DEPARTMENT OF MAGICAL TRANSPORTATION

Department Head of Magical Transportation
The Department Head of Magical Transportation oversees all things that involve magical forms of transport for all of Great Britain. Porkeys, Brooms, the Floo Network, Apparation, and the now legal use of flying carpets and other contraband all fall under the jurisdiction of the Department of Magical Transportation. Many great witches and wizards have held this position of Department Head and all have traits intended to be passed down to those left to come.

Administrative Branch
The Administration staff of the Department of Magical Transportation includes the Department Head, administrative assistant, liaison to the Ministry, and those tasked to work with the public (both magical and muggle) in terms of transportation.

Floo Network Authority
These skilled men and women F are in charge of monitoring the floo networks to assure no illegal activity is happening at any and all moments. If the floo system breaks down, it is also up to this department to fix the channels.

Apparition Examiners
These skilled men and women develop and administer the written test for an Apparition license. The Lead Apparition Instructor is responsible for performing the practical Apparition Tests and helping with all other tasks in Apparition.

Apparition License Issuers
These employees will create and issue the Apparition Licenses for witches and wizards that have passed the test apparition test.
Riggs, Marcel [biography]

Portkey Office
This coalition of men and women help create and regulate the popular form of magical transportation that are Portkeys. These items may seem like rubbish to the Muggle eye at first glance but these witches and wizards know the immense ability these things have. A list of all portkeys is kept to help keep the use of illegal portkeys at a minimum.
