Olivia gave the older boy a look that bordered on outright insanity. She was facing hours on this...pretty, but stuffy, train without the promise of something sweet to feast on. How...DO TELL...was she supposed to be good?

"I'll be better if this line moves faster," came her grumpy reply. They were close, but...GUH, in her panic, Liv had somehow made herself more hungry. All she wanted was several jelly slugs to gnaw on...and then she could be off to have an adventure. With Gus in tow, of course.
Her blonde hair whipped up as she jerked her small face back up to the boy's. "What's that?" She was pointing to the shiny badge on his clothing.
Instantly, for some reason, Hugo regretted asking that question. Why girls, all of them, went mad whenever someone, especially a boy, asked them if they were okay?
Hugo just smiled.
Her reply wasn't so bad, as he expected to be. She was grumpy because of food, fairly understandable. He could relate. "
