After a little work, he managed to extract himself and then it was time for them to do a switcheroo. "Okay, here goes nothing..." Biting her lip, Lux grabbed a hold of the plant, trying her hardest to restrain the vines.
PHEW.
It wasn't easy, but after a few moments - that felt like an eternity - she had them into what one might call a knot if they were being generous. "Okay, you got this." Hopefully. She was trying her best to keep the vines away and so far was succeeding.
Ready. Ready. SO READY. Toby stood there, bouncing on his toes, shifting his weight from foot to foot like a boxer who was ready to GO. Except he wasn't gonna box. Wasn't even gonna wrestle the vines. That was Lux's job, he was just READY, LITERALLY ON HIS TOES, WAITING FOR HIS MOMENT.
And there it was, HIS CUE! HUZZAH! The Hufflepuff gave a NOD and PLUNGED his hand into the gap in the Snargaluff plant that Lux was helpfully keeping the vines away from. He closed his fingers around a pod, pulled it out and all but SLAM DUNKed it into the bowl with the other one.
WOO!
"S-U-C-C-E-S-S, THAT'S the way we spell SUCCESS!"
Overreaction? PSSHHH, N'AWWW. That was their second pod, and that part of the activity was DONE. Toby held up his hand for a HIGH FIVE for whenever Lux was done dealing with those vines, and looked around at Millard, because at that moment he'd revealed the next part of the activity.
