Video: Orlando mayor announces Wizarding World Florida park expansion to open in 2014
The mayor of the city of Orlando, Fla., Buddy Dyer, mentioned something rather significant regarding Harry Potter at his State of the City address on Wednesday. In the half-hour speech regarding the entirety of the city, Dyer stated the Wizarding World of Harry Potter expansion - rumoured to be Diagon Alley and London - will open sometime in 2014. The State of the City address can be watched here (Dyer discussed Universal's plans at 14 minutes in).

My friends and I have been tossing around dates and 2014 sounds right. The new hotel looks like it going up quickly and the expansion is looking nice as well. Can't wait to see how much more progress they will have in the coming weeks.
