Well, that wasn’t the only thing that attracted him to the space. Purring slightly, Ryoma made sure his hair was looking good and he approached the pretty blonde who seemed to be working the table. “Fancy seeing you here,” he said with a smirk. Marshmallow squeaked and nearly fell of his shoulder. “Marshmallow was hoping to see you again, look, he even dressed up.” He pointed to the red bowtie.
Putting together a gift bag, Gretchen didn't bother looking up from her task at the sound of passing feet. She would socialize soon, make the rounds and speak with people. That's what she told herself, and then a newly familiar voice spoke up. Gretchen looked up at the man from the Leaky Cauldron with a sweet smile, "Hello Ryoma!" The young woman chuckled at the feline perched on his shoulder, putting the final touches on the bag and set it aside. "Look at you, handsome as ever Marshmallow. Was he the only one hoping to see me?"
Noticing Alexander slip over, Gretchen's expression brightened.

"Hello" she smiled, both to Gretchen the name on the name-tag told her what her name was other than that she would have been hopeless. "Aren't you adorable," she commented as she saw Marshmallow the little adorable thing nearly fell off his owner's shoulder. Yes she was talking to a kitten.
Turning her attention to Gretchen she smiled. "What is it you have in the gift bags? Anything special?" She asked with a wide-eyed smile.
Gretchen smiled warmly to the two women whom stopped, curious of the gift bags. "Now that, I can't directly answer. It would ruin the surprise, but that" Brown eyes turning toward Alicia when the young woman asked if it was anything special, "I can answer, and agree to. Many neat, special things in honor of and relating to the party in some way."

She looked at the bags a bit cautiously though. What if they exploded? There was something odd about being here in the first place after all. "Excuse me, can you tell me why we might be getting all of this?" Katrina asked, tilting her head slightly. It was just odd how there was a mandated day off for everyone just to attend a stupid party.
"Of course," Gretchen answered, smiling once more. "Lord Borr values his employees and friends, and gift bags are a way to show appreciation and thanks for coming to a party when invited." Gretchen paused for a short moment, deciding whether or not to add another detail. She probably should. "And actually we're selling these, as souvenirs from the event. All the proceeds go to very important funds to lend help where it's needed-"

He waited his turn in line and finally was at the front of the line. He put on his best grin and tilted his head slightly as he said, "Hello Gretchen! You look absolutely beautiful tonite!"
Gretchen nearly jumped out of her skin at the arrival of an unforgettable voice that could only belong to Charles D'Isigny. She didn't need to look to know, but the young woman did look, and managed to smile warmly. A faint flush to her face. "Hello Charles. Thank you, you look rather dashing yourself," Gretchen's voice softened. Hearing Alexander excusing himself and Ryoma from the table, her brown eyes moved on to the two men, holding back a frown.
Alex was leaving her with
him, and taking Ryoma along?
