Actor Ralph Fiennes briefly spoke about his role as Lord Voldemort in Half-Blood Prince at the London premiere of his upcoming film, The Duchess, implying that he will return to play the Dark Lord in the sixth Harry Potter film: Quote:
Talking about the forthcoming Harry Potter film, The Half-Blood Prince, in which he stars, Fiennes said: "I haven't seen it yet so I'm not sure if it's scarier than the others."

Are u sure he's in this one??? In Empire magazine it said that Voldemort wouldn't be in this one (apart from in the flashbacks where he's either a young kid or teen)

It's always weird to imagine Ralph as Voldemort, because they look so different. At least he doesn't have to walk around the streets being booed by children because his appearance is that of a baddie.

Personally, I think this was a misunderstanding. Fiennes made it clear back in March that he would not be in this film. Perhaps the author of the article only assumed he was in HBP, and only asked him what he thought of the new movie? Either that, or they had reshoots and we were never told.

There is the possibility, though why would they mislead in their article? Given the new information, it's possible that Ralph was required for Voldemort late in production, and that's why he could confirm it now rather than six months ago.
