Robert nodded, Adam didn't really seem that sad! Weird how he said when he turned 17, like that day? Rober wondered about that kid -well this guy. "yeah I have my parents and my younger sister, I'll soon have Nicole and Kathren though." Robert always want a big family..

Jason felt really guilty for doing that to the man, so he decided to strode over to the man and apologise. "Hello there. I'm Jason Brise." he said as he offered his hand to the other man. "Sorry, if I had been staring rudely. My absolute apooligies, but for a minute I had thought that I had recognized you from somewhere in the past. Please forgive me."

Dean was really nervous. He had never been to a ball with a girlfriend because back at Hogwarts, he asked his close friends during the Yule Ball and had no problems being himself around them. But now, he actually had a girlfriend and this was a Ministry ball, not some Hogwarts annual ball. Chelsea wasn't half as nervous as Dean - well, honestly she was. But the rest was faked with a little bit of bravado and a whole bunch of guts. Because that wasn't something she was short of - really. She was the obviously insane girl who took a picture of the captured Borr.

Brilliant. The look on his face still made her fall apart laughing. Following Dean's gaze she couldn't help but notice Jax and Alicia standing together. They looked amazing.

"Wow they just look so happy" she smiled, as she glanced over to Dean. "So, where do you want to venture?" She asked her stomach gurgling quietly as she thought what foods they would have. She wasn't really hungry but the idea of it being a spectacular event just made her wonder what foods from what places would venture into the Ministry tonight.

Dean's ego was affected when Chelsea laughed at him. Merlin! Was his nerves that obvious? He tried to cover up his embarassment when she gandered at Jax and Ali. "They are," he agreed with the lady. "Do you think we're as sweet as them?" Dean smirked cheekily. Apart from his physical and sense of responsibility, he didn't grow so much.

Glancing around the place, Dean mused before he decided on what to do. "Are you hungry?" he turned back to his girlfriend. He was quite hungry too, didn't have anything since breakfast. Working all day long didn't do any good to the young man's body.

Maybe she shouldn't have come here after all. Just coming to work one day would have probably been better. Instead she was...well, here. Celebrating something she didn't have anything to do with. Or at least hadn't been present for. Oh well, it was still going to be fun in some way. Or so she hoped anyway.

All of a sudden she heard her name being called, and turned to see who it was. Was that..."Izzy!" Alysson exclaimed with a smile for the other woman as she quickly headed over to where she was standing with a couple of other people, some of them looking at least vaguely familiar.

"How've you been?!" Giving the blonde a cheerful hug, she pulled back a little in order to smile at the others too. "Hi!" Were they working in their department too?

Marina pondered a lot before she'd decided to attend this magnificent ball. Basically because she had no influence over the recent happenings around here, she stuck to her boss' orders and played smoothly. Despite her encounter with Mr. Bole before that, she let those who were determined to take action. She wasn't one of those.

Being glamorous for one night wouldn't hurt though, the twenty eight years old stepped into the Entrance Hall and the symbol of the Ministry was the first thing to catch her eyes. She walked a bit closer and stared up at it.

Yep, this was the right symbol the MLE department went nuts for, in her last visit over there.

Adam nodded, "That's nice that you will have them and that you have your parents and younger sister." He smiled, "If i remember correctly, you are a teacher right?"

Robert nodded and looked to see if Nicole or Elizabeth were around at all. He then looked at Adam and said, "Yes, you remembered correctly."

"What school and subject do you teach?" Adam smiled, "That is if you don't mind me asking." He was curious and all. Adam looked around for the girls as well, wondering where they were.

Listening to his recommendations, she tried to make sure she wouldn't forget a thing that he said, before nodding as he simply told her to write him a letter if she needed advice. At least that way she couldn't forget what he recommended. "You never know, I might just drag you along with me somehow" she joked. Might as well have someone who somewhat knows a bit about the places...

She began walking in the direction of the dance floor. "A requirement?" she questioned. There'd never been a person she'd met where dancing had ever been a required thing because of family.

"Or we could start with those. Free food is free food, but I bet this is exceptionally good free food. You think they have some of that chopped up liver stuff." He knew what it was, of course, and was a fan - pâté de foie gras went well with some of his finest vintages. But they were pretending to be all wide-eyed, right?

"Oh, cake. I'm a big fan of cake. You ready to go in?"

"Well its mostly all of them, math, reading, writing, etc.," Robert told Adam. He didn't know if school for elementary in America wored then same in England..

Adam nodded, "Oh cool. In a muggle school right?" He didn't know if wizard schools taught that or not he was taught at home until he turned 12.

Looking up, Nala's face split into a large smile as she saw a slightly familiar face introducing herself. She had seen this lady around the Ministry, but she had obviously just not had a chance to talk to her. 'Hello, I'm Nala.. Dalton. Minister of Magic's Office!' Taking Nicole's hand, she shook it. Still smiling, Nala shook her dark wave of hair out of her face.

Nala could see Nicole looked slightly nervous, so Nala let the smile go slightly. Rocking on the balls of her feet, she tried to think of something to say next. Her mind had gone blank. Normally, Nala was totally fine with meeting new people but now.. she was useless. This ball had been nothing but stressful! and it hadn't really began yet...

Robert nodded and said, "Yes at a muggle school."


Nicole smiled and said, "Its nice to meet you Nala." Nicole paused and stood in silence for a moment. She didn't know what to say... so she guess she would just start blabing about something. "So how long have you been working in the Minister of Magic's Office?"

While looking at Nala's face, it seemed a bit familiar, like she has seen her some place. Nicole couldn't pin-point when, but she was guessing somewhere around the Ministry. "I was thinking about trying to get a job in the Minister of Magic's office some place, when I started working here, but I saw my job open so I took it." It was kinda something stupid to add, but she already said it, no turning back now..

"I don't know how you can stand it." Adam shuddered, "I mean being around muggles all day? I couldn't go that long without slipping up and doing some magic..... especially if there is a muggle kid that was annoying. So to me that is impressive." He smiled.

"Well.... I do magic sometimes when I'm alone or nobody it hardly there and close around me." Robert thought about what Adam said, was he against muggle like he mentioned down in Salem??? huh?? "Its easy for me to take care of the annoying ones.... I just send them away, or tell them off.. in a somewhat kid way, not adult.." he didn't know where we was going with that..

When Elinor had first heard of the ball, she was reluctant. Yes, it was a wonderful occasion that she was happy to have a hand in. But... It was a ball. Elinor didn't DO... No. But then, after she gave it a bit of thought, she knew she would end up attending anyway. And, since she was free to invite one other guest, why pass up a good opportunity to be with Nigel, right? So the woman half-tricked Nigel into coming.

The woman was wearing a red gown that was more fancy than anything she had ever worn, besides her wedding dress so many years ago. by a happy coincidence, she matched her... her date, whom she had one black gloved hand on. As they entered, she led him, sort of, off to one side, out of the way of the crowd. That was something nice she and Nigel had in common-- They were both shy people. He was more shy than she was, and it was... cute. It was cute.

So this would count as a second date, she thought to herself as she turned to face him. UGH. He was so TALL and HANDSOME. "Thank you again for coming. It's nice to not have to be here by myself," she half-sighed, knowing that, if Nigel hadn't come along, this night wouldn't be a pleasant one. At least... not as pleasant as it was likely to be.

Adam shrugged, "It is still impressive." He smiled,
"I guess im too much like an old pureblood but i like how you can stand muggles." Adam nodded, "It is a good trait."

Robert looked at Adam, except around him for the girls and said, "You pureblood?" Robert knew pureblood hated muggles and muggleborns. Nicole told him that, but some weren't...

"Yeah." He laughed, "To be honest i cant understand how Iza can stand muggles since she is pureblood, her mother hates them and tried teaching her to hate them too, and that her second husband was killed by a muggle." The last part was half true.... he was killed but by adam not by a muggle but the story was a muggle killed him. Adam shrugged, "Guess she is too kindhearted."

Robert nodded, he wonder what he would do if he knew he was talking to a muggle so he just asked, "Do you ever talk to muggle?"

"Only to play with them like turn them into animals..... or mess up their lifes." He shrugged, "I try to avoid them as much as possible." Adam would of asked what about him but... well he did teach at a muggle school, "Though if Iza ever found out, i would be doomed."

Oh goodness Adam could never know about him being a muggle, that wouldn't be good! Robert felt a little nervus and said, "Oh really? So Elizabeth doesn't know about any of this at all?"

"Yeah, Iza doesn't know. She doesn't need to know, ok?" Adam looked at Robert a little sternly to get the point of cross that he wouldn't blink twice of turning him into a little rodent if he spilt the beans to her.
