a graphics competition ; they say a picture is worth a thousand words
Welcome to One Word, One Picture, or 1W1P for short. This is a graphics competition in which you will be given either a theme {one word} or an image {one picture}. The challenge is meeting the theme or utilizing the image within the given parameters {an icon, a signature, or a profile picture}. All graphics must comply to the SnitchSeeker size and weight requirements.
Something unique about this competition is that the winners of each round will be asked to share a graphics tip, texture, hint, or aid that they used in making their winning entry. This way, each round that you enter {even if you don't win} can help you improve your graphics-making!
- Roughly once a week, I will post a theme {one word} or an image {one picture} and the challenge rules.
- You must PM me your entries {up to 2 per round} within the posted time limit.
- I will post the entries and a poll.
- You will vote for your favorite icons within the given voting limit.
- The winner is announced, banners are awarded, tips are given out, and the next challenge begins!
- You are allowed up to two entries per round.
- When entering icons, each must be 100 x 100 and under 20 kb.
- When entering signatures, each must be no larger than 450 x 150 and under 60 kb.
- Entries are ANONYMOUS. Do NOT tell people which are yours or post/tweet/VM/IM/etc. clues about your entries.
- Do NOT vote for your own entries. I am an admin. I will know.
- Do NOT tell your friends to vote for your entries.
- Do NOT reveal your votes to others {or at least not until the round is over}.
- If you wish to wear any of the entries, wait until the end of the voting period when a list of entrants will be posted so you can credit the makers.
- All images must comply with SnitchSeeker Board Rules.
