Madeline jumped up and with amazing speed hurried to Jason's aid. She shook her head. She couldn't believe the actions of some of her employees sometimes. She hoisted Doyle into a chair and pulled out her wand. With a quick flick, Doyle was awake again. She couldn't image what he would say now.

"Alright, Jason, you know the spell, so go ahead and give it a shot," she said as she resumed her seat. "If it doesn't work, we can try it again and I'll add the spell as well, so the strength will double. And if that doesn't work, we'll have to try something else," she finished. "Whenever you're ready Jason. Doyle, I ask that you please sit still...I swear it will not hurt, and nothing can happen to you, I promise."

Jason smiled as a thank you the moment Madeline rushed to his side. Doyle was pretty heavy, he thought as he helped Madeline hoist him onto a chair. Closely watching as she had flicked her wand on Doyle to wake up, Jason took out his own wand and pointed it at the older man.

"Will do, ma'am." Jason grinned, walking a bit closer to where Doyle sat. Placing his wand between his eyes. "This won't hurt a--at all, sir." The nerd said with a smile, and with a quick wave, he muttered the spell. Waiting for a few seconds, he bent down on his knees and stared at the man. "Do you have a wife, Mr. Braxton?" Jason asked, hoping the man would answer with a yes. Usually, people do give him the correct answer. And at the moment, he hoped he'd get it again.

Doyle came to and was about to give the woman an earful when she interrupted is train of thought and insulted him yet again. "I know enough to stay still, Ma'am," he curtly answered and cleaned his glasses before the wizard stepped up and stuck his wand in his face. "I know it won't hurt but, I can still fear for the integrity of my..."

His final sentence was interrupted by the performance of the charm. His eyes went unfocused again and it took several moments before they cleared and Doyle could process what the wizard had asked. "Of course I do," he said, a bit confused.[/color]

Jason gave a sigh of relief once Braxton gave him an answer he wanted to here. Standing from his knees, he turned to face Madeline with a grin. "I think my job here is done. Mr. Braxton, I suggest you should lay down a little bit, since your head might be aching a bit," he told him, smiling down at the man. "And..." Jason started, "I suggest that you tell him every detail that happened to him, Miss Grau."

Thomas walked into his Ms. Grau's office to find it empty. He sighed. I guess I can just leave a note, she's nice and I'm sure she'll understand, he thought. He quickly wrote a note and placed it on her desk before leaving the office.

Speaking of which, I need to get Doyle back to Hogwarts soon so, he's going to move on.

"I don't have time for that. I need to speak with the Minister and get back to the school," Doyle announced, standing up, though he was a bit dizzy and out of sorts. he rested his hand on the back of the chair as he regained some of his equilibrium.

"Whoa, there, Doyle," Madeline said, standing up to place a supporting hand on the man's shoulder, "It looks as though the charm was successful. VERY nice work Jason," she said with a smile at her Obliviator. "It may take a few moments for you to get some of your strength back, but you'll be better in no time. I don't want to keep the Minister waiting so...you're free to go," she announced happily.

She gloomly turned to the ever growing pile of memo's on her desks. How had they slipped into her office? She was sure she had sealed the door shut...oh well, time to get back to work.

"Thank you," Doyle inclined his head as much as he was able before hurrying out of the office as quickly as he could safely move.

A memo containing details of a completed excuse lands gently on Madeline's desk:

Ivan's note circled around the office before coming to a crash landing on the desk, knocking over an ink pot. The top page was on his personal stationary, with this note jotted in semi-legible handwriting:

Just got this in my office. Any idea who Molly is? Maybe this is a job for the police?

Underneath Ivan's wrinkled note was the original missive:

*gaspth* What has happened to Madeline Grau? Something fishy is going on here...her office is empty and it looks like it hasn't been used in months. There are memos everywhere, and when you knock, there is no response. The only thing that gives you a hint to what is going on is posted on the door outside.

Dan had wanted to go and see his boss but then had a look at the notice. Somethings fishy very fishy. He went to poke his nose around for anything he could find.

Alicia knocked on the door and waited. She wanted to start work but didn't want to make the wrong impression.

She backed away from the door and stood, waiting. It opened.

"Hi, I start work here today... What am i doing first??" she asked nervously

"I'm new new girl that works here and i was wondering what i was supposed to do, and then i met this lovely young man here" She said smiling at the man standing next to her.

Alicia walked into the room further and stood ther waiting for a reply. She put her nicest smile waited.

Alicia looked from one man to the other with a confused look on her face.
"Umm... can i ask who Madam Guru is?"

She looked around her, taking in the room. She felt out of place because of her brightness. She raised her hand and flicked a strand of blue out of her vision.

"Ah, very nice to meet you," the man said with a grin. "I'm Ben Cobblesten, Department Head. As for what you're supposed to do...Maddie didn't leave me any memos that said any division actually had a mission going on at the moment, so I guess you'll just have to take that up with your Division head," he replied, taking out a framed photo of a young brunette girl holding tightly to the arm of an internationally known American Quidditch player. "What division might that be?" he asked the young woman.

"Madame Guru?" Ben asked, a confused look on his face. "Oh, you mean Maddie! Well, she was unfortunately laid off for being rude to Clara Belle a few months back when the Head of Hogwarts was admitted for memory modification. So, she was fired, and her salary was used to fund the two schools. Thank goodness my daughter doesn't go there anymore! My nephew, on the other hand, isn't too lucky...Gryffindor Prefect, you see, and he has had to deal with a few nasty Slytherin's the past few weeks."

He stopped and blushed when he realized he had been rambling. It was probably just nerves of being the new Head--yes, that was probably it. "It's nice to meet you Dan, Accidents and Catastrophes, huh? I hear they just got a new Head as well."
