| | |  Los Angeles schools chosen for J.K.R. book tour
Students from 40 schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District have a chance to attend J.K. Rowling’s Open Book Tour in Hollywood on October 15. The students will compete via an essay contest with only one student from each of the 15 high schools, 15 middle schools and 10 elementary schools being chosen as winners. At the event, to be held at the Kodak Theatre, Rowling will read from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, answer questions and sign a book for each student.
Scholastic will also donate 5,000 copies of Sorcerer’s Stone to the Los Angeles school district.
