The summer had drawn to a close with the start of a new term at Beauxbatons. While riding the carriages on the winged horses, the horses eventually land on an open field. The carriage doors open, allowing one to walk through and smell the fresh green of the grass and flowers. Up ahead is a set of pearly gates guarding the castle. This is where the school is ready to admit returning and new students. Before the gates are open, though, why not enjoy the fresh outdoors? The sounds of birds tweeting, majestic music playing on a harp, before the sorting ceremony begins.

New students are called individually to approach the enchanted fountain, which holds crystal clear blue water. They're given a token to flip where they can make a wish or a thought that the token will absorb. Once the token is flipped into the water, the water changes color before an item floats up for the student to take, which will symbolize the house you belong to. For Bellefeuille, a leaf. Papillonlisse, a butterfly. Lastly, Ombrelune will produce a ball that resembles the moon. Rarely, but not impossible, two or all three items will float; this is when the student can select the house of their choice. The item will float out of their hand to embroider itself on the student's robes.

Returning? Your friends and acquaintances have plenty of room to mingle with the marble benches where you can sit and catch up on your summer, and watch the new students and teachers walk by. The pearly gates await until it is time for everyone to enter the school.
