| | |  New Deathly Hallows footage to preview at 2010 Comic-Con; cast not attending
Warner Bros has just announced that the cast of the Harry Potter film series, as well as director David Yates and producers David Heyman and David Barron, will not be attending the 2010 Comic-Con, which will take place from July 22-25 in San Diego, Ca., due to scheduling commitments. However, new footage from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be screened during the convention. Quote:
[Warner Bros] are going to have some amazing never-before-seen footage and props from the film along with a special opportunity only available to Comic-Con attendees.
UPDATE: Comic-Con's official site has stated that the Deathly Hallows preview will be shown on Saturday, July 24 between 11:45am - 1:15pm: Quote:

DUDE, I wanna go so bad! But there's conflicts: the first day of the event is my dad's birthday, the second day I have senior class pictures, and... the other two days, I'm free. The biggest issue is the fact that they're basically sold out and it's expensive.  Maybe the cast can come next year.

They're all probably busy, unless WB is pulling our leg and they want it to be a surprise appearance.

not one of the cast and crew are showing up? makes me kinda wonder if theres even anything new in that footage. usually they need someone to intro this, most specially if it contains footages that has not been seen anywhere.
makes me wonder if all they'll have is a merchandise kiosk with screens playing footages we fans have already seen, like that ABC special or something. Quote:

Well, on the bright side for my own selfish reasons of course, though the cast not attending is upsetting, I'm kind of happy and relieved to hear that. I would have been devastated, since I'm not allowed to attend, to know that the HP stars were just hours away in San Diego, while I was sitting at home crying my eyes out over it.
However, I'm sorry for those that are attending Comic Con, and spent all that money to see the HP cast, and not have them arrive.  At least there's new DH footage...
