Deciding that the curry didn't have anything in it- because if it did it wouldn't have tasted this good, probably- Alice scooped up some more of it, finishing off all the flatbread he'd brought. Pity. It was really good.
Was there still rice left? Her stomach had space for it.
She got a
look. Alices were complex and confusing creatures, yes, but Mo wasn't stupid. He knew what interesting meant, and Alice qualified. She was funny and clever and she always had something to say, even if it wasn't a thing he wanted to hear in that moment. "Magic," he agreed, finally. "To skip the stupid parts and go right to the being fine."
If such a spell existed, Mo would find it.
He shoved himself back up and filled Alice's plate again, giving her the rest of the rice and half the chicken. He was a growing boy, so the other half of the chicken was his by default. "I wrote about a lot of people, actually. I dunno how you could do this assignment and not write about people, but I didn't use any names and I doubt the professor knows me well enough to guess. Or would want to guess." She'd have to really be interested in teenage drama, and Mo couldn't see that happening.
