It goes well. I mangled my finger a little today, or rather, had it mangled, but I KNOW how to remedy it. You ready for this? … Beards. You put one on, I put one on. *beard on*

Oh, I know right? *twirls it* Anyway, shall we commence forward? Or are we teaching some age-old wisdom to the youngsters?

You know, I know this isn't answering the question, but it reminded me of something and made me laugh: I once got a PM asking me if I was an owl. I'm sure they meant something else, but I thought it was a ... wait for it ... HOOT! Hahahahaha. [/lame jokes]

Actually, I've had my name legally changed to Touz. Bahaha. It's so weird to me when someone comes up with my real name on the site now, I just prefer to be Touz. Or Lainey if you're IC/OOC confused.

I am a full time student - so if you've ever PM'd me and it's taken me ... oh ... a week to respond ... it's probably because 1. I've lost your PM or 2. I'm seriously that busy with school. haha. And I enter beard growing contests, of course.

Oh snap! Really? Might I ask how you came to receive such a worthy name like Touz?
Oh I'm so glad you asked. I don't get asked this enough and it's my absolute favorite SS story.

*listens* ... *and waits*
Way back when, like when dinosaurs roamed SS, and Dumbledore was still auburn, and I was a Ravenclaw.... I lived in what is the present day "TP" (then it was the PoA). And I mean, quite literally LIVED there. A few of us did.

*nods empathetically*
And of my coinhabitators was my Jennz, or Jennifer_w. And one day, randomly out of the blue, she named me Touz (she had issues with my name, name haha). And it stuck like GLUE and I have been Touz ever since. But, it's really special to me because my Jennz is no longer with us. So, by keeping the name, in my own way, I get to keep her. She'd like that, I think. ... Now, some of our Arabic buddies on the site tell me that Touz is ... erm ... potentially a dirty word in their language ... so to set the record clear, Touz was generated randomly from a very sweet Portugese lovely with a high affinity to Winnie the Pooh and no idea that Touz was a potentially ... erm ... funny word in other languages.

Wow. That's intense, but very sentimental. I had no idea it was so touching. *eyes the Arabic buddies* Oh do they? Well they're probably just jealous *nods*
Hehe. Oh, yeah. Everybody needs a name like Touz.

*STROKES HER OWN* Your mention of being a Ravenclaw brings up another question of mine; as far as I know, you’ve been History of Magic Professor for like FOREVER. So that makes me wonder if you ever played a student character in the school RP? If so, how many terms?
I was just telling someone the other day that I have a monopoly on HoM for SS. hehe

Let's see. To answer the question.. I was a student for a couple of terms. But, I'll be honest, I was no where NEAR as intense as you guys are. I went to classes and had fun with homework, and tried to follow the story - but you guys put me to shame for real. ... I'm ancient, no doubts about it. But I DO remember the HoM Professor before Lainey and I hot glued ourselves to the slot. hehe.

Oh you’re so hilarious if you think I know that. I mean, technically as the HISTORY person I should know that I guess.. Erm… like term 6 or 7ish? *trails off* Here. Let me like.. do the Charleston to distract the readers from that horrible answer. LOOK EVERYONE: A bearded owl doing the Charleston! *DANCEHOOTDANCEHOOT*

LOL.. I figured it would be a memorable event in your own personal School RPG records, but I guess things were way different then, huh? ... Ooh. you dance? *applauds*
I kind of got hired in at a weird time. Well before we all got real technical with our histories and advanced RP characters. This is how it went: "ERIN OMG I need a character!! What's yours like? Can they be friends???" And Erin was like, "Yeah, dude, that'd work. Let's do that" and we sort of... just rolled with it. Lainey was developed as I went. hehe. Which is probably why she's so completely absurd today.

Well that does explain a lot about Lainey right there.

So you don't really remember when you first made HoM Prof, but do you remember your first mod job?
My first "mod" job, if you will, was to be the Ravenclaw House Ghost. But theeeennn Hendrik needed to replace that ole' HoM professor I was telling you about (Kerdewel - she got busy in that placed called the "real world" - scary place. Don’t go there if you don't have to) and viola... He asked me to take it on. And I did. And that was the beginning of the crazy ... thing..

Oh real world, I think I’ve heard of it very strange and scary there. *nods*

So Miss Touz, we ended on the note of the scary and strangeness of the real world. Which brings me to ask of you what YOU do in the real world?
Ermm... well. I deliver letters... haha I mean I go to school. I actually go to school a lot, so when I don’t respond to a PM in a few days.. well.. You can assume up to my ears in a paper. haha ANdddd I read a lot, and go to the beach every chance I get.

Read a lot? What books outside of HP are some of your favorites? *waits* ... *cues Jeopardy music*
Well I think we ALL know that I LOVE love LOVE Twilight and all things Edward. Duh. We're all aware of this. BUT - since I have everyone's attention I would like to shoutout to one of my new favoritish authors: Mr. John Green.

:O So does this mean you're on Team Edward!? Oh noes! *luffs on Jacob*
His third novel thing just came out (Paper Towns), and I haven't gotten it yet... but I DO recommend all of you picking up An Abundance of Katherines and Looking for Alaska. And if you KNOW who John Green is already.. then I have one word to say to you: *NERDFIGHTER* ... Ew man. Of COURSE I'm on Team Edward. I LIKE Jake, sure, but... he's not for our Bella.

Sorry, but I prefer the REALISTIC and DOWN-TO-EARTH guys, tyvm. Then again, I haven't finished reading New Moon yet either.. school and all.

WHAT??? Yeah. Finish Eclipse and then we'll talk about who you prefer.

That will need to wait until December though, but yes, I'll get back to you on that.

Hooooo yeah. I LOVE John Green (and his brother Hank). His latest book came out ... last Thursday or so? I'm on the waiting list for it.
