Video: Helena Bonham Carter, Timothy Spall & Gambon in 'The King's Speech' trailer
The first full trailer of The King's Speech, starring Harry Potter alum Helena Bonham Carter, Timothy Spall, and Michael Gambon, has been released online. The movie tells the story about the man who became King George VI of the UK (played by Colin Firth), who suffered from a terrible stutter growing up. With the aid of speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush), George gained the confidence and voice he needed to lead the nation into World War II. Helena plays his wife and mother of current Queen Elizabeth II, Queen Elizabeth; Michael Gambon plays King George V; and Timothy Spall portrays Prime Minister Winston Churchill. The trailer can be viewed below.
The King's Speech is set for a November 26, 2010 release.
oh this is gonna be awesome, I'll have to start saving money for cinema !!! First HP and then this!! so glad I'm moving to the UK in only ONE week now sorry to say it again
Seems like a most interesting film. I hope I get to watch it.
I just can't imagine Tim Spall as Winston Churchil. He's a great actor, but, respectfully, not enough to portray the Great Bulldog (with all due respect to the British people, Lord Churchil is one of the characters I most admire in History).
Wow, this looks amazing. They have such a great cast of actors; I'm definitely going to watch this. Timothy Spall as Winston Churchill, though? I'll reserve judgement for later.
i have no problem with Timothy Spall as Churchill,if i have a problem with an actor looking like his character it will be Michael Gambom as George V. However i have complete confidence in the brilliance of both actors to caputure the essence of their characters that physical likeness or lack of won't get in the way.
