Post The Truth About Miss Watson's Dress

As it turns out, the lovely dress worn by Emma Watson at the London 'Goblet of Fire' Premiere last week was previously owned! The UK's Telegraph reports:

Quote:
The cream silk chiffon gown, embroidered with gold sequins, which Emma wore at last week's premiere of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, originally belonged to the "screen goddess" Anna May Wong
Quote:
Like Emma, Miss Wong, pictured in a similar dress, stood at 5ft 6in and also started her acting career as a child star, in a silent film, The Red Lantern - produced in 1919 she was 13.
Quote:
This is where the similarities end. Miss Wong, who died in 1961, was known by film critics as a seductress, exotic temptress, a femme fatale, whereas Emma has been described as a "happy-go lucky girl next door".

Thanks to The Leaky Cauldron for the tip!

oh god your impossible first of all like i said before she was never quoted in the entire article so we don't know what she even said in her own words i know how the media works and if making this nice girl sound aroggant will sell better than they'll do it. and emily browning has more experiance then emma, so what i should have said is that she is better than anyone her age who has acted in ther first four movies plus i never said she was an onscreen goddess in the whole industry. one more thing i' never even heard of emily browning till now see i googled her name to find out what she acted in
Do you come from Australia? Did you read the Daily Telegraph on the day after the Premiere where Emma was quoted, with the quotations marks and all? No i dont think so. And what would a newspaper with credit want to twist around Emma's words around? Emma Waston is not even popular in Australia, only Harry Potter fans know her, if i went out to the street and said 'do you know who emma waston is" they'd not even know what i was talking about, so why would the newspaper want to make some story about a girl who is practically known by only about -40% of the population? She seems big headed anyway. Dont get so flushed, no one is trying to pry Emma from the limelight which she is so desperate to have. No one is saying she is a bad actress, im saying its time for her to come back to earth, and loose that baggage in her head, cause she isnt going to be popular with fans if she becomes too big for her boots.
