"Good, then, this may need people who are expirienced in lying to pull this off."

"Ah-ah-ah..." Irene raised a finger, patting it to the side of her nose, winking, "Not a prank--legitimate scientific testing." She pulled a clipboard out of her desk, and picked up the folder containing the data. "Right, anyone wishing to come with me to choose our test subjects, come with me. The few people staying to operate the equipment, stay here. Any questions?"

"Nope, I'll help you with the subjects."

"I'll be here . . . " Jade directed to Irene, ". . . and one question; What excactly do you want us to do while your gone?" She wasn't sure if Irene wanted them to pepare for their 'guests' or if they were to contiune regular work, or just what were they supposed to do?

Mei Lin started tapping the table with her drawn wand. She was getting bored with all the discussion going on and didn't see why the couldn't just leave already. It felt like they had been discussing things forever and if it took much longer she'd be old and gray before they invaded any of the other departments. "Look can we leave now. I think the discussion has gone on for long enough so if you could just tell us where we're meant to be going I'm sure we'd much appreciate it." Mei Lin gave her boss a sweet smile that did little to hide her impatience with the current proceedings.

Alice Sumner took a shaky nervous breath, smoothing her skirt neatly as she walked into the Brain room, her dark eyes scanning the room, taking a look at her new work environment... her curious gaze lingering on the brains for a few moments longer than anything else.

She was a bit nervous being in a brand new department, but she did a pretty good job not showing it and she'd rather like to keep it that way... She didn't want her employees thinking she was a scaredy cat on the first day on the new job did she?

Right.

She stepped over to stand by a small desk on the far side of the room, a bulletin board above it and a chair behind it. The whole area looked a bit out of place among the white walls and especially the brains floating in their containment. Almost too normal, really... The new division head slipped her jacket off her shoulders, hanging it on the back of the chair before sliding a list from her briefcase, deciding it would be an appropriate first addition to the bulletin board. Alice fumbled with a tack lying on the desk and then leaned over her it to tack up a list of employees of the Brain Room....it would be an easy way to remember all their names anyway.

When she'd finished hanging the list of employees she placed a few more necessary things on the desk as well as her briefcase, which all the other things had come from, and let out a soft sigh turning around and facing the entrance to the Brain room as she awaited the arrival of her new employees. Alice tapped her foot impatiently, anxious to meet them. Bwaha she just hoped they hadn't come down with the plague or something as she waited... Or gotten eaten by some wild beast...Or fell in a cave...Or somehow managed to get lost in the ministry...

Maybe it would be a good idea just to stop thinking about all the possibilities. Pfffffttt, of course they were coming... Surely she would have been informed if anything had gone amiss. They should be here annnnny time now...

Roxxy Lapis walked into the brain room in a frantic sort of manner. "Alice I am so sorry that I'm late. I had something to a matter needing attention with my cousin Chalice. Her mom passed on and she needed some emotional support. It won't happen again." she said quickly. "Have I missed the new employees coming in for their 'interview'?" Roxxy asked. She remembered quite clearly her first happening as a brain room employee. She laughed softly at the memory.

Bwaha CYEAH!

Someone was heeeeere! Alice grinned happily as Roxxy walked in, glad to see at least one of her employees were here...though they'd need at least a few more for the experiment she was planning...

Hence the impatient foot tapping.

Alice checked her watch quickly as Roxxy explained her lateness, raising a thin eyebrow. "Sorry to hear about your loss...And don't worry bout' it." she told her calmly. She was only a few minutes late anyway. "At least your here." she added with a sigh, looking around at the empty room. surely the rest of her employees would be here any minute though. Well hopefully anyway.

Tap-Tap-Tap!

She gave the woman a rather puzzled look as she asked if she'd missed...new employees coming in? "The only new employee to the division here at the moment would be me, someone must have already informed you...You can call me Alice by the way, I'm the new division head for the Brain Room." she explained, indicating to her name tag, with the title written across it. "And which one of the people on this list," she began, now tapping on the 'List of employees' she had hung from the wall mere minutes ago. "would you be?" she asked curiously, giving her a warm smile.

"Oh and...If you'll wait just a moment here, I have a job for you, while we wait on everyone else to get here." Alice informed her, walking over to some of the brains merely floating around in a glass container in the middle of the room.

"Thanks for your condolences. It means alot." Roxxy told her. "I've never missed a day. Nor do I intend on doing so." she said. "You're the new division head. Nice to meet you." she said extending her hand in welcome. "I would be Roxxy Lapis." Roxxy told her. "Of course! The expirements and stuff with the brains is the fun part of working here!"

"No problem." Alice assured her, giving the other woman a polite nod. Showing sympathy was the only right thing to do when hearing news of another person's dead loved one anyway was it not?

As Roxxy informed her of her attendance record Alice smiled approvingly. "Sounds good to me." she commented, a note of contentedness in her voice as she spoke.

"Right. Nice to meet you as well, Ms. Lapis." she said formally, holding out her hand for the other woman to shake. As she mentioned the experiments, Alice shrugged her shoulders slightly. "Actually today, we'll be doing out research on actual people, following up an old experiment, really...Just out of curiosity, have you transferred the brains from their cylindrical preservation containers to the rectangular tank before?" she asked curiously. She knew of course from her training....but she wanted to know whether she needed to teach Roxxy how to or not.... They'd only just gotten a delivery from the Death Chamber and they'd need to move the brains from their temporary habitat's to their permanent place in the glass tank. It shouldn't take too long...and when they were done they'd be able to go on to the experiment. She just hoped her other employees would be soon so they didn't miss out on the fun... She was getting a bit impatient to tell the truth.

James entered the Brain Room, echoes of his empty footsteps sounding. He heard someone new had become the division head and he had to come to work atleast one day a month. He went over to Roxxy and the newbie talking. "Hello, I'm James." His low, booming voice echoed. James hand was out to shake the newbie's hand.

Alice let out a sigh of relief as another employee enter the room. It was about time, anyway. She let a welcoming smile slide across her face as he walked over to join them. As he introduced himself, extending his hand in greeting, she obliged, shaking his hand firmly, but politely. "Nice to meet you, And I would be, Alice Sumner, new Division Head." she informed him with a proud smile, before tugging her wand out of her robes. "As I told Roxxy, we'll wait for a few more people to get here and then we'll start the real experiment...I assume you guys know each other?" she asked, wondering if they needed to be introduced...Chances were they already were familiar with the other one though, being in the same division. However, it couldn't do any harm to ask.

"For now," she began, repeating herself. "We'll simply be transferring these brains from the Death Chamber into the bit tank in front of us." she explained simply. "The process is pretty easy...Beginning with a Bubble Head Charm." Alice informed them, waiting for the other two occupants of the room to cast the charm on themselves before the next part of the procedure. She pointed her wand at her forehead, and after a few whispered words and a flick of her wand, a rather large see through bubble formed around her head, severely distorting her features to whoever looked through.

"Nice to meet you. And yes, I believe we have met before." James looked down on both of them. He very well was sick of being tall, but he couldn't change that. He took his wand out and very well performed the bubble head charm with ease. His eyes moved quickly through the room. "May I ask what happened to the past Division head?" He rose an eyebrow, suspicious.

Alice nodded approvingly, giving the guy a satisfied nod as he answered her question. "Fantastic." she replied, smiling softly. When he asked what had become of the former division head, she simply shrugged. "I don't know anymore than you do on that matter." she informed him regrettably. "I'm sure she had a decent reason though." Alice assured him, noticing the look on his face. She didn't know what he was suspicious of, but she was positive she'd done the right thing in telling him he had no reason to wear that look on his face.

"Now," she began, walking briskly over to the thick glass preservation cylinders, containing old brains ",if you'll both join me over here by these brains, I'll explain how to move them into their new home. I assure you they don't bite." she requested, beckoning the two with a finger over to where she was standing. "I hope neither one of you are too squeamish." she added, eying them carefully.

Jade entered the room. Gently closeing the door behind her. She observed the people in the room as she advanced more and more into the room. Noticing the new division head, she gave a silent greeting by nodding her head. Jade was hoping that they wern't all here too much earlier. She didn't wan't to be to late. Athough, it seems they were just beginning. "I'm not arriving at an improper time am I?" She asked. Obviously hoping the answer was no. Although, Jade aways had a way of being in awkward positions.

Alice glanced around, unable to help the smile that spread across her face as yet another person joined them. Perfect...She wouldn't say no to a few more people, but at least no they'd have enough people to execute her plan. When the woman asked if she was late, Alice regarded her carefully, noticing the hopeful look on her face. "A little, but you're just in time to help us with this." she informed her, gesturing lightly to the brains in the cylinder containers. She smiled contently as she noticed that the she had closed the door behind her, pointing her wand at the knob. Within a few second a jet of light purple light shot across the room a satisfying clicking noise heard as the door locked itself. "That'll do." she muttered to herself, before turning back to Jade.

"Now, you're going to need to preform the bubble head charm, the chemicals used to preserve the brains can be dangerous." she explained once more, this time to Jade. "And for that same reason...please don't open or unlock that door until we're finished." Alice said, regarding each of them with a stern look so they knew she meant business.

She waited for Roxxy and Jade to go ahead and preform the spell so she could go on and explain further.

Roxxy performed the bubblehead charm and looked at Alice for further instruction. "Good day, Jade, James! How have you been?"

OOC-Sorry for the late response guys. I was waiting to see if anyone else would reply...we should probably be moving along so next time you post just make sure to clarify your character did the charm when she asked you too, before the Jars of Brains were opened. Plus, if any other members of the Brain Room not here would care to join us, knock on the door and Alice will let you in, . Just remember to knock, please.

She nodded approvingly as the others preformed the charm, slipping her wand from her pocket and aiming it at a few of the "brain jars" sitting against one wall off the room. "Accio Brain Temporary Portable Cyndrical Containment Chambers!" Alice spoke, wishing she could use her abbreviation when summoning it, and with a small flourish of her wand they were flying their way, precisely one container halting directly at each employee's feet, making hardly any noise as they did so.

"Alrighty then, assuming you've all preformed the bubble-head charm, we'll get started. First of all, we need to get these brains in there." she said, putting it in simple terms, all the while pointing to the giants rectangular prism filled to the brim with brains simply floating around. So fascinating. "I'm not sure if any of you have done this before, but it should be fairly simply, bearing in mind that you follow all my instructions. Don't think about any funny business...Uhmm, seriously, don't even think about anything but this, we don't want to mess up." Ahem, hem. So, cue the rant. And the bossiness. But she couldn't help it, wasn't that what being a boss was all about? Being bossy?

Whatever it was, and she was slowly getting used to it. She'd always been a pretty decent leader though.

Taking a deep breath she continued speaking. "Anyway, each of you will be working with one brain today...That's it, because we have other things to work on today as well. Each of you take one of these thing at your feet, BTPCCC's or put in a much... Ermmm, politically correct, and longer term Brain Temporary Portable Cyndrical Containment Centers. Tongue twister am I right? Follow my lead...and when I give you the cue take the lid off." she instructed solemnly. Alice took a deep breath and then did a flicking motion with her wand, causeing the room to fill with something a substance that was liquid-like, but also gas-like at the same time...and had an almost green tinge to it. Alice gave each of them a nod, the cue, slipped her wand into her deep robe pocket, and fitted her hands carefully around the lid, easily opening it up. The jar emitted purple colored fumes, undoubtedly a mix of the moisture from the brain and the preserves it was kept in. After watching the fumes be released with interest clear in her eyes she tore them away looking at her three present employees to be sure they were doing as she instructed.

Isabelle walked towards the large door and knocked on it a few times. It was her first day of work and she was extremely exited, but she was a bit apprehensive to; after all the department of mystery's was a bit dark, and it had taken her a while to find the brain room.

Alice couldn't help but smile slightly to herself as she heard a knock on the door, making her way over to the opposite side of the room with her wand secure in her left hand. The woman pointed it directly at the door, and as she unlocked it with a click, and it cracked slightly the bubble-head charm came flying at at the new employee so she wouldn't inhale any of the harmful substances now released into the air. Excellent.

She quickly ushered her in, shutting the door securely behind her and locking it once more. "Welcome to the Brain Room." she greeted Isabelle with a welcoming smile, leading her over to the other 3 present employees. "I'm Alice Sumner, Division Head of the Brain Room. You must be Isabelle, am I correct?" Alice asked curiously, looking her up and down. She knew she was to be expecting a new employee and was glad to see her here...The more the merrier.

Isabelle walked through the door slowly and looked around for a moment, and took in her surrounding before she replied"Nice to meat you Alice" Isabelle said shyly and then smiled. Alice seamed kind, and she was excited to finally be inside the brain room.

"You too." Alice replied, giving her a polite nod and trying to think of the best way to explain what they were doing. "We're just putting the brains in these," she started, pointing to the brains secured in the cylinders. "In that." As she spoke, she pointed to the big rectangular tank of brains. "Simple enough, right?" she asked, giving her an encouraging grin. "You need to put these on though." she added, handing her pair of the plastic gloves she'd already distributed to the others.

Deciding she'd bet get the brain she'd already taken out of it's preserves into the tank, Alice walked briskly over to the container, waiting a few more moments to be sure all the purple fumes were gone from the cylinder before picking it up, and tilting the container up to let the brain remaining inside slide out and plunge into the green chemicals, the brain floating around next to the other brains.

"Your turn now." she said, addressing Isabelle, and with a flick of her wand a container appeared at her feet, much like the ones at the feet of the other employees.

"Thank you for explaining all of this to me, i really appreciate it" Isabelle said sincerely as she put on the gloves that Alice had given her and smiled happily. This was not the usual thing to be doing on your first day at work, but then again Isabelle hadn't taken a job at the department of mystery's because she wanted the average job.
After putting on her gloves she looked down at the container curiously for a moment before she reached down and began to pull on the lid which came of easily, and watched, fascinated as fumes started to come out of the cylinder. Ounce all of the fumes where gone Isabelle walked over to the container and slowly poured her brain into the container where it began to float around along with the others. She lingered for a moment before walking away, as she stared at the contents of the container, wondering what they would be doing next.

"No problem," Alice replied, giving Isabelle a soft, encouraging smile. She was doing well...and she was doing everything right too. "Excellent job." she assured her, nodding with approval and eying her watching the brain float around. "We'll be taking a look at those soon." she added quietly, more to herself than anyone else.

Not for now though... Alice drifted back toward her desk, tearing a sheet of muggle paper neatly out of her notebook. The Division Head scribbled down a quick note to the Head of the Death Chamber to notify her plans to... pay a visit. With a flick of her wand and a whispered incantation the note was a paper top, spinning on the table, and then on the ground, under the door....

And off to the Death Chamber.

"We really must be moving along..." Alice said as she turned back around, to look at those whom still hadn't deposited their brains in the container to the thin silver watch on her wrist. "Need any help?" she asked them, inquisitively, raising a brow slightly.

It looked like a paper airplane, but the scented, purple memo was not even close to a muggle-child's bit of fun. The smooth, parchment-wings flapped neatly as the stamped memo flew into the Brain Room, its sweet but very light scent lingering in its wake. Once inside, it hovered in the air for a second, almost as if searching for the person it was addressed to, before coming to a rest in front of Alice.

The airplane twisted itself out of its airplane shape into that of a plain, uncreased sheet of parchment and, as it did so, Alice's own note fell out of it, right into Alice's hands. The neat, deep-silver handwriting on the first sheet of parchment read:
