You may have to stand in line to get a snack from the trolley, but it's well worth the wait! All sorts of delicious and assorted foods are available... just please wait your turn without pushing, and have your money ready!
Note: no one plays the trolley lady, so please RP receiving snacks and paying on your own.

SHE HAD FORGOTTEN HER SNACKS!
SOS. SOS. SOS!
It was a sadness, really...Olivia, who was usually always so prepared on the food front, had been rushed from the house that morning. Both parents had been in on it, too, which had been DISAPPOINTING from her dad...harassing her to get ready for the next chapter of her life. So focused on making sure Gus, her ermine, was comfortable, she'd left an entire satchel full of jelly slug packets on her bed.
It wasn't an act. There were legit tears in her big, greenish blue eyes. This was the most tragic of all the tragedies to ever happen!
So, that meant tracking down the trolley. She needed food. Important facts about THIS particular girl...Olivia Phillips ran on ooey, gooey, yummy goodness. Aka food, duh. IF SHE DID NOT HAVE IT, BAD. THINGS. WOULD. HAPPEN.
...mischievous things, too.
Wiping at her face, a mixture of sadness, disappointment, and abundant impatience, the small blonde sidled up to the tail-end of the line. Maybe...if she begged super hard, her mum would owl the jelly slugs.
Did they not have an express line?! THIS WAS AN EMERGENCY.

She was not really a big fan of sweets but Rachel wanted to share some with her friends. She weaved through countless students, trying to avoid the hassle or getting bumped into and bumping into anyone. This was no easy task given that everyone was trying to find compartments and their friends.
"Excuse me, excuse me,'' the dark haired girl kept repeating as she side stepped everyone. Finally she came upon the food trolley but boo! There was a line already. Rachel didn't mind though. She had plenty of patience. The girl, with a smile on her face, watched all the bustle around her.
Boy, it sure was exciting to be on her first ride to Hogwarts!

Soooooo....the train was here. And that meant vacations were officially over, well, unless till tonight 'cause today's day didn't actually counted.
The now fifth year prefect was heading back to Hogwarts excited to see his friends and to find out who were the new professors. And of course, the feast, but since it was a long ride he needed something in his stomach and let's take a moment to be thankful for the food trolley because the Hogwarts Express wouldn't be the same without it.
Hugo made his way to the food trolley to fill his hunger. Anything would do, really. What caught his attention was a little girl who looked somewhat sad and maybe she had been crying...or not. He looked at her. "You good?"

Henric was going to buy pumpkin juice, he wanted to give one to his girlfriend because he loves her...duh. Oh no, there was already a huge line over at the food trolley! Awwh...he sighed.
Oh!! Wait...is that, Rachel!? He squinted his eyes to see more clearly. Merlin, it was definitely her! "Rachel! Yo Rach!"He called and waved excitedly at her. Did she remember him? Wah, she had changed so much over the term.
"You're finally here! I'm so glad!"he exclaimed happily, his face brightened up upon seeing his adorable friend.

.
.
Was she good?
Olivia gave the older boy a look that bordered on outright insanity. She was facing hours on this...pretty, but stuffy, train without the promise of something sweet to feast on. How...DO TELL...was she supposed to be good?
She'd worked herself into a right state.
"I'll be better if this line moves faster," came her grumpy reply. They were close, but...GUH, in her panic, Liv had somehow made herself more hungry. All she wanted was several jelly slugs to gnaw on...and then she could be off to have an adventure. With Gus in tow, of course.
Her blonde hair whipped up as she jerked her small face back up to the boy's. "What's that?" She was pointing to the shiny badge on his clothing.

Instantly, for some reason, Hugo regretted asking that question. Why girls, all of them, went mad whenever someone, especially a boy, asked them if they were okay?
Hugo just smiled.
Her reply wasn't so bad, as he expected to be. She was grumpy because of food, fairly understandable. He could relate. "So, the stomach is talking" he casually said. Then, he noticed the girl looking at his badge. Hugo looked down at it, "This? This is a...badge...." somehow he was having trouble admitting the responsibility he had now, not that he minded, but to be honest, he never expected to be wearing this. It look good on his robes though. "A prefect badge" he added.

Blaise wasn't hungry, not yet. His mum had made him a big breakfast of all his favourite things in the hope it would make him sulk less about having to go back to Hogwarts--suffice to say it didn't work but at least he wasn't starving? That was a brightside, wasn't it?
But then why be here if not starving? Also simple. That feast went on forever before they were allowed to eat and he didn't fancy starving later. It made perfect sense for the young Gryffindor who planned to thoroughly stuff his robe for when they got to school so he was gonna...stack...up...merlinwhatwasthisline???
O_O
This would not do. Also? Wasn't that Olivia? Blaise reached around the older boy (Hugo) to wave at her before simply cutting in front of him. (he wouldn't mind right? Right.) Wait was she crying??? The Second Year looked from her to the older kid. "Well gee, what'd you do to her?" His question caused his notepad and quick quotes quill to float closer to the boy, eager to distort whatever excuse he gave.

The line was making progress and Rachel was inching up closer to the trolley. She kept mentally chanting the items she wanted to purchase, especially those for Garreth and Haddie. She was halfway through doing one of those chants when she heard her name being called from behind.
"Henric!'' Rachel smiled broadly before exiting the line. She didn't care that she would loose her spot. No, she wanted to go see her friend. "Hello, Henric!'' The girl wrapped her arms around his waist in a hug, that being the best place she could reach given their intense height differences.
"I finally am. You've grown taller,'' she said with a giggle. "Will you ever stop?'' She looked up at him, her eyes filled with adoration. She had liked Henric from the moment she had met him in the joke shop two summers ago.

Ilia walked up to the trolley after having stowed her trunk in the front compartment, closest to the prefects one of course. Her boyfriend was in there and it would be the easiest way to catch sight of him. She thought it might be easier now with only tracking him down and not Adi too.....but he wasn't as easy to keep a tab on as Adi. She missed Adi's loudness....
Trying not to be sad about Adi not being here, she decided that she would get some pumpkin pie and juice and such for Henric, maybe a drink for herself too. She had queued into the long line quietly in thought, lost for a bit as the line slowly moved.....Finally obtaining treats and drinks which she placed into her expanding charmed leather satchel.
Walking back beside the line, she heard the voice she had been searching for. Did he see her? Oh.....no.....he was talking to someone else.....wait....who was Rachel? He seemed awful happy about whoever this Rachel she didn't know of was. He was an expressive and happy person and knew a lot of people, but if he was that happy about someone she should know them right?
SPOILER!!: Rachel xD Uh oh

As she walked up to see her boyfriend and hopefully FINALLY get a few minutes with him, a little girl that seemed oddly familiar popped out of line to hug him. Internally she sighed, her boyfriend was almost too popular for their own good. Him being a prefect wasn't going to make them having a moment any easier either.....and the threat of her mother on Hogsemeade weekends.....she groaned in her mind. It really reminded her of that muggle song her cousin Freyr was teasing her with this summer. 'Why must I be a teenager in love'.
She hadn't gotten a good enough look at the girl to realize who she was and didn't really care at the moment. She had walked up on the other side of Henric and gently placed her hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "Hey there Mr. New Handsome Puff Prefect." She greeted with a grin. Sorry little girl, she didn't mean to break up the hugfest here, but she really needed her boyfriend.....she didn't care if other people were here too if she couldn't get him alone.

Well, OF COURSE Ariadne was going to make a stop at the food trolley! She'd asked her mom and dad for money specifically for this purpose! She reached into her pocket and checked to make sure the change was still there. IT WAS! Ariadne continued in the direction of the trolley, already thinking about which sweets she was going to buy to last her the ride to the castle. She'd heard it was actually a pretty long ride.
She arrived ready to rush up to the cart and select her purchases. Unfortunately, there was a long line, which caused a slight frown from Ariadne. She joined the end of the line, still thinking about the stash of chocolate frogs she'd soon have in her hands.

...waiting was boring.
Bentley had snacks.
In fact he had enough healthy snacks to last him for a whole month. The problem was that he was probably the only one who's mum packed his lunch bag with healthy snacks. NO sweets, no puffs..no chocolate.
Lucky for him, grandma Bellaire and his dad gave him money so he had plenty to spend on the train at the food trolley.
"Are you getting candy too?" He asked the small girl standing in front of him in the line. "It's exciting isn't it? Being candy I mean...such a thrill." He felt like a complete rebel actually.

Ariadne was getting restless. The candy line wasn't THAT long, but she was eleven-years-old and standing still just wasn't her thing. She shifted her weight from one foot to the other then fidgeted a bit before getting still again. After all that, somebody else joined the line and started up a conversation! This was bound to be better than just standing there!
"Yeah, I am," she said, looking from the boy to the trolley then back again. "I want some chocolate frogs! And some Jelly Slugs!" Those were good, too. Ariadne wanted EVERYTHING, but she was too little to eat everything, and even her mom and dad weren't made of money. She had probably enough money to get enough for the trip and then a little to save for school. That was all.
She nodded. "I've been looking forward to the trolley sweets since I got my letter. It's one of the things I'm excited about the most! That...and my sorting and my first look at the inside of the castle!" she continued. She was just like a little ball of excitement just rolling around and waiting to BURST. "Are you a first year, too?" Because he looked like he was sort of her age.

And then moved off and was now waiting in line at the food Trolley..
She wondered what he would like.. and she bit her lip a little as she tried to think of something to get them both!

Oh this line wasn't about to get any shorter was it? He turned around and smiled at the girl who had just joined the queue. She got a nod and an excited grin...because candy!
'Hi!" He greeted.
"Chocolate frogs? Me too!" He was actually hoping that she would continue listing all the sweets she would get since he wasn't at all very familiar with them but she stopped just there.
He sighed inaudibly.
"Well are you going to keep the cards that come with the chocolate frogs or can I have them?" He wasn't sure girls were big on collecting chocolate frog cards.

Oh, the line moved! Thank Merlin! Sure, it only moved by one person, but just that one little move revived Ariadne's spirit and excitement. She stepped forward and took her new place in line. When she turned around, someone else had joined the line. "Oh, I remember you! I met you in Diagon Alley. Azura, right?" she asked. It hadn't been that many days ago, after all. She wasn't losing her memory that quickly.
Ariadne looked back at the boy, whose name she still didn't know. Her eyebrows wrinkled inward in response to his sigh. "What's wrong?" she asked. He'd gone from excitement to what looked like disappointment in two seconds or so. Ariadne collected chocolate frog cards, but she already had a bunch. "You can have the ones I already have," she said, "but if I get one I've been looking for, I want to keep it. Do you have any?"
"'Scuse me, 'scuse me," came a rough accent, as Sam tried to make her way down the corridor. What was the hold up? The boy-ish looking firstie with roughly cut, short mouse-brown hair and a ruddy complexion just wanted to find somewhere to sit! She was used to the bustling streets of Diagon Alley, and the lesser so ones of Knockturn Alley, but this was something else.
...but then she saw it. The food trolley.
She couldn't help but stand there and stare. All those sweets piled up, just like in Sugerplum's window...except here, on the train to Hogwarts. It was like being in a dream. Here she was, standing in the first ever clothes she could ever remember being brand new, a wand in her robe pocket, and there was a trolley full of candy in front of her.
The few sickles she had left from her school shopping suddenly weighed heavily in her pocket.

So. Unbelievably. Tempting.
Dora had been standing in line when she heard the voice... THAT VOICE! Turning with a bright smile she peered around the people behind her to seeee....
"SAAAAAM!! COME UP HERE!! " She shrieked whilst jumping and waving her arms about. Hehehe. SAM. Like her new friend Sam!!!
She was debating what she should do when her ears pricked up at someone was calling her name. Her immediate reaction was a frown. Someone calling her name wasn't usually a good thing, and she didn't reckon that she knew anyone here.
She must have been mistaken.
So it was a good job really that Dora couldn't have made herself much more obvious, shrieking and jumping and waving her arms around like that, else Sam would have just idly gone on staring at the sweet goodness she probably couldn't afford.
"Dora? Whatchu doin' 'ere?" Yes, ask the obvious question, Sam.

DORA UMBRIDGE HEAVED A SIGH AT SAM. Sighs. Yep. Shaking her head a bit she motioned for the other girl to join her.
"On my way to school. Same as you. Why didn't you tell me you were coming to Hogwarts?? " Dora dug in her pocket and extracted a lollipop Henric had given her earlier and offered it. "Treats on me. And you can sit with me if you like... you don't know anyone else here, do you?"

Azura's purple eyes widened as the boy in front of her turned around and greeted her with a wide smile. She gave him a bit of a nervous smile as she tugged on the ends of her black hair..
"Hi." She said as she gave him a little wave, only to lean a bit farther over as she heard another voice! A more familiar one!
"Yeah that's me! Ariadne right?" She said with a wave at the other girl. She liked quidditch and they were almost birthday twins!
She blinked as the conversation turned to Chocolate Frog cards.. "You can have mine if you wish." She said with a nod, she didn't really collect them anyways! "I'm Azura by the way." She said by way of introduction.
It was probably a good thing that Sam didn't see that sigh as she shoved her hands in her pockets, wrapping her fingers safely round her money pouch, and heading towards Dora.
On reaching her, she shrugged at the question. "Didn't fink ta, did I? 'snot 'ike ya ment'oned it eiver." She took the lollipop Dora offered shyly, twirling it round in her fingers to distract herself from ripping into it straight away.
"Fanks, though ya don't have ta. Me pa packed me lunch." What it was supposed to be, she wasn't quite sure, but it was edible and that was something. "Nah, a few faces mabbe." She liked to people spot, and the summer was as good as time as any with all the students around. But having someone to sit with? That'd be cool, for sure. "I'd like dat," she replied, her face lighting up.

Dora pulled a little face at Sam, but smiled promptly after. Mhm. "I assumed it was implied!" That she was a Hogwarts student, that is. Considering how she had met Sam... that she was going to be at the castle was not so obvious.
"Nonsense. I insist!" Her new friend was NOT eating a sacked lunch on her FIRST RIDE TO HOGWARTS! No way, no how! Dora wouldn't take no for an answer anyway so there was no use arguing with her. And the hands in her hips said as much.
A lopsided smile appeared as Sam agreed to sit with her. YASSSS! Hooking her arm through the other girls she nodded a bit. "Good. I'll tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about Hogwarts!"

"Yes! I'm starved!...Practically on the verge of DEATH if I do not eat SOMETHING soon!" Dramatic. She was being overly dramatic, but to Olivia, it felt like her stomach was gnawing on her innards. She was going to perish on her maiden voyage to school. Such a tragic end to this princess's reign. There were still so many wonderful dishes for her to eat, so many new experiences to be had at her new school...so many pranks to be played...
Ahem.
She was good at choreographing these things.
With a few of her pretenses dropped, ONLY a few, she twirled in place. "What's....a prefect?" Liv knew her father had been a quidditch captain back in his day, but...the prefect title was new to her ears. Sounded like perfect. Did that mean this boy was perfect?
The smaller blonde leaned up to examine his face a bit.
SPOILER!!: Blaise!

"Well gee, what'd you do to her?" His question caused his notepad and quick quotes quill to float closer to the boy, eager to distort whatever excuse he gave.

...and there was BLAISE.
Really, she could've done one of two things...but this was Olivia, and the mischievous option was the only acceptable one. So, face crumpling on command, she wrapped her arms around her friend's neck and buried her face into his shoulder: the picture of an upset little girl. It wasn't so far from the truth, of course. She was rather upset about her lost jelly slugs...but this was a clear embellishment on those emotions.
Also, the line was taking forever...and she was bored. Merlin, someone entertain her. "I'm so glad you came."

"Hii Rach!! Good to see you too, munchkin!"Henric hugged her back. He couldn't help but chuckle at her comment on their height differences. "What about you, hmm? Can you stop growing too! How did you get so tall?! You were this little when I last saw you! Did you make lots of friends already? Are you excited to be in Hogwarts finally?!" Henric bombarded her with questions. He missed her, she was like a little sister he wished he had. Come on Rachel! Tell him! He need an update about her life pronto. It felt like a lifetime ago, they last interacted over owl mails.
He felt someone's hand on his shoulder, he could recognised her voice from anywhere. "llia!" Henric turned in surprise. She was here the whole time? Why didn't he spot her in the line earlier? Merlin, he needed to get his eyes checked. Uh oh. He gathered himself quickly and gave her a kiss on her cheek. "llia, have you met Rachel? Rachel...this is her, my bestfriend that I told you about, "Henric introduced and reached for her hand, "We're dating now." He blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
