her, a mother. Merlin how the years moved right past them all.

Her home was the perfect size for Emily, young Eraos and herself. It truly had been an unimaginable graduation gift from Papa Raju. Yes, a few things had been changed but mostly to fit their own style and turn a room into a beautiful nursery for their growing son. Speaking of which, that was exactly where she was now. Standing in front of the changing table where Eraos lay playing with a soft picture book changing him into a fresh diaper and clothes. Vesper's soft chatter of random things to her son was cut short by the sound of her most favoritest younger brother.

"We're in the nursery," she called back, the widest of smiles on her face. It was always so nice to have Vi visiting them!

Vi didn’t know the answer to that question. Time certainly had flown by, with a lot happening during then. What he did know was that he was still {and he always would be} grateful to his family for accepting it as well as encouraging him to follow his dreams. He was definitely following in Papa Raju's footsteps as he had always wanted to do!

Excuse me, Vesp, but he was your only little brother.

Vi’s search came to a halt as soon as he heard Vesp’s voice. He navigated his way to the nursery quite easily. It was easy to do so when one was familiar with the house’s layout, even after it had been adjusted to Vesp’s and Emily’s style. “Hi again!” He stage whispered, not wanting to disturb Eraos but at the same time wrapping his arms around his sister’s middle. Vi gazed fondly at his nephew. “You know I’m going to turn him into a Quidditch player, right?” he asked, giving her a light squeeze.

Well he needed to stop growing up now please. Was there a way to stop time and just keep everyone as is? Probably not. Ves was so proud of him though. He was going to make it professionally once he graduated and she knew it. Vi was going to be a star!

Yes, yes, she knew that. And he was the best little brother she could ever ask for.

The layout of her home was amazing. Honestly there wasn't much at all that had needed to be done. Well maybe some colors were changed and things shifted into their style was it was mostly the same. Vi had wonderful timing as Ves had just finished getting little Eraos' shorts on. "Hello there," she laughed, wrapping an arm around Viano's waist to give him a return squish. "That wouldn't surprise me in the least. Honestly what does surprise me is that you haven't gotten him his first broom yet." Her free arm scooped up her son whom was already making grabbing at his uncle, his little smile bright with joy.

Vi would have liked to stop growing up a long time back - after he was adopted but before his biological father decided to make an appearance in his life - if that were possible. Then he could spend all day making jewellery with Vesp, sweets with Vasco and Papa Renner, and of course, training for Quidditch with Papa Raju. Then again, if that had happened, he wouldn’t have Eraos in his life. So maybe growing up was a positive thing.

What a warm squish! It was such a lovely thing to be on the receiving end of! Viano laughed, switching to Italian as the conversation continued. “Who says I haven’t already ordered one?” Another benefit of being ‘of age’ was that he got to use his money as he saw fit. Not that he planned on making bad financial decisions. “Custom made, so it’ll have some pretty cool colours on there.” Only the best for his nephew! And just look at those eyes! They were so mesermising. “Hi, Eraos.” Smiling softly, he reached out to tickle the kiddo under the chin. “You know, someday you’ll trap everyone with those eyes of yours.” Heaven forbid he turned out like Vi, who liked everyone.

Oi! If only this big sister could read his thoughts just then! Ves would've given him the biggest squish ever. What a sweet sweet boy! Only, he was correct. Time was always going to keep moving on even when they didn't want it to. Eraos was the light of her life, Vesper LOVED being his mum even if he was another one growing up way too quickly.

Always. This was the way she gave hugs, Vi would know that all too well. She had been squishing that poor boy since they had become friends on the beach in Italy years early. Oh, my! The young woman laughed softly. "Of course you have, spoiling him as we all do." Her son was going to have the best of everything if left to those in the family. "So not a mini replica of yours then?" This was said teasingly but at the same time surprise. The youngin squealed in delight at being tickled, chubby little arms flailing and grabby hands reaching for his uncle. "Doesn't he have the most lovely eyes?" Nod nod. Such a beautiful color and always full of joy. Hmm, would it be such a terrible thing if he grew up to like Uncle Viano? Vesp didn't think so. "I think he wants you to hold him."

Indeed!

Vi knew exactly how Vesper gave hugs, which was why he knew how to give them. But to be specific, those hugs were reserved for extra special persons only. He beamed, quite pleased with himself for having thought of a fitting gift for the nephew. It had been quite easy actually; toy broomsticks were what he wanted as a kiddo. Fortunately, there had been some kind donations to the orphanage which had allowed him to own a few.

“Just saying but if you give me more nephews - or nieces - I’ll spoil them too.” Especially now that he was on his way to managing his own finances. “Nope, not mine. Wanted something that would be his and his alone.” Vi laughed, Eraos’ squealing being like music to his ears. He allowed his hand to be caught. “He really does! I bet you that his eyes are what everyone will fall in love with first.” His heart leapt and he held out his hands. “I would love to! For the millionth time…” But was he tired of it? Never.

How to give a proper hug was rather important in life. So much so that Vi would have to help her make sure that young Eraos knew exactly how to give them as well. Between their papa Raju and Vi, her son was going to be the best flier and Quidditch player around. The little one might have a career in life before he could even walk properly.

"We'll see. Em and I haven't really discussed more children but it would be nice for Eraos to have a sibling or two someday." It was something to think about and not be taken lightly. "Let's not forget about Vera and Vasco, we'll have to spoil their babies eventually as well. And any that you have too of course!" Ahem, they could give her all the nieces and nephews please and thanks! "Well look at you thinking that way. I'm sure he's going to cherish his broom." She'll make sure that it's always kept at its best. As for her sons eyes, the most perfect mix of hers and Em's. "His eyes and everything else I'm sure. Same as with you." Ves nudged the little brother lightly. Aaawww, her heart! She smiled proudly as Eraos wasted no time at all snuggling right into his uncles arms, one small fist holding onto Viano's shirt.

"If you let him he'll have you holding him the entire time you're here." Which was okay with her..There was nothing more important than Eraos having a close relationship with all the family.

His sister’s words sent him into a wide smirk. “Sometimes kiddos just happen, you know? In case you forgot.” He bit back a snigger. Personally, he wouldn’t care - and he knew their papas would be delighted - if Vesp and Em popped up with another kiddo out of the blue. It would simply mean there would be two kiddos to turn into Quidditch stars. “Of course, we can never forget about Vera and Vasco!” As for him having his own kiddos? Vi shrugged. “We shall see what happens,’’ he said, because truthfully, what his main focus was presently on was building his Quidditch career.

“As he gets older, we’ll just have to upgrade his broomstick too! Eraos will have many of those, it seems.” Viano then playfully stuck his tongue out at Vesp. “If that were true, I wouldn’t be stuck watching Diego date Zen.” But it was okay. What was most important to him was that his best friend was happy. At the moment, he gave that no more thought since tiny Eraos was clinging to him - to his shift to be exact. Right there and then, Vi knew. If anyone would make him want kids of his own, it was this nephew of his. “That’ll be no problem with me.” With great joy, he poked the toddler lightly in the plump cheek. “I can’t believe babies are so tiny.” It really was a wonder!
