All right, he didn't shave this morning but it can't be very bad. The scruffy look suits him well. "This is weirder than a left-handed handshake." He said to no one in particular and ate another spoonful. However, the woman's reply about why she couldn't eat that pie summoned a smile onto his lips. "Really? Is that so? Well I suppose it's a good enough reason..." Trailing off, he paused for a second to take in the woman's appearance before opening his mouth to speak again. "...To be honest, dieting won't do you any good, lady." He advised even though it wasn't needed. "You seem fit.." He admitted.

The woman stopped in mid-word and her jaw nearly hit the floor. "Easy there.." He said with a chuckle, leaning back on the chair as his stomach began to ache a little. Ugh. Too much pie. She smiles too? Marlon had to double-check if what he saw was real and not a hallucination. "Will my name be enough for you ladies? Because you two might stalk me for all I know." He nodded his head just to emphasize his point but truly, it was all in good fun. He'll let them know a moment later but for now, leave it be. What's with her and the raspy tone to her?

His eyes widened the moment the second woman spoke. Telekvizon? Really? If he didn't had full control on himself, he'd be on the floor, laughing his head off. "For Merlin's pants it's a television, woman!" He exclaimed, not able to hide a huge grin.

No more pie? Pout. He couldn't grasp why these two were so keen on knowing his name. He didn't look like a criminal. No way. "The depth of my soul? Ahh. How do I begin?" He sighed and narrowed his eyes when she took a big fat piece of the pie, "My profundity commences from where yours end." Yes, he's a deep, philosophical being who loves to flirt with pretty woman. "However, I deem it's best to reveal my true identity.." So? what's his true identity? "Marlon Stymest, at your service." With a grin, he winked at them and summoned 3 cups of cappuccino, "Cheers?" He lifted his mug and clanged against the two set on the table. Stomach ache. Ugh.
Ouch, " Pardon me if I'm not familiarized with the muggles terms yet, is not like I've been socializing with them that much!" she said with a shrug excusing herself. Then she remembered the party she was about the throw on the rooftop, would inviting them be a good idea? Well maybe she should get the Mystery Man's name first. She had to chuckle, he looked really amused " It is kinda funny though. Telekvizon and Television almost sound the same but.. you're right" she smiled.

She observed as the light flattering occurred from him to Frida. She had to agree with him, she did look fit, but maybe she had some stomach problems and her diet was because of that or something..

Katherine thought of punching the air in victory when he finaly gave them his name, but she behaved and instead smiled broadly " Finally, mystery man has revealed himself" she said ironically as she crossed her legs and leaned back on her chair " I'm Katherine Lewis, nice to meet you Marlon" she used only his first name. She never had much difficulty introducing herself to man, or anyone in fact. It would be nice of her to ask them to the party right? She picked up her cappuccino mug " Thank you!" she said as she clanged hers against his.

The other day, on her way downstairs one of her neighbors had their door open and she caught a glimpse of someone in a pink tutu making a dance, inside a small grey box..

She was interested on Frida's animals " You have many animals? Owls? That's great, I would love to have a pet over the apartment but unfortunately I don't spend as much time as I would like to, to take care of one..." Katherine could feel Frida's gaze following her spoon as she took a piece of the man's pie. Well, maybe she shouldn't have, but then again, she didn't use his spoon at least. The man leaned over her a little to talk in her ear one of her eyebrows raised up.

What a flirt. She shot a crooked smile his way and leaned away a little " You heard her" she told him, as Frida answered she was on a diet.

Then he dodged their question about his name, and gave them some silly dragon poo explanation. She could tell Frida didn't enjoy it much, neither did she, and as revenge she ate a spoon full of pie, and as she cleaned her mouth she decided to tease a little as well.

"Well, apart from being an extremelly philosophic being, I would like to know something other than the depth of your soul." she pushed the pie plate aside " or there will be no more pie for you Freud."
"Yep." Her voice was fading it seemed, "That's what I thought they were. The boxes with people." Frida drank some more water.

"I have a lot of animals. Four cats and two owls." She meant to reach for her pocket, but remembered that all her photographs had been placed in her new desk. "I have an abyssinian cat, a ragdoll, siamese, and a savannah cat. At least they behave most of the time. My ex had two owls as well, but since, well, he's not around anymore, it's just my two."

'Better off anyway I guess.' Frida reminded herself, 'Quill and Tarma caused a fuss sometimes too.'

Frida stared at her now cold bowl of soup, attempting to hide her flushed face. Perhaps a better scowl would be in order? Yes, that seemed necessary.

She had found herself staring off into space towards the other wall when a somewhat familar word summoned her back. 'Television! That was the word for it.' "And would you happen to have a tel-e-vi-zion?" Frida asked, slightly curious now; her voice seemed to have gotten even worse, if it were possible.

'You better believe it's best.' Frida thought and looked over at Katherine with a ghost of a smile. She couldn't hide the fact that today's lunch was fairly amusing.

"Marlon Stymest." Frida repeated and glanced at the cappuccinos that appeared on the table. She might have accepted one, had her throat not begun to throb again. 'Ah well.' Frida withdrew her wand and tapped the side of her cup, cooling it's contents considerably.
"Frida Bok." She said and extended her (left) hand to shake, while lifting her cup with her right. 'Been about five years since I've had one of these.' The woman then clacked her cup against the other two and took a sip.

"Yes, they do sound familiar and rather funny. My sister, who is not largely acquainted with muggle artifacts, once called a helicopter 'helpitokper'." He chuckled again, recollecting the day when he took his sister on a shopping spree to a muggle mall and the first thing see noticed; beside the man who later on turn out to be her boyfriend, were the elevators. She callously butchered the term before a swarm of muggles. But currently, he had a vague premonition that something of that sort might occur seeing that neither of the two women were aware of muggle tech. "I suppose you two are aware of the term 'helicopter'." He stated, eyeing them.

The woman seemed to be on the verge of punching the air in victory but successfully restrained the urge. She was kind of cute in a way when she referred to him as mystery man. "Pleasure meeting you, Katherine 'pie-moocher' Lewis." He teased and to get his point across, he winked at her playfully and added, "Forgive me, I'm just kidding. It really is a pleasure to meet you, Katherine." He smiled at her and before taking a sip of his coffee, clinked the mugs with her.

On hearing the other woman speak, Marlon glanced at her, a frown appearing on his face. "What's wrong with your voice? You sound dreadful." He asked with concern, hoping that it had nothing to do with his presence.

"Yes, I happen to own a Telekvizon." He chortled softly. That word gets him every time. "It's a very entertaining device with moving images like our own pictures." Seeing that he was pure blooded, people expected him to be completely illiterate about muggle technology but due to his very own interest in the aforementioned subject, Marlon bought a number of muggle appliances to be on top of things.

He nodded his head on hearing her repeat after him. "Without a doubt." He flashed a crooked smile. He silently watched her cool the contents of her mug and glanced at her at the mention of her name. Taking a sip of the drink, Marlon reached for her extended hand and froze for a moment. Left hand? Did she caught his earlier muttering? Oh well..."Pleasure to meet you as well, Frida." He smiled and extended his left hand and with great difficulty, he slipped his hand into her petite one, feeling relatively nonsensical. "Ahh, now aren't we weird?" He chuckled, taking frequent sips of the cappuccino.

'Helicopter?' Frida thought and took another soothing drink out of her chilled cappuccino. "I've not heard of it." She replied in a whisper (which was a lot lesss painful than speaking normally). Why didn't she study muggles more thoroughly while she was in school? Why? She hated not knowing things. Ask anything else and she definitely (might) have the answer.

Oh that's right, studying muggles wasn't cool when she was at Hogwarts.

"Hm?" She replied in reaction to Merlon's question. "Oh, I just burned my throat before." Frida gestured to the half-empty bowl of soup in front of her, which of course, was now stone cold. "Nothing communicable I assure you." She made to laugh, but stopped immediately.

Frida's eyes widened a little bit out of curiosity. "So the images move all the time?" She cleared her throat, and as she did so, she remembered something from her conversations with Blaze. "Don't you have to plug it into the wall too?" Perhaps a teklevision...tel-e-vi-zion...worked sort of like a phone? "And you can hear what they say on the thing too? Like with a phone?"
'Although, phones don't show any images...I think.'

"I'll leave that for you to decide." Frida replied and took a larger sip of her drink. Her personality was almost back to normal, though it was fun acting like a complete snot every once in a while too.
"You've not worked for the Ministry for long have you?" She asked and again, tapped the side of her cup to further cool it's contents. "If you have, then I apologize. I don't get out of my department for very long you see."

Katherine laughed at the little nickname Marlon got her. Nicely done.
For the rest of the time she just heard the weird conversation about muggle artifacts, she sighed and played with the spoon on her cappuccino, twirling it just by moving her finger. She then worked up, when Frida asked about his presence on the Ministry. That interested her as well, since she was knew.

She had no idea what a helicopter was. Whoa! Shocker....not. "Well, I think we should put an end to this muggle artifacts topic." He was a very curious person hence his fairly good amount of knowledge about muggle clutter but that doesn't mean he's patient enough to explain what exactly a helicopter is. No way.

A bitter expression took over his features at the mention of her throat being smoldered by the evil soup. "See? That's exactly the reason why I avoid tea." He smiled at her empathetically. Poor thing, she couldn't speak louder than a whisper.

He couldn't hold back a chuckle at Frida's sheer curiosity. He had requested to drop the muggle topic but seeing the inquisitiveness dancing on her face, he gave in and sighed. "Yes and yes. The images move all the time until it's switched off." Erm. He wasn't exactly sure about that. He owns a TV but hardly ever uses it. Who has the time to lazy around the couch? He certainly doesn't.

"Nah..I joined Level Seven 2 days back BUT I'm moving to the Daily Prophet in a few days hopefully. What about you girls?" He finally added after taking a long sip of his cappuccino. He'd be the nosiest reporter EVER. They wouldn't find a gem like him anywhere. Ummhmm. "I'm originally from Norway." Yep. As Rin puts it, he's a Norwegian Ridgeback. That girl cracks him up. "Katherine?" He shifted his gaze to her and smiled, "You seem bored....."

Frida shrugged and sipped her cappuccino, "I suppose that's a good enough reason. Though it does help if one is careful...which I apparently am not." At least her cooled drink seemed to be doing the trick. And Frida also began to wonder if she had something in her desk upstairs that would help.

"They move all the time..." The words were more to herself than to anybody else, but it only made her wonder more. 'So, basically, they are big and bulky things that have moving images...might as well make our own tele-vi-zions out of photographs.'
Frida could probably make a fortune out of that little idea. At least in the wizarding world.

"Level seven." It sounded almost as though Frida was asking a question, but it wasn't meant that way. "Magical transportation then? Must not have suited you well." There was a brief pause before Frida continued, clearing her throat a little before she did so, "You seem more the type to be employed by the Prophet."
She took another quick sip of her drink, waiting for it to relieve her throat some more, though it didn't work well.
"I've been here for a few years now. Started out in the Goblin Liaison Division. Most of the issues down there had to deal with counterfeit gold." Frida tapped her wand against her cup again so that the contents were icy. "Got a promotion, so now I've been the division head for the Obliviators for just over about a year and a half now."

'Norway, eh?' Frida thought to herself before saying, "I've heard that it's absolutely beautiful there. Never had the chance to visit it myself, but my cousin was in Oslo a couple years ago and brought back lots of pictures."
'Not to mention a much lighter bag of gold from buying too many souvenirs.'
She too, turned her attention to Katherine, who had, in fact, grown rather quiet. The girl surely couldn't have gotten lost for words already?

Katherine was a little startled at the sound of her name, thought she had been looking at both of them and nodding and smiling, her mind was a complete blank.
"Sorry, I guess I dozed of for a bit back there..." she admitted with a low chuckle, sitting straight in her chair again " but I'm not bored at all, you guys are fascinating with all the muggle stuff and people in boxes...I just wish I could find it interesting" she admitted.

"The Daily Prophet hun?" she said with a smile " that's something! Which column would be yours?" she said, turning to Frida to hear her speak " I've just recently started at the Experimental Charms division, though I have been working a little all over the country for the past 6 years. Ever since I left Hogwarts in fact... I've done a little bit of this, a little bit of that.."

Norway, that was something right. Katherine herself had never left the UK, not even for a second, traveling wasn't for her, though she had been planning to travel do Greece to meet Niko's parents.

"I've never left the UK, not even for a split second... not that I don't want to, I just never had the time since I've been jumping from job to job in order to keep myself living" she said casually " but I'm planning a trip to Greece with my roommate soon!"

Yeahhh, Mr White! Yeah science!

Well it had been a frightfully stressful morning and James was delighted when break time came. The cafeteria was on his level of the Ministry which was nice, although a pleasant stroll in the sunshine out on the streets of Diagon Alley might be nice later on. People watching; observing without the need to get involved – one of young James' favourite pastimes.

He drifted into the cafeteria and found a seat by the enchanted window. Well this was rather cosy. He whispered his order, that he wanted a herbal tea and a fresh fruit salad, and they appeared with a small Poof in front of him. He smiled a little - how marvellously convenient.

He sat back, not touching his food for now and, seeing as it was quiet, wordlessly summoned his ukulele from his desk in the Creatures Department. He began to softy strum a few quiet chords.

LUNCHTIIIIIIIIME!
...or whatever it was, it meant being able to sit back and relax and eat. Which was basically what Leo did most of the time, so no worries.

But this time, he had brought his painting equipment. He had a easel prodded up against the table, his already paint smudged hands were rearranging the different oil paints on the table. With a brush in hand, he scratched his stubble and then started sweeping the color on the canvas.

Ah, the life!

But...he was hungry. Hm. Pausing in his creative moment, he picked up the menu and a grin appeared on his face. "Lasagna!" he almost bellowed, and poof, there it was. The sweet yummy delish food was before him to be EATEN. Heaven.

He was about to scoop some on his finger, when he heard a sort of...tune. TUNES! Jerking his head around, he finally found the source - a man with angelic white hair. Oooooh. And WHAT was in his hands? IT LOOKED LIKE A TINY GUITAR! HeHE!

He put his index finger and thumb in his mouth. "Fffppppflp!" Allright, that whistle didn't work well, he sort of just spluttered. He tired again. *whistle* Aha! He grinned and waved at the man, hoping he would turn to see him.

The chord playing had progressed into a quiet tune and James was lost in his own little world. That was until he heard a loud whistling which caused the music to come to an abrupt halt and caused his little stringed instrument to emit a horrible sound like a cat being strangled.

He swallowed and looked around for the source, his gaze coming to rest on a man with longish hair and lots of stubble. His eyes shifted to the easel and his paints. How intriguing.. but how on earth James had failed to see this on his way into the cafeteria he did not know. He smiled self consciously seeing the man's smile and sort of waved back awkwardly. Did this man want him to go over? He placed his ukulele on the table pondering what to do. He didn't want to offend by not going over, and he didn't want to disturb the man's painting should he have read the signs wrongly. He decided to speak up, more for the want of filling the sudden silence which had descended upon the cafeteria. He cleared his throat. “I-I hope I didn't disturb you.” He said softly although his voice seemed to echo around the cavernous canteen. cringe. That was one good way of bringing unwanted attention to yourself.

Oops. Leo grimaced slightly as she heard the horrrible musical notes right before the man stopped playing. Regarding the ukelele playing person, Leo couldn't help but scratch his chin again, seeing how painfully shy he seemed.

Aw, disturb? "Ah, no no," Leo said, waving his arms about, his mexican accent dripping through, "I was admiring your playing. You are very talented my friend." Nod nod.

Quite unaware of the silent moment, Leo smiled again, "My name is Leo Buena," He stood up and stared, then tilted his head to the side and squinted at the man. Hm... Quite interesting. "Mind if I join you?" Maybe he wanted to share the LASAGNA!

James regarded the man. He had a familiar accent, although James could not put his finger on what it was. As he watched him wave his arms around, he got the mental image of a giant in a human's body – this man was larger than life. And by the look on his face, he enjoyed every minute of it.

The man's compliment got a real smile out of the fair haired young man. Not many admired the ukulele – they just thought James was a bit strange for playing a tiny guitar. “Thank you.” He said with a slight respectful bow of the head and a pink tinge to his cheeks. His eyes flitted back to the easel. “W-what are you painting?” He asked curiously.

“Mr Buena.” He repeated. “I'm James. J-James Greenwood” He introduced himself. His eyes moved downwards to the floor as the man stared at him. What could he see when he looked at him? Why did James feel ashamed? Oh he knew, but could this man see something that wasn't 'visible.' Of course he was being paranoid. He swallowed and looked up again. He wanted to join him? But James was so boring and quiet and wasn't one for small talk.. or any talk for that matter; but he nodded his head and gestured to the seat opposite him.

At the young man's sweet bow, Leo grinned. He didn't really know why, but the way the ukelele player was acting made him sure that he had found a lovely person to talk to. Aaah, this week was going great. First his employees were a bunch of happy fruit eating people, and now this man in the cafeteria. Exellente.
Hm? "Oh..." At the question, Leo turned to his canvas and looked at it as if seeing it for the first time. "I don't really know..." Hmmm. Nothing important he was sure - and if it was, it would come back to him soon.

"Ah, James Greenwood!" Name being recorded in brain. "Very pleased to meet you. And please, call me Leo. Or Leon...or Leonardo." He shrugged. Same names, different lengths.

His head was still titled to the side, seeing the akwardness of James, Leo felt curious as to why that was. Well, ofcourse, people didn't like to be stared at, which was what Leo was doing. Heh. But yay, the man nodded!

Instead of walking over to sit down, Leo turned to his table, grabbed the edges and actually dragged the table towards his new pal. Not minding the weird looks from the other people in the cafeteria! There was screeching noises from the table legs scraping the floor, but what was Leo supposed to do? He couldn't leave his things over there.
But finally, he sat down with a satisfied sigh on the chair opposite James. And smiled at the man.

"So, what was that intriguing tune you were playing, hm?" he scooped up a piece of lasagna on his finger and put it in his mouth. "Want some?"

This man was a curious sort. It would be easy to feed off his enthusiastic vibes and open honesty. James smiled a smile that lit up his usually tense features. “Abstract vibes and emotions.” He said softly in reference to his painting. James had tried the same with music but it always ended up sounding like a Fwooper mating call. Not pretty.

Leo is was then. It was rather difficult trying to get used to all this first name business in the Ministry. His boss had also insisted on being called by her first name and James was struggling no end to get used to such informality. “Leonardo. One of the great muggle Masters. Are you named after him?” He asked curiously.

His eyes went wide and he looked around the cafeteria anxiously as the Leo proceeded to haul his entire table over to James's and drew all eyes to them. He cringed at the screeching sound of metal against stone. How silly of James! He should have got up and gone over there – Leo couldn't leave his easel. But the Mexican looking man seemed happy enough as he took a seat and sat in a relaxed way as if he did that sort of thing all the time. Maybe he did. He didn't appear to have any inhibitions whatsoever.

He subconsciously patted strings of his ukulele when Leo referred to it. “La Folia.” He said and found himself blushing again. He wasn't used to such compliments. “Do you play any instru...” He paused mid sentence as Leo very kindly offered him some of his food. He waved his hand and had to stop himself from retching. That was... meat. Animals. "No thanks." He said politely. “I-I'm vegetarian. Would you like some fruit salad?” He asked pushing the bowl towards the man.

Abstract vibes and emotions. Leo raised an eyebrow at the man. That was DEEP! Shees. He did seem the sort who really took time to...live. And not afraid to experiment? Even awesomer. Maybe he wouldn't mind if Leo asked him about an idea. He was MOST intriguing.

He was quite ignorant to James'...continued uncomfortable-ness when he had dragged the table along. "Ah, yes. I am." He chuckled when he answered the young man's question. "My parents...they were a creative bunch. Named me and my leetle sister after other artists." He liked it. Alot. It matched his lifestyle, even though he knew no one could be as great as the...Great Da Vinci.

Oh...La Folia. "That is very interesting. Please, don't stop playing. It was quite beautiful." He smiled and gestured to the little guitar with his hand. He looked up from his LASAGNA! when James asked something, though he didn't get to hear all of it. Oh, a no to the lasagna?
Leo blinked at the man. "I am sorry!" Eeek. "Do you mind if I eat it? I could toss it away." Or...y'know, send it over to his office ofcourse. Who would DO such a thing. Toss a lasagna. Pffft.

Fruit salad! Leo was liking this man more and MORE! "Oh, dear, oh how i LOVE fruit." He put a hand to his heart. "I would LOVE some. But thankyou kindly - a man cannot live on fruits alone. If only." He chuckled lightly. He had been eating fruits all morning. Time for a break, si?

Was James going to eat?
If not, he would like his help. "Tell me James, do you like paintings?" Blink. "When you play...what do you see?" Hmmm? Leo raised both his eyebrows at this, looking at the man intently.

Silas walked into the cafeteria for the first time in his short time at the Ministry and took a look around, taking in the general seating plan of the place and looking over the few people who were sat there. He ordered a coffee and then went over to an empty table to drink it. He prefered to sit at a table alone, at least on his first visit to these sorts of places, so that he could get more of a feel for the place. Of course if anyone asked to sit with him, he would actually quite like that though. He just wasnt very confident with asking to sit with others when he was new and probably not going to understand their conversations. If they wanted to sit with him though, it was a different matter altogether.

He placed his coffee on the table and added a few spoonfuls of sugar, then stirred it manually. Normally he would have used magic but he half felt like he was being stared at as he wasnt normally there so he wanted something to take his mind off the people around him. He was a fairly confident person when he had been somewhere for a while or when he had friends, even, but when he was alone he could be quite shy. It was rather surprising for someone who worked in Magical Security to be shy but in a situation where he needed to use his security skills, he was more than confident because the field itself was something he knew a lot about. The whole setting at the moment was new and scary to him, though, and therefore he acted like a shy school kid.

Pippa Norcott had taken a break from her level 5 employees and, on her lunch break in early Spetember she found herself heading down towards the Ministry Cafeteria. Somewhere she hadn't ventured in ALL her months working here, in this building. It seemed she never ventured very far and of course she knew she didn't anyway. Scared of getting lost, she was.

After getting some lunch --a pumpkin pasty and a bottle of apple juice, namely-- she decided it was time to NOT sit alone for lunch, and to join someone at their table. Make friends. It was what she needed to do, per se.

It seemed people had already grouped off and were deep in conversation, all apart from one man; and Pippa was totally all for making conversation with men. She was a woman, afterall. Heh. She headed over in his general direction and smiled as she weaved through different tables, past different people, avoiding interrupting their conversations. Once Pippa was behind a chair opposite him, she smiled and spoke. "Mind if I sit here?"

Silas looked up at the woman, rather surprised that anyone would be even mildly interested in sitting with him, but of course it was the perfect time to meet someone talk-to-able if they were willing to start the conversation. "No, I don't mind," he said to her, smiling at her in an attempt at hiding his shyness. "I'm Silas Emmett, by the way," he said, offering her a hand in order to be sure he was being as polite as he could towards her.

He decided he ought to stop stirring the coffee now and concentrate more on her rather than on distracting himself. He placed the spoon in the saucer and then instinctively straightened his tie; something he always did when he was nervous. He was an overly tidy person in the first place, often getting stressed if so much as a millimetre of paper was out of place and when he was stressed he was even more tidy. It was just a characteristic of his, he supposed. It was often a subconscious thing he didnt even realise he was doing though.

James' focus was now completely on Leo, his eyes wide and child like as he listened to him. He seemed very world wise to the sheltered James. “What is your sister called?” He asked totally engaged by the man.

He wanted him to continue playing? He looked at his ukulele and back at Leo. He wasn't used to having a captive audience. He hesitantly picked up the instrument. “You like George Harrison?” He asked and proceeded to play very softly as not to disturb the other folk in the canteen.

When he had finished, he placed the instrument back on the table and sighed contentedly. He smiled and shook his head. “I don't mind. Just don't make me eat it.” He chuckled a little and popped a blueberry in his mouth. If James's skinny frame was anything to go by, you could live on fruit alone. “I eat other things too... vegetables, nuts, tofu.” And not much else if he was honest. Vegan was more of an accurate description; but that seemed to freak people out. And he got plenty of protein.. you know, sometimes...

He had pushed a strawberry into his mouth and nodded to Leo's question – yes – he enjoyed art work.. not so much the doing because he wasn't great at it; but he appreciated viewing it. His chewing slowed and then stopped when Leo asked him a very unexpected question. He stared at him and swallowed the contents of his mouth slowly. “W-what do I s-see?” He stammered out. That was like an invasion into his own little private cocoon, but he found that he didn't mind all that much. “It depends.” He said thoughtfully. “You play something like Here Comes the Sun and that's what you see – sunshine and a beautiful green summers day.” He paused as he imagined it. “But something classical; wordless without an image already planted in your mind – it's usually colour; light and shade; bright and subdued... or sometimes it's just me; alone with an instrument.” A world that was always safe and never scary. He looked at the man expectantly – waiting to see his reaction. Would he think he was a complete weirdo like most did? or would he understand? It was a difficult thing to convey and try and get someone to understand.

A fond smile grazed his lips. "Frida. Yes...my little sister." Aw, he missed her. But she was off on her own adventure somewhere. "Do you have any siblings?" He asked with slightly raised eyebrows.

Oh, he was going to play! Lovely! Leo smiled encouragingly, and when James decided to pick up the ukelele, he stretched out in his seat and locked his hands behind his head, crossing his ankles. George Harrison. Leo simply smiled, not wanting to disturb the young man and ended up closing his eyes as he played. Ah, lovely tune, just fantastic.

Awww, the music stopped. It took a moment for Leo to come to this conclusion but finally opened his eyes and proceeded to clap. "Beautiful! Fantastico, you, my friend, are a wonderful ukelele player."
But good, the man didn't mind him eating the lasagna! Woo! "Oh, no worries. I like my lasagna, I hardly ever share." he winked to signal he was joking. BUT ack! He had offended James! "Oh, I did not men to offend you," once again, Leo put a hand to his chest, "And I am sure you eat plenty off healthy things." He nodded, scanning him, not minding that the action might be uncomfortable to James. Meh, they were all humans... "I meant I couldn't eat only fruits... I love fatty food. Hehe." HEHE!

Putting his elbow against the table and resting his head in his hand, Leo regarded James, waiting for the answer. And it came. And whoa it came. Sure thing James was like the deepest person Leo had met. He couldn't help but smile goofily at the wonderful descriptions the man was throwing out there. Oh how he wanted to be laying in a meadow on a summer's day. Sigh. Hm, him alone and his instrument? Well, he did seem like a shy person... He met his gaze for a moment. Gosh he was deep. But suddenly a hand appeared infront of them both, holding a brush. It was Leo's, ofcourse. "Want to paint it?" Oh please please please please. Hehehe. He turned to the easel on the table, wishing his wand, he made a new blank canvas thingy appear. "Go ahead. It would be wonderful to be able to see what you see."

Frida. What a lovely name, and judging by the smile on Leo's face, Leo missed his sister. “Where are you from?” He asked and then his cheeks went pink – was that rude? “I mean.. you're not a Brit, are you?" And Leonardo and Frida certainly weren't run of the mill British names.

He nodded to Leo's question. “I have six brothers and one sister.” Seven siblings and James was bang in the middle. Truth be told, he had always felt like an outsider in his family – his siblings spent much of their time vying for attention whereas James preferred to go off into a world of his own.

He opened his eyes when he had finished playing to find that Leo had also closed his eyes. There was a pause before he began to clap and James smiled broadly. “Thank you.” He said bowing his head humbly.

James laughed a little at the comment about the lasagne getting it was a joke through the man's joviality. He felt at ease with this man.. more than with most and he assumed that was down to the man's huge personality – it compensated for James's shyness. “No offence taken.” He said gently. He smiled softly – fatty food. He looked like he enjoyed food as much as life.

James waited. He blinked and waited some more and then gaped at the older man. “Puh-paint it?” He echoed not so as clearly as Leo delivered the word. “Oh..” He waved both hands and shrank in his seat a little. “I-I'm no artist.” he said with an awkward laugh. “I would destroy your canvas.” A four year old could do better than James. But the next thing Leo said made James stop waving his hands. This man wanted to see what he saw? Nobody had ever asked him anything like this before. He stared, open mouth as he contemplated Leo's 'offer.'

He was still thinking when James made him focus on the present again. Blunt question, Leo raised his eyebrows, he LIKED it! He grinned, "No, I am not born here... I was born in Mexico City." He nodded, his grin softening. "Yep, the land of Guacamole and Mariachis!" He then proceeded to whistle as if he was in a party, cheering, in his homecountry. Hehehe.
"And...I'm going to take a guess that you are from the United Kingdom?" He had a cool accent, this man. "Scotland?" He cocked an eyebrow.

Whoa. That was NOT a little family. "Ohhh, that is a big familia." Leo nodded impressed. "You get along with all your brothers?" Heh, speaking from experience, he knew siblings could drive eachother mad. Snort.

Ah, this man knew how to enjoy a jest. That is very good in Leo's opinion. The last thing he wanted was to be around people who had a stick up their...yeah. But he did seem quite surprised at the idea he had. Leo had to work hard not to show his grin he was trying to hide from the man.
"Pffft," Leo made a face to show he did not believe what James was saying about himself. "Ofourse you're an artist! You play the ukelele and speak like no one's business." He nodded his head to the brush still in his hand, next looking at James. Destroy his canvas... Ay! "IF you end up destroying the canvas...I have no idea how that's possible," he mumbled the last part, "You can buy me one of those fruit salads. Si?" Best offer EVER. Right?

Allright, there had been enough staring to feed the population of scorpios in Mexico...or something. Leo reached over the table and made to put the brush in James' hand. "There you go. What color would you like to use? Red? Blue? Or, perhaps silver. That's a pretty popular color. I think it's because its so SHINY." He put on a goofy face and opened his eyes wide.

"You know how to paint?" Well, it wouldn't hurt to ask, right? And he didn't ask in a frustrated manner, but rather curious, to see if he could need some tips.

Yeahhh, Mr White! Yeah science!

James looked at Leo with awe. He'd never ever been to a city before. He was from the Land of Guacamole and Mariachis – it sounded like an enchanting place where the sun always shone and everyone was shiny and happy. “Is the Land of Gwah-Guacamole and Mariachis a muh-muggle city?” he asked, thinking that was the name of the place this man was from. He was thoroughly ignorant about most muggle things. He watched the man as he got so excited about his home country and smiled – no.. Leo really didn't have any inhibitions, did he? He nodded to both the man's questions directed at him. “Yes and Yes.” He said. “I grew up in a wizarding town near Edinburgh.” Not much else to tell about that really, except that he was glad he didn't live at home any more.

Did he get along with all his siblings? He nodded. He supposed he did – although he did sometimes feel quite intimidated by them... his half brother especially, but he figured that was his own problem and not theirs. Emily was his favourite sibling - she was very protective of her family; and she had the most time for James - visiting him between studies to make sure he was getting on okay.

“Oh.. yeah.. I'm an artist when it comes to music.” He agreed blushing at his own lack of modesty. Although he failed to mention to the man that he could play a whole host of other musical instruments. He blinked – he spoke like no one's business? - he could hardly string together a coherent sentence at times! He chuckled and agreed to buying the gentleman a fruit salad should he 'destroy' the canvas.

The next thing he knew, the brush had been pushed into his hand and he was gripping it. He eyed it like it may bite him and looked back at Leo. “D-do I have to use this?” He asked. “I mean I-I can.. b-but I would feel happier using..” And he held up a delicate, long fingered hand. “I think it would be easier if I'm going to be slapping on blocks of colour.” He said and then smiled awkwardly. He looked at the paints on the table and selected red and blue and black, then looked at Leo for his professional artistic approval.

Leo blinked and turned his head towards James. Was he...serious? Ohmygosh, that went straight to tugh him in the heart. He was like a litte boy! IT WAS ADORABLE. Chuckling, he decided to answer, "Oh, no no. Pardon the confusion. Guacamole is a type of food you eat. And Mariachi's are people dressed up in like a...cowboy uniform and the traditional big round hat." His hands went to form a big thing on his head. "They sing songs and play instruments. It very pretty." Nod nod. "I can lend you a cd someday."
Oh, Edinburgh. "Ah, looovely place." He nodded with a smile. The kid didn't seem to want to say more about it, so Leo let it be.

"That's good!" James got along with this brothers and sister. That was nice. "I remember when I used to get chased around the house by my sister, Frida." He chuckled. "I had taken her diary. The things we kids do." He was aware of using the word 'we' - he still thought of himself as younger.

Oooooooooh! Leo grinned and pointed at James, at the sudden confidence the man blurted out. "Aaaah! See? What did I say..." Hehe. Awesome, agreement accepted. He nodded once and then wiggled his eyebrows. Let the destroying of canvas, begin!
Gosh, James looked kind of frightened. Chuckling softly, Leo was about to tell him it wouldn't BITE, but he was caught off by his question. He wanted to use his hand? "Ay, por- but ofcourse you can, James!" He took back the brush and watched the boy grab the colors, giving him an encouraging nod.

"Looking good, amigo." He nodded more, looking satisfied. Then he started in a softer tone, "Now, just imagine you're playing your ukelele. Feel the flow of the different music notes you play...how they rise and fall - how they stand still - then holding that moment, taking advantage of their espace..."

Regarding the young man for a moment, he waited for him to begin his creation.
