Leon glanced over at Juno, still not fully sure what exactly was happening.. something was going on with the girls and since he didn't have twin sense.. The seventh year sort of stood there.. Clueless boy, party of one. He smiled and gave Olly a normal handshake. "It's nice to meet you Olly. And it's going.. well. " At least he thought it was? "How about you? " He asked as he glanced between Oliver and Esme, so were they like a thing now? Could he say anything about it? Or was it more like a Voldemort thing, where they were something but didn't say the name of it? Merlin he needed to sit down. He was going to Ravenclaw himself into the ground if he overthought this. "Welcome Esme. " He said with a grin before uhh... Dumped onions all over Esme? Whattt? Okay.. Leon was going to sit down now before he gave himself a headache... could someone please tell him what was going on? Or maybe just give him some food? Cause that would be great as well. |
Throbbing hand! Olly opened and closed his fist a few times to get his blood circulating properly again and soon found himself laughing. “You would be right, Juno. But that was a complete accident.’’ He still remembered that Esme disliked onions, you know. “Esme tells me you’re a prefect. That’s great! Hufflepuff House is in good hands.’’ And sure… seats and food or presents. Oops. He had already given Esme hers but had forgotten to get Juno one. Way to want to make an impression, Oliver, he scolded himself. “Same here.’’ Olly liked Leon already but liking someone was one of those things that came really naturally to him. “You’re in the same year as the girls?’’ |
Leave it to Juno to mention the one thing that Esme hadn't wanted her too. It was okay though since that had been the only time they had interacted until now to her knowledge. At least Olly didn't seem to be bothered by it. "I think it's pretty funny since we don't like onions, but then I've never tried onion rings before so I might lie them." Just an example of a food made with onions. Anyway they were being invited to sit down, which was something that they should have done before, but hadn't. "I'm not sure about what I want to eat," she said as she sat down. "Olly's already given me a present. A unicorn bracelet." Smiling she showed it off. This was the kind of gift that she loved. It made her happy that things were going well so far, and at the moment she was distracted from her feelings of rejection. They would come back later, however, though she wouldn't show them. Juno was the only one who had picked up on it, and that was because they had a special connection as twins. "Olly is being way too kind to me. I'm sure that his artwork is a lot better. He told me that I can be his inspiration," she gushed without thinking. Something like that would probably make him feel uncomfortable and she didn't want that. Instead she went to change the subject. "Leon is actually a year ahead of us." |
Juno could tell Leon was super confused. She was definitely going to have to explain this to him better at some point because...yeah she probably should have told him already. OH, WELL! She gave him a small wink and grin, hoping to calm his Ravie brain because she was sure it was going full force right now. Juno felt really bad about Olly's hand, she was glad Esme didn't notice it and that he was keeping it hidden. She didn't want Esme mad at her....though she wasn't quiet sure if he didn't deserve it yet. But then he started talking about Esme's paintings...she really does sell her self short. The way he smiled at her...Esme's feelings had to be a mistake. She gave him a small chuckle, "I know it was but it was so freaking funny! I am pretty sure I fell to the ground I was laughing so hard." She chuckled a little at the memory. Hopefully it didn't offend Olly, she remembered that Esme said he was kind on the sensitive side...and well...Juno was blunt sometimes. When Olly changed the subject to herself, she nodded and smiled, "I am! Thank you! It's been a hard task, that is for sure, but it's very rewarding." And it was, even if her co-prefect was hard to get along with sometimes. But there were extenuating circumstances with that. FOOD! Yes. Her tummy was grumbling but at the same time she really wanted to give Esme her present. When Esme showed her the present Olly got her, she knew she had to give her sister her present. "Well, then it's present time and then food. Because I am starving." Grinning she pushed a pink and orange wrapped box over towards her sister. "This is from me. You are going to love it. I just know it." And come to think of it....it may embarrass her.....but she didn't care. She knew her sister had wanted one of these for a really long time. And that...that right there was what made Juno realize that her sister had mistaken something. They were definitely going to have a chat in the dorms later. It made Juno really feel bad about squeezing Olly's hand. "He is not being too kind. You are a great painter. That's great! Esme is pretty inspiring. " She said with a wink. She was going to answer Olly's question but Esme beet her to the punch. She gave Leon's hand a quick squeeze, and smiled up at him. "Yep. Leon is a really great artist too, by the way, but he wants to be an Auror." She was going to say 'just like me' but felt it would sound silly if she did. She was just so proud to call him hers and so excited that they wanted the same things out of life. |
Leon was getting sort of in his head about what was going on and he looked over at Juno as she gave him a smile and a wink, it was such a simple action and yet.. It calmed the Ravenclaw right down. He smiled gratefully at his girlfriend and continued to listen to the conversation that was flowing around him. He was curious about this onion dumping incident, and felt slightly out of the loop since he hadn't seen it of course, so he stayed quiet and shifted his weight a bit until Olly asked if he was in the same year as the girls. "No, I'm a year older than them actually, I'm a seventh year.. Ravenclaw. " He added with a smile, his robes weren't on so his house wasn't fully distinguishable.. Though perhaps Olly seemed to be a former Hufflepuff as well? Perhaps? As the topic turned to art though, the seventh year grinned and he looked over at Juno with a smile. "Well yeah I do draw, I mainly use it as a way to work out my thoughts and stuff. " He was a Ravvie okay? He had a lot of thoughts... "What mediums do you guys like best?" He asked curiously before Juno spoke again and he felt his heart beat a bit faster at the pride in her voice. "Yeah I wanna be an Auror, just like Jun here. " He said as he put an arm around Juno and kissed the top of her head gently. |
Olly all too well remembered the entire onion episode all too well. “Well, I was embarrassed because I dropped them on Esme,’’ he admitted to Juno. “Then I felt bad because I thought you were laughing at me.’’ But that was a thing of the past and he was over it. Plus he realised that Juno hadn’t been laughing at him but rather at what had happened. If Esme didn’t believe him when he told her he thought she was pretty great as an artist then she would believe her sister, right? So the twins had older boyfriends. Anyway, Olly found it really cool that Leon wanted to be an Auror. “That’s great! You’re going to apply at the Ministry for their YATI programme, right?’’ He had family there so he knew how some of the Ministry programmes worked. Oh, Juno wanted to be one too? “Both of you are going to apply then?’’ All this chatter was good enough to distract him from his thoughts about the events earlier between him and Esme. |
Esme had been worried that the mention of the onion thing might make Olly feel uncomfortable, but fortunately nothing bad seemed to come of it. In fact, looking back on it the whole thing was rather funny and she couldn't help but giggle. "It's all in the past now. A funny story to tell. Anyway, I wouldn't be opposed to trying onion rings. They might be good." Olly liked them and that was enough to make her want to give them a go even if she was still feeling rejected. She liked him so much despite that. Listening to them talking and seem to get along made Esme smile. It was nice to know that they could all be friends and hang out together, and she was being distracted from less pleasant things, which was how she liked to deal with things. Juno didn't think it was very healthy, but that was just the way that she was. Surely it would change one day. Oh gooodness! Oliver was making Esme blush again. He was just so sweet. Stuff like this was why she had a crush on him; how could she not when he was so perfect? "I would love to see them. How about Easter? Me and Juno will be going home for the holidays, so that's a perfect time!" Plus she just wanted to see more of him. The mention of Leon as an artist and future Auror shifted her attention momentarily, however. "That's pretty cool. I guess you guys will be working together then! Also I would like to see some of your artwork too. I also like to draw and I paint too, like Olly said. I guess I have to admit that I'm not bad at it since I'm getting such rave reviews." She laughed, though it made her feel good knowing that people thought she was a good artist. Olly was still better though. It was present time, and Esme eagerly took the gift from her sister and unwrapped it. A unicorn onsie? That was pretty embarrassing in front of Olly, but she knew that he wouldn't judge her for wanting a present like that. Unicorns were the best and she liked pyjamas. Wow. Thanks so much, Juno! I love itt!" Beaming, she did her best to reach over and hug her sister, adding a kiss on the cheek. They were sisters; they did that kind of thing! |
Lots of rearranging woo *faints* Juno looked up at Leon and listened as he talked. He was so handsome it took her breath away sometimes, and this moment was no exception. She looked away, feeling like she was staring a bit too much, and cartoon hearts were floating around her head for sure. Juno watched the way Oliver spoke about and too Esme. He was soooooo into her. She had no idea what happened to make Esme feel the way she was feeling but it was clearly a misunderstanding, and her sister was completely blind. Juno grinned, "I would love to see those paintings, but Onion rings...not so much." She chuckled. She was actually surprised that Esme was thinking about trying them. Juno had had them before...and she just couldn't get past the texture. She really hated onions. But her sister wanted to be adventurous. "I could go for some Mac and Cheese and a Butterbeer though!" She said with a grin. Juno suddenly felt bad. She wasn't laughing at him, she was laughing at the whole thing. Mostly because she knew how much Esme hated onions because she hated them just as bad. "Oh, goodness Olly! I'm sorry. I wasn't laughing at you at all. It was just the whole scene that happened. Not specifically you." Hopefully he would understand. Juno was interested to see that Esme was already making plans for Easter break with Olly. She grinned at the thought of them meeting up. Of course he was going to be humble about his drawings as well. All these artists around her and they were all humble. She loved it. It was rare to find people with any amount of humility these days. "But what you draw is still beautiful. The one you drew of the castle was amazing!" She gave his hand a good squeeze. She smiled and closed her eyes briefly when he wrapped his arm around her and kissed the top of her head. The butterflies sent another tornado through her tummy. "You are going to be a fantastic Auror." She said with a wink. She then turned to Olly to answer his question. "Yep. Except he will be a year ahead of my by the time I get there, of course. We've been training together since last semester. Running every morning, and stuff like that." She gave him a small smile. When Esme opened her birthday present, Juno frowned a little. Esme was embarrassed by her? Sadness began to creep into her heart, but then the embarrassment went away and she was happy again. It must have been because she gave it to her in front of Olly. Juno didn't understand why she was embarrassed everyone knew she liked Unicorns...and onesies were freaking awesome. Juno had a few herself and wasn't embarrassed to say so. Oh, well. She seemed to change her mind but she knew Esme would feel the emotions she had. "Oh good I am so glad! It took me months to find them." She hugged and kissed her sister's cheek back. |
Okay, so there was an onion thing that had happened..Leon still wasn't fully sure what was going on. So the Ravenclaw kept an arm around Juno and patiently listened to what was happening.. he really had nothing to add to that part of the convo except for the fact that he personally liked onions and onion rings and if Esme didn't like them he would gladly finish them.. "If you want to try an onion ring Esme, I was going to get some, so you can have one of mine if you wish? " He asked her with a smile.. hoping to take the pressure off.. He grinned down at Juno as she spoke, "I'll get that, and whatever anyone else would like? Olly Esme? Lunch is on me. " It was the least he could do really.. "Yeah, I'll have to show you guys my work sometimes.. " But really.. he wasn't all that great.. He squeezed Juno's arm though as she complemented him and he kissed the top of her head again.. "Thank you Quicksilver. " He said with a warm loving smile down at his girlfriend.. He was so glad she was here.. "Yeah. I'm going to be trying for the YATI program, let's hope I get in!" He said with a smile. |
He watched with interest as the birthday girl opened her next present. What did Olly think of it? Only that Esme would look extra cute wearing it. “That’s a pretty cool present for her, Juno.’’ And did we mention he loved the relationship the twins shared? Sibling relationships were the best! “I figured that out afterwards. The whole situation became funny for me after a while. Actually, it’s one of my fave memories from Hogwarts.” Wow. Both Juno and Leon were determined to be Aurors which was pretty cool. Did anyone notice the twins got boyfriends who liked or wanted to do the same as them? Leon and Juno had the Auror thing going while he and Esme had painting. “You both are going to get in and you’ll be great Aurors.’’ Because a word of encouragement never hurts. |
It was impossible for her to be sad around Olly. Even though she had been rejected, Esme couldn't help but smile back at him. Hopefully one day he would see just how similar they were and how perfect they would be together... At the moment, however, she was happy just being his friend. Could she kiss him as 'just friends'? Because that would be nice... "Of COURSE you would finish them for me." she giggled. "Well, that sounds like a plan then!" Nod at what her sister said. "I will have the exact same thing, but I am going to be adventurous and add on the onion rings." Because Olly was going to eat them if she didn't care for the taste. He was so sweet like that. When he agreed to show her his paintings during Easter, Esme was practically bouncing with excitement, but she kept a casual exterior. This was just to see his artwork, but she was so happy to have the chance to see HIM again. "Awesome! I'll let you know when I'm coming home and you can send me your address." At this point she assumed that he had his own place, but he might not. At any rate that didn't really matter. Aww, Leon was offering to share his onion rings with her AND pay for the meal. "Thank you, Leon. That is very sweet of you to do that." Really he didn't have to! She would have understood if he had only covered Juno's meal since he was her boyfriend. Smiling, her attention turned to the conversation her sister and Olly were having about the onion incident. It was nice that they both found it funny. "I guess that I am just so exciting that people can't help but drop food on me." Wasn't she just plain awesome? "Well, I can see your work any time you want for me too, Leon! And I am sure that you will get into the YATI program. My fingers will be crossed for you both!" Though... "Quicksilver?" Esme was so lost. Why was he calling Juno that? Catching the look from her sister, Esme shook her head. She knew exactly what Juno was thinking about and no... it was nothing to worry about. The feeling had lasted for only a second. Really she was VERY happy and excited about her present. "I've wanted one of these for such a long time and now I have it." If only she could get dad to cave and let her have a unicorn kept at the stable... "It's an amazing present and I am going to look fantastic in it," she said to Olly, joking. Really she couldn't wait to try it on. ANYWAY. Esme reached into her purse and pulled out a present for her sister. "Something small for now." Wink. The main present would be happening tomorrow, but for now Juno could have some Chocolate Frogs and chocolate fudge. |
Rearranging hurts my brain *dizzy* "That would be great Olly! I would love to!" Juno had to say, Olly was actually a really great guy. And she felt really bad for gripping his hand now. But he still had a lot of proving himself to do. Hopefully he would be someone that cared enough to take care of her sister, and not break her heart. Leon was just the sweetest. She couldn't believe he was offering to pay for everyone's meals. She would definitely have to do something to make it up to him. Maybe she could make him some cupcakes or get him something he would love. She would figure it out later. "Thanks, Cap! You're the best!" She kissed his cheek, and gave him a wink and a smile. Juno watched as her sister and Olly made plans, She grinned to herself knowing that they would soon be a couple. Esme was totally blind. She smiled in response to the onion incident. "Well, I am glad we can all laugh about it now, because it really was ironically funny." She grinned. Juno closed her eyes, smiling, as he kissed the top of her head again. She was so happy, she felt close to bursting. "Of course, Cap." She said with a little wink looking up at him. That line had more meaning than anyone would ever understand. He was the best person she could have ever picked to be her boyfriend. When Esme questioned Leon's nickname for her all she could do was grin. "It's a nickname I earned in Flying lessons for being super fast! Quicksilver is a character from the X-Men comics. He is inhumanly fast. And Leon's nickname is Cap, or Captain, because he likes Captain America, and I am his Peggy." She said it with a blush. It had much more meaning to her and Leon than Esme would really understand. She was never into this kind of stuff like Juno was. Juno shook her head and patted Leon's chest with her hand. "Of course you will, Cap. They would be crazy not to take you. You are one of the best I have ever seen...besides myself of course." She said with a wink and a grin. He really was amazingly talented and she knew he would make a wonderful Auror some day. Juno smiled at Esme and Olly, "Awe thanks guys! We are really trying hard. It's something we have both wanted to do for a really long time." It was great to know that they had so many supporters for their futures. "Thanks Olly! I literally had to search everywhere for it. Finally mom found the exact one I wanted to get and bought it for me so I could give it to you in time." She sighed and smiled, "I am so glad you like it. And I may have a matching one in purple." She chuckled. Though Unicorns weren't her favorite, she did love the PJ's! Juno grinned and ripped open the package. "OH, YES! I just ran out of chocolates too! Thank you Es and Olly!" She said with a grin and an air smooch! |
Sorry it's short.. *exits stage left* Leon kept his place by Juno for a little bit longer, at least until he got everyone's food order. It really was the least he could so.. After all it was Esme's birthday and what better way to earn brownie points by this, yeah? Besides they were all sorta talking about an incident that he knew nothing about and he sorta felt like a third wheel even when he wasn't.. He smiled warmly at Olly as he gave his order and then nodded to Esme as she said hers.. Juno had already said what she wanted.."It's not at all too much! So a sandwich, two orders of onion rings, three butterbeers and a Mac and Cheese? " He asked as he looked at them all and then nodded. If Esme wanted something else she could tell him later. He then kissed Juno on the top of her head and grinned at her.. "All right, I'm off to get the food.. I'll be back. " And with that, the tall bulky boy moved away to the counter to place their order. |
“You’re welcome, Juno.’’ Olly had always liked her. Juno was cool and was it just him or did she get cooler? “You like superheroes?’’ He had read a few of the comics. Did they know that Peggy unfortunately never had a happy ending with Captain? Olly wouldn’t say it aloud though. It would probably ruin the mood. The guy laughed. In all honesty, he’d like to see Esme wearing the thing but that would most likely sound very weird so he kept his thoughts to himself. “Since her sister picked it out, Esme’ll will look great in it.’’ He grinned. Did we mention he was quite aware of what great sibling relationships were like? “Thanks again, Leon.’’ He wondered if the Ravenclaw would need any help. Then again, he could just levitate the orders to their table, yes? |
Scene 2 It is the summer holidays, and Esme and Juno have been joined by their boyfriends while staying at their estate in Paris. As part of their time together, there is a lot of sightseeing. On one of these sightseeing trips, Esme has taken her boyfriend to see the Eiffel Tower. Yep, this was amazing. Esme had to say that this was her favourite vacation in France so far, and she had been coming to the country for a part of the summer every year for as long as she could remember. This was the best trip to Paris of them all, however, and she was enjoying as much time with Olly as she could before school started up again. After this they would be going to Cape Town to meet his father and sister, and she couldn't wait! She had never been to South Africa before, and this was where he had raised; it was exciting to see where he was from and meet his family! Beaming, she held his hand. This was time for her to be Olly's tour guide, but all she wanted to do was kiss him. "I can tell you all about the Tower if you want and we can do whatever you want to." Esme was just happy to be spending time with him and she wanted to show him all the places! Of course they weren't JUST sightseeing during this vacation, but that was fun too! |
Olly thought this was going to be the best summer ever! Well, it had already started off wonderfully. He had gotten to meet Maddox and Lima Darcy (that seemed to have gone on very well) and then Esme had gotten permission to visit his father and sister in South Africa with him. Could this summer go on forever? Flicking his dark out of his eyes, he smiled back at his girlfriend. He was very aware that others would be looking at him. The goth tried his best to ignore this because even though he hadn't had any PDA experience, he liked holding Esme's hand wherever he went. "How about you tell me about the tower while we explore it?'' Though Esme must have seen it a million times before. |
Esme knew that Olly was enjoying this summer just as much as she was, and she was so happy that she got to show him around Paris. Even though she wasn't French, she had come here so many times and it was a part of her life. And later on in the summer she would get to see where he came from and meet his family! If only they could do that now, but she knew that they had to wait. Not even caring that some people were looking at them, she held his hand. If people thought that they looked miss-matched, it was their problem. Olly was so much like her and they were perfect. Esme really liked holding his hand. "Oh, I can definitely tell you about it. My dad explained a lot of things about the Eiffel Tower to us." Juno had told her as well. This was why she knew despite the fact that she wasn't really into reading history. Let's see... "Well, it was completed on March 31, 1889 and was the tallest man-made structure until the Chrysler Building was completed in 1930. The construction of it took two years, two months, and five days." Was any of this interesting? Esme thought it was pretty cool to know about the Eiffel Tower. As she talked, they made their way towards the lifts. "While you CAN climb to the top, there are 1,665 steps." It was for this reason that she wanted them to take the lifts. |
And so she did! Lots of interesting facts too. "Wait. That many steps? I'll be a dead goth by the time I reach to the top if I was going to climb them.'' So there was no way in the Eiffel Tower's great history that Oliver McDean was going to do that. "Please tell me there are lifts in this thing, baby.'' |
Even though Olly wasn't saying anything, Esme got the feeling that he wasn't completely comfortable with the PDA. Well, he was shy so that was understandable. She wasn't very used to it either though she DID like holding his hand whenever they went out somewhere. Within time it wouldn't really matter; now they were still pretty new in this relationship. It didn't help that she was still going to Hogwarts, but there was only one term left. Thank Merlin for that! The facts were clearly interesting him which was wonderful. Esme definitely had more for him, though she did have to stop and giggle at what he said. "I think that they would kill me too. I like to keep in shape, but that is just WAY too much for me." The 'baby' made her happier than ever, and now she was beaming. He could call her that whenever he wanted to. "Of course, sweetheart. And I can tell you more facts while we go up." Since he seemed to like hearing them and she liked talking about the tower. |
She had such a nice one of those. Olly grinned. "Well, I really do think you're in perfect shape,'' he told her quietly. He would like Esme even if she were out of shape, really. It didn't matter to him. Just as long as she was her usual unicorn/ horse loving self. He also liked when she called him by those names. It always made him feel so fuzzy and warm on the inside. "That sounds great. Are there any places up there we can get souvenirs and stuff like that?" And where where those lifts? He was quite looking forward to having a view from the Tower! |
Awww! Olly was just the sweetest! Esme BEAMED at what he told her. "Thank you. I really try. I like to run and jog, and I go surfing. Juno recently got me into yoga as well." Those are the things that she did to stay healthy and active, though of course she also rode horses and took part in other activities. "I think you are in good shape too." Then again she would like Olly no matter what he looked like; to her he looked amazing. "Oh, yes! And there is a restaurant as well." There were quite a few things as well. As she spoke, she gently led him to the lifts. She was going to tell him more about the Tower on the way up, and then they could look at the souvenirs and do whatever else he wanted to! Esme was fine with anything; she was just really happy to be here with Olly. |
"Nice. We can get lunch whenever you're ready.'' But first, sightseeing! Olly allowed himself to be led to the lift where he stepped in. "To the top as we can get, right?'' See how much he was excited for this? He was rather enjoying himself and was rather in awe of the structure. "I imagine the view will be beautiful.'' |
At the mention of jogging together, Esme's eyes lit up. That sounded like a lot of fun, and really she would enjoy doing anything with Olly. Neither of them were hardcore into exercising, but any activity together would be fun and jogging was nice. "Of course! We can definitely do that. And maybe we can paint together too." They both enjoyed doing that, and doing anything with him would be lovely. No matter how many times he told her that she was more talented that she gave herself credit for, she still felt that he was more talented than her. He could help her improve her art work on top of the fun they would have together. Nod. "Sounds great to me." They could definitely get something to eat. Esme was good for food whenever Olly was; for now they would have more than enough fun sight seeing. Squeezing his hand gently, she stepped into the lift with him. "Yep, we're going all the way to the top. The view is one of the most beautiful things ever." At least in her opinion it was beautiful. Olly would see for himself soon enough. Now she could tell him some more facts as they made their way up. The tower was originally supposed to stand for 20 years before being dismantled, but its use as a wireless telegraph transmitter allowed for it to stay." So basically there had been a possibility that they never would have gotten to see the Eiffel Tower. |
All the way to the top was what Olly had hoped for. It was a good thing neither of them had a fear of heights. That would ruin everything. He leaned in close to her as they went up. "But you're the most beautiful view, baby.'' And he liked it when she gave all those little facts. Wasn't she just brilliant? "That's the reason they allowed the Tower to remain? Wow. Lucky thing for that transmitter.'' Were they almost to the top? He was excited for the view! |
Olly seemed to be as into the idea of painting together as Esme was, and this was not a surprise. It also wasn't a surprise that he was wanting to teach her techniques; they were on the same page, and that was amazing. "Yes, I would like that very much. Show me everything that you have learned. I can be your student." Wouldn't that be a lot of fun?? She was sure excited for it! Oh gooodness! He was making her blush. "Oh, Olly." Esme gave him a kiss on the lips. He was just the best boyfriend ever and had made her feel special and beautiful. He could keep calling her 'baby' too; those names always made her feel amazing. "Yes! If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't be here with you today." That was sad, because there was no one else that she would rather do this with than him. Student, inspiration, model... Esme was going to be his everything when it came to their art time together. Olly wouldn't change anything. That's when he noticed she was blushing. Did he do that? Who else would have? He kissed her back, momentarily forgetting that there were others around. Maybe with a little more of those kisses he could get used to PDAs. "I don't want to spend my time off with anyone but you.'' Any other time he would be spending his time alone, only occasionally going out with a selected friend or two. Olly nodded. Was it just him or was the lift taking a while to come to the top? But he was patient (still a Hufflepuff, after all). "Reckon we could take a picture or two of the view? Maybe we can use it as inspiration for paintings.'' What did Esme think of that? |
It was nice that Olly was into the kiss despite the fact that it was in public; maybe he would get more comfortable with this kind of thing in time, which was wonderful. Esme knew that there was no rush. As much as she wanted to continue, she knew that it was best to stop before they got carried away, seeing as they were on a lift. There would be more kisses later though. He could count on that. "That's great because I don't want to spend my time with anyone else either. I missed you so much when I was at school." She would be back there come September, and then she wouldn't be able to see him again until Christmas. Esme did not want to think about that! It was a good thing that the lift decided to stop at that moment, because it brought her mind to happier things. Now they could explore! Beaming, she led him outside of the lifts. "You are going to love the view. I think that's a great idea. Maybe we could work on that when I am staying with you. If my parents allow it." She was going to wait until after the trip to ask them. They knew Olly by now, so surely they would agree to it. |
"I missed you a lot too. I always do. On the up side, there's just one more year before you graduate.'' That meant that the couple could see each other a lot. "Would you... um, consider moving in with me after that?'' This was something Olly had been wanting to ask Esme for a while now. He knew he could have asked her during their daily letters to each other but this was something he'd rather have done face- to- face. The goth was only too happy to follow the girlfriend. "I hope they agree. I really do.'' If they didn't, there was no way they'd want Esme to move in with him either. He was distracted but that as his eager eyes were already scanning around the tower, taking in the crowd there. Everyone seemed engrossed with their own business be it chatting, taking pictures, eating or more importantly- admiring the view. THE VIEW! It was wonderful just as Olly had imagined it! "Wow.'' was all he could manage as he looked out at Paris. |
Thinking about graduation made Esme happy. It wasn't as if she hadn't loved Hogwarts, she was just so over the whole thing. More than once over the years she had wanted to pull out, but dad and Juno had always convinced her to stay. There were just so many years of danger that she could tolerate. Plus then she would be able to see Olly a lot more; that in itself was enough for her to be ready to leave the place. His question was slightly surprising, but in the very best way possible. "Of course I would!" she said without a moment of hesitation. Beaming, she gave him another kiss on the lips. Happily, she looked around them as they made their way along the top of the tower. There were a lot of people around; everyone enjoying themselves just as much as she and Olly were. "I hope they do too. I am sure that they will; they really like you." Honestly it was impossible not to adore Olly. He was just too wonderful. Esme giggled. "I told you that it was beautiful." |
Esme wasn't spoilt but would she rather leave her comfortable house to some stay at his apartment? He wasn't as well off as her and her family and he rather take up part time jobs than living off of his father. But yet she was agreeing to his question. He felt so much happiness welling up in him. Olly barely had time to express it in the form of a grin before he was being kissed again. of course he wasted no time in kissing her back. "I'm glad you agreed.'' Her parents on the other hand... well, they'd cross that bridge when the time came. Olly reached out to pull Esme close to him. "I told you you're still the most beautiful view here.'' It was true. ''How many times have you been up here?'' The goth let his gaze roam around, taking in the tiny buildings in the distance. Was that how birds saw things when they were in the sky? |
Now Esme had yet another reason to want her Seventh Year to go by quicker. It was okay though. She had patience and it was only a year. She would be able to get through it with Juno's help. The fact that her parents might not be enthused with the idea hadn't even crossed her mind. At this point she would be a grown adult and could make her own decisions. Besides it wasn't as if she had just met Olly; she had known him for most of the time that she had been at Hogwarts. "Of course. There is nowhere else I would want to live after graduation." The fact that he lived in an apartment didn't even matter to her. Not like she was overly concerned with possessions. Besides she would have money enough to use when needed. For her education and if she ever decided to get a car. Happily she kissed him and then leaned against him. "Keep saying that and I might start to believe it." Really though he was making her feel very beautiful and it was amazing. Usually Esme felt that she didn't hold a candle to most of the girls at Hogwarts because so many of them looked like they could be fashion models. She was pretty enough though. "I used to be nervous coming to the top even though I can't say that I am particularly scared of heights. The first time was when I was 10." As she spoke, Esme looked out over Paris. "These will turn into some amazing paintings!" She couldn't wait for them to get started on this. |
When she leaned against him, Olly automatically placed one of his arms around her, resting his hand on her hip. Things were working out- their trips this summer and her agreeing to wanting to move in with him. It was enough to make Olly want to float off in happiness. "You really should believe it.'' He smiled and kissed the tip of her nose. Was this him adjusting to PDAs? Yes, it was. He gazed out again at the scenery. It was enough to take someone's breath away. "I don't think you're nervous now, right?'' Olly realised that Esme had been travelling to Paris for quite a while now. "They will! Care to be the photographer, baby?'' |
It was settled then, and Esme could not be any happier. She knew that Olly was as excited about this as she was, but they would both be patient and wait for the year to be over. She smiled as he put his arm around her, knowing that he was starting to feel more comfortable with the PDA. "I think I will wait a while before bringing it up. My dad is really protective, so I think he would feel most comfortable with it when he knows you better." Mom was protective too, but not to the extent that dad was. The kiss on the nose further proved the point of how comfortable Olly was getting, and she smiled while crinkling her nose slightly; that had made her even happier if that was possible. "Well, you make me believe it and I hope you believe it when I say that you are sexy." Because it was true. Head shake. "I'm not nervous unless any birds show up." Then Olly would have to be the hero and look out for her because even though she had been sending him daily letters, she was mostly dealing with her owl and hadn't gotten over her fear yet. Both in order to distract herself from the thought and because she actually WANTED to, she agreed to take the photographs. Esme enjoyed photography though she didn't take pictures as often as she drew or paint. Smiling, she took out her camera and started snapping pictures of the view. "I want to take some of us as well." Because that was the kind of thing that couples did. |
Olly nodded. He wasn't in any rush to bring up the topic, anyway. He had a feeling Maddox might really start intimidating him this time around. "We'll talk to him together about it. How does that sound?'' There was no way that he was going to leave Esme alone to do this. The whole thing was his idea anyway so it was only fair they were in discussing it with Maddox together. The goth smiled. Every compliment he gave his girl, he meant it. There was no one around quite like her, even if she had a twin. He then felt himself go bashful and as much as he wanted to look away, he held Esme's gaze. Take that, shyness! "I believe you.'' He trusted her words so much :3 "I hope a bird or two show up then,'' he told her, smiling a little. He was quite sure she knew he was teasing. "Of course. The more the pictures, the better for memories... and for painting you.'' Olly looked towards the camera, pressing his cheek against Esme's. He was all set for a picture! |
Esme was pleasantly surprised to hear that Olly wanted to talk to the parents with her. She knew how intimidating her dad could be, and he was shy by nature, so it would have been perfectly okay if he hadn't wanted to be a part of it. "Wonderful. I am sure that it will go okay. I think he really likes you so far." And of course he didn't know about certain things, and that might be a good thing. Honestly her dad couldn't talk anyway, but still. She was still worried about him getting angry. "Everything I tell you is true, baby." She smiled. So he should believe her completely when she said that to him. "If birds show up, you are going to need to protect me." Of course Esme knew that Olly was teasing her, but it was perfectly okay because she knew that it was all in good fun. He'd never ridicule her for her fear of birds. Maybe he would even help her get over it somehow. "CHEESE!" she said before snapping a few pictures of them. They would get more of those when they went to different places in Paris. And in South Africa as well. "You want to paint me?" That was just WOW. |
Olly was inclined to agree that Maddox did like him so far. Or at least he was being tolerating because of Esme. Whatever the reason, the goth was just glad that Mr Darcy had not tired to embarrass him in front of the rest of the Darcy family. "I really hope I don't do or say anything stupid to make him dislike me but yes, I think he likes me.'' Thank the stars. Why is it that she had so much power to make him happy? Olly smiled, feeling all warm and fuzzy on the inside at her words then nodded. "I'd surely protect you from the evil birds. That's why I wish one would appear now.'' He laughed a little. "Cheese!'' he echoed and the pictures were snapped. He nodded. "Yes. If you want to of course.'' And he leaned in to kiss her on the lips. |
One thing was for certain: if her dad decided to dislike Olly for a silly reason Esme would not be impressed. "I'm sure that won't happen. Especially when you get to know him better." Dad was bound to want to bond with the boyfriends, and that was a good thing. Hopefully the two would find things in common and grow closer. "Both of my parents like you," she assured him. Though of course dad was harder to win over than mom because he was so protective. Oh goodness. His words made Esme happier than ever, and she felt that she could burst. Even though she tended to think that she could handle things on her own, and felt far from a damsel in distress... she liked the thought of Olly protecting her. "Well, the next one that appears is all yours." She giggled before becoming serious again. "I would absolutely love it if you painted me. You can paint me as often as you want to." Inspiration AND model; that sounded beyond amazing to her. Even more amazing than that was Olly kisses. Esme forgot all about everything else that they had planned to do. Yep, this snogging thing was a better idea, and they WERE in Paris. Best vacation of her life! |

Kitty was charmed to watch Esme and Olly talk to each other about painting an horses. She could tell they really loved one another and she could picture them married after graduating from school and university. They could do it before also. She'd never been to a wedding before. "Next summer I'll come visit you then," she said, happy to hear Esme invite her to her home. "Ooh I'd love to see your paintings," she said, smiling at Olly. "Do you have a phone with pictures?" Even wizards knew about phones, so that wasn't really such a strange question. "Yes, you should paint Goths!" Unicorn therapy sounded interesting. "That sounds interesting. I've never heard of unicorn or horse therapy before. If that like message?" The topic then switched back to politics, with Olly suggesting she become a stylish activist. "Stylish activist sounds purfect," she said, thinking on it for a second. It really did. "A super-stylish Gothic protester should definitely get the attention of the Daily Prophet." She smiled wistfully. "But mom's in the Ministry and she doesn't want me to protest before graduation." She pouted slightly before returning her expression to normal. It was nice of Olly to offer to pay for the food. "Thank you Olly. Let's order!" |
Right now there was nowhere that Esme would rather be than right here with one of her good friends and her boyfriend. It made her even happier to know that Olly and Kitty seemed to be enjoying themselves too. "I can't wait until Olly starts selling his work. I bet that he is going to be world famous." YEP. She had so much confidence in him. She couldn't help but giggle, at the bit about meeting the families, though it wasn't nice that he was nervous. "I am sure that my dad will love you. He is protective, but he'll see that you won't ever hurt me." So basically there was nothing to worry about because that would be the only real reason for him to earn her dad's wrath. "I can't wait for you to visit Kitty! I am going to miss you when I graduate." It was sad that her friend was one year behind. Esme loved Kitty. They were talking about the kinds of things that Olly painted, and Esme had to admit that it made her feel special every time that he said she inspired him. The idea of painting goths was awesome too. "Maybe you can do a painting of both you and Kitty." That would be awesome, and would have TWO goths in it. Just an idea. "I can gladly explain it to you, Kitty." Esme smiled at her friend. "Horse therapy involves having patients interact with horses through activities like grooming, feeding, haltering, and leading them. It's done to help the patient gain needed skills like problem solving, self-confidence, self-control, and responsibility among other things. There is more to it, but that's just a rough idea." Of course they could talk about it more if Kitty was really interested. "I was thinking I could also make the unicorns available for people to ride. Well, when there isn't therapy going on." That would be a way to make even more money and keep the unicorns in good shape. "I might also keep some horses there, because unicorns don't like males much." So it was probably better for them not to interact with them. Already she was planning so much of this stuff out. What did they both think of her ideas? Protesting was something that Esme had never done before, or even thought of doing. Maybe one day she would feel as strongly about a cause as her friend did. As it was, she understood where Kitty was coming from, but in all honestly it made sense to keep the magical and muggle worlds separate. They just didn't seem to come together that well from what she had read. Still she supported Kitty in her cause because it meant so much to her. "I'm sorry to hear that you can't protest yet, but at least you can do what you can about it at school in the meantime." Just so long as she didn't get in trouble for it like last term. "You can do your stylish protesting in the great hall maybe!" Now that was an idea. Olly was being a gentleman and offering to order the food for them both. "Thank you," she told her boyfriend with a smile. Now she needed to figure out what she wanted to eat! "I think I will have the pizza. And a butterbeer," she decided. |
Being famous is something Olly was not sure he was going to be but the confidence Esme had in him (and his Professors too), he wanted to make them proud. “Esme just wants to have a famous boyfriend,’’ he said quietly to Kitty and teasing Esme. He was on to you! Olly nodded but then said, “I forgot my phone at home. Do electronics even work here though?’’ It amazed Olly that he had never even tried to use his phone here. “Just leave me your number and I’ll send you the pictures. I’ll even do a few of Goths and send those too.’’ He was feeling those creative juices beginning to flow again. He had inspiration for that Goth series and Kitty had inspired him big time. Olly grinned a little. “I’m sure your mom is just thinking about your best interests. I reckon you’re going to begin your protests as soon as you turn eighteen?’’ He smiled. “You’re welcome. Pizza and butterbeer for Esme. And for you, Kitty?” |
Kitty listened as Esme talked about how Olly would be world famous someday and how her dad would love him. Those were very sweet sentiments and she was sure they were true. She was glad for the both of them. She wondered: how would her mom feel when she started dating? If it were Tenacius... A dreamy look came into her eyes as her head went into the clouds in wistful daydreams... She snapped back to the present when Esme began explaining to her about horse therapy. "Wow that sounds interesting," she said sincerely. "I love unicorns! Do you need to have a permit to have them?" Unicorn therapy would probably fly right over her head (Care of Magical Creatures was not her best subject) but she liked that Esme was studying it, because who didn't love unicorns? "I'm happy to pose if you want," Kitty told Olly when the subject of painting her was brought up. She was highly flattered that Olly wanted to paint her. Olly defended her mom, which was okay with Kitty since she hadn't meant to criticize her. "Oh I know she's only stopping me because she worries. She thinks I'll be thrown into Azkaban or something, so of course she wants to wait until she thinks I'm mature enough to protest responsibly. But I'll definitely protest when I turn 18, and it'll be super responsible but creative at the same time. And it'll probably be a one person protest, because as far as I know I'm the only person on the planet who thinks this way." Esme's suggestion about protesting in the Great Hall gave her an idea. 'I like that idea," she told her, leaning forward. "Hey Esme, what do you think of this scheme I just thought of? Maybe instead of just protesting on the Great Hall, I could find another student who very strongly supports the Statute and we can have an open and respectful debate on an appointed day. It won't be like that Salathar Slytherin debate, this one'll be good." She was getting super excited just thinking about it! "I'll have butterbeer too," she said, looking down at the menu. "And...Veela hair pasta. I've never tried that before. Thank you Olly." |
Seeing Olly saying something quietly to Kitty, Esme was sure that her boyfriend was teasing her. That was perfectly fine with her; she liked it when he was being playful. "Olly has me all figured out." She winked at him. Really she wasn't all that concerned with him being famous, she mostly just wanted him to enjoy what he did for a living, and for other people to enjoy it as well. She wanted people to love his art work as much as she did, because in her opinion he was an amazing artist and kept getting better and better. Looked like there would be a goth collection coming soon enough, and that was quite exciting! Especially if Kitty ended up modeling for it; something that she was sure that her friend would get a kick out of. "I'd model for it too, but I really don't think I would make a good goth." Imagining herself as one made her giggle. "It definitely would be fun though." It was awesome that Kitty loved unicorns too. They were wonderful creatures; so gentle and beautiful. Esme loved gentle and beautiful things because they were calming. "Yes, you do since they are such precious creatures and need to be trained really well," she explained. "I'm going to ask the professor more about it when term starts." She still had a few questions on the matter. Esme was happy to hear that Kitty had a lot of plans as far as her protesting went. She would definitely make her mark on the world. "Actually that's a really good idea," she said as a debate was mentioned. "You could maybe put something on the school noticeboard and someone could respond. You might even get more than one person!" And it would definitely go better than the one in class had, because that was bad. Poor Kitty had a rough time of it for sharing her opinions, though of course she understood why Slytherins had felt offended. Really her friend hadn't meant to hurt anyone and had only been trying to share her beliefs. |
"Definitely. I know my girl well.'' Being around Esme so much had allowed him to open up and come out of his shell bit by bit. He was finding that he didn't mind showing a little more affection in public. He laughed, moving a hand around Esme's waist and pulling her close. "You're perfect the way you are anyway.'' Olly couldn't help but notice the way Kitty's eyes unfocused. It was the sort of look when you were distracted by your thoughts. It seemed like his new friend was having one of those moments and he wondered if Esme had picked up on it. But the girl had dreams. Olly wasn't sure whether he should hope that they come through or not because even though he had just met her, he wouldn't like to hear about her being in Azkaban a few years from now. "You never know. By the time you're ready to do your protests, there might be some who change their mind and will be siding with you.'' He just didn't know if he would be one of those persons. While the girls discussed the potential debate (which in Olly's mind sounded like a great idea), he went to order their food. He was back after a while. "Anybody hungry?'' he asked. Because he certainly was. |
It's February 14, 2093 and Oliver and Esme are spending their first Valentine's Day as a couple at Madame Puddifoot's. SPOILER!!: Previous Posts Exams weren't really what Esme wanted to think about EVER, but the fact was that they were looming over her head and making her feel a little tense. This was odd for her and she wasn't used to being anxious, but in order to get into University she needed to do well on the ones she was writing. Obviously she wouldn't be doing ALL of them because that would be insane. And she could talk to Oliver about all of this because he was completely understanding and supportive like always. "You're right. I always try to look on the bright side of things as much as possible. I'm just not a scholar." That was more her sister. The hand reassured her, and she squeezed it, immediately feeling her worries melt away. "Thanks, Olly. That means a lot." And him taking her hand must be a little weird for him since he was still getting used to PDA, so the gesture meant even more to her for that. Grin. He was always saying how nice she looked and Esme actually believed it when it came from him. "It really is the nicest bracelet that I ever had." So really he wasn't bad at choosing presents in the slightest; she'd love anything that he gave her. AND he remembered that she only liked white chocolate! It would have been okay if he had forgotten, but knowing that he hadn't made her smile. "Well, not REALLY. I don't think. It's a chocolate derivative." But no, she didn't know the specifics of it. Before she could think of anything further on the subject, he was making her blush. "I feel the same and I missed your handsome face too." And she would be missing him again when the Hogsmeade weekend was over, but she didn't want to dwell on that. "It's going to go perfectly fine when we ask them. I can't see them saying no. Not when they really like you. Besides, we would be together for a year by then so I think that would help." Hopefully that would reassure him because she knew that Olly must be really nervous about this. "I'd love more lessons from the best teacher ever." Beam. Was she being biased? Yes. But she didn't care. They were both being biased and that didn't matter in the slightest. Patiently she waited for him to come back. |
Olly smiled. No matter what Esme said, she was his scholar. He had complete faith in her brain, so to speak. "I speak nothing but the truth,'' he assured her and ignoring the fact that part of him wanted to pull away his hand. There was no other reason to blame but his shyness but he held his ground. The fact that she loved the bracelet so much made Olly gain confidence in his gift giving. He'd have to keep this up and hopefully Esme would love what he had in mind for her birthday. So white chocolate wasn't really chocolate. He nodded, tucking this information away. The girlfriend had taught him something today. Hearing her words regarding them moving together certainly helped him feel a little less nervous. It was true that Mr and Mrs Darcy did like him and he liked them too so things were going to go in his and Esme's favour. He just needed to believe that. "I think they might have figured it out that we'd want to live together, don't you? I know your dad might have a difficult time dealing with that because he got so emotional when he first met me and Leon.'' Mr Darcy acted tough but he was really a softie and it was probably because the twins were so precious to him. "The best teacher is back with your food, baby.'' Now they could eat and talk about whatever they wanted. |
It was amazing the power Olly had to make Esme so happy. Just hearing him say all this made her feel SO much better about everything. "I believe it when it comes to you. I believe everything that you say to me." Because he would never lie to her just like she would never lie to him. She gave his hand another squeeze and was tempted to kiss him, but held back. A place like this would have him feeling shy since there were so many lovey dovey couples. She wouldn't push it in here, though she did want her kiss before they parted ways. Judging by his grin, Esme knew that what she had just said pleased Olly. Yep. Now he would have more confidence in his gift giving ability when it came to her. But really she WOULD love anything that he gave to her. And he didn't need to go all out for it either. Nope. She didn't need anything over the top and fancy because that was just not her and he knew it. He was the same as her. Anyway he now knew it was okay to buy her white chocolate. "I think they might have guessed, yes, seeing as they know that we are serious about each other." At least that was what she HOPED because then it would make things easier for her dad. "There is a reason why he is protective of us, and I will tell you about it later. Now isn't the best time." Not when they were having a Valentine's Day date. They hadn't really talked about it with anyone, but she would with Olly. "I think my dad knows that you won't ever hurt me and my mom does as well." So it should be okay. Oh, yummy! "Thanks, baby," she said as he came back with their food and coffee. It really did look amazing and she was so ready to start eating. And they could talk some more while they ate! |
Olly felt the squeeze on his hand and smiled. The smiling was something he did a lot ever since he and Esme had become a couple. She gave him a reason to be extra happy. It warmed his heart how much she trusted him. It was safe to say that he one hundred percent trusted her too. He nodded. Yes, Olly had suspected that Mr and Mrs Darcy had figured this out by now. "If your mom is fine with it then she can help convince him.'' The young man paused then added quietly, "I can't stand living away from you.'' He was now curious but let the matter drop at Esme's request. Like she said, he wouldn't do anything to hurt her so forcing her to discuss this matter not an option. "You're welcome.'' Look at how happy and how beautiful she was. Olly could hardly take his eyes away from her. "I know it's a little early but are we doing anything special over the summer?'' He had rather enjoyed himself the previous summer. |
There was so much trust between her and Olly, and Esme knew that was part of why they would stay strong as a couple. They had known each other for years, and understood each other. They were both honest people and would never hurt each other if they could help it; that thought was very reassuring to her as she had never done the dating thing before him and wanted this to last forever. Everything would go perfectly with them. Her parents had to see that as well. "She can, and I can if needed. Though I don't think it will be. My dad thinks you are great." He had talked approvingly of both boyfriends, which was amazing because Juno needed the happiness as well. Leon certainly was a good guy. "I can't either, but I am being as patient as possible." Really she was counting down the days. "Only a few more months and I'll be done!" Of course there would be university after that, but she would be attending the London campus and wouldn't be residing there, which meant that she would be able to see him whenever she wasn't at school or work. Esme really wanted to get a job over the summer so that she could help make money and not have to depend on her parents. Olly would see soon enough why her dad was so protective; something that she knew she would talk about with him ever since they had started dating but hadn't felt ready to yet. She herself was still wrapping her head around everything, as it had only came out a few years ago and had been a lot to process. Beaming at her handsome boyfriend, she picked up her fork so that she could start on that cheesecake. He did give her something to think about. "Well, you can definitely teach me more, and I would love to go on holiday with you again. And of course we could always go to France again when my parents are there and South Africa." What did he think of all that? "Is there anything that you want to do?" Because of course his thoughts were important to her. |
Esme was so confident that her dad was going to see things their way and it seeped off onto him. He nodded. Mr Darcy did like him. He was not at all the intimidating man Olly thought he was. "Summer can't get here quickly enough for me,'' was his response but then he looked inquiringly at Esme. "You'll miss your friends a lot, no doubt.'' He hadn't anyone to miss that much since he used to keep to himself but Esme was popular he was sure. Following his girlfriend's lead, he too began eating. The cheesecake was yummy and one of the best he had ever had. Oliver smiled, pleased that Esme was so eager. "We can definitely do all of that. Plus we can visit some other places if you'd like.'' With working a part time job, he was able to save up on his own. Sure, he could ask his dad for money but who wanted to flaunt their riches? Not this young man. He continued eating. "What else do you want to do? We've got the rest of the day for ourselves.'' And he was looking forward to this! |
"It can't for me either, Esme said with a smile. Olly's next statement surprised her, however. Of course Esme had been thinking about that a fair bit, but it wasn't going to change anything. "I will. Especially my best friends like Rachel, Kitty, and Azura." The ones who would be staying at Hogwarts after she was gone. "But it's okay. There are holidays, letters, and Hogsmeade. We will stay in touch." Yep. There was no doubt in her mind that everything would work out. She just wanted to live with Olly and go to university. Maybe she would like learning there more than at Hogwarts. No living there, and no threat of death hanging over her head; now that was win win! Oooh, this cheesecake was going to be gone in no time. It was yummy and Esme had inherited her dad's appetite just like Juno. "Sure, baby. Is there anywhere in particular that you want to go?" As someone who enjoyed travelling and liked spending time with him even more than that, she would be game for anything! Well, maybe not ANYTHING. There were some places that she just did not like or want to see. Olly's question made her thoughtful. It really was true that they had the whole day together. "I'm happy doing anything with you. We could go on a walk and maybe we could go to Honeydukes. I could get snacks that aren't chocolate." That would be great. "Is there anything you want to do?" |
See? It had been no surprise for him that Esme would miss her friends. No doubt she'd be missed a lot too. "Of course. Maybe you can have them over sometime if you like.'' At his apartment if she wanted. He did know that Esme went to sleepovers at times and his apartment was good enough for one. She had a big appetite and Olly liked that about her. "Want another slice?'' he asked. His own cheesecake was just about gone. "Australia,'' was the prompt reply. "Have you ever been there? I haven't but it would be a great place to tour and do some paintings.'' He waited to hear his girlfriend's thoughts. "A walk sounds perfect, baby. Whenever you're ready we could get going.'' They were both dressed suitably for the weather so it wouldn't hurt to be out. "I'll go where you want to.'' Really, he was just happy being with her, it didn't matter where. |
The thought of having her friends over at the apartment made Esme smile. It would be amazing to see her friends and they could meet Olly. So far Kitty was the only one who had, and it seemed that they were going to be good friends as well. That made her happy. "Yes, that would be great. I would love to have them over at our place and they can stay the night sometimes!" Sleepovers were wonderful and there was no doubt in her mind that she would start living with him come summer. The parents had to allow it and if they didn't, she would do it anyway because she was determined. Nod. "Yes, that would be great." Esme did not feel bad about having a big appetite. While she didn't eat a lot of really BAD food, she did love to eat and the cheesecake was certainly wonderful. Taking a sip of the coffee, she had to say that it tasted just a good. It definitely was a good idea for them to have come here for their date. Really she was happy going anywhere with her boyfriend, but yummy food was never a bad thing. "I would love to go to Australia. I've never been there before and I have heard that it's beautiful. Plus I want to see kangaroos and koala bears!" Obviously by that she meant ones not in a zoo, but then she didn't really like zoos at all. "We will have all of the fun down under!" Beam. It seemed to be settled that they were going on a walk and Esme was perfectly fine with that. "Awesome! We can go as soon as we finish eating and having our coffees." It was nice and warm here and they had loads of time until she had to get back to the castle. The thought of leaving him until Easter made her sad. |
His suggestion about having Esme's friends over made her happy and Olly loved it. This is what his aim was: to always keep her happy and smiling. One of those goals at least. That aside, now they could talk about other things. But first, more cheesecake. He was gone one second but returned a few minutes later with two slices. "Here you are, baby.'' Did he mention that he loved how much of a healthy appetite Esme had? Oliver smiled widely at her excitement and talk of Australia. "That's where we'll be going then. I'll be sure to get paintings of you, kangaroos and koalas done.'' Hm. Would this be a goal of theirs? To tour as many countries as they can? Olly could see them doing this! "Anywhere else you want to travel to?'' Her suggestion was good enough for him. Olly wanted to spend all of his time with her today. It would be months again before they saw each other. |
Everything seemed to be settled, and Esme was excited to think about the sleepovers that she would be having with some of her friends. Even though she was 18 now, she still loved doing this kind of thing. Really she was still a kid at heart and enjoyed having fun. Blowing bubbles was another thing that she loved to do; it wasn't just for children. Anyway Olly was getting her more cheesecake!! "Thanks baby." Wouldn't take long for her to put this one away as well!! Taking another sip of her coffee, she thought about all the fun possibilities. "We can make lots of paintings on our trip. Too bad we couldn't take a baby koala home with us. That was rather sad, but there was no way it could happen. For one thing Esme thought it wasn't legal, and for another she had no idea how to take care of one. "I'd also love to go somewhere in South America!" Which country though? That was the question. Smiling, she squeezed his hand. |
"You're more than welcome.'' Olly watched her eat, hardly paying attention to his own cheesecake. Honestly, he loved watching her. Then again, it was more of admiring her like he had while at Hogwarts. This time he needn't do it from far which was a huge relief to him. She wanted a baby koala? "You might end up spending more time with it than me,'' he said and tried not to crack a smile. "How about this? We'll make a list of the places we want to travel and the things we want to do together. Like a bucket list?'' Olly squeezed her hand in return then stood up, having finished eating. "Are you ready to go?'' Thank Merlin they had quite a few hours ahead of them. The time would be well spent together. |
Esme smiled at Olly before starting on that second cheesecake. It didn't bother her in the least that he was admiring her; quite the opposite, actually. She rather liked it. He just couldn't take his eyes off of her. "Of course I'd spend more time with it," she teased before taking a sip of coffee. Joking around with him was fun and she knew that Olly was fine with it. He teased her too after all. It was nice being able to fool around with each other in this way. "A bucket list sounds great! I'm sure we could come up with all sorts of things to do in the places we want to go." This was the kind of fun she liked to have even though she hadn't ever done a bucket list before. Anyway they were finished and ready to go. Esme nodded, standing up as Olly did. Taking his hand, she led him away from Puddifoot's and into the street. |
It's the Summer of 2093 and Olly decided to take Esme out to the park so that she could do a little painting... "This seems to be the perfect spot.'' Oliver had found him and Esme a shady tree and he set down her art supplies. It really was a perfect spot because there was a pond not far from them. And in this pond there were some ducklings with their mother swimming about. "Let's see you put those lessons I gave you to good use.'' Grinning, he began to set up her easel. Olly had brought his camera, only just acquiring one. You see, he had only just gotten into photography and he loved it! So there were now two things he was passionate about (aside from Esme). "You do the painting and I'll take pictures of you.'' Maybe he was teasing, maybe he wasn't. |
So this was it. A lovely day at the park with her boyfriend and the prospect of painting amongst nature. Could things get any more perfect? Esme didn't think so. "Yes, this is exactly where I want to be. Now I can paint the mother duck and her babies." That was probably Olly's intention, but Esme was agreeing with it. She wanted to try her best and paint the scene in front of her and while she wasn't as talented as he was, she had learned quite a bit and was sure that the end result of her work would look really good. Yep, she was just full of self-confidence right now. "I am going to blow you away," she said cheerfully as she watched him set up the easel. Ohh, he was going to take pictures of her! Olly might have been teasing her, but he might not have been given how into photography he was now. It was great, because she had enjoyed it for a while now, and now he was having fun with it too! He was definitely going to have the more professional approach, however, as she mainly took photos of things like vacations. "Maybe I can strike some fun poses while you do it. Artists have fun, so it would work." And he would know that she was right about that because he was an artist. |
Olly chuckled. The mother ducks and her babies would make a wonderful painting. One that he would hang rather proudly in the apartment. Only he didn't tell Esme this as yet. He would surprise her with the actual act when the time came. "I have no doubt that you will, Esme. I can't wait to see what you come up with.'' Oliver was very confident in his woman. He fidgeted with the camera then raised it to his eyes, looking at Esme through it. "A few poses would be great, baby. You're very photogenic.'' That she was. "The light's perfect so the picture will be great.'' Lowering the camera, Olly grinned. "You can get started whenever you're ready.'' |
Olly's confidence in her never ceased to make Esme smile, and she beamed at him as he finished setting things up forher . This was going to be a very nice painting, she could feel it already. With all the additional things he had taught her so far over the summer, she had improved since the last time she had done a serious painting. That one she had given him for Valentine's Day and was now hanging up in the apartment. Everything was set up, and she moved in front of the easel, though of course she didn't get started on painting just yet. Nope, she gave a few poses first, knowing that he was enjoying the opportunity to take pictures of her. He was also very attractive right now - but then when wasn't he? A wink was thrown into the mix, and then Esme was ready to start. "Okay, here goes!" First things first, she put blue on the canvas, though not BRIGHT blue, it was softer. This would be the start for the sky and the water. That was a good starting point. |
Wasn't she just the most beautiful young woman in the world? Olly was always tempted to stop whatever he was doing and simply stare at Esme. Okay, he admitted it. He would do just that at times but only because it was difficult not to. She was simply breathtaking, more than any sketch or painting that he could ever create. Nevertheless, he did take those pictures. She deserved to be a model. Did she ever realise that? "Have you ever thought of modelling?'' he asked. The camera was lowered as he stepped closer to watch her getting started. Yes, he was paying to the canvas. For now. |
This was so much fun, but then Esme always had the best times of her life when she was with Olly. Things were beyond perfect, and she knew that they would get better and better. How could they not when she was with him? Happily she continued posing for a bit longer as he snapped away. Nothing wrong with having a good time, and she loved helping him out; this was going to give him some more practice for photography. Olly was going to be the best photographer ever just like he was the best painter ever. It was just a fact in Esme's opinion. "Oh, I haven't really thought about it ever. You really think I should try for it?" Wow. Thinking about it, modeling sounded like a lot of fun, though she wasn't too sure that she was cut out for it. Maybe painting was more for her. Once she was satisfied with the blue, Esme started working on the fluffy clouds. She used the brush in the way that Olly had taught her, and felt that she had a good combination of colour and texture going on. Pleased with that, she moved on to the trees, figuring that she would work more on the sky as she went. Mixing shades of green and yellow together, she started adding them in, creating a beautiful mix of colours. The trunks were to be added in later, as was the water. First things first she wanted to get the other details in. |
These pictures were going to be the best ever. Olly decided there and then that he was going to get an album specially for shots of Esme. The shots would all be moving, of course. Where was the fun in them being still? These were going to be the best memories for years to come! He nodded without hesitation. "But that's only if you want to. You should consider it.'' He was still well aware of her plans that involved unicorns. While Esme got busy, Oliver took some pictures of the park itself. The ducks were a must as were some birds and the swing set that kids had fun on. After a while, he peered over Esme's shoulder. "You're a fast learner, baby. I'd better look out because the student could be better than the teacher.'' |
The idea was now in Esme's head and she was seriously considering it. A bonus was that her dad still did modeling from time to time, though not as often as he used to. That meant he had contacts and could probably arrange something for her if she asked him. "It sounds like fun! I think I might try it out. But if I go, I want you to come with me." She wanted Olly there with her, and she was sure that he would like the experience seeing as he was getting into photography. In her opinion he could be a model as well because she thought he was the most attractive guy in the world, but she knew that he would prefer being behind the camera as opposed to in front of it. Her painting was coming along amazingly already, and Esme just knew that she would be proud of the end result. Smiling, she began working on the trunks of the trees. "Oh no. I don't think I'll ever be as good as you, baby." He was the REAL painter even though she had always enjoyed doing it. |
Olly couldn't help but smile. He loved that his girlfriend was always ready to take on a challenge. Even more, he liked it that she took his suggestion. She made up in this way for his shyness; it was exactly them balancing each other out. They were the perfect fit! He was touched that she wanted him to accompany her and truthfully, he wanted to see her first hand as a model... or a potential model. "Of course. Hopefully I'll bring you all the luck. Do you think your parents would support you or they'd think you're trying to tackle too many careers at once?'' Oliver laughed. "You flatter me.'' Finding it impossible to resist, he leaned in to kiss her cheek. Yes, he had checked out beforehand to see if there was anyone watching them. He may be comfortable with a little PDA but not too much as yet. Olly was hoping that would change but Esme never seemed to minded his shyness so over time, the thought had faded. |
Seeing Olly smile ALWAYS made Esme happier; and that was something because her happiest times were with him. "You always bring me luck, baby." She had known he would like going with her, and she would always think he would be a good model; he wasn't the only one who did the staring in this relationship. "I think they will be okay with it because they know that I can pace myself. I have my internship and my magical horse therapy to look forward to, and I'll try not to get overwhelmed with everything." She just liked to do EVERYTHING was all. Esme beamed as he laughed. "It's the truth. You are the expert painter." And she was his student/inspiration and that made Esme happy. The cheek kiss was surprising, but well appreciated. She wanted to kiss him, but knew that he was shy about doing things in public, so instead she hugged him. There was nothing wrong with that. |
"I'm your lucky charm,'' Olly stated happily. Wasn't that a cereal? He remembered briefly hearing about it. "Just as you're mine.'' He was incredibly proud of Esme of the fact that she was willing and ready to take on so much in life. He would be behind her every step of the way; he was going to be that supportive boyfriend. "If for some reason they're being stubborn about it, I'll be there to talk things out with them. Just as long as you don't abandon me when you get busy.'' That last bit was a joke. "I'll take the compliment,'' Olly said. He wasn't truly an expert as yet as he was still studying at WADA. However, it did please him even further with the hug. Little displays of affection in public never bothered him. "I think I'm distracting you.'' Which hadn't been his intention. |
Mmmm, lucky charms... Suddenly Esme was starting to feel hungry even though she was thinking about something completely different than what they were actually talking about. "I think we need to buy some more cereal before we go home." She was just saying because now she wanted Lucky Charms and they didn't have any at the apartment. "I know I am, darling. And I am happy to be your good luck charm." She knew that he was REALLY going to take the art world by storm; already he was working to make a name for himself. "You can definitely talk to them if need be." Even though it was probably not going to be an issue at all. "Buuuuut I had been planning to abandon you. No fair." HAHA! She smirked, joking right back. Olly was a good boyfriend for accepting her compliment. Well, it was one of the ways that he was a good boyfriend; there were several others. "Good, because I really think it's true. You have learned so much and have come a long way. You are the most amazing painter." And Esme had already told him how proud she was. "You always distract me." Wiggling her eyebrows, she beamed before getting back to her little project. |
Olly laughed. Esme's comment about buying cereal before they headed home was so random yet somewhat similar to what he was thinking about. "Sure, we'll get you all the cereal you want.'' He liked spoiling his woman like that. "And you'll always be my lucky charm, baby.'' The young man meant every word he said. That tone in Esme's voice told him that she was joking with him. "What if I won't let you leave?'' Here was tough Olly! "So much flattery! I need to get used to this.'' Because as talented as Olly was, no one ever flattered him so much. There were the compliments from his professors, friends and family but his favourites were from Esme. "Oh. I'm sorry, miss. I didn't mean to.'' Smiling, he stepped back. "Carry on.'' |
BEAM. Esme was happy because they could get some cereal. It was all Olly's fault for making her want Lucky Charms. Hehe. "What a good boyfriend. I think I might keep you." Another joke, because she had decided that she would keep him forever ago. "This makes me really happy, especially since it sounds like I'm staying with you forever." Because he wasn't going to let her go. This was the best prospect EVER, and tough Olly was incredibly attractive. Not that he wasn't all the time or anything because he WAS. 'Good, because I am never going to stop." Look at her being the most supportive girlfriend in the world. Esme was going to go to all of his exhibitions and promote his work EVERYWHERE. She was also going to continue to be his inspiration and model forever. "I like it though! You're my favourite distraction." Giggling, she worked on painting the pond. |
Olly laughed. "Were you considering dumping me?'' He knew all too well that this wasn't true and he had all the confidence in the world that there would never be a day when they broke up. It was just something he knew. It seemed it was something that Esme had considered too. "I think we just might be staying together forever.'' That got another laugh from Olly. "I'm just going to b causally here and putting my interest in something other than you for now.'' Back to taking pictures he went. But of course he could not keep from admiring Esme's work at times. It was quite clear that he couldn't keep his eyes off of her for a long time. |
Olly had Esme giggling again, though it didn't last for too long before she became serious. "I love you way too much for that." Not that he hadn't been aware of her joke; he certainly was confident in things just the way that she was; he hadn't even needed to tell her as much for her to know. "Good, we had better Oliver McDean." Hehe. She was in such a silly mood right now. Once more she gave him a hug, knowing that it was much better than a kiss at a time like this - aka when they were in public. "Of cooooooourse. You take lots of pictures, baby." And then she would get to see them all later. Yay. Olly was getting in a lot of practice for his photography and soon enough he would be a master of that as well as painting. Speaking of painting... she frowned slightly in concentration as she continued to work. Hopefully it wouldn't take too much longer for her to finish, but she wasn't exactly rushing either. |
"I know that one hundred percent, baby.'' Olly loved it how Esme got serious now. It made him realise yet again about just how much she was serious about their relationship. Relationships take effort and they put put that effort in their relationship. He had a lot of confidence that this would last forever. This time, Olly caught her and held her in a light hug. "I love you,'' he told her softly. ___________ Smiling broadly, Olly focused his attention back on his photography. He took his time before snapping any, getting in a perfect position so that the picture would look its best. The lighting among other things always influenced how an image looked. Though Esme still distracted him. Of course she did. |
There was Olly continuing to make her feel happier than ever. No one else could make Esme feel as good as he did. And he was lucky that she more than respected how he felt about PDA, because otherwise she would have kissed him right there and then. But nope, she was going to save all of those kisses for later on. Instead she just beamed more than ever. "Not more than I love you." Hehe. And there was Olly click click clicking away with the camera. He was so going to be the most amazing professional photographer. Esme kept glancing at him from time to time as she worked. Seemed like she wasn't the only one who did it either. A wink or two was thrown in every time she distracted him. "I think I'm almost done." Not quite, but a lot of it had been completed. |
Olly beamed yet again. How was it that this woman made him so happy? Beyond happy, actually. "Are you sure about that? You know, I could argue with you about this all day.'' Indeed he could and he wasn't going to give in! Or on second thought, he'd easily give in just so he could see Esme smile in triumph. Any smile that was hers was simply breathtaking. Oh, he caught those winks, Esme. Even if Olly sometimes pretended not to, he did. Sometimes he tossed a wink back. Really... he was enjoying himself quite a lot. Everything with Esme was a million times more enjoyable. He went over to her again, eyes fixed on the painting. "Yes, you are. This looks so great, Esme.'' Could she tell just how proud of her he was right now? |
Esme raised her brow at Olly and then grinned. "You COULD do that, OR you could just let me win to make me happy." Yes, she knew you well, Oliver McDean; there was no fooling this Hufflepuff. "But I might let you win so that you are happy instead." Wasn't she just the best girlfriend in the entire world? Really she knew that there was no competition going on and they loved each other exactly the same. Still playing around with him was a lot of fun. But she WOULD let him win just to see him smile. Hehe. It was amazing that Olly managed to get all that photography done between all the staring at her and winking, but somehow he managed to do it. "I can't wait to see the photos." Esme knew that he would be showing them to her as soon as they were ready and she was looking forward to it. "I think it looks amazing too! See all the techniques you taught me?" She was using so many of them! As she talked, she worked on adding in the last details. "I think I am going to animate it. Make the ducks swim and the trees blow in the wind a bit." Would make things even better! And she knew how proud he was of her and that made her even happier if that was possible. |
Oliver groaned. "But I want to win,'' he said in a pretend whiny voice. "Don't you think I let you win too much?'' He didn't really want to win, he would gladly give into Esme but today it might be the other way around. She just might let him win. To help her complete that decision, he gave her a charming smile. Give in, Esme. "You'll see them when we get home,'' the young man said. "I'll need to apply the potion but you'll have the ones of yourself first.'' Maybe he'd even frame a few of them to hang in the apartment. "I do. I've taught you well.'' Olly was rather pleased that Esme had taken his tips and advice so well. "That's a great idea! Go for it, baby.'' |
SNORT. Olly was being so whiney and it was impossible for Esme to keep from laughing as he pretended to try and get her to cave on the issue. Really she gladly would do it for him, as she just couldn't say no. He also couldn't say no to her; something that she was very aware of. "Okay, fine. You can win. I like making you happy." It made her happy too. Plus she did love to see a smile on his handsome face. It was no surprise that Olly would get the pictures sorted as soon as they got home. "How exciting! I wonder if I need to send in pictures of myself if I try out modeling. I'm not sure how it works and I will need to ask dad. If I DO, can you take them for me? Esme knew that he would agree to it; and that way he got to take more pictures for his photography. "You taught me very well, baby. You're a wonderful teacher." He was always so patient and took the time to explain things and show them to her. And because of it she had learned so many different techniques, though of course there were still a lot to master. "I think I will if the coast is clear." It would be bad if any muggles saw what she was about to do. After seeing that there was no one around to see, Esme used her wand to animate the painting like she had learned to in that Charms class some years ago. "There. Now it's done!" She was very pleased with the result. Yep. |
She was laughing at him and Olly just grinned in reply. Esme had a nice laugh and he liked to hear it. Besides, he would never feel offended if she laughed at his expense; they were too playful with each other for him to mind. "That's more like it,'' he said with an approving nod. He was thoughtful as they continued the talk of Esme's possible modelling career. "I am sure you will and you know that I'd love to.'' Esme was always his best work. "Thank you!'' Olly beamed and looked around carefully. Everyone was too observed in their own activities to notice them. Plus they were at a distance away from the couple. "Looks clear to me.'' Still, he stood close by, shielding his girlfriend from persons in the distance. "This is perfect. Now we just need to keep it from view from muggles. Did you bring that sheet? We could cover the painting with that.'' |
It was so wonderful that Esme could be like this with Olly because he knew that she was being playful with him and never making fun of him; there was no way that she would ever do that seriously. Some boyfriends might be touchy, but he wasn't like that and she could joke around with him in ways that she couldn't with anyone else. "So now you can't say that I never let you win." Hehe. She would let him win all the time if that was what he really wanted. "Awesome! And you can take pictures of me whenever you want to." She loved being his muse and his model. "I'm just speaking the truth." Esme returned the smile and was so glad that the coast was clear because the last thing that she wanted was to get into trouble. She loved living in London, but there were so many muggles around and it was always necessary to watch their backs so as not to be seen doing magic. "This looks so much better. And I DID remember to bring the sheet!" She had remembered to take it in her purse and it was a good thing too because otherwise there would be a lot of questions. Pulling it out, she started draping it over the painting. |
Olly simply smiled. "I really have no idea what you're talking about, Esme. You let me win?" Esme was the only person aside from Naida that he teased. He was always afraid that other might carry too many feelings if he teased them and in turn, they'd be angry with him. And yes, he knew she was his willing model any day. If he were one of those overly proud young men Olly reached for Esme's hand. "Let's sit and enjoy the afternoon, shall we?" |
Oh. So Olly was going to play the innocent card, was he? Esme was even more amused now; he was just so much fun and could be such a joker with her. "You know exactly what I mean, Oliver. You were the one pouting at me." Giggle. There was no way that he could disagree with her on that. It had been amusing and rather endearing as well. Nod. "I don't want to be dragged away to Azkban for this. If that happened, you would need to promise not to forget about me." Again she was joking. Esme knew that there was no way she would be arrested for it, and besides things had turned out perfectly. The painting was finished and looked completely perfect. She was looking forward to showing it off, but for the moment she took his hand. "That sounds great to me! Too bad we didn't bring any food because then we could have had a picnic." Oh well. Maybe next time they could do that. |
Pouting? "Who was pouting?'' Oliver looked behind and around him. "I think you're seeing things, Esme. There was no one pouting.'' He grinned broadly. She was one of the few persons he would tease like this. Only his family usually saw this side of him. "I won't. I'll try to visit you as often as possible and bring you lots of chocolates.'' Food. This reminded Olly he was feeling hungry now. "How about we send the painting home and then we take a stroll around the park? I'm sure there are lots of food vendors here.'' They could magically send the painting, after all. Magic was such a wonderful thing. |
Uh huh. Olly was continuing to be a joker, and Esme was loving every minute of it. She knew that he wasn't like this with most people, and that made the entire thing more special; they were so very comfortable with each other - just how it SHOULD be. "Yes, maybe I need glasses. I might be going blind or something." Siiiiiigh. What was she going to do??? Esme started to pretend to be distraught over the thought that she was losing her sight when he made the comment about chocolate. "You can visit me all the time, but don't you DARE bring me chocolates." Giggle. She was going to be teased about this forever, she knew. "Bring me white chocolate though." That would be greatly appreciated. The thought about getting food was amazing, and she was getting more and more hungry. Esme just loved food. "Okay, let's do that! And then we can get my cereal before we head home." Olly must not forget about that. "But yeah, I would love to go on a walk!" It was so pretty here at the park and she loved it here. |
Glasses? That could easily be arranged. Olly smiled a sweet, laid back one. "Of course. We can get one for you. We can customise the fame if you want. Possibly put some unicorns and horses on it.'' What would she think of that suggestion? "Aren't white chocolates still chocolates?'' It was a question that always had him wondering. Maybe Esme could shed some light on this. "I had already forgotten about your cereal, baby.'' Smiling he looked to the painting. They couldn't leave it there. Some curious passerby could take a peek. "Since we have a slight change of plans, we should take the painting with us. Should we shrink it or do you by chance have an Undetectable Extension Charm on that bag of yours?'' |
Oooh, custom glasses! Esme sure liked the sound of that. She beamed at Olly. "Yeah, I can get awesome sunglasses. Maybe I could have two pairs: one with horses and one with unicorns." That was possible, right? If not, they would just MAKE it so. "And you could get some awesome black shades if you want." Because Olly was all about black and it really was an awesome colour; she loved it too. "Not really. It's called that, but it actually doesn't have any chocolate in it at all. That's why I like it." Something that she had explained to him on Valentine's Day, but he had forgotten. And there was something else he forgot. Esme laughed. "Oh, you can be so forgetful sometimes, baby." It was okay though; she thought it was endearing and he never forgot the really important things like her birthday or their anniversary. "We can do that, and I'll still get a walk in AND some cereal." So it was win win in her books. "I do, so that should be pretty easy to do. Just need to make sure that the coast is clear once more..." She looked around to see if there was anyone about. |
The more they talked about this, the more Olly was deciding he would indeed get those glasses and surprise Esme with them. "Two pairs sound good. I'll see what i can do for you.'' Oh, he would make it happen, never fear. "Black is always what I want.'' As for that chocolate, he could never quite figure out why they call it white chocolate still. But the main thing was that Esme liked them so he always made sure she got. "It's a good thing I'm around then.'' His sometimes scatterbrained girlfriend. Her comment made Olly laugh. "You sure are demanding but you just might get all that you want.'' The goth looked around too. "I think we're in the clear.'' |
Wow, that was so cool! "Thanks, Olly!" Esme didn't think that she would ever stop being so happy - at least when she was with him. Beaming, she gave him a hug. "I know baby. That's why we still have all that black in the apartment." Of course there were some other colours there as well. Really she did love black too, especially now that she was dating him and had more of an appreciation of the colour. She just couldn't pull it off as well as he did; Olly was always sexy in black, though really he was no matter what. "It's ALWAYS a good thing to have you around. The best thing." Esme loved him so much and she never wanted to be apart from him. She knew that he felt the same way when it came to her. "You love it when I am demanding," she added as she playfully stuck out her tongue at him. Really she didn't demand much when it came to Olly and he surely knew that; certainly she was a lot less like that than she could be with other people. Really she mostly knew what she wanted and could be VERY determined to get it. Smiling, she went about putting the painting in her bag. "There! Now it's safely away. I really DO love having an expanding bag." It really could make life SO much easier. |
It was quite easy to see that someone-Esme- was very happy. Mission accomplished, Olly, he thought to himself and made a note in his head to get those frame for her. Soon too rather than to just wait for a special occasion. He hugged her back. "I'm just glad that you didn't make me get rid of all the black. That would be depressing.'' "Flattering me a lot today?'' Olly pretended to be puzzled. "Is there something important you want me to get for you?'' Her next comment only made him look more 'puzzled'. "How do you know you being demanding doesn't drive me crazy?'' He found it easy to keep from smiling though he couldn't resist teasing her. "Such a typical woman with their bags and fashion.'' |
It was obvious that Esme was going to get her new glasses soon enough because Olly would make that happen. How had she lucked out so much in the boyfriend department? She had no idea, but she was very thankful of it. "Of course I'd never make you get rid of the black, Olly. We're equals in this relationship and I know how much you love black. I love it too." She just didn't wear it as much as he did and loved other colours as well. But she never would make him get rid of it all, and loved how things were decorated in a way that they both liked and appreciated; that was the important thing because they were in this together. Olly was really enjoying all the teasing and that was wonderful to see. Esme was having a lot of fun as well, loving that they could be so playful with each other. "Maybe. Or maybe I just love spending time with you. You'll never figure out which one it is." Hehe. She playfully gave him a light hit on the arm. "I can be SO much more demanding with you if you want to see just how bad I can get." Something that she would never really do, but it was fun to pretend that she WOULD. "I may be, but that's just because I know I look fantastic." Amused, she struck a pose and did a hair flip. Yes, she was practicing for her modeling career. Well, potential modeling career. |
This was exactly one of the reasons he loved Esme. She was so considerate and didn't make this entire relationship about herself as some other girls would do. Not that he had any experience in that department. "I love you for that.'' The hit on the arm and the tease was enough to get a laugh of out him. "Can I make a hazard guess? It's a combination of both.'' Oh, really Esme? "Are you challenging me? I am willing to go along with this.'' Just look at her. His perfect model. Olly could not help but admire. "Not to mention perfect. You're perfection.'' |
Hehe. It always made Esme happy when Olly told her he loved her; of course she knew that even if he didn't say it, but that didn't mean it wasn't nice to hear. "Oh, is that the only reason you love me then?" she teased while knowing that it wasn't. She could tease him just as much after all. SNORT. "You know which one it is, Olly." Shaking her head, she laughed right along with him. "I don't think you could handle it though. I'd drive you crazy." Not really though because she would never do that to him really, which he obviously knew. "Now you're the one who is flattering me." Goodness though, she DID love it even if she didn't think she was anything close to perfection. |
Olly nodded, his expression no longer funny. "That's indeed the only reason why I love you. I don't know why you would think there were other reasons.'' It was perfect, this banter on this equally perfect day and it made Olly extra happy. Another challenge? "Such doubt you have in me,'' he said and took her hand to lead her so they could get some food. "If I keep teasing then you might get angry and moody. You know, typical girly behaviour.'' Smiling slightly, he turned his attention to the food vendors they had just come upon. "What do you want to eat, baby?'' |
Pffft. Olly was such a liar right now. Esme rolled her eyes, but she was SO amused right now. "It's impossible not to love me for a million reasons." No, she was NOT vain like that, but she knew that he was enjoying this as much as she was. "And I love you when you buy me stuff." Hehe. All the jokes. She wasn't into material stuff, but food was ALWAYS more than welcome in her books. Grin. "You couldn't last a day with it," she said as she took his hand and walked with him. They were going to get something to eat now which made her happy, because Esme was getting hungrier at the thought of food. "Me angry and moody? Never." Okay, that was not true, but she certainly didn't get mad like Juno did; her sister could be SCARY. "Well, since I doubt they'd have pizza here, maybe a hot dog and fries." They would have those, right? |
"What if I tell you I was growing tired of you taking up all my space at the apartment? Or that you snore and it annoys me?'' Still not smiling here even though he still was teasing. In actuality, Esme didn't snore and even if she did, he was quite positive he would find it adorable. "You only use me to buy things for you, don't you?'' Olly laughed. Esme did occasionally get moody with him and everything around her but he knew she couldn't help it. "I see hot dogs.'' It was the first eatable he had seen. "Let's get those first. Two for the lady?'' He was half serious because he knew that his girlfriend loved to eat. |
Oh, Olly wanted to go there, huh? Esme smirked. "You take up just as much space in the apartment as I do and I'm not the one who snores. Sometimes it's hard for me to fall asleep because you keep me up all night." That wasn't true, but then Olly knew it . Really it didn't take much for her to fall asleep when she was tired and she was a deep sleeper. "Yep. You figured me out." Hehe. He was laughing, and Esme knew it was because she really COULD be like that sometimes, but it was mostly when she was hormonal. That was something she could not help and he knew it just as well as she did. What a patient and understanding boyfriend he was. "Awesome! I want all the hotdogs." Or... maybe just the two. She nodded at him. |
"You have a lot more things. Like make up, all those clothes and shoes...'' Really, it never bothered Olly. He was always more than happy to accommodate her belongings. He laughed. "Well then, I'm so surprised that you have not decided to sleep out on the couch or somewhere else. Be ready to stay awake a lot more nights, baby.'' "All?'' Olly laughed again. "Are you sure they'll fit in that stomach?'' From the guy selling the hot dogs, he ordered four. "Now, Esme, don't get the idea that three are for you.'' More teasing but he was also hungry so he figured he'd get two for himself as well. "Here you are. We'll get chips after we're done.'' |
Esme just grinned at her boyfriend. "That doesn't bother you at all. Besides, Juno is SO much worse with that stuff than I am. You really lucked out." Something which she knew that he would agree on. "That's not fair. I need my beauty rest. Maybe I WILL sleep on the couch then and you will miss me." Smirk. Like that would ever happen and Olly knew it too. "Hey, my stomach is a bottomless pit, don't forget that. Lay them all on me." Or just the two... the amount that she had said she wanted when he had asked. "Thank you," Esme said with a smile as he handed hers over. "Now just keep in mind that I might take yours as well." Grin. And then there would be chips which was awesome. "I wonder if they have any onion rings for you though." Olly would like that. |
