Video: Harry Potter Wizard's Collection highlights, top features, SnitchSeeker review
SnitchSeeker not only had the chance to review the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection, out now, but will be showing off a few highlights via the video and photos below. The 31-disc definitive Harry Potter set, with all new footage on Blu-ray, can be purchased now.
In the video below, see a few highlights of some of the best features of the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection, including the jaw-dropping map of Hogwarts and surrounding famed locations in the Wizarding World (Diagon Alley, the Burrow, Privet Drive), as well as the blueprint of Hogwarts used and recycled throughout the series, including the finale in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The blueprint shows the location of various classrooms and corridors featured in the films coinciding with screenshots from the movies where they were featured - i.e. the greenhouses from Chamber of Secrets photographed next to the design of the greenhouses outside of the castle.
Along with the maps come two sets of cards, one in color and the second in black and white - the latter display art renderings by production designer Stuart Craig, who has been imagining and creating the world of Harry Potter since before the release of the first film, and going on to facilitate the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks in Orlando, Los Angeles, and Japan. The cards show what Craig had in mind when he first created the designs for Gringotts bank in Sorcerer's Stone and the Hogwarts bridge, an addition outside of the book series, for Prisoner of Azkaban and beyond.
A full review of the Harry Potter Wizard's Collection can be read here; video (with a sample borrowing of Harry's Wondrous World from the Sorcerer's Stone soundtrack by John Williams) and photo highlights of the set can be watched below. They include all the new footage from the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary, parts 7 and 8, those extra 15 minutes of interview footage with J.K. Rowling and Daniel Radcliffe, and an extra several hours of behind-the-scenes clips from the bonus disc (all blu-ray formats).
I got mine and have been working my way through everything since last night. I love all the new information on the bonus DVD. Lots of awesome moments (i.e. the original stunt double for Daniel Radcliffe and why he's not anymore). I am really enjoying it! Mine is #17242. Does anyone know if the 63000 is per country/group? I ask because I can't see how any would be left in a world wide total to be selling still. Thoghts?

There are 63,000 sets worldwide, and the only ever available of the set.
I received my Wizard's Collection 2 days ago. The sheer size of it was surprising! However, I had notice a problem with the map of Hogwarts. If you look closely, orange and purple spray can be found all over the map. Originally, I thought that it was just my copy, but after looking at the video (start from 1.04), it seems to be on every copy. This sort of compromised the quality of the map.
Gah! I've been waiting for this review. Thank you SS and MoM for reviewing the Wizard's Collection. The map is beautiful. I would pay full price for the box and map alone but alas tuition is more important right now. I hope supplies last until I can afford them.

Do you think the spray is an extra flourish to make the map look old or are they all random in your map and the one on the vid?
Hope those hours of deleted scenes get leaked for us Muggles. Hope everyone who bought it enjoys the Wizard's Collection to it's fullest for us who couldn't.

It definitely does not look like part of the artwork. It is randomly all over the place and even on the pictures itself (which kind of ruined it). Hopefully someone can look into that.
