Helena sighed as she walked into the work area; it was really quite empty in there. She supposed most of her co-workers were on their lunch break, or outside protesting. She offered a smile to the few people in there as she passed them. The blonde had decided against joining the protest, even though she agreed with it. Borr needed to go. However, she was planning on resigning in a couple of months time, and really didn't need the added stress it would bring. It was much better to just lie low, and avoid Borr's wrath in any way.

She was wearing flat shoes today: as she had been most days since March. Her tummy was slightly rounded, and her robes seemed less well-fitting than usual. Helena sat down at her cubical with a disheartened look, for she actually couldn't wait to get out of this place. Eyeing her pile of work, the woman groaned. Well... Might as well get started on it now...

Iridesca clicked into the work area of the first level on her blue heels. She was a little bit nervous today. It was after all her first day in Level One and being so close to the Minister of Magic. Plus, it was her first day doing a job that she had always hoped to do. Her excitement was almost electric but anyone who walked up to her would just think she was her usual happy self.

She walked through the area slowly...and a little lost...where was she supposed to start. She glanced around with a lost look on her face hoping someone would come up and lead her in the right direction soon!

After the fall of the cult and of Lord Borr, some changes were made around the ministry. Alexander Greingroth is now in-charge of that position and he seems to be the man appropriate for the job. Borr was just weird and had some insignificant rules to follow. He took advantage of his position and everyone was suffering from it.

So now, it's time to go back to work again huh.

Alexander woke up a little bit early in the morning. Had a sandwich on the way to the ministry and of course, his daily coffee and the copy of the Daily Prophet. Entering the work station, Alexander sat down on his chair and properly arranged his desk. Threw some of the unnecessary papers that was needed to be thrown. Scribbles and all that--- not really that important at all.

Recently the ministry is hiring. So he is expecting new workers for today.

Layla clicked into the office area and moved towards her new cubicle with her box of stuff floating in front of her. Level one was completely different from her previous department..different atmosphere, different people. Yep she was definitely starting over here but at least she was ready for this. She had a degree in Media and Communication for Merlin's sake.

This was what she had worked for.

She lowered the box to her desk and began unpacking her items, glancing around the room every now and then.

With all the formalities over with security check and checking in at the front desk Natasha headed into the office area to inspect her new workspace. Her sister had neglected to mention that after Borr's fall the security was still up-scaled. Shaking her blond curls a little she moved towards her cubicle.

Taking a note of the dark haired woman unpacking in the cubicle next to her Natasha flashed her a smile "Good morning. First day too?" she asked gesturing towards the box. Arriving in her own cubicle the blond started to slowly unpack things from her own handbag like a picture frame and a gigant sized pack of parchments.

Her area was basically sanitized and completely organized within minutes and she had resorted to staring at the grinning picture of Bryce when a voice seemingly directed to her caused her to look up. This was to be the woman she was supposed to be working with. Well she assumed as much since she was moving into the cubicle next to her. That was for the other ML she was sure.

She nodded and smiled.
"Morning. Yes it is." She turned around and sat on the edge of her desk." Your's too I see." She tilted her head a little as her eyes rested on the stack of papers the woman just placed on her desk." Are you the other media liaison?"

Tamara made her way into the work area in which she knew she was assigned. Hmmm. It was awfully... crowded was it not? Where was HER desk? Errr -- her CUBBY hole. Hehe. She kind of liked the idea of being able to hide behind her cubicle walls to get work done. Way more effective. She approved.

Smiling around her she smoothed down the front of her dress and made her way toward a small group of employees. "Hello. I am a new Ministry Advisor... can anyone tell me if I am assigned a cubicle or am I free to merely find an unused one?" she asked with a winning smile.

After Konrad pointed where she should go, Ruth made her way toward the work area. She was glad to see that the work area was not as crowded she thought it would be.

The red hair spotted one of an empty desk and its perfect. Konrad said that they free to choose the desk, right? She put her belonging in her desk. She smiled when she saw another new employee. Ministry Advisor she said? "Hello. I'm Ruth Flitzpatrick. I'm the new Internal Liaison Supervisor." she introduced herself. "You're free to choose an unused one." Well, that was the guy in the lobby area told her.

So this was the Ministry of Magic. They have cubicles for each employee.

With so much in his mind right now, start working at the same time, meet new colleagues, Elmo moved his way towards an empty cubicle just like what Konrad, the secretary told the other one who entered.

One, two, three, four, five...This is the one. He placed his bag at his desk and seated in his comfy chair.

Natasha's cubicle was within minutes organized and re-arranged to fit her every possible need. Like her father had always said if you don't like your workspace then you won't like your job either. Eyeing her family photo for a minute she wondered when it would be a good to tell her parents about her new job.

Hearing the dark haired woman's melodic voice Natasha twirled around in her chair to face her. Nodding she said with a beam "Yes it is and I'm actually quite excited to start working."

Other Media Liaison? *blink* When the words sunk in her face lit up into a big smile "Yes I am. Natasha Warrington. And you are Layla Dacosta, my partner?" Hopefully she hadn't misremembered her new partners name.

Layla nodded and crossed her legs at the ankles but didn't move from that little sitting position on her desk. This was comfy. She raked her hair back then glanced at the table prophet that she had just pinned up."I can't wait to start working either and it seems we have a lot on our plates" You know with the whole cult fiasco and all. After all she was unaware of any other level one media liaison workers so the Daily Prophet had free reign of the story. That needed to be handled ASAP.

Layla smiled at the woman, then leaned over and extended her hand to her."Yes, that would be me. Nice to meet you Natasha." This was nice, she was Layla Dacosta partner, not Layla Dacosta, Dacs' sister or the other Dacosta from Transportation." So are you new to the ministry or just the department?"

Tamara turned toward the woman that was speaking to her and nodded slightly. So they were free to choose and unused cubicle. Fun!

She began to walk toward a desk set off a little further away from the others when the woman introduced herself. Making her way back over she extended her hand and smiled. "Pleasure to meet you, Ruth." That would suffice by way of greeting, yes? Hehe.

"Is the breakroom stocked with decent tea do you think?" Tam asked as she jerked her head toward the desk she was going to take. Yes, the other woman could walk and talk with her if she so chose.

Under her desk Natasha crossed her legs and moved around in her chair until she sat comfortably. Layla was perched on her desk which seem like a good alternative but Tasha wasn't interested in wrinkling her new skirt. Glancing over at the prophet her partner had pinned up behind her she asked "Where do you think we should start the damage control? By talking to the Minister himself?" The cult was thrown down, but the work with dealing with its effects had just begun. Gesturing towards the prophet she asked"What is the latest from the 'lovely' prophet?"

Shaking Layla's outstretched she beamed "Likewise Layla I have a feeling we are going to work well together."And gut feelings in her family was always to be taken seriously. Licking her dry lips Tasha said truthfully "I'm totally new to the ministry, a novice one might call me."

"How about you, are you a senior employee or a newbie too?"she asked curiously.

See Natasha was clearly quick thinking. What better way to get to the heart of the matter, than starting with the heart itself. See the more they knew of this story inside and out, the better they would be at actually smoothing over whatever needed smoothing over and covering up what needed to be covered up."Yeah I definitely think we should start there..I mean the undersecretaries will be of no use to us. They're both new..the minister was the undersecretary for Borr so he'll be the perfect person to go to."

Layla pulled the prophet from nthe wall and handed it over to Natasha."Nothing good trust me. It's been mostly bad press since Borr took over." Not that she knew why when she was working at Transportation. Back then, she had no qualms with the guy.

The dark haired woman grinned at her new partner. Yep she could totally tell that they could work. Maybe the minister knew what he was doing when he employed them.

Ooohh a newbie. That was fine, clearly it wasn't like the woman was fresh out of university. She seemed to at least have some experience working.

"Nope, senior worker. I've been transferred here from transportation."

Wally walked into the office and looked around for his desk. He found it and pulled out his briefcase. He set it on the desk and opened it up. Wally pulled out a picture of him and his dad from the last time he was home in New York and a picture of him and Sammy. He smiled as he took a seat and looked around the office. There were so many people for him to meet! He was still grinning like crazy too. Wally was just in a good mood today. He went back to his briefcase and closed it before placing it on the floor.

Becky walked up to her desk. It was good to be back. Level one would be ten a hundred times better with "Lord" Borr gone. She put down her gargoyle pen holder, then the photo of her little neice, Millie. She smiled at it, fondly. Then the paperwork. The boring stuff. What she was s'posed to do while at work. Meh.

They need to get to the heart of the matter as Layla put it; the minister and get as much information as possible from him before they started taking action. Without real facts what they had to go on was what the Prophet fed the public and that was by definition only half the truth and probably misinterpreted down the line before it hit the paper pages.

"I see well the undersecretaries we can leave for now. Anyone else you can think of that might sit on with valuable information among the department heads and senior ministry employees?" Natasha asked not up to speed fully yet with who worked where and in what positions. With her sisters help though she was making a big power tree for the ministry which down the line would come in handy.

Grinning at her partner Natasha smirked “A perfect combination; new and senior. Our minister must be a clever man. I owned and managed a furniture shop before starting here. What type of work did you do in Transportation?" The blond supplied willingly.

"Think we should arrange a meeting with the minister at his earliest convenience through one of his secretaries as our first order of business?" It was best to start working before the dust cleared.

Nala entered the work space, sipping on her smoothie. Checking watch, the witch sighed. Not late.
Taking a seat, she spread out some work that needed doing. She had left some of it at the last minute, that and waiting for her new position did not bode well for Nala's stress levels.

Smiling at familiar faces, she settled down and picked up her quill.

Layla got off the table and settled into her chair, pondering Natasha's question. She then began searching through her bag for a list she had thrown in shortly after the take down of the cult. She knew it was in there somewhere.

Aha!

She handed the paper over to the woman.It was a list of all the aurors involved in the take down. A few random level two workers were on there too but not much.

"That is a list of all the aurors, but I think we should focus on Bole...he was in charge of the whole operation after all."

Layla chuckled, yeah seemed the Minister was deliberate in his actions."I'm glad you didn't say new and old. I don't know how I'd feel about being called old." Yes senior was a much better choice of word." Oh well thats different...I did research on muggle artifacts while at transportation. It really took you about, you know..."

"You are absolutely right, we should do that. So I guess our first order of business is clearing away the old business."

"Pleasure to meet you too." Ruth shook the woman's hand. "Umm..I'm sorry. What's your name?" All she know that the other woman is the new Ministry Advisor but the red hair didn't recall her name. Or maybe she missed that part.

"Tea? I dunno. I haven't had a chance to visit the breakroom yet." She walked right into the work areas after she signed up in the lobby. "But I hope they do stock a decent tea there." She need a decent tea if she want to survive the day. She can't live without it.

Natasha pondered. They could probably interview her sister and Wesley too since she knew that they probably had been involved in the cult chaos even if Izzie hadn't exactly said anything to that affect. But how else did you get a nasty bruise if you didn't duel?

Taking the list from Layla she skimmed through it. "We can interview my sister Isobel too. She was promoted to head auror after the cult was destroyed." Looking down at Bole's name she admitted "My sister used to go out with Bole. So i know him a little. I don't know if that helps or hinders us though in our task." Hopefully Natasha reasoned it would help them not hinder them.

Grinning widely Tasha giggled "I would never say old because judging peoples ages isn't easiest. I've been wrong more time than right."

Muggle artefacts???

"Um what could be a muggle artefact, anything antique?" It couldn't hurt to broaden your knowledge even if artefacts necessarily wasn't something which they would need to know a lot about dealing with cult effects.

Standing up Natasha grinned at Layla "Yes I couldn't have put it better myself. We have to clear away the old to make room for the new. Let's go see if the Minister is available in his office." If not they could always arrange an appointment with one of the senior or junior secretaries she was certain.

"So very sorry! I am Tamara Scamander." She thought she had introduced herself... but clearly she was wrong.

"Well it is my personal experience that if one wants decent anything from a break room they had better provide it for themselves," Tam Scam said with a wink. Digging into her bag she pulled out a small picture frame that housed the ONLY family shot of the Scams from recent enough years. SIGHS. Why were her children so evil now? Aside from Dale that is.

"Have you got any children Ruth?" Tam asked suddenly as she placed the framed photo on her desk.

With the chaos surrounding the Celebration Ball now over, Alexander decided to venture outside his office and into the lobby area and work area. According to the records he'd read, level one had a number of new employees, so perhaps it was time to head out and officially introduce himself to all of them.

Stepping into the general work area, Alexander peered around the room, taking in the faces of employees old and new. "Alexander Greingoth," he said, stretching his hand out to an unfamiliar face. "Welcome to level one." His gaze traveled to a few other unfamiliar faces, and he gave them all a nod and a grin.

Well... there was the MINISTER himself. Just the type of person Tamara should be rubbing elbows with. Yep indeed.

Taking the man's hand she smiled brightly. "It is an honor, Mister Minister. Tamara Scamander, one of your new advisors," she said as she gave his hand a good shake and then released.

"I hear congratulations are in order, Sir? Recently married?" A shame, that was. A fine man like that should not have settled down. Ever. Marriage ruined relationships. And she should know. Jonah and she got on great now that they were separated.

As Alexander waited with his hand outstretched, he tried to mentally place this woman. He'd gone through all the files, but there'd been so many that he couldn't quite place her from memory. It'd have been nice to address her by name, but no. He wasn't able to.

"Mister Minister?" he repeated, laughing good-naturedly. "Feel free to call me Minister Greingoth." Not Alexander, no. Not yet at least. He shook her hand then gently pulled away, letting his arm dangle by his side again. "Well, welcome to level one, Miss Scamander. I'm assuming you've found your first day to be a good one, hmm?" He sat down in a nearby chair and gestured for her to do the same. "...and one of my Advisers. Hmm." He shook his head. "You'll have to excuse me. We've just hired a good amount of new employees, and I've got a myriad of files I'm continuously processing." He made himself a mental note to read up on names and informational files as soon as he headed back to his office.

Oh, and listen to that. She'd already heard his good news. Word travels around, yes? "About to be," he answered. "We haven't set the date yet, but possibly soon." An an afterthought, he added, "Thank you, though."
