Davet not minding PDA certainly matched well with Jude because Jude liked receiving PDA as much as he liked giving it! As far as he was concerned, these actions matched the words and promises they said and made to each other. If Davet needed to know, the ENTIRE Anders family adored him! He wasn't just Jude’s love but also Reagan’s bestie. And clearly Keigh loved him too, not to mention enjoyed his company, otherwise she wouldn’t be here. As for Davet being pulled into insecurities when it came to Evan, Jude really did try to show his other half on a daily basis that he was the only one for him. So yes, Keighley was absolutely right: Davet had brought an immeasurable amount of happiness to his life.

With the plan agreed upon, Jude decided to Summon a brush to go along with the comb {which had been Summoned earlier with the hair accessories}. Brushing just made hair fluffier and thicker in his opinion. Now settled comfortably in the fort, he found Dav’s face again and replied with a grin of his own. “He pays attention to all the details, Keigh! I assure you, he won’t forget anything to do with your likes and dislikes.” The boyfriend was just the best in that department! “Someday, they’ll do another remake of the movie or play and you’ll be playing the role of the prince or Lumiere,’’ Jude remarked knowledgably. He figuratively sent the words out into the Universe because Dav certainly deserved to be cast in all the roles he dreams about. Even if Jude had to watch him kiss someone else; it was a good thing he was never the jealous type! He couldn’t help but chuckle at his sister’s seeming indignation about only now finding out about Davet and the play. “Clearly Dav has a lot to fill you in on his earlier acting days. The good thing is that you get to see his new movies and plays, Keigh! Imagine him and Rea having to act together again as a couple.” Jude sniggered heartily because his older sister and boyfriend acting as a couple and having to kiss was highly amusing to him still.

“Thanks, babe.” Jude lost no time in plucking a green marshmallow from the drink. “Lumiere and Cogsworth,’’ he added promptly in relation to the question. “Their relationship is hilarious and first class!” And Chip! How could he have forgotten about that little teacup? “He’s as cute as you are, did you know, Keigh?” With that, he hit the ‘play’ button and off the movie went!

He didn’t often gave any attention to insecurities, but the way Jude’s family all treated him certainly helped to squash the pesky thoughts in the briefest moments they appeared. And Jude’s own treatment of him as well - he put a lot of effort in to making Davet feel secure as well. Which always worked - because he was just happy to be in the position in life he was now.

Dav chuckled softly at Keighley’s question of how she hadn’t heard of that before. “It’s often easier to talk about the more recent roles. I loved my first time on a stage, but I certainly wasn’t good - even for having a non-speaking role.” He believed he’d tripped the person playing the Beast at least 3 different times during their first performance. He’d just been so exceptionally nervous. Hearing Jude’s manifesting, he grinned at him and leaned over to give him a peck on the cheek, simply nodding in agreement. If his boyfriend said it would be so, he had no doubts that it would. “Maybe between now and then I can convince you to be my Cogsworth.” He knew the last movie made had added different relationship representation with Lafou and Gaston - but if you asked him, there was a duo that was an even better fit. Ahh, yes, the infamous play in which he and Reagan had acted opposite each other. Dav was glad Jude saw such humor in it - as despite how professional they were, been in an on stage relationship with your sister-in-law boyfriend’s sister was just a tad uncomfortable. Even if that person was also your best friend. “I just hope if we both go movie, it’s nothing ever over PG.” He might actually turn down those ones if it came about.

The two siblings were so similar, it was beyond endearing. Davet watched them both fondly as they tackled their hot cocoas before focusing on the replies to his previous question. “Chip is very cute. And Lumiere and Cogsworth are truly worthy of being favorites! I quite like Belle’s father, Maurice too.” Though that was really only for the animated one. Watching Jude get to work with hair items and hit the play button, he picked out a couple nail polishes they had brought out before. If he remembered correctly, the ‘house’ they were part of at their school had the colors yellow and black. And while he thought the black was too harsh, he was pretty certain he’d also heard one of Keighley’s nicknames was Sunflower - so he opted for a yellow, a complimenting shade of orange and a little bit of brown. He could make a sunflower on one finger and then the surrounding ones have petals falling here and there.

For those that didn't know her, she was a people person. Always. that was simply how she was, bubbly and cheerful much like her big brother Jude. She was also relatively simple, if her siblings got along with someone, she typically did as well. Carefree and easy to please. Davet truly had nothing at all to worry about when it came to her. As long as Jude was happy, then so was she. It really was as simple as that. Annnnnnd from what she could see, both young men seemed tremendously happy.

Keighley giggled softly at hearing Davet speak about himself not being good during his first role in Beauty and the Beast. "But that's alright! We all have to begin somewhere and we learn and grow from our mistakes... look how far you've come now!" Really it was something. Davet and Reagan both had grown loads and loads! She hadn't even known Davet all that long and she had seen the difference in his performances already. "Oooh, the two of you in the play together would be lovely! I want tickets to that showing." She wouldn't miss something like that for anything in the world! Thoughts of Davet and Rea having to be a couple in more plays again had her giggle. "They would do amazing no matter who they had to play." She had faith in all of them.

Lifting the mug of cocoa to her lips, she took a small sip of the hot liquid. Nod, nod, nod went her head, her blonde hair falling all about her face. They all had such great taste in characters. "Heeeeeeey! Are you calling me a baby?" she laughed, her tone playful and her blue eyes shinning as she grinned at her big brother.

Jude was certain of one thing: if any of those particular insecurities of Dav’s surfaced now, it would easily vanish because of the way Keighley was chirping away with Davet. No one could be insecure about anything when the baby sister was around. She just had this way of making all the dark thoughts vanish; Jude would know as she had spent so much time helping him heal his heart a few years back.

Whatever the boyfriend said, had Jude known him back then, he would have still thought the world of Davet having a non-dialogue role. When it came to this young man beside him, Jude was positively obsessed! Just as he was obsessed with those kisses! Sorry, Keigh, if they came across as super duper mushy! Jude’s face sparkled with interest. “Oooh, I’d accept that role in a heartbeat! I mean, can you imagine the explosive chemistry we’d bring on screen too?” Not to mention Jude had picked up more than a few acting tips from Davet. Regarding Dav and Rea acting as a couple, he could never be mad about that; he was much too secure in his romantic relationship to ever be that way, even about Dav’s other on screen partners. Then again, it was the PG stuff he was comfortable with but he knew that Davet was much too considerate of him to do any other sort. “You both will. You’ll see soon enough.” Manifesting all the good things for the older sister and boyfriend! “Keigh’s right. You’ve come a far way, and you’ll go even further! With Keigh and I saying it, there’s no way it wouldn’t come through for you!” And for Rea!

Between watching the movie, brushing Keigh’s hair and drinking the hot chocolate, Jude was also watching Dav work on Keigh’s nails. The thought that the other guy would someday make a wonderful father crossed his mind once again. In turn, it reminded him that there was something they needed to tell Keigh. And now he was sort of bursting to get the words out but at the same time, did not want to interrupt the movie. If Dav happened to look over at him at any time, he’d just mouth the question at him; the question about if they should tell Keigh now that they wanted to secretly get married and that they wanted her to be one of the three witnesses.

“Yes, I’m absolutely calling you a baby, Keigh,’’ Jude replied happily, now beginning to separate a bit of his sister’s hair on the left side of her scalp, the bit closest to her ear, from the rest. He began to plait that bit, doing so until it was about a quarter of a way through. “You’re the baby of the four and always will be.” Their nieces - Linnet and Kestrel - were the babies of ALL the Anders'.

Chelliephone 11-12-2023 05:07 PM

Davet grinned and agreed with a nod of his head, she certainly was correct. So terrible or not, he still appreciated his first experience. "You're very right. I don't think I ever would have even found how much I loved it if I hadn't first been the footstool." He laughed, thinking on it again. The idea of an acting role with Jude sounded like a dream, but he also knew that wasn't his passion and he was certainly okay with the fact they had different interests. Though of course that didn't mean he still wouldn't slip in a joke (or hint) here and there. "If I ever convince him, you'll be the first we send tickets to." He informed Keighley, grinning over at Jude. "In the mean time, we'll still send you tickets for anything Reagan and I do together in the future." Which he was certain Rea had covered anyways to begin with.

At Jude's words he would accept such a role, Davet beamed at him - mind already cycling through who he knew from the troop who might have connections to get that to be a thing. Even if it was just a local play, something like that as an extracurricular for them (in a few years of course, when poor Jude didn't have nearly as much on his plate) might be a fun surprise. "We do have good chemistry, if I say so myself." He was biased naturally, but that didn't make the information any less true to him. Dav did know Jude was very secure in their relationship, and he also knew the other male had every reason to be. He loved that Jude trusted him and knew that too and he would never do anything to endanger that level of trust. Which is probably why there were a lot of roles he would never consider, out of respect for his partner, even if he believed if they had conversations about things they could get to a level of being okay with anything. There was a lot of other roles out there though that he could accept without having to make any party uncomfortable - so why not just stick to those? "Thank you both for the vote of confidence. With support like that, there's really no chance of failure." Because even if he didn't make it big, he knew his loved ones supported him - and that was the true measure of success if you asked him.

Davet was very concentrated on what he was working on with her nails, so much so he started ignoring some of the movie though he could still hear it in the background. Every so often, around his favorite parts, he'd glance up and sing along with what was on screen, before returning back to what he was doing. It was on 'Be Our Guest' when he particularly got into an animated role of singing along with Lumiere (he was a drama kid, sometimes he still inadvertently went dramatic) that he then glanced over at Jude with a smile. He could see his boyfriend looking at him, and catching the mouthed question he gave a nod of his head. He was fine with Jude sharing that news whenever he was comfortable!

Should anyone need a cuddle or two or possibly twelve to help melt those insecurities right away, she was their gal. It may not seem like it but she knew all about being insecure. She was the one with both the girlfriend and the boyfriend, remember? Those times were done and over though and there wasn't any need in bringing them back up. She preferred to look ahead into the future now and only see the best of everything for the three of them.

"Me? Convince Jude of something? That's much too easy for me to do," Keighley giggled, turning her blue eyes onto her brother. "Right, Jude? If I ask nicely enough you'll do it?" It was that bond they had. She never had to beg or nag him for anything. All she had to do was ask. The same went for him, anything he wanted or needed, she would do for him.

Aha! See? She knew it. The blonde beamed widely at the two of them. "Perhaps the movie will have a dance number in it."That would be perfect for Jude. As for them sending her tickets, well she didn't expect anything less. "I'll be there. Every show, no matter what." Unless it was at the same time as Livvy or Charlie's Quidditch matches.. then there could be an issue. Otherwise she would be there. No one mind her while she made all of these commitments to everyone she loved dearly please and thanks.

"Of course, Davet! You'll always have my support." If he hadn't realized it by now he would be learning soon enough that she would be drowning him in it with all of her shows of 'sisterly' affection.

Keigh did her best to attempt to sit as still as she could manage while getting her hair and nails worked on. Most of the time she did fairly well except for whenever a song started and she HAD to join in and singalong! Sorry, not sorry, guys!

FearlessLeader19 11-25-2023 08:35 PM

Davet’s very first acting stint as a footstool did reaffirm Jude’s belief that everything always worked out for the best. Just look at where his boyfriend was now career-wise! The two may have different interests but they were still very much supportive of each other which went a long way; Jude would know because Davet’s {in addition to his friend and family} served as a strong motivation to him. He sent the other young man a grin. “For you, I’d do anything.” Did Jude intentionally flirt there? Yes, he did. “And for you, little sister! You’ve got me wrapped around your finger and you know it!’’ It had always been like that between the two youngest Anders’ siblings. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for Keigh also. “Oh, we do! Once everyone gets wind of our chemistry onstage as well, they’ll forget about you and Rea. They’ll just want us.” Sorry, Rea! But of course Jude was only joking about all but his and Davet’s chemistry! No matter whom Dav was set to be a lead in a play or movie with, the fact would always be that he would have the best chemistry with Jude despite the actor’s talent at portraying any character. Needless to say that Jude appreciated that his love would not even consider certain roles; it was a good thing also because while he wasn’t insecure in this relationship, he most likely would not have wanted to object to those roles for fear of everyone thinking he was holding Davet back.

“A dance number would sure make things even more interesting! I’d be game for dancing with Dav on screen or on stage!” Davet had come a long way in learning the different styles of dances Jude knew and taught. “Of course you will be there, Keigh, for it all but I’d get it if you were busy with MMA and Quidditch.” He was a very understanding big brother. Also, even if Jude did, for some reason, get a little under the weather, he knew that Keigh gave the best cuddles. She was who he would go to for pick-me-up cuddles, mhmm!

The younger guy was having the time of his life. Like… this was so comfortable, so perfect to be sitting here with two of his favourite people, having a chocolatey treat and watching a movie he loved. It was quite fun to see Dav and Keigh singing along with the dramatics and all. Jude himself got fully into it while finishing Keigh’s hairstyle. It was quite a colourful style with its multicoloured hair holders. “Tonight you'll prop your feet up but for now, let's eat up! Be our guest! Be our guest!’’ he sang just as loudly and dramatically as Davet while the last holder was added to the end of the braid with a flourish.

Jude gave Davet a warm smile and laid Keigh’s luscious hair over her shoulder. “So, Keigh. Dav and I, we’re thinking of getting married secretly and we’re hoping that you’d be one of our witnesses.” More details would be provided shortly BUT he just wanted to make sure that the news sank in and his sister wasn’t too occupied with the movie.

On a side note, the thought of being married to Davet was SUPER, SUPER exciting and thrilling to him!

Chelliephone 11-26-2023 06:23 PM

If he wasn't at risk of messing up the nails he'd been meticulously working on, he would have leaned over to kiss Jude at his words - the flirting tone not at all lost on him. Instead, he settled for a wink, chuckling a bit too at the siblings. "I definitely don't think I've seen siblings with a better relationship than the pair of you." Which was saying a lot, considering he'd seen the rest of the Anders clan as well and they all seemed to get along splendidly. Jude's tone might have been teasing, but Davet actually suspected that would have been the truth. He and Rea were both great at what they did, but it also was no secret to people who knew them and saw them off stage they were simply the best of friends. Perhaps it was because of how loud they were too in their friendship and support of each other that could make people also remember that in their roles, not that Davet had any intention of being anything less than supportive and proud of his best friend. "It's true, we might unleash a type of monster if we perform together." It would be well worth it though.

At the suggestion of a dance number as well, Davet smiled a bit, another soft laugh escaping. "A dance number would be a must if Jude was involved." And it would probably be the most flawless one the curly haired boy would ever execute, considering there was no one he trusted to lead him like his partner. He'd gotten much better at dancing thanks to Jude, but when it came to doing scenes with anyone else it still often took... a lot of practices before he could nail it. Keighley's promise brought a smile to Davet's lips but he also nodded in agreement with Jude's words. With two partners also heavily involved in sporting matches, he knew she would have a lot of time constraints already on her hands. She didn't need to stress about them when other activities, her own or Olivia or Charlie's, came up. "We'll always have a seat prepared. But no stress if it isn't physically, in spirit we know it always is."

Considering this WAS their favorite movie, Davet wasn't perturbed when Keighley needed to move or animatedly sing along. In fact, he generally expected it and during the songs he'd sit a bit back with the nail polish so that she didn't have to hold quite so still. It was perhaps taking longer because of this but since they had the full movie, he didn't think that mattered too much. He watched the pair of siblings, his heart feeling especially full. He loved Jude being so happy and the supportive words from Keighley had a warmth of emotion running through him as well. As someone who'd never had siblings, it meant a lot to him to be so accepted now by his boyfriend's family. As Jude finished her hair when Be Our Guest ended, Davet quickly finished up the sunflower nails he'd decided on, and capped off the nail polish in order to put it away.

As Jude also shared their news, he grinned as wide as a chesire cat and just waited - observing the siblings.

Kolyander 12-09-2023 11:45 PM

Jude was such a mush! Annnnd she was here for it. Keigh grinned widely at the cuteness that was her older brother and his partner. The two of them both seriously warmed her heart. It wasn't only just their words but how they acted towards one another. In some ways they reminded her of her own relationships but mostly they made her think of their parents. The playfulness, pride, caring and love for one another. "Well how could you not be with a face as precious as mine!" she giggled jokingly, giving Jude the sweetest look she could manage. ''We're all really close as far as siblings go but.. yeah, Jude and I here.. he's always been at my side looking out for me and making sure I'm happy." Not that Koen and Rea didn't it was just easier for them cause they were closer in age. Now as for Davet and Jude together on stage.. well they would totally be amazing! "The two of you together would be fantastic! I don't care how it happens but it needs to someday.”

Ha! She knew it! The blonde laughed softly along with them. "I can see it now, the two of you together dancing on stage. No one would be able to take their eyes off of either of you." It would be the best performance she had ever seen, especially if Rea was in it as well! A small hand was waved at them both. "Shhhh, the two of you are so silly. I'll be there. Somehow, someway. I wouldn't miss something like that." Even if she had to be there by mirror call, she would make it work.

This sleepover had hardly begun and she was having the greatest time. As Jude finished working on her hair she flashed him the brightest smile. It was perfect and exactly like how she loved to wear her hair when she needed it out of her face and wanted something cute. Not to mention how it went with her nails! "Thank you! I love it!" She would have to take a photo at some point to send to Livvy and Charlie.

The look between Jude and Davet was only partly noticed now that her hair and nails were done. Her attention shifting onto her brother as he started speaking, the movie completely forgotten as his words slowly sank in. Married. Secretly. Witness. Were they saying what she thought they were saying?! Bright clear blue eyes very slowly moved back and forth between them several times to make sure she fully understood what she was being asked. ”Oh, my goodness! Oh, my goodness! Yesssssss! Of course I'll do it!” Keigh squealed in pure delight as she flung herself at Jude without thinking in all of her excitement.

They could tell how happy she was about this, right?

FearlessLeader19 12-21-2023 12:34 AM

Kisses from the boyfriend {hopefully soon-to-be-husband!} were always welcome but Jude would understand Dav’s caution. Jude reacted to the wink by grinning mischievously. “That’s because Keigh and her adorable face hasn’t left my side since she was born! Somehow, she picked me as her favourite sibling.” Jude chuckled a bit at his own remark because he figured that by now, all of the Anders’ knew this fact. Don’t get him wrong, Jude LOVED watching Dav and Rea act together; they had the best on-stage chemistry but imagine adding real life chemistry with an actual partner! “The world wouldn’t be able to get enough of us!” Keigh would be right: Jude, and no doubt his other siblings, had learnt love from their parents. Addi and Connor too were a pile of mush together! “See, Dav? We’ve gotta act and dance together at some point. We can’t disappoint Keigh!”

Yes, dance numbers were a must! Dancing was life and it brought immense happiness to Jude. Dav had PROBABLY gotten better at the activity? Nope. It was a SURE thing! Jude still enjoyed teaching and practicing Dav all the moves and it was one of his fave things to do with his person. Dav was a capable learner… and after all, it had been during one of those teaching sessions that Jude had fallen in love. “We know you’ll do your best, just don’t want to put pressure on you when you’ll have a ton of things going on, Keigh!” The pair of young men were super understanding of being busy! Jude gazed at his other half as he reassured Keigh. The way Dav got along with every member of the Anders’ family warmed his heart. How could Dav not be accepted by all the Anders, and Jude’s extended family as well? His boyfriend was just warm, friendly and everything nice! Therefore, he would always be well loved in the entire family.

“You’re welcome! It’s great to be able to do your hair again.” With the hair and sunflower nails combo, his baby sister looked even more like an angel. Even before Keigh’s reaction came, Jude knew what it was going to be. And perhaps Dav knew too, judging by that grin. Then Keigh was throwing herself at him and he was catching her and squishing her. It made him overwhelmed with good emotion to see how happy she was for him. One arm holding her, Jude reached for Dav. He needed to be in this hug too!

Chelliephone 12-21-2023 05:36 AM

Davet smiled at the pair of them again, giving a small nod when Keighley also included their older siblings in the blanket statement of how close they all were. "i have noticed that with all of you. Even before I was formally introduced to the Anders clan, Reagan always spoke very fondly of all of you." Maybe that was a portion too of why Davet's eyes had always been so drawn to Jude when the family had showed for performances and the like. She spoke so highly of all the family, he couldn't help but be curious about them all early. He hadn't expected initially to be so attracted to Jude as well, but clearly it wasn't something he held any regrets on either. "It sounds like you guys picked each other." They were close in age, and their temperaments seemed quite complimentary as well. Both were fun loving and had a natural appreciation for life, but they perhaps weren't as energetic as his own best friend tended to be. "You won't hear any complaints from me on that idea." He replied, sending a wink Keighley's way. "We definitely cannot disappoint her!" And bless her for being just as excited at the idea as he was. It would not be a stretch to say a performance with Jude was an item on his bucket list.

His partner's love of dance was perhaps why Davet had also been so willing to learn, or accept any positions in which the skillset would be necessary. It gave him an excuse to request more of Jude's time, even if he would have told him he didn't need a reason. And it was important to Dav that Jude saw the things that were important to him; were equally important to the Durand. At Jude's assurance to Keighley, his head bobbed in an emphatic agreement. "Exactly that. We're not silly to also care about your schedule." He reminded her gently. He and Jude had certainly been biting off nearly more than they could chew as of late - they could recognize the fact Keighley had a lot on her plate to juggle as well.

He was more than happy to sit back and just watch the interaction between the siblings, his grin stretching from ear to ear at Keighley's reaction and Jude's clear excitement with sharing the information. The eager hug and quick answer of yes to their request was also appreciated, and Davet perhaps felt a little emotional watching the pair for a moment before Jude's arm his direction was noticed. With a soft laugh, he scooted to join the hug, wrapping an arm around the siblings already entangled and giving them a soft squeeze, while also pausing to press a quick kiss to Jude's head. He couldn't wait to be married to this wonderful man of his.

Kolyander 12-29-2023 03:35 PM

There went Jude giving her even more compliments! "You're so welcome that I blessed your boring life with my cute adorable little self," Keighley joked happily. "I know I'm such a joy to be around." The young lady laughed wholeheartedly, clearly having a good time. With all that said, she reached over and gentle pinched her big brother's cheek. "How could I not have chosen you? Lookit how cute you are!" They made the most perfect pair as they grew up, they still did as far as siblings went. Oh, Merlin these two! Had she mentioned at all recently how adorable they were together because if she hadn't, she needed to do so right away! "Don't worry about disappointing me... you can disappoint all those fans you'll both have once they see the two of you on stage together!" This girl was just going to be their biggest fan was all. Sorry Reagan.

Keighley flashed both guys a soft smile. "You're both too sweet, you know that? But seriously though, nothing will keep me from seeing either of your performances." She would be there. Someway, somehow. Fingers crossed for now that no conflicting schedules happened. Though between Livvy, Charlie, Jude, Reagan, Davet, Koen and her own activities there were bound to be some issues with timing. Until that came up though she was just going to have high hopes for it all.

"You can do my hair anytime I'm around." That went for her nails too and the offer was open to Davet also. Keigh found it rather relaxing so there would never be any complaints coming from her end. Well hello there, Dav! Don't mind her as she shifted about in Jude and hers hug to include her almost brother-in-law! SQUISH! "You two didn't think I'd say no, did you? This is amazing! Do you know when you want to do this?" she had all the questions now and couldn't at all contain her excitement. Her brother was getting married!!!

FearlessLeader19 12-30-2023 01:46 PM

It came as no surprise to hear Rea had spoken fondly of all of them; this was something each Ander offspring did. Jude amused himself by wondering if Rea had spoken a little extra fondly about him to get Davet’s attention. He certainly wouldn’t put it past his elder sister! Ooh, Keigh was so playfully sassy when she wanted to be! Jude inclined his head in a bow. “I thank thee for your consideration, Keigh. I admit that life would have been dull without you.” He lifted his head, all solemness vanishing as he laughed. It was true: Keigh added a great deal of value to his life. He pouted in jest as his cheek was pinched. “Right? With a cute face like this, it’s no wonder you and Dav can’t resist me!” His boyfriend’s words made him chuckle. “I hadn’t thought of that, you know. The Universe definitely was looking out for us in that department.” Chuckling again, Jude assured Keighley, “Just for you, little sister. Just for you!” He and Dav certainly look into this! The idea of and working on any project with the other young man always thrilled him.

Which was why Jude always more than readily made the time to give Dav dance lessons. Beside it being time for them to continue bonding, it provided Davet with an extra skill for his acting. In the future, Jude would never say no to working on choreography for Dav’s and Rea’s movies if needed. That led him to thinking that if either of the two needed action skills, in terms of MMA, then they could have Keigh to help. Baby sis was so, so capable already at her young age! “Dav and I appreciate you, Keigh! We already can’t wait to see you at all the events you can make it to!” And both men would be there for her as often as they could.

Jude was excited about all the things: about asking Keigh to be one of the witnesses, to be married to Davet and about everything else good that life had in store for him! He couldn’t help but to squish but Keigh and Dav happily before leaning into his boyfriend lightly for that kiss. “Nope, we didn’t!” Jude and Davet already knew Keighley would be there for them. “In a week or so. Heck, we’d do it today if we could but we still have to ask Rea and Evan.” Three witnesses were enough, and it was three that meant a lot to the guys.

Chelliephone 01-06-2024 09:36 PM

Honestly, probably yes in regards to the oldest female Anders. It was possible that Davet only somehow ended up paying extra attention when Jude was mentioned, but it seemed like Jude had been the one whose name had come up the most. Not that Davet minded, especially now years later when he was probably the name he mentioned the most as well. He watched the interaction between the siblings in amusement, a smile on his face as he did so. At the comment from his boyfriend about Jude's own irresistability, he just gave solemn nod in agreement - even if he knew it'd been teasing. Jude WAS adorable and Dav's heart had been a lost cause to keep it to himself from the moment of their first date. As for the pair potentially performing together? Dav would certainly been following the hype of this conversation and reach out to the directors he knew. Even if it was just a local production, low stress, maybe it's something he could get aligned for post Jude's graduation.

It was true, that with a family so full of performing arts careers that Davet was lucky enough to have new resources for method acting with different roles. But that did also present the unique challenges of the fact there would probably always be something going on. And they'd be lucky if it was only one. "We'll be there for as many as your competitions as we can as well." He replied as well, giving Keigh a bright smile as he did so. He didn't know much about her craft, but he knew enough to know that it seemed she won a lot of her matches.

Being included in the hug too was a warm feeling for him, and he returned it for both of the Anders before kissing Jude's cheek a second time - just unable to contain all the joy he felt at the upcoming plans and the fact they'd already gotten one of the yeses they were hoping for. "I didn't really think you'd say no." He replied in response to her question, his hand finding one of Jude's. "Thank you for saying yes still." As for the time? He just nodded in agreement with Jude's response. The sooner the better, but it would be nice to have all three of the people they most wanted. Davet was fairly confident Reagan and Evan would end up being yeses as well.

The way Jude so easily played right along had Keighley laughing even more, so much so that she very nearly toppled right over into him and Davet both! Goodness her! If these giggles didn't stop soon she was going to end up laughing so hard that she cried. "You're pure ridiculous Jude Anders!" He was as silly as she was, that much was for sure.

The blonde smiled. "I know that you two will never let me down." She would have seats for them at all of her events and if they couldn't make it, that was alright. Their family was large enough that someone would be able to. They were very lucky in the way of having so many supporters when it came to their activities. That was definitely one thing she could never complain about. The amount of people in her life that she had cheering her on.

Now, there were a few things that Keigh had to process right then. One being that they wanted to get married within about a week's time. The second being that she was the first one to know about this. And her excitement on both things came about in yet another round of squeals and squishes for the guys. "A week?! That's so soon! What am I even meant to wear!" Then came a much larger squeal where she practically shook Jude around in her excitement again. Opps. "Do you mean to tell me that I'm the first one to know about this?! Squeeeee!!! How exciting was this?!?!

FearlessLeader19 01-20-2024 08:05 PM

Listen, Jude may be adorable but Davet was adorabler. True, it wasn’t a word in the English dictionary but that was just how Jude saw him. The boyfriend and the baby sister were both right at the top of the ‘adorabler’ list and there would be no changing that, ever! See? Keigh tumbling into him and Dav in a mix of giggles just proved it! “And that’s why you love me, Keighley Anders!’’

It was always incredible to have Dav’s support and even more incredible when that support was extended to the rest of the Anders’. But this went both ways because Jude had long started considering Dav’s parents - and extended family - as his own. “Exactly as Dav says,’’ he told Keighley sincerely. It was going to be a hectic life for them all seeing as they were involved in one demanding career path or the other but they’d make the time as best as they could for anything that mattered. Neither young man would ever intentionally let her down.

Jude basked in kisses from his love. Oh, yes he did! He always did and he always would! He in turn planted a soft kiss on Dav’s lips because this was obviously a very, very happy moment for them all, It was why he couldn’t help but grin goofily. And then because he couldn’t help it, lifted Dav’s hand that was intertwined with his to kiss his knuckle. Still gripping his boyfriend’s hand, Jude couldn’t help but laugh; his sister was being so comical right now. “It doesn’t have to be anything fancy but if you like, we can go shopping. Dav and I will probably need to get something each too.” And they would need to tell Ev and Rea really soon so that the two could also get prepared. “Shopping tomorrow, then?” he asked looking from Keighley to Davet.

Chelliephone 02-03-2024 04:17 AM

At Keighley's giggling and near toppling, Davet reached out as well to keep his soon to be sister-in-law from falling, as he just continued to smile and observe the pair of them and their giggles - his own grin just turned more and more fond at the sight.

Well, they certainly would try their best to make sure they didn't! Though with Keighley's attitude as it was, he imagined it would take a lot to do so. Especially when they were always putting their best foots forward to support her and the rest of those important to the ever growing clan. And it was true, with as large as the family was - there WOULD always be someone around to support. Coming from a small family himself, that was something truly amazing and a blessing in Davet's eyes!

It was perhaps one of THE happiest moments. Only to be one upped potentially in a week when the five of them were together and Davet and Jude were promising themselves officially to each other. And even if it wasn't a moment in which he felt entirely euphoric, kisses from the love of his life would never be not enthusiastically accepted. Dav returned the quick peck, and when their joined hands were later lifted to Jude's lips as well he melted a bit as he squeezed his hand, giving him a small wink. "Shopping tomorrow sounds like an excellent idea!" If it wasn't such a quick turn around, he would have also suggested they visit Jude's friend Aria. "Maybe we can invite Reagan and Evan out with us to lunch before we go? Ask them then if they'll join too?" And then all of them could do their shopping together and celebrate even longer the upcoming nuptials that only they would know about.

Kolyander 02-06-2024 05:00 PM

She may have toppled right over into the perfect pair of guys that would surely hold her up, but that didn't slow the giggles down. "Only one of the million reasons!" There was no reason to begin listing them now otherwise they would be here for ages and ages! Surely Davet could agree with her on that, yes?

Keigh looked at the two of them and nodded. "I know that we'll all do our best to be there for each other whenever we're able to be." This had always been a given for Jude and herself but now Davet was included into the mix as well. As well as the rest of the Anders clan and beyond. Her life was sure to always be book solid with attending someones performance, concert, competition or whatever else was happening.

Internal flailing at the cuteness that was her brother and Dav! Her heart was going to explode with how they were together. All this sweetness was exactly what she loved to see and hear. The mention of shopping though. Now that was a whole other story! "Nothing fancy? I have to look my best for your wedding, silly," Did Jude not hear him?! "Yesssssss, shopping! Please. I love this idea." Keigh nodded her head several times at both Jude and Davet. Shopping and lunch with Reagan and Evan as well sounded like a great idea to her.

FearlessLeader19 02-13-2024 12:38 AM

The younger guy chuckled. “I bet.” He was grinning too but he felt the same for the baby sister. Davet really was protective and caring. Seeing him looking out for Keigh made his heart fall even more in love {if that were even possible at this stage} with him. It was important that one’s partner got along swimmingly with one’s family, and Jude certainly had scored well in this department.

This certainly counted as one of the happiest moments of Jude’s life! Like Dav, he felt that the other in a couple of days would be THE happiest. He would also not mind continuing the little displays of affection after Dav returned a few, however, Jude thought that he might end up making Keigh get tired of himself and Davet. So instead, he eagerly carried on the conversation about the preparations for the big day. “Good idea! I’ll message Evan shortly. You two have got Rea-duty.” Jude gave Keigh a mock sorrowful look. “I’m sorry for suggesting something simple, Little Lady. You get to go all out.” Making this wedding work would take some teamwork! He was pretty sure the team of five could!

Scene 20:
Fall of 2112: With three out of four of their children no longer living at home and the fourth mostly attending university and practicing constantly for auditions, Connor and Addison have become a bit lonely. So what better way to fix this than to adopt an adorable little crup!

Characters:
Connor Anders (FearlessLeader19)
Addison Anders (Kolyander)

Addison knew that as kids grew up and graduated from school they tended to move out and spread their own wings. It was a given. Their oldest son had done so years earlier. Thankfully Reagan had spared them the heartache (for now) by remaining at home and attending a university not too far away. However she was a very busy young woman with all that she had going on lately and wasn't home nearly as much as her mama would like. Not that Addi didn't understand the reasons why, she did and she was very much all for them but it still saddened her that another child was grown. Then there was Jude, sweet Jude. Barely had he been home from graduating Hogwarts and he had moved out with precious Davet. And very soon after their youngest Keighley had followed suit and done the same moving in with one of her partners, the lovely Olivia. This mama bear was ever the proudest she could be of them all for moving forward and working hard to make their dreams come true but.. that left their home quiet and empty.

This was how they had come to the decision they had. Getting a crup. After a fair bit of discussion obviously. One didn't just go out and get themselves a crup on a whim. Not them anyway. This was quite the commitment they were making and she had to admit she was excited about it. "Are you almost ready?" she called to her husband from near the front door where she was slipping on her jacket. "I want to get there when the shop opens." That was probably the worst time to go to a shop but this was what she wanted to do today.

FearlessLeader19 03-02-2024 11:45 PM

While his lovely wife seemed to be handling all these significant changes to her life, Connor was not. At least not when he was with Addi; he kept himself well composed whenever one of the kids discussed their plans of moving out. Mentally, he was preparing himself for the day Reagan made it known that she intended to move in with Chris. Thankfully, that day had not yet come but he knew it would at some point. Connor was still grappling to understand where all the time had gone and how his and Addi’s four little ones had gotten to be adults so quickly. But as bittersweet as this may all be, the man was at peace knowing that all four of his children had found happiness in terms of their respective partners and their careers. It was all a parent could ask for.

“Eager, are you?” Laughing, Con came into view, fully dressed. “Ready, my dear,’’ he added as he leaned in and pressed a loving kiss to Addison’s cheek. “Look at you, all dressed up! One glance at you and all the creatures would want you to adopt them.” One of the upsides to having less parental responsibilities is that he could have more time with his wife, something which he fully intended on taking advantage of. Con opened the house’s front door. “After you, Addison.”

And no… even after all this time, he still referred to her by her full name for some reason; it was a habit that he noted that Reagan had picked up. She never called Christopher by any shortened name.

Kolyander 03-09-2024 01:59 PM

Was that what he thought? Oh, her sweet sweet husband. Her mama heart was very much broken that nearly almost all of her little babies had moved out of the family home. She just happened to be better at hiding it than he was. Someone in their family needed to be the strong one and that someone was her this time. And that was okay.

"I am, we don't want everyone else to get all the best ones," she laughed, her tone stating that this was very much a joke. "Why, does it take you so long to get ready, hm?" All he had to do was toss on trousers and a shirt. Another playful tease. "Maybe that's the idea! The more we bring back home with us.. the less time we'll have to be bored." And be lonely but she wasn't going to say that out loud. Conner need not worry, all of her attention was his. Well all of it that wasn't about to go towards the new addition to their family. "Thank you," Addi smiled warmly at him, stepping outside and waiting on the other side of the doorway for him. It was something she always did, waiting close by for him so they could walk side-by-side.

After all these years, she didn't even notice anymore. That was something she had grown used to very quickly.

FearlessLeader19 03-14-2024 11:49 PM

That was what he S-A-W, actually. Con knew that Addison was hurting and grappling to deal with the trio of babies {because they would always be their parents’ babies} moving out but he thought that she was handling it way better than he was. She had always been the more mature one, his Addison, and he loved her for that.

“I don’t believe a word of that. I’ll stick to my theory that you just want to be there first because you’re overly excited.’’ Connor grinned because yes, he did know his wife extremely well. A gentle soul like her would not look for the best creature; he was quite sure that Addison would be quite content to bring home one that needed extra care because it was old or something of the sort. “Because I have to look my best, of course! You never know whom I may attract.” Con grinned wickedly but this wife of his knew he was only joking about wanting to attract anyone else’s attention.

“That wouldn’t be so bad if we didn’t have to go to work five days a week.” Con was thankful for his work as an Unspeakable at the Ministry; it helped to keep his mind occupied for the most part. Once they had both stepped into the open, the door was locked. Con breathed in the fresh, crisp morning air. Yup, it was going to be a good day. He fell in step beside Addison. “Off we go,’’ he said cheerfully.

Kolyander 03-21-2024 11:12 PM

Addi tried. She really did. Some days were tougher than others to move past the fact that more than half of their flock had flown the coupe already and it was only a matter of time before they were all gone off on their own. Well with their significant others/partners that is. Sure, she did he best at holding it all together and being strong but that didn't mean it was easy. This was the hardest thing she had to go through since a time on their lives that she wasn't going to be bringing up as that time was locked away in a vault in her memory to not be spoken of.

"Let's go with that," she laughed. He husband was quite correct I'm his assumption that was she overly excited to get going. This was so true it was hard not to go right to the shelter and adopt an old cruppie right then and there! "Is that so? The only one you better be attracting is a cute sweet little crup," Addison replies, eyeing her husband playfully. She knew he was only teasing but he was hers and she wouldn't have anyone else looking his way. Sorry not sorry.

"Sadly, this is true. If only we could stay home all day now." The blonde loved her job as well but wouldn't it be nice to stay home and do nothing at all sometimes? "This is going to be so much fun. I can feel it. I just know we're going to find the perfect crup for us." A warm smile graced her lips as one of her hands found its way into Connor's as they walked.

FearlessLeader19 03-25-2024 08:17 PM

His wife had always been the strong one. Maybe that was one of the traits that attracted him to her. But one thing was for certain: Connor would always be there for her. Yes. He’d always be right there at her side. He was starting to see this new found freedom as something good for them, not just their kids because they had their own lives now. For him and Addi, it meant that they could have more time together, that they could somewhat be like they had been before Ko came along. Con was definitely trying to keep this positive aspect in his mind as the days came.

The man laughed too - honestly, it had always been so easy to do so when he was with Addison. Anyway, they were definitely sticking with his reasoning it seemed, which was fine with him. He too was excited at the prospect of mulling over which crup to get, or which crup would choose them. Connor allowed himself a huge grin. It was fun to tease Addison even if she knew better than to take it seriously. “We shall see, won’t we?” he asked mysteriously.

“Which is why I’m looking forward to retirement in the future.” Connor still had a lot more work years left in him but he certainly didn’t mind daydreaming about being at home and being lazy. “Yes, we will. Or maybe it will find us,’’ he mused, letting his fingers intertwine with the wife’s.

Kolyander 03-27-2024 01:59 PM

Well that was good, as it was exactly where he belonged. At her side. Since the very day they had met in their first year at Hogwarts they had been at one another's side. Even if Connor hadn't wanted to admit it back then. They had always been quite the team. As for this new found freedom of theirs, it was very nice even if it came at the price of nearly all their children having grown up and moved out on their own. The years had gone by so fast.

"Don't you test me or you might find yourself sleeping on the couch tonight and a crup taking your place in the bed," she told him with a sweet grin. The only hint to show she was playing was the gleam in her eyes showing how she wanted to keep laughing. He was a lucky man that she wasn't a very sensitive woman and she enjoyed joking around with him in such ways.

Addison very much liked her job but retirement was sounding better and better the older she got. "Can we make that come a little sooner?" She was looking forward to doing nothing sometimes. Days where they only watched movies in their pajamas, sat outside in their rocking chairs drinking tea and going for walks with their crup. It sounded so lovely! "Whether we find it or it finds us, this is what we all need." She smiled softly up at him, gently squeezing his fingers as they started their walk.

FearlessLeader19 04-09-2024 11:16 PM

That much was true: Connor had outright refused to admit that he and Addison had always been a team. But that was back then when he was a kiddo, then a stubborn teenager. Looking back, he realised how stupid he was for not allowing himself to admit such a thing. In the end, he did and he felt much better doing so. As for all this newfound free time? Con felt as though he and the wife were back to being youngsters again, before any of their kids had been born.

Ooh, Addison was being playfully feisty! “Okay, okay.” Laughing, the man held up his hands in mock surrender. “My back’s a little too old to handle the couch. That’s the only reason I’m giving in.” He laughed some more, knowing that Addison was joking. And she would know that he was too. Well, maybe except for the whole thing with his back. Aging wasn’t that glamorous!

Con considered the question. “I don’t mind if you would want to retire early. But… I think that I'd want to continue working for a bit longer.” If Addison wanted to stay home with their crup, then he would take care of them. He also could not deny that being retired together was a mighty pretty picture. “You’re right as always,’’ he replied, swinging their hands lightly as they crossed a street. The adoption place was a fair distance but the walk would be nice on this nice sunny day.

Kolyander 04-15-2024 06:40 PM

Oh, yes, Addison remembered those years very well. Such a stubborn boy and teenager he had been. Yet, then again she had had her moments as well and hadn't always given him an easy time. Thankfully Connor had come around and they realized they were meant for one another (she could've told him that much sooner buuuuuut he had to see it for himself!). Sometimes it did feel that way, like they were young again. It was a lovely feeling. But so was having all their children around, and their granddaughters. Now their kids significant others as well. Their family was growing in the best of ways.

Okay, now it was time for her to join in on the laughter. How could she not when he said things like that? Even if she knew some of it were true. "Hmm, you're very lucky that I know this to be a fact. Neither of us have ever spent a full not on that couch (not purposely) and we won't be starting now." The blonde smiled warmly at her husband. It was nice that they could still joke around like this.

Addison looked over at Connor when he answered her. "Well, I don't really know if I'm ready to fully retire just yet.. I haven't really thought too much about it before." There was always the option of cutting down on the hours she worked so she was still doing the job she loved only not all day, everyday. The swinging of their hands made her smile even more as they walked side by side. The distance didn't matter on such a beautiful day.

FearlessLeader19 04-18-2024 12:42 AM

Connor liked to think that he was still stubborn but over the years, he had mellowed out mostly. There was no shame in that. In fact, he thought that being less that way made his life easier. After all, it had been his own stubbornness that had led him to not admitting his feelings for Addison earlier. But that was all water under the bridge now; he had lived and learned. Thankfully, none of the children seemed to have inherited it… maybe except for Reagan. At least the level she possessed hadn’t been as high as his. And hopefully the grandkids would continue this trend of inheriting Addison’s sweet nature.

The delight of his wife’s wonderful laugh had not gotten old to this day. Con still quite enjoyed making her laugh even if it were mainly for the selfish reason of him being able to hear it. “Thank you for your understanding, dearest. I don’t know however my poor back would have survived it.” Now he too was laughing. It was such a joy to be out and about with both of them being in such excellent spirits.

“That’s fair,’’ Connor replied understandably. “There’s still lots of time to mull things over.” In the end, it was all up to Addison; he’d simply support whatever decision she made. “Look, we’re almost there.” He nodded his head towards the pet shop just a corner away.

Kolyander 04-22-2024 12:08 AM

Was he stubborn? Addison honestly didn't think so very much anymore. Those years when she had to constantly talk him into things were long past them. A little stubbornness every now and again wasn't a terrible thing but they had grown up and raised a family, four beautifully perfect adult kids. Only time would tell how the rest of the family would fair on the stubborn meter.

"You're quite welcome that I'm much too nice to you," Addison continued to laugh for a moment longer, smiling warmly at her husband. It was so nice to be having a silly moment where they could simply joke and laugh with one another.

Addi smiled. "Plenty of time to consider what I'd like to do and I'm in no rush to decide." Whether or not she continued to keep working wasn't a super important decision that needed to be made right away anyhow. They had other things to decide first. Like which crup to adopt. "Don't slow down now then," she laughed, gently tugging him along the rest of the way. Was he as excited as she was?!

FearlessLeader19 04-29-2024 11:59 PM

If anyone were to notice any personality trait change in him, no matter how subtle, it would be Addison. She knew him best. He doubted that even his parents {had they been around} would have known him the way Addison did. “As you have always been,’’ Con remarked, grinning. She always had been, from their initial meeting as first years at Hogwarts. “I doubt you know how to be mean to me or anyone else.” It was his way of reminding Addison that she was a wonderful person with the purest of hearts.

In addition to being super nice, the wife was extremely wise. “When the time’s right, the answer will simply come to you.” Whatever it was, it would be right for her; it would be an answer that would make her happy. “Me? As if!” And to prove that he wasn’t being a slowpoke, Con put on an extra burst of speed that allowed him to keep up with Addison. Before they know it, they would be entering that shelter, ready to meet the latest member of the Anders family!

Kolyander 05-01-2024 03:35 PM

Well, it should be her, shouldn't it? They had known one another since they were eleven and they had been through quite a lot together. "And I always will be." Addison smiled right back at him. "I can so be mean if I need to be but I've never seen a reason for it." Where would being mean get her in life if she didn't have to be that way?

"I sure hope so," she answered softly. Deciding whether or not to work anymore was a big decision and she wanted it to be the right one. "Yes, you!" More laughter slipped past Addison's lips as she continued to hurry along the rest of the way to the shelter. "Was this place always this big?" It had never looked this big before and they had walked past this place many times over the years. The blonde reached out a hand to open the door and let them both inside.

Where did they even start?!

FearlessLeader19 05-08-2024 01:24 AM

There was no questioning Addison about if she meant that she always would; Connor knew her word would be kept. “Uh huh. Sure.” His tone was teasing and one of disbelief. Addison was perhaps the gentlest person he knew, aside from Jude and Keighley, that is. “Don’t worry about it,’’ Connor remarks reassuringly. “You always make the right decisions.” He gave the wifey’s hand an affectionate squeeze. Truly, no one was better at thinking through situations and arriving at the best outcome. This was definitely why he and their kiddos had always let Addison in whenever something was bothering one of them.

“I think they might have done some renovations to get the place bigger,’’ Con mused as he stepped into the shelter. He was immediately greeted by the various sounds of creatures the place kept. After letting one of the assistants know that he and Addison were there to see some crups, they were lead to the area that housed the forked tail creatures.

“There are so many,’’ he exclaimed, looking at all the crups wagging their tails and giving happy barks. Oh, this was going to be a tough decision of which to choose!

Kolyander 05-08-2024 08:44 PM

"Are you doubting me? Must I prove to you how mean I can actually be?" Addi turned her blue eyes onto him now, a strong playfulness gleaming brightly within them. He was lucky that her attention was turned onto the soft affectionate squeeze given to her hand and his kind loving words. Wherever would she ever be without him at her side? Connor might not know it but Addison relied on him just as much. Always had. They were a family who could always turn to one another.

As she stepped inside the shelter, the blonde nodded. "It really looks that way. For a shelter, it really doesn't look that way, does it?" Being lead towards the crups by one of the assistants, it gave Addi the chance to really see how the creatures were kept. Each one had their own space which was spotless and such a nice size! This made her happy about them deciding to come here to find their little fur baby.

"I wasn't expecting so many.. maybe five or six but this..." Consider her already overwhelmed! How was her sweetly loving mama heart ever going to choose only one? She already wanted to play with and cuddle them all!

FearlessLeader19 05-19-2024 12:44 PM

Such playfulness!

This is the sort of thing that kept their relationship going. “Nope. No need to unleash that side of you, ma’am,’’ Connor responded seriously, completely surrendering. Addison needed to be her sweetest today so that the couple may attract all the crups. But she was right: they had built a family that would always help each other.

Connor could understand the shelter getting bigger. Humans discarded so many creatures that it was disgusting. But it was impossible to think such negative thoughts when there were all those happy faces looking up and barking at them! “And we’ll be able to give one of them a home,’’ Con replied to Addison. He approached one of the crups which immediately set about trying to jump about to lick his face. “They’re so friendly!’’ he remarked in wonder.

Kolyander 05-20-2024 09:35 PM

It wasn't all of the time that her playfulness got to shine through so much anymore so whenever she got the chance, she tended to enjoy that moment to the fullest. "If you're sure, I'll reign that side of me in right now.." Addison laughed, giving her husband a loving smile. He needs not worry, they would attract so many crups he would be regretting having such a beautiful loving wife.

As true of a reason that may be, this woman would NOT be allowing thoughts such as those to slip into her mind right now. Only happy thoughts were allowed. And how could anyone not be happy with all of these little cuties barking excitedly at them and wagging their tails! "How are we supposed to chose?" She had just knelt down near two smaller crups, one that was already trying to climb onto her lap and another that was bringing over its toy. This was going to be such a difficult choice to make!

FearlessLeader19 05-25-2024 10:06 PM

Addison’s playfulness certainly brought added happiness to Connor’s life, and he always savoured the moments when they came forth. He smiled ‘gratefully’ in thanks that his dear wife would not let the extreme side of her be known.

Not that it mattered because one could not be anything but happy when crups were involved.

“I haven’t a clue,’’ Connor replied, already in love with each little creature here. “Maybe we should take them all.” That was just a joke! Whether it be one or all they took home, he and Addison were sure to be rather occupied. The man actually collapsed on the floor and allowed the crup hounding him to lick his face. Soon, more crups tumbled into his lap. “This is going to be the most difficult decision of our lives, Addison.” It was clear she wasn’t faring any better than he was with being run over with affection.

Kolyander 05-29-2024 03:09 PM

Really, if Addison thought about it, did she even have an extreme side? Probably not. There wasn't a mean bone in the blonde woman's body. Or perhaps there was and she has never been pushed to the point of having to show that side of her. Thankfully. Being her usual self was exactly what she liked best. Plus happiness was what was going to help them find the perfect crup for their family.

"Take them all? Don't go giving me ideas now when you know that we can't," Addi laughed. Her husband was right though, this wasn't going to be easy. How were they ever going to decide? Just look at him being lick attacked by those precious fur babies! The sight of it made her smile even more than she already. "I know we agreed on just one.. but what if we adopted two? That way we both get to pick one today.. AND whenever we're not home the little one wouldn't be all alone because it would have a friend?" What did he think? It might be more work but maybe it would be a good thing at the same time.

FearlessLeader19 06-16-2024 10:48 PM

Addison definitely did not have that sort of side in her. After being married to her for so many years and knowing her for even more, made him certain of the fact. Also, her level of good naturedness did help to prove his point. “I agree. On second thought, our kiddos might think we substituted them out with crups.” In his opinion, that was one of the best comparisons that could be made, one of the best creatures that could ‘replace’ his four children.

“That’s a brilliant idea but are you sure? I mean, we don’t want to overwhelm ourselves when there are times we need to work late or anything like that.” But already Connor, now being nipped at on the ear and being drooled upon, was taken with the idea. “Then again, if we do that, it means we each get to choose one.” That was fair, was it not?

Kolyander 06-18-2024 08:14 PM

Oh, thank the heavens for that! Addison wasn't even the type that wanted others to think of her as a mean person. She was very much the motherly sort, and not just because she raised four wonderful kids and was now a grammy to beautiful little twin girls. "Well that's not our fault most of them have moved away. For so many years we've had children in our home.. they can't blame us for missing all the chaos." She was totally willing to use this argument should the kids have a problem with it!

Addison took one look at her husband being nibbled on by a crup and getting himself drooled all over and couldn't hold back her laughter. "I know there's a chance that we get busy still at times but then the little crup won't be left at home all alone." Could he imagine the poor crup home by itself for hours and hours? No? Good because neither could she. "We can do this. We've raised four fantastic children." Not the same thing but close enough, yes? Addi smiled. "Of course. The question is... Which one would you pick?"

FearlessLeader19 07-01-2024 07:21 PM

Connor laughed heartily. Honestly, his wife could be so hilarious. But she did have a point about three of their four kids moving out. Not that Addi and Con blamed them for wanting lives of their own. “I think the only reason Reagan’s stayed with us this long is because she feels sorry that we’ll be alone.” Because from what he could see from her relationship, his daughter was quite taken with Chris. “Won’t they all be surprised when we bring two of these furbabies home?”

Connor did not need any further convincing. Addison’s top-notch reasoning made a lot of sense to him. Not to mention she was right: they had raised great kids! “You’re right as usual,’’ the man remarked before turning his attention back to the crups. Hmmm… which of these indeed? “I think…” He picked up the one nipping his ear. “I’ll go with this one.” He looked sadly at the others around him. “I’m sorry, little fellas. I hope you get good homes soon.”

Kolyander 07-02-2024 08:55 PM

The husbands laughter was music to her ears and brought an even brighter smile to her face. "Really? Do you think so? I really do hope that isn't a reason for her.. I don't want us to hold her back from living her life like her siblings are." It was a sweet of their eldest daughter but also if she was ready to move out on her own, Addi understood. Perhaps they were getting these little furbabies at the best time. "They sure will. Might even turn one of their bedrooms into a room for the crups." Her eyes shone mischievously at the thought of the little crups having their own room.

And just like they had raised four incredible children, they could tend to two little crups. "I'm so glad that you agree. They'll be so happy with us." Addison smiled at the first chosen crup, reaching out to give it a little head scratch between the ears. "Aren't you a little cutie." She looked at all the others and sighed softly. "Don't any of you worry, you'll all have homes in no time." How could they not with how precious they all are?! Addi scooped up the one that came running at her with a little red ball in its mouth. "What about you little one, do you want to come home with us too?" Her eyes turned onto Connor and the crup he was holding to see what they both thought.

FearlessLeader19 07-14-2024 11:49 PM

Connor honestly thought that that was a factor in Reagan’s decision. She had never spoken of it, and he had never asked {maybe he should}. “I think she’ll make that decision when she’s ready but if it makes you feel better, we can discuss it with her.” The man laughed again. “We can do a spin the bottle - like scenario, transform the room then send them the pictures.” His eyes mirrored Addison’s mischievousness. He knew their kids well enough to know that they would not mind, whichever room is chosen.

“I really have no doubt about that.” Addison was so happy and content with having two crups, how could he not agree to her request? “We should encourage our friends to adopt,’’ Con remarked as he looked around at the other crups. “Even ask the kids if they’re ready to have any pets as yet…” If they were, he and Addison could recommend these crups.

“I think that one is ready to go with us as well.” Smiling, he indicated to the staff about which two would be taken. The one he had chosen had now scrambled over to Addison to meet its sibling. “Shall we go fill out the paperwork then?” he asked Addison, leaving the staff to round up the other crups.

Kolyander 07-17-2024 08:30 PM

Oh, dear Merlin that sweet child. Addison so hoped that wasn't the case at all. "No, no, I wouldn't want to put her on the spot like that. Whenever she's ready she'll let us know like you've said." They're children always know what's best for them. The woman laughed out loud at the suggestion. "Or we could always redo all of their bedroom, make a study, a playroom for the crups, perhaps a workout room?" Was she being serious, who really knows but the ideas now running through her head were plenty.

She smiled. "Now that is a fantastic idea. Helping a few more of these sweet babies get homes would be a delight." Between their friends and large family, someone had to want an adorable crup! How could they say no after seeing the ones Connor and she would be bringing home?

"I think you're right," Addi laughed, watching the two crups playing together already. "Lookit them getting along so well." This was so heartwarming. Each moment here made her more proud of their decision to adopt their crups. "Yes, let's. The sooner we do that, the sooner we can get the two of them to their new home and start getting them settled in." This was so exciting!

FearlessLeader19 07-30-2024 01:27 AM

Connor was inclined to agree. His and Addison’s children knew that they could easily discuss anything with them, in any case. “That’s the best course of action, I think.” With the subject of Reagan’s living arrangements put to rest, Connor raised his eyebrows in sheer amusement at the wife. “I can already hear their protests, especially Keighley and Jude,’’ he remarked in between soft laughter. Sure, their kiddos would L-O-V-E those ideas, Addison!

“Great! We’ll spread the word soon then.” Connor really did feel lighter now that there was an action plan to help the rest of the crups. His and Addisons selected two certainly were getting along well, which probably had to do with the fact they had been living together. “Let’s go then.” Connor followed another staffer and soon enough, he was filling out those papers. Halfway through, the first staffer met them, handing Addison the two leashed crups.

Kolyander 07-30-2024 09:23 PM

With the two of them in agreement on this, all Addi could do was nod her head. All they could do was trust in their children like they always have. Her husbands laughter didn't help any, in fact it only made her laugh along with him happily. "The two that have already left home can complain all they like," she replied, her tone full of nothing but teasing. "They can always share with our fur babies." Who could resist cuddling with some adorable crups, hm?

"Once we're home and our newest little ones are all settled in." Them they could spread the word to anyone and everyone about where they got their adorable babies and how they could get their own too! This was probably true but it still made Addison very excited to see that the crups they had selected were great friends already. Following right behind him, she was all too happy to help get the paperwork properly filled out.. at least until one of the staff members returned with their crups on leashes and all ready to go. "Aaww, look at the two of you! Who's ready to go home? Are you both ready to start your new lives?"

FearlessLeader19 08-08-2024 02:22 AM

Connor finished up the paperwork, leaving Addison to get more familiar with the new members of the family. He was done in no time, however, and he took one of the leashes and the goody bags for the crups. “Let’s go get these little ones settled in then!” It was a task Con was very keen on. He held the door open for Addison then followed her out.

Scene 21:
February of 2114: Olivia and Keigh are having a movie night at Liv’s place, but little does she know that Keigh has some tough news to break to her.

Characters:
Keighley Anders (Kolyander)
Olivia McDean (FearlessLeader19)

“I have no idea what I want to watch,’’ Liv declared, settling back on the couch and fidgeting with its remote so that the base of it rose to elevate her feet. “Horror? No… comedy? Action? What do you think, babe? We’ll go with whatever you like since I’m so undecided.” Olivia was in good spirits this evening, an evening which happened to smell of the wonderful aroma of popcorn. A large bowl of it, mixed with M&Ms was sitting on a table before the young women. Said table was filled with other assorted goodies.

“Here.” Liv handed the TV’s remote to Keigh so she could busy herself by digging into the bowl of popcorn. She was famished!

Kolyander 08-09-2024 02:44 PM

Movie nights with the girlfriend were some of her favorite nights, however, Keigh was feeling a little anxious tonight. There was something very important that she needed to speak with Liv about and she honestly wasn't sure how the other was going to handle it other than badly. Which could only mean, this blonde was dreading the conversation that seriously needed to happen tonight.

So this light-hearted complaining from her love about not knowing what to watch, was a very much needed happy distraction. "Why isn't there a movie with all of those things in it?" A funny horror movie that was also filled with some action? Now that would be interesting. The blonde settled herself on the couch beside Liv, propping her legs up on top of the other woman's with a small grin. Yep, she did that.

Accepting the remote with one hand, her other reached into the popcorn bowl, brushing against the back of Liv's with a smile. "I don't know what to watch. If you make me choose we're going to end up watching a Disney movie, you know that," she laughed. Maybe they could watch something cute with songs they could sing to and she could momentarily forget that she had something she needed to tell Liv? It could work for a little while, right?

FearlessLeader19 08-14-2024 01:29 AM

Now, Olivia usually sensed whenever something was off with Keighley but for some reason, that wasn’t the case at the moment. She was perhaps too wrapped up in the happiness and contentment of having another quiet evening together. Or maybe it was the aroma of all the snacks. Or maybe she did know something was coming, something that involved him and she was trying her hardest to will whatever it was away.

“Hmmm. I could check if you want, by typing in the words ‘action’ and ‘comedy’ in the search bar.” But Keigh had a fair point: A Disney movie was always a classic for a movie night. “The Lion King? The animated version, not the live action. I haven’t seen that in a while.” With her hand that wasn’t filled with popcorn, Liv massaged Keigh’s legs absently. “Also, you’d better dig into snacks before they’re all eaten by the Snack Monster.” Also known as Olivia Ophelia McDean.

Kolyander 08-14-2024 09:58 PM

Yes, Liv usually did. On an other day that young woman's game was right on par when it came to Keigh. However for some reason the cards appeared to be in this blondes favor, at least for the moment. Whether her love was ignoring things or Keigh was just that good at hiding her feelings tonight, the truth would come to light soon enough. It was always better to get things out in the open.

"You could but I really don't think it's necessary." It was always easiest to go with what they already knew. One could never go wrong with a Disney movie. "Oooh, perfect! It's been a little while since I've seen that one myself." She loved herself some little Simba and Nala! It was time to get her singing on! That hand on her leg got her attention as quickly as the mention of snacks did. "Excuse you Miss, you eat all of this and you'll be going into the kitchen and getting us more," she grinned, reaching her hand into the bowl for a large handful of popcorn and M&Ms. Nomming on a bit of popcorn, Keigh quickly clicked through the apps on the remote to put on their chosen movie and hit play. Movie time!

Their all important talk could wait a tiny bit longer, yeah?

FearlessLeader19 08-17-2024 11:33 PM

Whatever would come, Olivia would face it but not at this moment. This moment was reserved for lightly bantering about their movie choice for this evening. However, this banter was now resolved as a movie was settled upon. Yay! The only aspect of said movie Liv disliked was the moment Mufasa died. Aside from the death being incredibly sad, seeing little Simba heartbroken and scared was just too much. “Aw, man!” Liv pouted playfully. “I guess I had better pace myself then.” The Chaser would be way too lazy to remake snacks. Truthfully, she had made enough for both her and Keighley and Liv realised she really did need to pace herself lest she was overcome with a bout of food coma.

She settled happily against her seat, hitting the button that activated the back massage. Back massages were lovely after being on a broomstick for an extended period of time. Absently tapping on Keigh’s leg, she focused on the screen.

Yes, whatever was coming can wait for a tad longer.

Kolyander 08-20-2024 07:08 PM

When that time came, Liv wouldn't have to face it alone. Keighley might be the one dropping some heavy news tonight but she would also be the one to hold the girlfriend together and assure her that all would be the same. But yes, the movie was now on and this blonde would agree that Mufusa's passing was the saddest part of the movie. It did bring Simba some new friends though and lots of personal growth. "That or at the very least share," Keighley laughed softly. Good thing there was more than enough snacks scattered around them both for several movies to be watched!

She settled very comfortably against Liv's side, her head leaning against her shoulder as she watched the movie. "Isn't Simba precious when he's first born! So small and sweet." Yes, she was one of those that would definitely want to pick up the tiny lion cub and give him a cuddle. Good thing this was only a movie!

As for those fingers tapping on her leg, Keigh gently took hold of Liv's hand and wrapped her fingers around the other young woman's giving it a small squeeze.

FearlessLeader19 08-22-2024 11:55 PM

Olivia would need all of that holding together when the time came. Whatever her reaction, she would need it very dearly. With regard to the snacks, of course it had been settled that there would be lots of sharing. It was the way it always was between these two. As Keigh leaned against her, Liv gently booped her head against the other girl’s.

“He is! Such a cutie.” And the way his parents and all the other animals fell in love with him the moment they set their gaze on him? It was priceless. “Small and sweet like you,’’ Liv remarked truthfully and bobbing her head. She was also making a mental note to research zoos of the next country she would be visiting for her Quidditch matches. And she’d even check good old Britain too! Olivia would find a zoo where there were lion cubs and she’d take Keighley there. Yes, it was a great idea and she was already excited to get started on her plan.

With their fingers now intertwined, Liv returned the gentle squeeze in contentment.

Kolyander 08-23-2024 11:22 PM

Keighley would hold Liv together for as long as the other girl needed her to. Even if that was for the rest of time. All the love and reassurance was going to be given constantly. Them sharing snacks though, Keigh knew she was going to be sooooo stuffed by the end of the night. There was never any shortage of yummy treats when they watched movies together. The gentle boop of Liv's head against hers made her laugh softly, the girlfriend was so silly.

"The cutest! I just want to pick him up and cuddle him." Now how precious would that be?! Cuddling a little lion cub. "Me? Are you still saying that I'm tiny?" The blonde pretended she had no idea that she was indeed still on the shorter side of the two of them. Oooh, how fun! They could go visit ALL of the zoos together! They could watch the lions and the Cubs play and it would be the best time! Consider this girl all for it and she didn't even know of the plans yet.

Keigh happily held Livvy's hand in her eyes, blue eyes fixed on the TV screen as the movie played. She really didn't want to ruin such a lovely night.

FearlessLeader19 08-30-2024 12:04 AM

If there was one thing Liv knew, it was that Keighley always took care of her heart. So she knew she was in good hands for any and all unfavourable news. And it was true that there was no shortage of snacks during movie time or any other time as both girls needed their calories to burn while participating in their respective sporting activities.

Liv wasn’t sure if Keigh would be allowed to cuddle a real lion cub but her reaction made Olivia far more determined that she get to see one at least once. “Yes, I am,’’ the older young woman replied, her eyes on the television but her voice full of humour. It was true: in her mind, the girlfriend was always a small one. Not that she minded as it just made Keighley perfect to cuddle.

Olivia simply kept her focus on the movie, enjoying each minute of it.

Kolyander 09-06-2024 08:48 PM

True. True. Very very true. Liv was so smart, so trusting, so beautiful. There wasn't anything about her that Keigh didn't love. This is why it was so difficult sometimes to share news that she knew was going to upset her. Yet, it was going to have to be done. Right this minute though, this young woman was going to eat those snacks like they were all going out of style.

Hmm. As much as Keighley would LOVE to snuggle an adorable little baby lion cub, she could understand if that wasn't possible. Annnnnnnnd.... GASP! Soft blue eyes went wide and Keigh couldn't keep herself from playfully poking Liv in the side. "It's not my fault that you're taller than I am." Nope, she wasn't going to laugh!

The movie was currently being watched in between some playfulness and lots of snacking. The time was coming however for her to finally speak up and tell Liv what she needed to tell her.

FearlessLeader19 09-11-2024 02:29 AM

No matter the type of news, especially bad news that involved either herself or Keighley, Olivia would always prefer to hear it from the girlfriend rather than anyone else. It might soften the blow. MIGHT, was the key word there. Feeling the poke in her side, Liv moved her gaze from the television to Keigh. She squirmed with laughter at the same time because… that tickled! She prodded the other woman back just once in the tummy. “Nope, it’s not. It’s all in the genes.” Liv grinned. “I’m quite happy you’re a shortie.”

It might be just her but the movie seemed to be going along at quite a fast pace. Then again, it was just about an hour and a half in length. Perhaps after she and Keigh were done here, Liv would finally get around to folding and putting away that load of laundry that had been done. Even with magic, the chore was a bothersome one.

Kolyander 09-11-2024 03:56 PM

When any type of news was to be given, Keighley would always step up and deliver it herself. No matter, good of bad. It was her news to tell and anything about it was going to come from her. A small smile formed on her lips at hearing Liv laugh, however when she was poked back in return well.. that simply resulted in her flailing about and giggling right away. "Hey!" Playful swatting hands happened to keep anymore pokey fingers from getting her again even though she had been the one to start this game. "Well that's good because I rather enjoy it myself." Being short had its perks.

The movie did appear to be moving along rather quickly. Perhaps that was because the chat that was going to happen soon was one she didn't want to have. Laundry, hm? Keigh didn't mind helping out with that. If they worked on the chore together it would get done twice as fast. The blonde glanced over at her love and smiled.

FearlessLeader19 09-17-2024 02:13 PM

Olivia could always count on Keighley to do what's right. This was usually the case with Hufflepuffs, and her Hufflepuff in particular. Oh, Liv would definitely let her fingers attack the little one with more pokes later on; the only reason she held off for now was so that they could continue enjoying the movie - and the snacks.

Catching Keigh’s smile, Liv returned it just as the credits started to roll. “That was a lovely rewatch,’’ she commented, stretching her arms above her head. “Maybe we can rewatch all of the Disney movies eventually. Live action and animated.” Cue more stretching from Olivia. “Okay, enough of being lazy for me. I’m just going to go clean up these dishes.” She tickled the bottom of Keighley’s feet to get her to move them off of her.

Kolyander 09-19-2024 07:41 PM

So was the way of a Hufflepuff. It couldn't be helped. The sunny sweet disposition was so her, it wasn't even funny. Keighley couldn't do wrong even if she tried.. not that she would every want to. And when that time came, she would hopefully be ready to counter with all the pokes of her own.

The young woman's smile grew at the suggestion. "I love that idea. If we're going to watch the animated and live versions we'll have to watch those ones back to back so we can compare them." Only for fun of course. Despite all of the girlfriends stretching, Keigh didn't move at all. Well not until her feet were being tickled anyhow. There was immediate playful kicking of her feet while she giggled. "Heeeeey! Rude!" Flail!

Can those dishes wait a minute? I want to talk to you about something first..." Yup, it was gonna be now or never.

FearlessLeader19 09-21-2024 06:36 PM

“Now that’s a great idea,” Olivia remarked enthusiastically. “I may be a little biased though since I do love animated movies.” Was it childish? Maybe, but they certainly made her happy so that was a win in her book. “That means that our next movie night we’ll watch the live action Lion King.” Liv was prepared for those natural reflexive kicks. With laughter, she prodded the bottom of Keigh’s feet once more. “I beg your pardon? It’s fun! Fun for me, that is.” It one hundred percent was!

And there it was.

The moment Olivia had sensed would be coming.

“Sure they can. What’s up?” She put on a nonchalant expression though her heart was hammering away.

Kolyander 09-25-2024 05:02 PM

Keigh smiled. "Isn't it?!" What fun they were going to have watching all of these movies. It also made things much easier when it came to movie selections for awhile. "Well so do I but I'll do my best to be fair." Some of the live action movies were pretty good. "Yup, and since we already know what we'll be watching.. we can make snacks to go with the movie." Childish, maybe but still really a lot of fun. Keighley was just as prepared. Prepared with peels of laughter and more flailing! "Livvy!" Playful kicky feet.

Sorry! She didn't want this moment to come up but it had to.

There was a soft but deep sigh, Keigh shifting slightly now to sit up a little bit. "Well.. there's no real easy way of telling you this so I'm just going to say it.. Charlie asked me to marry him and I said yes." It was always best to get all the information out there right away, yes? Give it a moment to sink in before she said anything more. Because she knew she was going to have to make sure Liv knew that it wasn't going to change things between the of them at all.

FearlessLeader19 10-13-2024 03:25 PM

All playfulness and banter aside, Olivia was ready for whatever it was to come. She sat there looking expectantly at Keighley. That sigh that came from the girlfriend was not actually reassuring. If anything, it just made Olivia’s anxiety go up a notch. Her breath was held as she steeled herself and gave Keigh her undivided attention.

And there it was.

At first, Olivia felt nothing. It was sort of like when you stubbed a toe; the pain took about a second to sink in. So when the pain from Keighley’s words caught up with her, she felt every bit of it. It led to her being silent for a moment, and suddenly she wanted to be by herself. “That’s fine. I wouldn’t expect you to say no.” And with those words, she got to her feet to begin the cleanup.

Kolyander 10-16-2024 09:28 PM

Keighley hadn't meant to hike up Liv's anxiety the way she had before she had even said anything. But she could tell from the way she was being watched that the girlfriend knew this was a serious matter.

Now that it was out in the open, Keigh didn't expect.. that. Well she did, sorta. The moment of silence as everything had sunk in was expected, it was... Normal. The calm reply followed by Livvy getting up and walking off, now that wasn't expected. And she couldn't leave it this way.

"Liv? Liv.. come talk to me. We have to speak about this." Keigh reached out a hand to grab one of the girlfriends before she could rush off and be on her own.

FearlessLeader19 10-20-2024 08:00 PM

Of course Keigh hadn’t meant to cause her any anxiety, and Olivia didn’t blame her. It was just there had been a vibe in the air all night; yes, she knew her girlfriend well enough to know when something serious was going on. Liv knew that they should sit and talk together, talk about how Liv was feeling and what-not but she wasn’t feeling it.

All she wanted was to be alone.

Her hand was caught but she didn’t meet Keighley’s eyes. She just couldn’t. “I’d like to be alone, Keigh. Please. I’m not ready to talk about this.” Liv needed to process and she needed to do this alone.

Kolyander 10-24-2024 09:24 PM

Thank goodness! Keigh never liked hurting Liv, but this couldn't be helped. Not tonight. As much as she has tried to keep everything about tonight light and happy, there had been a cloud hanging over them until the news was told. And now that it was out.. all she could do was what Livvy needed her to do.

Keigh bit her bottom lip when Liv didn't even look at her, her hand gently dropping from the girlfriends arm. "Okay.. I- Not too long please because we should talk about it... " She understood and respected the need to be alone though and would honor that. If Liv needed space, Keigh would give her all the space and time she could manage.

FearlessLeader19 11-02-2024 08:52 PM

Liv felt relief the moment Keigh let go of her. She didn’t hate the girlfriend; it was impossible to. It was just… well, she needed time to herself. Not just needed; Olivia was certain she needed the entire night to let this news sink in. “We will talk about it. I’m just not ready to.” If they carried on that talk now, nothing was going to get through to Olivia. Absolutely nothing so it was simply for the best for her to be alone.

“I think I’ll need the entire night so if you wanted to go to your parents’ place or Jude’s? Or even to… his. That’s fine. I just want to be alone.” Olivia still would not look at Keighly as she picked up the last of the dishes and proceeded to venture into the kitchen.

Kolyander 11-04-2024 10:19 PM

Why was it it that she could actually feel the see the relief in Liv's face when she let go of her? It was terrible. Keighley knew it would be hard when she told Livvy about the engagement but... She didn't think it would go this way. "Whenever you're ready.." Hopefully soon but she wouldn't push her luck.

As for this. Merlin help her please. This she hadn't expected at all. Yet.. of Liv really needed her to not be here for the night, Keigh could respect that. "I really would rather not leave you alone but I understand. I'll call you tomorrow ummm you can let me know when you're ready to talk to me..." Until then she would go to Jude's or maybe her parents.

FearlessLeader19 11-21-2024 12:56 AM

Later, Olivia would regret that feeling of relief. Of course she loved Keighley’s hold… just not in that moment. It was too painful. “Thank you for understanding,’’ Liv replied stiffly and not sounding at all like herself. “I’ll let you know when I’m ready. Probably won’t be too long… just not tonight.” But it seemed like the matter was settled for now, which was another relief. “I’ll be fine. And I’ll let you know for sure when I’m ready to.”

Without another glance at Keighley, because Liv was sure she’d break down completely, she headed for the kitchen. Once she was sure Keigh had left, she’d allow herself to dissolve in tears and worry that the love of her life was possibly being taken away from her forever.

Kolyander 11-21-2024 06:09 PM

Scene 22:
February of 2114: After her important talk with Olivia, Keighley left and went to see Jude.

Characters:
Keighley Anders (Kolyander)
Ryder Jude Anders (FearlessLeader19)

From the moment Keighley shut the front door to the apartment behind her all she wanted to do was cry. She felt absolutely horrible about the talk she had had with Liv, even if it weren't totally her fault. The conversation needed to happen, there was no way she couldn't have been honest with one of her loves. It just broke her heart that she couldn't be with Livvy right now, holding her tightly and talking this through. Explaining how nothing would really change at all between the two of them. But she understood that the girlfriend needed some alone time to digest the news.

Rather than go to Charlie's or even her parents she did the very first thing that popped into her head. She apparated on the spot to Jude's place. It might not have been the smartest way right now but it was certainly the quickest. Arriving only moments later, Keigh made her way to his front door and knocked. If she looked a mess, she couldn't help it. What she needed was to talk it out with Jude. That and a really big hug.

FearlessLeader19 12-06-2024 12:31 AM

Jude had a moment to himself as Davet was off on his evening movie shoots. He would have liked to be on set again but he had been yesterday and as much as he enjoyed watching his husband in character, Jude also wanted to give him space. In any case, he would make sure to have a nice dinner waiting for Dav when he got in. At the moment, Jude was sitting at the piano in the living room, his fingers tapping away at keys. Occasionally, he would pause to make a note in the book beside him. Yes, you guessed it: he was composing a piece.

The knock interrupted him which led him to quickly turn towards the door. That clearly wasn’t Davet, who wasn’t expected until an hour or so later. Besides, his other half had a key to place and would let themself in. Jude got to his feet to check who was there. The moment he saw Keighley, he wrenched the door open.

This big brother knew his little sister well enough to tell immediately that something was off. “Keigh.” His heart began thudding in his chest. “What’s wrong?” Jude asked, reaching for her.

Kolyander 12-07-2024 10:09 PM

Was that piano music she was hearing? Honestly, Keigh couldn't be completely sure. Her brain was in a total fog right now and her heart hurt so much! Jude was home, right? It had suddenly become so quiet that she wasn't sure. And if he wasn't.. well she had no idea what she would do. Only he would know exactly what to say.

The door in front of her was wrenched open so quickly that her blonde head snapped up fast to see her brother standing there. The look on his face told her that he clearly knew she was in distress. Stepping towards him she flung her arms around him tightly, the tears coming hot and fast. Besides her partners Jude was her safe place. "I-I told L-Liv.." Deep breaths were taken between sobs as she clung to him like a little girl. "She n-needed to know ab-about the engagement..." Keighley knew she had done the proper thing by being honest but hurting Livvy the way that she had, it was horrible.

FearlessLeader19 12-15-2024 03:11 PM

It was only natural that Jude knew that Keighley was in distress. What sort of brother would he be if he hadn’t been able to spot that immediately. Before he knew it, he was enveloped in a big hug but it wasn’t the type the siblings usually shared. Those were light and full of warmth; this one was full of sadness. Without wasting a second, Jude hugged Keigh back, holding her tight and not saying anything. When she was ready to speak, she would.

And when she did, Jude knew that she was in tears. His heart was incapable of breaking any further for her so his soul broke when the reason was revealed for her misery. “You did the right thing,’’ he reassured gently. “She’ll come around. I’m guessing she asked you for time to process?” It was exactly what he had needed when his heart had been broken during that time he had been friendzoned by Evan. “Come on in, Keigh. It’s really cold out there. Let's head to the kitchen and I'll make you some hot cocoa.”

Kolyander 12-17-2024 01:12 AM

Let it be known that Jude was the best brother. Okay, Koen was pretty grand too, however Jude was whom she saw on a regular basis and was closest with. Therefore Keigh wouldn't have been surprised if he felt something was off with her before she had even arrived at his door! Perhaps one day she would have to ask him about that. As for right now, the young lady only wanted to melt into her big brothers embrace for as long as she could. Which is exactly what she did, her hold on Jude tightening even more when his own hold on her did.

These tears were completely inevitable. This past hour or so had been so hard on her heart. Through her tears, Keigh managed to nod her head. He was right and she knew that. Liv deserved the truth right away and that's what Keigh gave her.. even if the result of it hurt them both. "Ye-yeah.. I just- I wish I could help her.." Being there for those she loves was what she did best and knowing that there wasn't anything she could do broke her to pieces. There was a small sniffle and a quick sweep of her sleeve at her teary eyes. "Like mums?" What other way was there to make cocoa? None. But she needed to ask anyhow as she followed Jude inside.

FearlessLeader19 12-23-2024 11:36 PM

Jude couldn’t help it if he happened to be both Keigh’s and Reagan’s favourite brother {no offense to you, Ko, but the age gap probably played a vast role in this fact}. He was always there for his sisters even on his busiest days. When Keigh was ready to ask him that particular question… well, he wouldn’t be sure how to answer it with a logical, scientific explanation. He would most likely suggest it was their strong sibling bond that gave them such a strong connection.

“I know you wish you could,’’ Jude said gently. “She’s coping in her own way. If you hadn’t respected her wish of space, Liv most likely would have been impossible to reach. She wouldn’t have heard a single word you would have said.” Leading Keigh to the kitchen, he guided her to one of the seats at the island. “Like mum’s. With lots of marshmallows.” Smiling slightly, he started prepping two cups. “Dav’s out on set at one of his movies but he should be back in an hour or so. I bet he’ll have some ways to help cheer you up as well.” Jude held up two packs of marshmallows, both of the mini type - one plain white and one of a variety of colours. “Which are you in the mood for?”

Kolyander 12-26-2024 10:23 PM

This was simple facts. Especially for Jude and herself. She had always been his little sidekick (shadow). Ha! Keigh could already hear Koen declaring that HE was in fact all their favorites no matter what they believed. Logic? Oooh, sweet Jude. Keigh didn't need logic when it came to how close they were. He could literally tell her the stars told him and she would believe him. Yes, even at her age.

The petite little blonde bit her lip, sighing sadly. How right her big brother was. "That's the very last thing I want for her..." Livvy was her love. Surely she knew as much but right now.. everything was a mess and she knew the other young lady was struggling to see things anyway but badly. Following very closely, it was easy for her to slid onto the stool without any trouble. "Thanks." That really was the only way to drink hot cocoa. And with any luck it would lift her spirits a tiny bit. "I'd really like that a lot." Dav was super special. The way he helped her at times was just like Jude.. so having the two of them look after her for the night would be a huge plus. Without any thought of it, Keigh immediately pointed at the white marshmallows. She wasn't feeling very rainbow-y right now.

FearlessLeader19 12-31-2024 02:37 AM

His shadow wasn’t so little anymore. Actually, she hadn’t been that way for a long while now. But she was still one of those humans he loved immensely; if anything Jude’s love for Keigh had grown over time. “I know. Sometimes the best you can do is respect their wishes for space.” Or so he knew, not from experience with Dav {since they rarely were apart from each other, despite Dav’s work schedules}, but because the sentiment applied to all relationships. “You’ll see, Keigh. Liv will be okay. Maybe not tonight or tomorrow or even in a few weeks, but she’ll come around. She loves you too much to not to.

“No problem. You know I will always be here for you.” It came as no surprise that Keigh chose the white marshmallows. He nodded then set about making two tall mugs of hot chocolate. He had become a pro at it that it did not take him a very long time. “Here you are, Keigh.” The mug was set before her along with some tissues which he knew she would need. “Have you spoken to Charlie tonight?”

Kolyander 01-04-2025 09:31 PM

Not little anymore? Excuse him. She was plenty 'little' still, thank you very much. Not in the way of age or maybe even height buuuuuuut in her mind she was still little. Especially right now. "I know.. but.. it's so difficult. I hate for her to be so upset and all alone..." It break her heart into pieces. Jude was right. Keigh knew he was. There wasn't anyway that this news would shatter the love that Liv and her have for one another. Yet.. it still scared her that Liv could say that she couldn't handle it! "All I can really ask for us that sooner rather than later, she'll be able to talk with me about it..' Talking through it all was the only way she could ensure that Liv knew how she felt.

"You really really are." Keighley nodded. It was a small part of why she was here. Jude never let her down. Her gaze may have fallen to the table at which she currently sat while he prepared those drinks but the second the mug was before her, her fingers curled around it enjoying the warmth it brought it. "Thanks, I needed this." Not just the hot cocoa, all of it.

Charlie! Oh Merlin she hadn't reached out to Charlie! In her state she hadn't wanted to show up at his home and upset him too. "Not yet.. but I should, shouldn't I?' It was only fair that he be filled in on how things had gone.

FearlessLeader19 01-11-2025 08:35 PM

Well, the physical aspect of her being little was very true. Otherwise, Keighley definitely was not. She had grown and matured so wonderfully that the entire family would always be proud of her. “It may seem that way, Keigh,’’ Jude said gently. “And it’s okay to hurt over Liv being that way. Just remember it’s what she wants in the moment. Tomorrow, I bet she’ll let you be there for her.” He then smiled. “You’ll see,’’ he said confidently. “Talking will happen and when it does, it’ll be the productive sort of conversation because she would have had time to let things sink in.”

Jude was truly honoured to be one of those who had never let Keigh down, and it wasn’t something he was going to do, not if he could help it. “You’re welcome.” Smiling still, he pulled up a seat very close to hers, sat down and slipped an arm around her. His shoulder was right there if the baby sister needed to cry some more. “You should but make sure to let him know you’re being taken care of otherwise he’ll worry even more.” Jude summoned his phone with his wand and handed it to Keighley. “Here you go. Drop him a message.”

Kolyander 01-12-2025 10:06 PM

Alright, alright. So she had grown up a lot of recent years. Jude was correct in that fact. Though, there were plenty of moments when Keigh was very much childish. Thankfully for her, neither of her partners minded that about her. "That's what makes it so hard.. knowing that she wants to be alone. Even if I do know that's what's likely best for her right now." Feeling helpless wasn't something she was all that used to. "I hope it's that fast. Tomorrow can't come sooner for me. All I really want is make sure Livvy knows how much she means to me. How truly special she is." That her engagement to Charlie would never change how she feels about Olivia.

Jude wasn't only her big brother, he was her best friend. Her level of truth and faith in him was off the charts. If he told her something, Keigh believed him without any second thought on it. The tiniest of smiles was directed at him as he took a seat beside her. That are around her, she may have needed that even more than the delicious mug of cocoa. A small cautious sip of cocoa was had before she accepted Jude's face. "Don't worry, I will."

Charlie would be getting that text any moment as she was already typing up a simple message to him, letting him know what happened with Liv and that she was with her big brother now.

FearlessLeader19 01-22-2025 12:51 AM

Jude also did not mind Keighley’s childishness! In fact, one could count on the two of them to get doubly childish when they’re together. Sadly, that couldn’t be the case for now, though perhaps later in the evening after she had been able to process her feelings things would change. “I understand. It’s okay and logical that you feel that way.” And Jude really did! He’d be torn to pieces if something upset Dav terribly and Dav didn’t want him around, even for a minute. He’d want to be there for the husband! “It’s get here, maybe not as fast as you like, but it will. Until then you get to hang out with me - and Dav when he gets back. I’d like to think that’s a silver lining.” He gave Keigh a teasing smile, hoping to make her smile at least a little.

Jude nodded and watched Keighley type her message. He may seem calm on the outside, but on the inside? On the inside, this big brother was crying because he hated that his baby sister was hurting. Like her, he couldn't wait for tomorrow when hopefully this all would be sorted out so she could be happy once more. He continued taking drinks out of his hot chocolate as he and Keigh lapsed into brief silence.

Kolyander 02-01-2025 06:44 PM

Well where did he think she got all this childness from? As the younger sister, Keigh clearly learned all that she knew in this category from him. Joking. Maybe. But yes, now wasn't the time for such things. Right now all she could think about was Liv. Even with Jude being super sweet like always. "As much as I love hanging around with you and Dav.. I just want to know that she's alright."

Oh, sweet sweet Jude. Keighley knew. They were similar in that way, he didn't need to show it for her to know he was upset too. With her message to Charlie sent, she resumed cradling the mug of cocoa in her hands. "Anything new with Dav and you?" Perhaps a topic change would be helpful.

FearlessLeader19 02-04-2025 01:22 AM

Jude would be willing to take the ‘blame’ when it came to instilling some of Keigh’s childishness in her. Afterall, the two had been inseparable while growing up. They still were inseparable and Jude liked it this way. Right now, he was tilting his head questioningly. “Do you want to drop her a message too?” He supposed one wouldn’t be bad, he just wanted to make sure Keigh didn’t overdo it with the communication that evening since Olivia wanted to be in her own space.

With the message to Charlie sent, Jude smiled. He was happy to distract the sister with another topic. Or so he hoped because what he was about to tell her might be a touchy subject. “We’ve talked more about having kids. We want to do only adoptions,’’ he began cautiously. “We plan to start in another year or so. I just want to ensure Dav’s settled in with his acting career first. He deserves to do what he does best without being distracted for a bit.” As much as Jude couldn’t wait to be a father, he’d do anything to ensure his the world saw how talented his husband is.

Kolyander 02-05-2025 11:49 PM

How smart of him since she would only insist this was the case anyhow. Yes, they had been and it was true that they still very much were. As much as they could be with each of their separate lives. The question had Keigh shaking her head before she could even give it much thought. "No. She asked for space and I-.. I'm going to respect that." No matter how painful it was.She could reach out through text tomorrow after Liv had a chance to process things a bit more.

Now, if Jude thought this topic was going to upset her, he was surely very wrong. A smile finally tugged at her lips, a small one but it was a smile nonetheless. "To give a child in need a loving home?" This was her assumption of the reasoning as to why this was their decision. Not that it mattered to her which method they used to become parents, the baby was going to be so loved and completely spoiled! Especially by this auntie! Nod nod. Another year. Got it. "You'll let me know everything the entire time?"

FearlessLeader19 02-24-2025 03:55 PM

That’s the thing about the Anders’ family: no matter how busy they were, they somehow found time for each other, even despite the fact of them having separate lives. It inspired Jude in wanting to have a huge family of his own one day, something which Davet supported. He now offered a small, warm smile to Keighley. “You’ve matured so much over the years,’’ he replied after she said she was going to respect Olivia’s request. “I mean, you always were despite being childish. You just matured more.” That childishness was great because it let Keigh enjoy life even more and not to be serious all the time.

Jude’s heart was happy to see that smile. It was a small one but it was a win in his mind. He grinned, nodding. “That’s right. You know I want lots of kids. Between my and Dav’s careers, we’d be able to support them all comfortably. Mum and dad will have plenty of grandkids to keep them occupied.” Plus there would be more in addition to his and Ko's whenever Keigh and Rea had their own. “Of course! You will be the first we tell! In a year, you could be sitting here drinking hot chocolate with at least one new niece or nephew!” How exciting!

Kolyander 02-26-2025 05:12 PM

It was a beautiful thing, to have family that was so close to one another. Spending time with her siblings has always been something Keighley enjoyed, even now as a young adult. "I've always had you in my corner to help me keep my head straight." She didn't know what she would've done if she didn't have Jude to go to. Talking things out is what helped her best and getting a different view on things was always good too.

Despite her sadness, hearing that her big brother was going to be starting a family of his own was fantastic. There really wasn't anyway she could remain sad with such news. "I'll gladly babysit anytime." Seriously, anytime. They could drop off those babies with her and leave! "Mum and dad are going to be so excited!" So spoiled any kids of Jude's were going to be. Okay, now the smile on her face grew at the thought of drinking hot cocoa with another niece or nephew. "I think what you mean is... I'll be right here helping them make a mess out of their hot cocoa." With waaaaaaay too much whipped cream and a TON of marshmallows.

FearlessLeader19 03-15-2025 02:08 PM

“And you will always have me.” This much was obvious but Jude simply wanted to remind Keighley. It was okay if she forgot it during this difficult moment. He didn’t brag but being there for the ones he cared about was one of his super powers, and he was quite ready to share that with new additions to the family. This played a huge part in his and Dav’s decision to begin having kids of their own soon. Jude laughed. “Does that mean you’ll be teaching them MMA moves before they can walk?” he asked, thinking it wouldn’t be such a bad idea. His kids being able to defend themselves would be a big plus!

Then there came another short round of laughter. “They’re going to love that you get messy with them, Keigh!” She might even take the title as ‘Favourite Aunty’ if she kept that up! “All of my kids will be lucky to have you in their lives.”

Kolyander 03-18-2025 09:51 PM

The gentle reminder made her smile softly at him. She could never forgot that but hearing it right now meant a great deal. Jude had nothing at all to worry about! Any children Dav and him had would have the biggest purest hearts. There was no doubt in her mind that the future children would always have their family members backs. It was the Anders way after all.

"I just might!" A soft laugh slipped past her lips. Learning the art of MMA could be useful in sooooo many ways! Not only for defense purposes but also for balance and focus.

Jude's laughter only served in causing Keighley to laugh along with her now, her depressed demeanor slowly falling away the longer she was in her brothers presence. "Kids learn from being messy sometimes!" There was nothing wrong with messy as long as it got cleaned up in the end. As for her being the 'Favorite Auntie', of course she would be! It only made sense since she's Jude's favorite sister. "I can't wait to meet them. Dav and you are gonna be fantastic papa's." Some very lucky kids these were going to be.

FearlessLeader19 03-28-2025 12:56 AM

Jude smiled knowingly. Yes, it was just like Keigh to want to teach his kids MMA. He wouldn’t be complaining though, for it was a useful skill to have even if magic could easily provide many variations of protection.

Goodness!

It certainly was wonderful to hear that laugh! It took him back to his and Keigh’s younger days when they saw each other everyday, when they laughed together so often. Jude felt his heart lighten considerably. “Yes, they do. Providing that you show them how to clean up afterwards, that is.” He smiled innocently as he polished off his drink. Indeed, Keigh was his favourite sister; Reagan might have already figured this out. “Thanks, Keigh! I appreciate you saying that. I know Dav will too.” His sweet Dav. “Now drink up your hot chocolate before it cools.” Sure it could be magically reheated but still...

Kolyander 03-29-2025 01:29 PM

There was so much that MMA could teach someone. Patience, focus and discipline for starters. It could also help with balance and coordination. Not to mention it would give her more time to bond with with them while she taught them. So many good things could come from this.

Oh, Jude. It really was the little things that meant so much. Like laughter. "Nah, I think I'll leave that part up to you." Keigh smiled through her own laughter now, her tone softly and teasing. "Of course we'll clean up after ourselves, Jude." Cleaning up was all a part of what went with making the mess in the first place. Keigh nodded, lifting the mug of cocoa and taking a long sip. "Mm, already sounding like a parent now, aren't you?" No, no, it wouldn't be the same then! Hot cocoa was meant to be finished before it got cold.

FearlessLeader19 04-12-2025 02:50 AM

[color=#FE4164]Jude made a comical face at Keighley. Of course he knew she was kidding; he just enjoyed messing with her. “Thank Merlin I can do those cleaning Charms well so there’s really no need to do things manually.” With that he laughed even before Keigh confirmed that she and the future nieces and nephews would be cleaning up after themselves. “Yes, I am. Congratulations on being the guinea pig.” But did Keigh truly realise that she had literally been the first ‘kiddo’ he had since he had been taking care of her since they were very small?

Scene 23:
June of 2116: Olivia and Keighley will welcome their first child in August 2116. On this first day of summer, they are out and about with the intention of securing the final items for their little girl.

Characters:
Keighley Bergstrand (Kolyander)
Olivia McDean (FearlessLeader19)

Olivia had taken it on herself to ensure that she had lathered her girlfriend with sunscreen; it was a brilliant day but the sun’s rays could easily damaged Keigh’s perfect skin. Not to mention it could drain her energy so she tried to keep Keigh out of it as best as possible. As for Liv, she was full of energy and patience as the couple strolled along, window shopping until they found the perfect they actually wanted to head into. This time around, they were focused on clothing.

“How about that one? I know it’s like a zillion storey’s high but they’re sure to have elevators.” Liv pointed to the building, her other hand still securely holding the pregnant girlfriend’s.

Kolyander 04-29-2025 05:27 PM

It was an absolutely brilliant day! The sun was shining, birds were singing and Keigh was out shopping with her love. There wasn't much better than this these days. Well, unless getting to sit down with her feet up counted? Kidding. While she may be seven months pregnant with their perfect little angel, Keigh still had loads of energy. This she generally chalked up to being in great shape to begin with. But honestly, she was doing really well! Besides being huge that is! And smelling strongly of sunscreen. Thanks, again Livvy!

The blonde stopped short, peering at the extremely large building that had caught her girlfriend's eye. "I'm game of you are. We're bound to find more than what we still need if we visit ALL of the shops inside." This was said with a bright smile and a very knowing grin. There was no doubt that they would be getting more clothing than they would need and surely they would find other things as well. Like stuffies and blankies and little shoes! Let's not forget all the precious hair accessories too! Keigh was so excited!

FearlessLeader19 05-21-2025 01:23 AM

Keighley had continued to be an absolute doll throughout these seven months and Liv expected that the trend would continue. Naturally, Leigh was welcomed to be grumpy and hormonal but that was difficult to picture… her girlfriend was always so sweet. So when her little suggestion of that particular store was taken, she was not at all surprised.

“Okay, but you have to tell me if you need to sit or if your feet hurt the slightest or… just if anything at all feels off.” Liv gave Keigh a stern yet soft look. The other woman’s wellbeing was of high importance to her, as was their baby’s. “Let’s go then.” Their hands still linked, she led the way in, and was pleased to see a map posted on the wall next to the elevator. She consulted it, a slim finger running along it. “Look, Keigh! Baby items on the third floor! That’s where we start then.’’ At that exact moment, the elevator’s doors swung open.

How exciting this was!

Kolyander 05-21-2025 06:32 PM

Oh, how she hoped that was true! The young woman certainly had her moments of grumpiness. It was normal. So much was changing inside her. Growing a little person took a whole lot of work! Keigh wouldn't change a thing though. She couldn't wait for these next two months to fly by so they could have their little girl in their arms.

That look from Liv was adorbs! So much so that Keigh couldn't hide the giggle that fell from her lips. "I'll happily let you know when we need to stop for a snack," she joked, smiling warmly. No, really though. Food was very important these days. With an even bigger smile, she followed along at Liv's side, giving her hand a squeeze. "Perfect she needs more dresses and matching headbands and shoes!" No, their daughter really didn't need anymore of items buuuuuuut baby things were just so precious! Their Angel was going to look fantastic all of the time, just like her mums.

"Did you see what else was on the third floor? Food!" Whoever designed this building knew exactly what they were doing. Without another wasted second, Keigh stepped into the elevator. It was time to shop!

FearlessLeader19 06-11-2025 12:24 AM

It came as no surprise that Keighley started giggling when Liv gave her that particular look. Her girlfriend always was the cutest with those giggles and everything else, even when Liv was trying to be strict. A snack? The Quidditch player couldn’t help it; she chuckled. “Of course. We cannot have you or our little one without whatever it is you’re craving.”

As the pair took off, Olivia basked in the fact that she was having this moment with her love, bask in that hand squeeze. She chuckled again, this time at the enthusiasm Keigh showed for purchasing more clothing and accessories. “Luckily we’re prepared for all the future purchases!” Meaning, they were financially stable.

Liv stepped into the elevator, leading Keigh into it. “Nope, I did not see that.” She grinned. “Do you want to stop at the food court first then?” The third floor button was hit once the door closed.

Kolyander 06-18-2025 02:07 PM

She had the cutest giggle? Well perhaps that was so in the mind of Liv. To Keigh, it was her Livvy that had a lovely laugh. "Great! Maybe a cinnamon sugar pretzel or some lemonade after we do a bit of shopping?" Nothing too much, a nice yummy little treat for accomplishing their goal of the day.

Keigh nodded in full agreement. "The fact that we're able to get whatever we want and need for our little one is such a blessing." They had certainly picked the perfect time for them to expand their little family and bring a baby into it. As they would soon come to learn, raising children was extremely expensive but oh, so very rewarding.

Leave it to her to be the one that noticed where all the food shops were now. "No, not yet. We can wait a bit longer." At times all Keighley wanted to do was eat and eat and eat but there had to be a healthy balance as well. Once the elevator door closed and the button to the third floor pressed, it was mere moments until the elevator came to a stop. Still holding onto Liv's hand, Keigh stepped out. It was time to shop!

FearlessLeader19 07-04-2025 12:48 AM

Indeed Keighley had a cute giggle. The cutest one too! There would never be any reason that her mind would change. As for her laugh, Olivia thought it was passable but she was definitely pleased that Keigh enjoyed it. “Cinnamon sugar pretzel or lemonade. I’m making a mental note.” Whatever the girlfriend would want, the girlfriend would get!

This much was also true: the two had worked hard for where they were at currently, and they continued to do so. So despite occasional nerves Liv had about being a mother, she was confident in hers and Keigh’s ability to raise a child together. The elevator soon arrived with a ding at their destination, and still holding onto Keigh’s hand, Olivia led the way out. “Shall we look at onesies first?” she asked, suddenly overcome with more excitement at the prospect of this shopping. The displays of colourful onesies were the first clothing that caught her eyes.

Kolyander 07-18-2025 04:08 PM

Ha! Liv was so cute as to thinking that her laugh was 'passable'. It was far more than that. Total music to Keigh's ears. If their little one had laughter just like it .. well the blonde would be thrilled. "Oooh, maybe a frozen lemonade if they have them." Such a simple drink but so yummy. And she would be happy to share.

There wasn't a doubt in Keighley's mind that they would both make spectacular mothers. Well that was a smooth and quick elevator ride! Not that she was complaining, the last thing she needed right now was to be all jostled about. Hand still holding the girlfriends, she stepped off the elevator and took her first real look around at the shop. "Yesssss! I hope we find some really cute ones. Lots of color and adorable designs!" Blue eyes tried to take in all the different displays of onesies at once. There were so many choices to be made! White ones, all different colors, flowers, rabbits and so much more!

"Look how cute this one is, Livvy!" she held up a tiny mint green onesie with rainbows on it.

FearlessLeader19 08-19-2025 12:10 AM

“One frozen lemonade,” Olivia repeated, nodding seriously. It was obvious that she was continuing to take the cravings of her girlfriend very seriously. She and their baby got to eat to their hearts content! Aside from that, Liv was going to do everything in her power to ensure that Keigh did not get stressed in any way; that included them having a flawless elevator ride. Needless to say that she was pleased that that part of the mission was completed.

“I’m sure we’ll find the cutest ones,’’ the Chaser responded, her eyes shining as she watched the excitement on the other woman’s face and in her body language. It was then and there that she knew she was going to trail behind Keigh and watch her decide what to purchase. That was better than watching any movie in her opinion.

And she knew she made the right decision as the mint green onesie was shown to her by a glowing little lady. “That’s one we’re definitely getting!” She held out the shopping basket she had grabbed on the way in.

Kolyander 09-04-2025 08:47 PM

Keighley smiled brightly in Liv's direction. "I need to stop talking about snacks, I'm making myself hungry." Being pregnant, it was fair to say that she was pretty much always hungry. Shopping was going to happen first, therefore she needed to wait a little bit which was alright with her. As for her being stressed about anything, she wasn't. The girlfriend was fantastic at ensuring that she was always well cared for.

"Only the cutest will do for our little one." The blonde was sure that they were going to have tons and tons of clothing for their baby by the time she gave birth. The days were moving by so fast yet so slowly at the same time. It was hard not to get excited about imagining what their baby would look like in these outfits. What color hair would they have? And their eyes? Which of them would they look like?
