“Would anyone like to tell me why we get a ton of homework to do over the Christmas holiday?” Lorelei complained loudly as she hurried into the common room and sat down on a nearby chair.

“Because the teachers have nothing better to do.” a voice came from behind her. Lorelei turned to see her best friend walking over to her. “What do you have?”

“A two foot long paper on goblin rebellions for History of Magic and three rolls of parchment for Defense Against the Dark Arts.”

“That’s it? Stop complaining. It could be worse.”

“I don't see how.”
