Minister for Magic The Minister for Magic is the leader of the Wizarding Community within Great Britain and the United Kingdom. The Minister oversees all action within the Ministry and subsequent departments. The Minister meets regularly with the Senior and Junior Undersecretary and all Department heads regarding the implentation of new and current laws and general governing of the British Magical community. The Minister also chairs the Wizengamot to pass Wizarding Laws or to hear and weigh in on important trials. They also correspond with the British Prime Minister of any ongoings on the wizarding world that may affect the region as a whole. Hollingberry, Charles [biography] Senior Undersecretary The Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic is responsible for all other divisions and employees within Level One, the Minister's Office. The SU meets regularly with the Minister for Magic and the Junior Undersecretary and Ministry Advisers regarding the implementation of new laws and general governing of the British Magical community. The SU also coordinates and communicates with the Media Liaisons, Internal Liaison Supervisor, Magical Maintenance Supervisor, Public Services Commissioner and Education Office Supervisor. The Senior Undersecretary reports directly to the Minister. James, Genevieve [biography] Junior Under Secretary The Junior Undersecretary assists the Senior Undersecretary in coordinating and communicating with the Media Liaisons, Internal Liaison Supervisor, Magical Maintenance Supervisor, Public Services Commissioner and Education Office Supervisor. The JU also monitors the Job Task Board to ensure that all tasks are being followed through with in a timely manner. They answer only to the Senior Undersecretary and the Minister for Magic. Kim, Jonathan [biography] Personal Assistant to the Minister; Ministry Scribe The Personal Assistants report to the Senior and Junior Undersecretaries and work on tasks delegated to them accordingly. Tasks may include paperwork, interviews, meetings, minutes, coffee runs, travel arrangements, appointments and so on. The Personal Assistants may also help the Minister when requested. The Ministry Scribes shadow the Minister and Senior and Junior Undersecretaries when needed and completes all documentation tasks for them. They take notes at level meetings, division meetings and other meetings as necessary. They also annotate any dictated or written information given to them and are responsible for clearly recording and archiving all information. The Ministry Scribes report to the Junior Undersecretary. Kaiser [biography] Receptionist The Level One Receptionist and Secretary responds to assignments given by the Minister, and Senior and Junior Undersecretaries. The Receptionist receives and responds to general owl messages (simple questions or requests from the public), attends to tasks at the front desk of the Minister of Magic's Office (greets and directs visitors, responds to general questions), and may be assigned the task of creating, sending out, and or delivering notices and letters from the Ministry and/or Minister's Office. Potter, Alana [biography] Ministry Gift Shop Attendant The Ministry Gift Shop Attendant is hired through the Minister's Office, but will work in the Ministry Gift Shop, which represents all levels within the Ministry (located in the Atrium). She/He will be expected to maintain its appearance and content, as well as the cleanliness within the shop. This basically means she/he will be checking inventory, stocking shelves, sweeping and wiping counters, as well as making sure the merchandise remains appropriate to the standards of the British Ministry of Magic. Amstern, Regina [biography] Ministry Daycare/Nursery Attendants The Ministry Daycare/Nursery Attendants are a part of the Daycare Sector, and as such are under the direction of the Daycare/Nursery Supervisor, AS WELL AS the Senior Undersecretary. They are primarily responsible for the following tasks: attending to the health and welfare of Ministry workers' children during regular business hours, organizing activities for the children that will promote learning and creativity (in all ages), and the general upkeep and sanitation of the Daycare. It will also be the Daycare/Nursery Attendants responsibility to make sure all forms have been filled out promptly for parents/children new to the Ministry Daycare (see CHILDCARE AGREEMENT FORM for further information). Marchand, Gaston [biography] Ministry Healers Ministry Healers are a part of the Healer Sector, and as such act under the direction of the Department of Specialties Division Head. As a Healer in the Ministry, they are responsible for the following tasks: organizing and recording patient data; administering potions and treatments to Daycare and Nursery children, as well as employees inside the Ministry; proper disposal of implements and potion vials (when necessary); and keeping track of supplies used. They will also be responsible (and held accountable) for any severe ailments brought about by negligent 'Healer practices.' Healers must answer directly to the Department Head, who will evaluate them individually at the end of each Ministry term. Reed, River [biography] Media Liaisons The Media Liaisons coordinate with the Commissioner to stay up to date on Ministry publicity. They will also liaise with the Wizarding Media (Daily Prophet, Quibbler, etc.) and act as spokesperson regarding official ministry stances, particularly where the Minister or relevant department head is unable to speak. They also attend all press conferences and work with department heads to ensure the right face is presented on sensitive issues. The Press Secretary in particular is the first face of the Ministry in all official correspondence and works closely with the Minister and Senior Undersecretary to present the Ministry in the best possible light. Fawley, Joseph PRESS SECRETARY [biography] Magical Maintenance Workers General Magical Maintenance are a part of the Ministry Maintenance Sector, and as such act under the Magical Maintenance Supervisor. Tasks executed by this area of the Maintenance Sector include, but are not limited to, broken elevators, jammed doors, bathroom repairs, cleaning/upkeep, etc. The Maintenance staff perform tasks on all levels of the Ministry and will be seen regularly frequenting said levels. Bernett, Kenji [biography] Student Aid Advisers The Student Aid Advisers help less fortunate students and their families with finances for attending Hogwarts and Wizarding University. They create budget plans with the families for their student and create an allowance per student to pay for books and supplies and all other school-related finances as necessary. Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement The Department Head of Magical Law Enforcement is tasked with the day to day running of level 2 and must be familiar with all aspects of the divisions which the position oversees. Extensive knowledge of magical law, defensive magic, magical history--among other things--are necessary, and leadership skills are a must. The Department Head will liaise with the Minister of Magic but is required to make decisions which affect Wizarding Britain independently, and take responsibility for all particulars which fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. The Department Head must sit on the Wizengamot and other interdepartmental committees and boards from time to time as a consultant. At least seven NEWTS, qualifications at a university level, and at least seven years experience in the industry are required for this position. Paton, Franklin [biography] Breach Investigators A Breach Investigator will have good knowledge of magical laws and standards in regards to defensive and protective charms, potions and objects. Operational and field experience is required. 5 OWLs or further study in Higher Wizarding Education is required. A IUMO Investigators will meet set objectives, participate in investigations and undercover operations, and work to develop specialist skillsets within the field such as: charm detection and analysis, potion and magical ingredient identification, and magical mechanics and artifact repair. Latimer, Selene SENIOR [biography] Hit Wizards/Witches A Hit Wizard/Witch will be certified in all aspects of Law Enforcement and criminal apprehension. A Hit Wizard/Witch must possess a thorough knowledge of magical laws and standards in regards to the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations. At least three years of training, or experience within this field or similar is required to be considered for the role. 5 OWLs, including Defence Against the Dark Arts, are required to get into the Hit Wizard training program, which will take three years to complete. Applicants must be at least seventeen years of age to begin training. A fully qualified Hit Wizard/Witch must have passes in the following core training subjects to be accepted into the British Ministry; Defensive Charms and Counter-Curses, Advanced Magical Combat, Arrest and Take Down, Magical Law and Legislation, Covert Magical Operations, Questioning and Interrogation and Magical Criminal Profiling. A Hit Wizard is responsible for enforcing criminal law, conducting investigations, and conducting arrests of criminals. The Hit Wizard/Witch will cooperate with other MLE divisions where required, liaise with other departments as required, and meet objectives set by the MLEP Chief Inspector and Magical Law Enforcement Department Head. They may be required to actively patrol areas of Wizarding Britain and provide extra manpower at the request of the Auror Office. Specialist skills held by an individual will dictate other assignments such as undercover operations, internal investigations, and hostage negotiations. Ackerly, Matilda [biography] Pensieve Review Specialists A Pensieve Review Specialist will have excellent observational skills, a good working knowledge of Ancient Runes and magical items, and a strong understanding of potions and charms, and how each of these work in tandem with each other. Further studies in the mind and memory-related magic are looked upon favourably. Recommended fields of study include Ancient Runes, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Potions. The Pensieve Review Specialist will study and analyse all memories collected from witnesses and suspects associated with alleged crimes. They will keep detailed records of even the smallest details in a memory and study the structure of the memory itself to check for any tampering. Pensieve Review Specialists often spend hours revisiting the same memories to look for new information that might have been missed and must possess a keen eye for detail that is not tempered by familiarity. If needed, they will correspond with the Memory Restoration and Retrieval Bureau within the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. Hirase, Kevin [biography] Aurors An Auror must possess a thorough knowledge of magical laws and standards regarding the Statute of Secrecy and Muggle relations, as well as pass stringent suitability tests and have no criminal record. The minimum requirement is 5 NEWTs at E level or higher in Charms, Defence against the Dark Arts, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration. Proficiency in Stealth and Tracking, Advanced Magical Combat, and Concealment and Disguise as well as a minimum of five other specialist subjects studied during the Auror recruitment programme are required. Aurors participate in operations within the Auror Office, cooperate with other department divisions where required, liaise with other departments as required, meet objectives set by the Magical Law Enforcement Department Head, execute investigations and undercover operations where necessary, and may be required to perform specialist bodyguard duty. Ackerly, Ariadne TRAINEE (YEAR 1) [biography] Carter, Ronan HEAD [biography] Carton, Normandie JUNIOR [biography] Grantham, Bernadette JUNIOR [biography] Grimm, Penelope SENIOR [biography] Melo, Gabriel Jr [biography] Paton, Nova TRAINEE (YEAR 1) [biography] Renaldi, Missa [biography] Security Officers A Security Officer will have undergone Ministry-approved security training. People skills are beneficial in this role as it will require interaction with many employees across the Ministry as well as with any visitors to the Ministry of Magic. A working knowledge of pertinent law and the magical law enforcement community is beneficial in this role. 4 OWLs are required including Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, and Transfiguration, and certification in Ministry Approved Security Training is necessary. A Security Officer may not hold a criminal record of any kind. A Security Officer will be assigned to patrol and guard particular areas of the ministry or sites of ministry interest around Wizarding Britain. Security Officers will work with Ministry Sentinels and Internal Investigations Liaisons as necessary and are required to work at the direction of the Head of Security and Magical Law Enforcement Department Head as needed. Bennett, Simon HEAD [biography] Łaska, Tomasz [biography] Wizengamont Administrative Assistants The Wizengamont Administrative Assistant role requires people skills, clerical skills, and organisation skills. 5 OWLs are required in any subject. Further training in Magical and Muggle Prosecution Law at a University level is beneficial but not required as this is an administrative assistant role. A working understanding of Magical Law and Regulations is beneficial. This role is an entry level position, but pay will be adjusted based on experience. The successful applicant will assist in all administrative tasks as required by the Wizengamot. The Administrative Assistant works at the direction of the Administrative Coordinator.
