Level 9 Break Room The Department of Mysteries can get tough, but fear not; the break room is here to settle those working blues. So, sit down, pull up a chair and releax. What else better is there to do? In the room sits several tables, along with a variety of chairs; from straight-backed to ones so soft that you can sink in, there's always a place to collapse. A magically-operated vending machine rests against a wall so you won't go hungry, and several magazines and books are scattered throughout the room. |
Candra sighed dramatically as she entered the Break Room. She was tired already, having stared at that Bell Jar for what seemed like ages... And now, here she was, taking an ill-deserved break. But it was needed! Mental check list: 1) Remove incriminating stain from robes 2) Relax 3) ... That's about it Candra removed her Magic-orientated sunglasses and slid them into her shoulder bag's pocket. She scanned around for a soft, comfy seat and when she'd moved to one on the far side of the room, she sunk down into it gratefully. Candra had a sincere feeling that she just had to 'clean' her robes, and quickly. She was still in her Muggle red top and blue jeans, and that wasn't exactly appropriate attire fr Ministry of Magic work... Candra pulled her stained robes from her bag, with her long, silvery wand (she had no idea why it was that colour, one day it had just turned like that), and begun the long and tiring work of cleaning her robes. |
Irene stepped into the breakroom with a cup of coffee. It was enpty except for one person--a woman was cleaning her robes. She nodded her hello and sat in a nearby chair with Quidditch Monthly, sipping her coffee. |
Kirk almost ran into the break room, slamming the door behind him. he saw the 2 witches in the room look up at the noise. "Sorry" he muttered, as he proceeded to the coffee machine. He made himself a double shot, full cream 2 sugar Cafe latte and sank into the nearest armchair, sipping quietly. |
Irene merely chuckled, as the loud noise startled her. "Y'allright?" She asked, smiling a bit as she sipped her coffee once more. |
Joshua walked in, nose in his papers. Then a delicious smell reached his nose. Coffee....., he looked up quickly, put away his work, and nodded hello to the two witches. He strolled over to the coffee and poured himself some, but he was quite fast about doing it, and soon he was sitting next to the wizard and holding out his hand. "Joshua Sigal, how do you do?" |
Parker entered the break room and found only a few faces and yet none that were familiar. She noticed there was some coffee and decided to get a cup. Hopefully that would make her feel better. With shaky hands, she poured herself a cup of the strongest coffee she could find within the room. She found a rather soft and comfortable seat and sat down since she wasn't sure she could stand much longer. She wasn't a huge fan of the doctor but she knew that an appointment was in order. Being sick was never fun, but being sick at work was horrible. Since she was should be working rather then seating. |
Stacey-Ann wandered into the break room with a copy of the daily prophet and sat down and looked about at her fellow department colleages |
Joshua held out his hand to one of the newcomers and introduced himself. "Joshua Sigal. How do you do?" |
Stacey-Ann smiled at Joshua and shook his hand and said "I am doing very well thanks Joshua yourself?" Stacey-Ann added "Stacey-Ann Newton lovely to meet you Joshua" |
"Oh, I'm fine, just having trouble with all the space belts" Joshua said scrowling. Then realizing Stacey-Ann probably had know idea what he was saying "I work in the planet room" he added quickly. |
Stacey-Ann smiled and said "That sounds interesting i work in the locked room which i have to say has been very interesting" |
"Yes...it must be..." James said, staring into space. Well, what do you expect, he works in the planet room! |
Stacey-Ann smiled and said "Yeah it is" Stacey-Ann added "So how long have you been working in the ministry for" |
Naoke entered the break room, which she, thus far, had not actually known existed. There were a few people, here and there, scattered about the room, but overall, it was quiet. She a magical coffee pot and wondered if there was any tea around. Of course there was! It was England, after all. She hurried over and poured herself a cup of what smelled like her favourite green tea. She took a sip and sighed contentedly. |
"Oh, I just started a couple days ago, since I've randomly selling junk for the last two years. And before that I was at Hogwarts" Joshua told her. |
Stacey-Ann smiled and said "Well i just started not that long ago either before that i travelled the world and i was at Hogwarts before that" Stacey-Ann spotted a chocolate muffin sitting on the counter and summoned it over with her wand and started eating it |
"Where did you go?" Joshua asked her. |
Stacey-Ann grinned and said "Australia, China, New Zealand, Mali, Morocco every country in the world and i was at home in South Africa for a couple of months while i was touring the world" Stacey-Ann liked Joshua he was kind and considerate |
Joshua just nodded as she went through the places she visited. |
Blackfire stumbled in. She was tired and wanted a hot chocolate with whipped cream, sprinkles and a flake and just a fig roll or two or three. In the end she took the whole packet. She collapsed in the chair with all her food and drink and got out a book to read while eating and drinking. She loved to read and you could easily find her with her nose in a book. |
The room was comforting and a nice place to be after the mishaps of the day. Elijah walked to the vending machine, picked out a bag of chips, and sat back, his mind fumbling over the mess that had been made. |
Joshua noticed his bosses boss sitting down comfortably down in a chair. "One moment, Stacey" he said to her, getting up to greet the big boss of level nine. "How are you doing, sir?" he asked, standing. Maybe one day he'll be promoted because of his good manners...god, he hoped so. |

He motioned to the seat next to him before the man could answer, offering him the opportunity to sit down. |
