Video: Dan Radcliffe talks Equus, Deathly Hallows & more (UPDATED)
CBS's Early Show has updated with a photo and quotes from their interview with Daniel Radcliffe, which took place this morning. In it, he talks about Equus and getting ready for Deathly Hallows, which starts filming early next year:
On Equus:
Quote:
"It's amazing. I never predicted when I first came to this studio -- what, like seven years ago now -- that I would actually be on Broadway doing a show. You know, they're awesome, but I miss stuff about home but, ultimately, I'm 19 and I'm on Broadway and it's just kind of amazing," he said.
About the upcoming Deathly Hallows production:
Quote:
"It's going to be filmed as one movie, but we're going to release it as two. I haven't seen the scripts yet, so I can't tell you anything, but I am very, very excited," he said.
Dan also answered fan questions, which ranged from his taste in music to how he's enjoying living in New York City:
Quote:
"One of the things I enjoyed the most was being able to wander around Central Park. It's a really fantastic place. And it's kind of wonderful. And also I like the fact that there's a great, there's a comedian whose name I think is David Cross and he talks about the fact, in New York, you have to make a decision every 20 minutes 'Do I look at the most beautiful woman I've ever seen or the most craziest man I've ever seen?' That's what I love about this city. It's wonderful," he said.
"There's a great -- there's a band called The Wedding Present, who have just released a song -- who have been going for ages, I think. They just released 'Hope Loves Betty,' which is great. Now I'm struggling to think. Holy Ghost Revival, a band. They have a song called 'The Gospel According to Judas.' They're sort of between, there are bits of Bowie and glam rock. I can't think of any more at this particular point in time," he said.
A small photo of Dan from the interview can be seen here:
UPDATE: The video is online now, and can be viewed below:

I gotta go back to the muggle world,
they're gonna try and tell me this wasn't, that none of this happened,
but you know what? It wasreal. It did happen.
We spent time here. We made friends here. That's a part of us.
Cause Hogwarts is bigger than any of us, of any of it's founders,
and it's going to be around long after we're gone.
Maybe we'll see our kids come here one day.
That's the thing about Hogwarts.
No matter how long you're away from it, there's always a way back.
i want to go!
but thats way to much money!
the whole thing for two people would be around $600 or more!! (including travel, the play, hotel, and food)
=/ i wish i lived in New York or had money!
haha
That was a much better interview than the Today Show. Yes, he is definitely growing fast and he gets handsomer and handsomer. I have very glad that I had the opportunity to see Equus a couple of weeks ago and see Dan in his act the way he did. He was fantastic/awesome. I wouldn't mind seeing that play again. Richard Griffiths was a consummate actor. I'm glad that Dan is learning from him. Good luck with the #7 movie(s). That's the movie that I can't wait to see.
