If you've hardly ever visited the Space Room, the sight of it may disorient you a bit. Within a few steps of the entrance door you are engulfed in total blackness. The only light you see comes from what appears to be stars and distant nebulae. The magically created replica of the universe is designed for optimum study and testing of physical laws relating to space and magic, though unintended discoveries sometimes rear their heads from time to time.
Stepping a little further in and bearing to the right should find you in one of the departments more curious rooms. Reach your hand out and watch it be surrounded by light as well as become light. That is lose it's heaviness. You've reached the Anti-gravity chamber. Feel free to stretch out, enjoy some tea from a tube, or do a bit of charm testing. Just remember to clean up after yourself.

He may (read definitely) have manly squealed at the beauty of their surroundings. In fact, although he would never admit it, there were tears forming in his eyes as he looked upon what he had only dreamed of seeing as a boy. It was almost as though his childhood fantasy of becoming an astronaut - a dream that had been crushed many years ago in a training accident - had become a reality. Only a small part of him in the back of his mind had already acknowledged that this was NOT real and it was only the production of some stellar magical bells and whistles...but the little boy inside him...that little boy that refused to grow up and put imagination over everything else...wanted to convince himself that it was real.
Even if just for the afternoon.
"HUH?" he grunted suddenly, returning his attention to the department head. "Oh...I...er...my..." How exactly DID he introduce Medea to others. She wasn't his...that word that starts with a w and ends in 'ife'...but she wasn't just his girlfriend either. "...partner..." That was right, right? Anyway. "...practices yoga quite often and has taught me a thing or two..."
Wiping the eyes now. Casually. Grown man over here. Excuse him.

As Jasper stepped into the Space room, he began to hear unusual noises coming from the Astronomer. Taken on their own the noises themselves were not too unordinary, but considering their source Jasper hoped it wasn't for suffering that the noises made themselves known. Was that suffering? Was Mr. Flamsteed greatly upset?
Oh no. Not at all.
It had been a very long time since Jasper had been around such intense joy and he thought it was a blessing as he considered himself quite empathetic. Secretly, he reminded himself to try to cast his patronus after this meeting. Yes. His instincts had steered him correctly toward the professor. This idea only was only further reinforced by the confirmation of having done some yoga in his lifetime.
"I trust you have a good sense of balance, then Professor. It may come in handy with our simulation board." Jasper, being the indulgent man that he was, then said the following, "Before we begin, would you care to familiarize yourself with it?" It might actually be preferred to have their discussion on the surface of a moon. The Astronomers might also like to heave their details and input as needed as well.
