xD Hehe. Alright! Ummmm. I'm Dee, better known as Gryffindoll around SS. I'm a college student, soon going to be 20 (I feel so old! =[), and I loooooove making graphics and posting all over SS. ^____^

^___^ You're welcome. Hehehe. Now, to start us off... how did you get into the Harry Potter fandom?
Ooooh. Wayyyyy back in 4th grade. During homeroom time, the kid who sat in front of me was ALWAYS reading the books. He was reading Sorcerer's Stone at the time, if I remember correctly... Anyway, the cover seemed so cute and whimsical, I just sat there staring at the cover of his book like *O*. So I made a note of the name and then went out to find the book myself. I started reading it and have been hopelessly addicted since then. <3

Awwww! So ickle. :3 Can I ask what your favourite book in the series ended up being?

I think it was because of the TriWizard Tournament; it's just so different from all the books before it because you get to kind of get a broader view at the wizarding world, get to learn of other magical schools besides Hogwarts and the book introduced a few new memorable characters that we all still love today. Though I did miss the Quidditch a bit. xD

Ahhh Quidditch. Greatest game ever. :3 Was GoF your favourite movie in the series then, too?
Actually, no. I'm not entirely sure why, but I feel more attached to the very early movies - 1 through 3. I guess it's because I was younger back then and so it was a little easier to get lost in the screen, now I kind of look at them and... KNOW it's just a movie. xD But either way, they're all absolutely amazing. <3 But I'll always be pro-books. ^__^

They were so cuteeeee in the earlier movies, weren't they? *____* with their squishy little faces! *squees*

I forgot to ask this... lol we're barely into the interview and I've already forgotten my questions. How did you find SS? And how long have you been a member?

Baha! Umm. To be honest, it was SO long ago that I don't remember very clearly how I found SS, but I'm pretty sure it was probably through a google search on either Dan or Tom (I was obsessed with them at the time. ). I think it led me over to the SS galleries, and then I got to see the rest of the forum and decided to join, it seemed like a pretty awesome place. & It turned out to be so.
I've been a member for 7 years -puffs out chest proudly- Hehehehehe. I love having been a part of such an amazing site so long, it's amazing. <3

You're as SS old as meeeee! Can I ask what part of the site really held your attention? What kept you coming back?

Hmmmmm. I think it was two things: Madame Malkin's & Borgin & Burke's. Graphic-making and RPing had always been my two favorite parts of the site.

And you're VERY good at graphic making. AAAAAAND I saw you RPing in the school before, hehehe. I think I actually played with you for a few posts. You were FUN.

& Yeah I joined the school RPG for a bit a while back! Hehehehehe I remember RPing with you too! It was pretty neat! I might join the fun again soon, as soon as I make up my mind on a charrie to use.

So you stayed for Borgin & Burkes and Madame Malkins... is it safe to say that they're still your favourite areas of the site?

& Hmmmm. I don't know, there's SO many places I like now that I wasn't really a part of when I first joined that I really, really love. Like WWW, the Fan Clubs, and the forum I currently have an obsession with the most right now - the Fan Clubs Birthday Bash of Goodies one. -Cough-EVERYONEGOJOININTHEFUNNOW!!-cough-

I think we've talked about SS and HP enough. How about we move on to NON-Harry Potter stuff? Like books that you like that aren't Harry Potter, maybe?

Ooooooh, non-HP? I'm like a huge history nerd - or, more specifically, Renaissance history nerd. So I LOVE historical fiction books based around that time (and preferably taking place in Italy. HEHE. [/obsessed]), or books that hint toward that kind of stuff. The Rule of Four, by Ian Caldwell and Dustin Thomason is one of my favorites, as it's a bit sort of Da-Vinci-Code-ish.

Ooooh history nerd FTW! *high fives* Italy has such an intriguing and deep history so you're probably swimming in books. Any made into movies that you enjoy?

& YES! That's one of the main reasons I'm so hopelessly obsessed with that country.
Unfortunately, no, none of those books have been turned into movies though I would really love if a movie was made from The Rule of Four, it really is an amazing book with a great plot. But even so, I still like to watch movies based on those times, even if they're not based on a certain book or I haven't read the book. I'm completely addicted to anything hinting toward those times. <3

Ooooooh. Scary movies, scary movies, SCARY MOVIES! I love anything that will give me nightmares for weeks! It's horrible, I know, baha, but I like when movies have a strong impact and I just love the thrill of your nerves being like… especially aware. It's sort of a thrill, I guess. xD

You're a fan of that tingly feeling you get all over when you know something scary's gonna happen, aren't you.
