Level 4 Work Areas and Cubicles Here is the work area of all three divisions of Level Four: Beast, Beings, and Spirits. There are cubicles for all the employees and slightly larger desks at the back of the room for the respective Division Heads. All work is to be done here. Though, there may be the occasional cute fluffy creature strolling by your desk, providing a distraction. Off to the far left of the room is another door, this one leading to the Holding Room. Here is where any out of control creatures are detained until further action can be made. |
Nikos strolled into the new work area and looked around. The place seemed so organized and bigger than his previous work space. He knew that they were changing the workspace but he didn't know what to expect, though he did like the idea of being in the same room as the other divisions and thier heads. He saw no point in deciding which cubicle he would take for his raven, who had been perched on his shoulder, flew over to a decent sized one by the window. Following suit he walked over to his new work space and place a box of his belongings on the chair. With a flick of his wand he attached Marigold's silver perch on his side of the cubicle. He pulled two pictures out of the box, one of him with his parents and the other of him with his late fiance, and placed them where the sunlight hit the desk. Finally he pulled out supplies he would need for work and a few poetry books. Nikos placed the box under his desk and sat down, rolling back the sleeves of his black thermal shirt, which went well with his black jeans and shoes, and picked up one of his books to read while he waited for more people to arrive or an assignment. |
Chad scratched his nose gently as he looked over the room. He wasn't exactly enthused about these changes to his department set up, but he knew that it would sink in eventually. Noticing that Nikos had been one of the first employees to set up camp at his desk, Chad approached. "What do you think," Chad asked, looking around the room again. |
Using his finger as a bookmark, Nikos looked up from his book when he heard footsteps. He leaned back in his chair and thought about the question as he glanced around the room. Truth was he didn't know how he felt about the new arrangements. Shrugging his shoulders he looked at his boss."Its fine I guess. Gonna take some getting used to, especially working in the same room as the other divisions. Might I inquire the reason for the change?"Turning his chair so that his entire body faced Stryker, waiting for an anwser as he caressed Marigold's feathers. |
Elliot walked into office and was shocked. Everything had been changed and he recieved NO memo about it. He saw Nikos sitting in a cubicle and moved over to him. "What happened? Did you know about this?" Elliot was upside down, he didn't like it all, probally because it totally was unexpected. "Hey Nikos...I need to talk to you about something later on...okay?" Elliot had something he wanted to ask him. |
Chad crossed his arms across his chest and shrugged gently. "I believe they mentioned something about it allowing you to be more interactive," he answered in his soft French accent. "I assure you...you'll warm up to it eventually. I was not very enthusiastic about it either, but I warmed up to it eventually. I am certain that the cute little creatures running around add a nice touch," he smiled, as a little kneazle scooted by his foot. |

Waltzing into the room while humming a catchy tune, Lilah twirled her way around a few people, making sure that none of the things she was caring dropped onto the floor, and finally made it to her desk. Sitting down, she placed the various items she was holding onto the table and...paused. Something, was not right. Standing up, she looked around the place, and her eyes widened after each pausing second. What was this? The room...was bigger. And a lot messier though organized and clean at the same time. It was, strange, and new to look at. Something, was definitely up, and she would get to the bottom of this. Narrowing her icy blue eyes as she continued to look at each new addition to the room, she slowly, (and I mean slowly), sat back down in her seat, deciding not to say anything as of yet. Eh, she'll get used to it, whatever this change was. And...OMG was that a kneazle!?? HOW CUUUUUTE! Oh yes, she'll definitely get used to the change. |
He was running out of rooms to use as space to well, run through. It was his second round through the ministry, and the game of tag was still on. He had to say, he hadn't entirely expected it to work in distracting the poltiergiest from pelting random workers with paperweights and books, but it had taken and it was working. So, as long as she wanted to play, he would play, until she was satisfied enough not to start throwning things again; then, maybe they could hold other communication besides grins and laughter. Not that he minded those in the least, in fact, he preferred them, it was just a little difficult to do while trying to catch his breath. Pushing open the doors to the new Beastry division, Torio spun on the balls of his feet, his red scarf and long black jacket curling around him as he waited for the poltiergiest to come through the door. Out of breath but still grinning from ear to ear, he gave the others in the room a small wave; saying anything required too much valuable air. He had admit though, that this was the most fun he had ever had on the first day of a job. |
A new day, meant yet another day of work. This was what she had been hopig for? Really? Work was starting to get on her nerves, she needed a vacation. Kalee was walking through the hall of the fourth floor, reading todays prophet. Arrving outside the door that lead to her office, she grabbed the handle and turned it, not once looking up from the article she was reading. Hello! There was a very important article on her favorite qudditch star! Pushing the door open, Kalee walked inside and walked over to her desk. Or at least where her desk used to be. She dropped her bag on her used to be there desk, but heard a thump. Finally Kalee looked up. "More changes?" She asked looking around the place. "I was just starting getting used to the old det up." |

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The poltergist had still not lost interest in playing with the young wizard and was still flying after him, giggling all the while. It was a vast improvement from the shreiking, throwing articles and havoc that she had been causing earlier. As she came into the room after him she gave a loud scream and charged forward , her demure see through hand held out to tag him. She was still looking for mischief, though she seemed to be behaving ......for the moment. |

"Ah ha! There you are!" Torio beamed at the poltergist as she made herself present in the room. "I was wondering if I had lost you on that last flight of stairs. They're tricky little--whoaa!" He jumped to the side as he threw his arms up in the air above his head, just barely missing her attept to tag him. Although really, if she swung her arm just a little to the right, his side was right there, all ready to be tagified. Grinning down at the ghost, he took the spare moment to stretch, rising up on his tipi-toes and extending his fingers toward the ceiling. "You know. I still don't know your name. I can't go around calling you Polty." |
Derfel walked, unblinking into the new office area, looking for an unoccupied cubicle, finding one next to another in his division, he immediately set out his things, smiling greetings at his colleagues |
Misty stood in the doorway of the new and improved office. To her, it was not new and improved..but cluttered. Why were all the divisions in the same room? This meant she would most likely have to communicate with even more people. Great. Slowly walking to an empty desk, Misty tried her hardest not to step on whatever animals were running around. Where was her Poseidon at? She was not careful enough on her trek, and stepped on the tail of a kneazle, who immediately let out a long and ferocious hiss-growl. "Outta my way then.." she called out to it, even though it was already running far away from her. Sitting at her desk, she watched the kneazle run off, then took a quick scan of the room. Stopping at the sight of the same blasted poltergeist, Misty let out a long exaggerated sigh. Is was still here? Doesn't anyone know how to get rid of her? Oh Merlin, Misty needed a vacation. |

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rinatta had been watching carefully to make certain that her employee didn't get hurt while dealing with the poltergist. Though she seemed calm for the moment , Rin knew from experience that it didn't nessesarily mean anything. She sipped her coffee watching them calmly, she wore heels today as she was still getting used to the idea of wearing them. As she went to get something off of her new desk though, a kneazle interupted her path ,causing her to trip and fall forwards, as she was not so good in heels yet, and splash her coffee through the poltergist and down the front of Torio. She was really disliking the new office design at the moment. |

Reaching back he put a hand on a desk to steady himself so as not to fall over. It was a good thing too, for no sooner had he done so than a woman tripped towards them. His first instinct was to push away from the desk and snap his arms out and around the poltergiest to catch the woman by the arms. Heat seared through the front of his clothes, scalding his skin as the black liquid jumped from the woman's cup to greet him. A small yelp of pain and surprise left his throat as he arched his back to try and peel his skin away from the soaked fabric, still maintaining a firm hold on the woman's arms. |
Hanna slowly entered the new office. It looked much different than the way she was used to and had trouble finding her cubicle. It was much different, yes, but Hanna could deal with the changes. As she entered her cubicle, a puffskein zoomed across her desk and jumped ontop of her chair. Picking it up lightly, the puffskein began to squirm in her hands. Hanna slowly lowered it back onto her desk and gasped as a yelp came from the hallway. Peeking her head out of her cubicle, Hanna raised her eyebrows in confusion as she turned and saw a man soak with coffee, while holding onto a poltergiest, and the new department head, Rinatta Ravenna Cross trying her best to stand up still. |
Nessa entered the office again after going out into diagon alley. Her eyes widened at the sight of a man drenched in coffee. And apparently some kind of poltergeist running around. She pulled out her wand and pointed it at the man soaked with coffee. "Evanesco, Episky!" she cast. At least he wasn't covered in coffee anymore, and the Episky spell ought to have helped the burns a little. "Are you alright?" she asked. |
"Good thinking." Hanna said in her rich Icelandic accent. "Here, this should help the burns." she said as she pointed her vine wand at the man-drenched-in-coffee's chest and muttered, "Burnducto.", under her breath. "Better?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. |
"Good job." Nessa commented. She switched her wand into her left hand and held out her right. "Nessa Denauve, and you are?" she asked the girl. Apparently the poltergeist was still running around. She felt something bite her ankle and she yelped in pain. "Owwww! Stupid poltergeist!" apparently, it didn't like that so it bit her other ankle. "Crap. she muttered. She switched her wand back into her right hand and pointed it at the poltergeist. "Confrigo!" but the stupid little thing was too quick and the spell hit a potted plant which therefore blew up. Then she felt it bite her ankles again. "Stop that!" Nessa yelled. |

for my lovely division head Mathius walked into the department work area. Avoiding the people around him, he took a seat at a cubical and put his head in his hands. What was he doing here? He was not a people person. Pulling out his wand, he shuddered. He had avoided magic like the plague most of his life. Taking a quill to a piece of parchment, he wrote out: Quote:
He tapped it with his wand and told it to go to his Division Head. Placing his wand on his desk, he watched it fly away and settled back with a book on plants. |
